Amir Khan swaps £1.2m mansion for modest bungalow across the street that wife Faryal Makhdoom spent ‘£250,000 revamping’

AMIR KHAN swapped his £1.2million Bolton mansion for a four-bed bungalow over the road that wife Faryal Makhdoom spent £250,000 on revamping back in 2018.The former unified light-welterweight world champion and I’m a Celebrity’s parents used to live in the modest property.

But Khan, 34, set up camp in the smaller dwelling after overseeing a number of luxurious changes, which includes a ‘man cave’ that was once a garage.
The kitchen, bathrooms and all internal spaces have been totally gutted and renovated by luxury developers The Address Interiors, reported the Daily Mail.
Khan, whose new reality TV series Meet The Khans: Big in Bolton airs on Sunday night, and Pakistani-American student Makhdoom, 27, had a public bust-up in which she was called a “gold digger” and accused of sleeping with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
And in 2016 Khan’s dad Sajjad accused his daughter-in-law of being a “bad mother” for leaving her young daughter in New York while going to Khan for a training camp.

With their marriage believed to be suffering, the pair put their mansion on the market for £1.6m last year before lowering the price to £1.2m.
But they took the property off the market and moved into the bungalow after it underwent a fancy renovation.

It took a year to complete the property’s amazing turnaround, with it being finished in May.

Anthony Joshua is ONLY current boxer to avenge a heavyweight defeat as Dillian Whyte prepares for Povetkin rematch

DILLIAN WHYTE is out for more than just revenge tonight against Alexander Povetkin – he is also looking to create a little chunk of history. The Body Snatcher, 32, was stunned by the former world champ, 41, in Eddie Hearn’s backyard in August 2020.

This time they clash over in Gibraltar with the Brit desperate to avenge that loss and regain his place as WBC interim champion.
However, despite Whyte being the huge favourite to win, William Hill has discovered history is not on his side.
The betting company have conducted a study analysing rematches involving every current heavyweight boxer in the top 15 WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF rankings.
And it has revealed that only SIX PER CENT of first-time losers have gone on to seal revenge.
Amazingly, the only one who can claim to have done that is Anthony Joshua.
The WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO title holder suffered defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr in a huge shock back in the summer of 2019 at MSG.
But AJ, who has agreed a £200m contract to unify the division against WBC king Tyson Fury later this year, quickly bounced back and re-took his championships the following December in Saudi Arabia.
There were 34 heavyweight boxers analysed in the study with 17 fights leading to a rematch.
BETTING SPECIAL – GET 20/1 PRICE ON ONE+ KNOCKDOWN DURING WHYTE VS POVETKIN

But it found a huge 88 per cent of the original winners went on to claim back-to-back victories.
Just six per cent of the fights started with a draw before the rematch was settled with a victory – that was Fury’s eventual win over Deontay Wilder following their epic first fight draw.
Fury, Wilder and Derek Chisora have been involved in the most rematches with three each.
Whyte will be fighting in his second after previously disposing of Chisora with back-to-back wins.
Meanwhile Povetkin is entering uncharted waters having never previously been involved in a rematch.

Anthony Joshua is the only current heavyweight to win a rematch after a lossCredit: Reuters
And the Russian’s hopes of a trilogy should he lose tonight do not look good either.
Only six per cent of the fights headed for a third clash – Trevor Bryan’s trilogy of victories over Sandy Antonio Soto.
A William Hill spokesperson said: “If the first fight between Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin is anything to go by, we’re all set for a thrilling second bout this weekend, with Whyte desperate to gain revenge over the Russian.
“However, Whyte may want to look away now, as if our research is anything to go by then the odds are well and truly stacked against him.
“Of the heavyweight rematches we analysed, a mega 88 per cent of them saw the original winner claim another victory, while just six per cent of them involved the loser avenging the first defeat.
“History looks to be on the side of Povetkin on Saturday, but it will be a fascinating watch to see if Whyte can rewrite the record books in Gibraltar.”

Watch Ben Askren facepalm Jake Paul before furious YouTuber slaps and shoves boxing rival in explosive face-off

BEN ASKREN humiliated Jake Paul as the world watched on by facepalming him at their pre-fight press conference. And in return the seemingly furious YouTuber reacted by giving the retired UFC star a slap and a shove as his back was turned.

Askren was unfazed by Paul’s posturingCredit: Getty
The loud-mouthed YouTuber faces retired UFC welterweight Askren on April 17, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
A media event was held on Friday, hosted by Snoop Dogg, to promote the much-maligned but intriguing showdown.
Askren seemed to get under Paul’s skin for much of the night with comments about his older and ‘more talented’ brother Logan.
There was a lot of posturing from a jittery Paul, 23, as he tried his best not to let Askren get a word in.
At one point he even pulled his phone out to continuously replay a clip of his record-breaking defeat to Jorge Masvidal in 2019, the fastest KO in UFC history
But after the back and forward, the two men squared up.
Paul was fidgety and appeared nervous as he bounced from foot to foot muttering expletives in Askren’s face.
But the 36-year-old remained stock still with a grin on his face that suggested he didn’t take the inexperienced fighter very seriously.

And to make it clear that was exactly how he felt, as Paul turned away to hold his fist up to the camera, a nonchalant Askren turned, pushed him in the face and strolled off stage.
A visibly rattled Paul did NOT like it and ran back towards his opponent slapping him in the back and shoving him.
But Askren kept his cool once again, laughed and carried on walking towards his team.
Paul has two knockouts in as many fights, against online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ and ex-NBA player Nate Robinson.
Askren is an ex-ONE Championship and Bellator champion but was renowned for his grappling rather than striking and even admits he was not gifted with speed or power.
However, after social media barbs between the two, he has agreed to swap the cage to pull on the boxing gloves for the Triller showpiece.

Boxing star Dillian Whyte was shot twice, stabbed three times, and became a dad at 13 – but still achieved his dream

DILLIAN Whyte is gunning for rematch redemption when he fights Alexander Povetkin this Saturday in Gibraltar. The Bodysnatcher was stunned by the veteran Russian when he was knocked out in the fifth round of their first scrap in August.

Now he has his chance of revenge in what really is a career-defining bout on the ‘rock in the sea’.
The plush surroundings are a long way from how far he has come.
‘The Body Snatcher’, as he is frighteningly nicknamed, grew up in the concrete jungle of Brixton as a self-confessed thug, where he had to use his fists to get himself out of bother.
But that didn’t always work when guns and knives were brought to the fight.
As a street kid, the 31-year-old British heavyweight boxer was shot twice and stabbed three times on the mean streets of South London, as gangs ran rife.
And as soon as he became a teenager, Whyte’s life changed dramatically when he became a father for the first time.
However, that hasn’t stopped the 6ft 4in brawler from succeeding in life – who recently saw his name cleared of any doping charges as he still targets a world championship title fight.
Whyte was born in Jamaica in poverty, and his mum left the family home in Portland when he was just a toddler to find a job in London.

Whyte’s mum left the boxer when he was two-years-old in Jamaica and moved to LondonCredit: Instagram

“Man when I was growing up in Jamaica we suffered, suffered, suffered,” he told BBC Sport last year.
“Some days we couldn’t eat, we’d go to bed hungry. She left me with people who didn’t take very good care of me.
“They were taking the money my mum was sending and was telling me she wasn’t sending anything.”
By the age of 12, Whyte and his brother Dean joined his mother in Brixton. But soon he was wayward, corrupted by the cruel, impoverished surroundings he was growing up in.

When Whyte was 12 he moved to Brixton to rejoin his mum
He was stabbed three times, once sewing himself back together instead of heading to his local A&E at King’s College Hospital in Camberwell.
Whyte was also shot twice after getting caught in a gang war in Clapham, and painfully had to remove a bullet from his leg because he didn’t want to bother his hard-working mum.
“I took the bullet out and hid out,” Whyte told The Telegraph.
“It was out of respect for my mum. I didn’t ever want to bring police to her house.
“Doesn’t matter what I did or how bad I was, I showed respect for her. If I was ever injured, I couldn’t go to the hospital in case they alerted my mum, so I did what I had to do.”
    TIME INSIDE CHANGED EVERYTHING
At school and growing up on an estate, Whyte was often asked to take on bullies, who he gladly put on their backsides in exchange for change and sandwiches.
“I’ve always been a fighter,” Whyte told the Daily Mirror. “I’ve never had a choice. Growing up I had to fight to survive.
“Kids used to pay me to fight bullies for them, I swear. At schools and around my estate. The bullies were older and bigger than me.
“Sometimes they gave me food, it could be sandwiches or it could be money. I think £2 was the most I got and £2 was a lot back then. You could buy a hell of a lot of sweets for £2 back then.”
A threat of spending life behind bars changed Whyte foreverCredit: Dave Pinegar – The Sun
In his late teens, Whyte found himself in prison in Bristol awaiting trial and facing up to 20 years behind bars.
An emotional visit from his mum and sister opened his eyes, and he hated seeing them upset.
“My older brother died and she was saying she didn’t want to lose another son,’ Whyte told the Daily Mail.
“As bad as I was, I never wanted to disappoint my mum.
“When she came to the prison in Bristol, she said, ‘Son, we’ve been through so much in life’. I looked at my mum’s face and the tears rolling down her cheeks and I felt bad and I felt ashamed.”
It made Whyte change his ways for the better.

Whyte also competed in the MMA, flooring his only opponent Will Riva
Whyte needed something to channel his anger and aggression growing up, and he found it in the discipline of boxing.
It’s fair to say that Miguel’s Gym provided him with the platform to build another life for himself.
“I didn’t do too well at school, to be honest, but boxing saved me and changed my life,” Whyte once said.
“And it was going well, because I knew it was my best chance in life.”
But originally, Whyte tried his hand at professional kickboxing. And he was a success too.
He was a two-time British heavyweight kickboxing champion, claiming the BIKMA Super Heavyweight British Championship title, and was also a one-time European K1 champion.
He ended his K1 career with an impressive record of 20 wins and just one loss, before turning to MMA.
In 2008, he fought at the Ultimate Challenge MMA – defeating Mark Stroud with a hugely destructive left hook only 12 seconds into the first round.
    DADDY DAYCARE
When he was just 13-years-old, Whyte became a father for the first time. He has since had two more children.
But it was becoming a teenage dad that meant he had to grow up quick.
“I was a dad at 13-years-old so I have been looking after kids and I had to rush my mental state, growing up a lot faster,” he told 1 News.

“When you become a dad it changes everything, where most kids were running around I’m working two jobs and doing other things to get money to feed my children.

“I’m trying to win these fights so my kids have a good life and make sure they don’t have to struggle the way I struggled.”
At the age of 13 Whyte became a father for the first time. He has since had two more children

In 2009, Dillian began a career in boxing at amateur level.
And for his first fight, at the age of 20, he couldn’t have fought anyone tougher.
Whyte squared off against future heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua, and in truth he battered him.
Joshua was floored in one round, with his opponent on the front foot throughout their three-round fight. In the end, Whyte was the victor by unanimous decision.
In another contest, he left another amateur opponent in a coma after knocking him out – thus earning his vicious ‘The Body Snatcher’ moniker.
But Whyte’s amateur career was short-lived after a dispute with the ABA regarding his kickboxing background, and he was forced to turn pro in 2011.
As an amateur, Whyte famously defeated Anthony Joshua

In 2012, Whyte failed a drug test after his victory over Hungary’s Sandor Balogh.
He tested positive for the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine (MHA), which he claimed he mistakingly took with a nutritional supplement called Jack3D, and was handed a two-year ban.
Whyte appealed a year later, but the ban was upheld even though a tribunal accepted he didn’t knowingly take MHA.

“The supplement was described on the container as ‘an ultra-intense muscle supplement, giving strength, energy, power and endurance’,” Charles Flint QC, the chairman of the appeal tribunal, said in 2013.
“It was plainly intended to be a performance-enhancing supplement which an athlete should only take after having taken great care to ensure that it does not contain a prohibited substance.
“The athlete took no steps to make any proper enquiries of his manager or coach, any person with medical or anti-doping expertise, or the sports authorities, as to whether the supplement was safe to take.”
Although that set him back, Whyte is now stronger than ever.
From life experience alone, he’s certainly worth it.
Dillian Whyte says he’s going for the knockout and isn’t considering a loss against Alexander Povetkin More

Chris Kongo details journey from being stabbed at 16 years old to dream world title fights with Crawford and Spence

CHRIS KONGO walks his way back toward the ropes, invites pressure from a stumbling Luther Clay before delivering two venomous left hooks. And just like that, 16 months of agony away from the squared circled are wiped from his memory as Clay’s corner mercifully throw the towel in. A systematic beatdown.

Chris Kongo is undefeated as a pro, as is Michael McKinsonCredit: /Dave Thompson#3/ Matchroom Boxing
It was touted as a 50-50 affair, just like Kongo’s clash with Michael McKinson tonight has been, too.
For the second successive fight night, Kongo will be gunning for a win before watching manager Dillian Whyte in the main event against Russian veteran Alexander Povetkin – but this time, he’ll be doing it in Gibraltar.
Kongo exclusively tells SunSport: “I boxed abroad loads as an amateur.
“I was always boxing in Europe. One of my best performances was out in Holland, I was the only one from the London team to come out with the win, little things like that I remember.
“It’s a great experience but I always knew I would be on this big stage and it’s about time. I had my hardships like not fighting for 16 months but when I was out I was training and ready for the call.”

Hardship isn’t anything new to Kongo, though. The Bermondsey native has loved boxing from the very beginning, but like plenty of teenagers up and down the country, he, too, was led astray as a 16-year-old.
“I grew up in Bermondsey, I’m literally five minutes away from Jamaica Road,” he adds. “I have all my friends here, but they’ve always been more interested in football.
“And there were times where gang culture was very high.
“I did get involved in gang culture and I’ve been stabbed before myself when I was 16. That showed me where I don’t want to be and now I know where I need to be.”
McKinson, who donned a Portsmouth shirt while Kongo sat kitted out in his Millwall threads at Thursday’s press conference, could prove to be another stumbling block in Kongo’s life.

He’s 19-0 and your archetypal slick southpaw with as much skill as many of the welterweights on the domestic scene.
Kongo explains, in as relaxed a voice as possible, that he doesn’t care what McKinson can do in the ring, as he’s got bigger fish to fry once Saturday is all said and done.
“McKinson brings more experience than Clay, he’s fought the better opponents, he brings a different style, he’s a southpaw but I’m ready to overcome all of that and give him his first loss,” Kongo says.
“The world rankings are the way I want to go, I don’t want to fight Josh Kelly or Florian Marku.
“Marku has had eight or nine fights so why would I want to fight him. I wanted to fight him as a last minute opponent back in December but he wasn’t interested. He fought someone else and got a draw.
“I came back from 16 months out the ring and I didn’t just beat an active fighter, I knocked him out. That shows the level I’m at.
“The level I’m talking about is being a multi-weight world champion. Right now it’s my time to go up and no-one is going to stop me.”
Chris Kongo last fought against Luther Clay in August, winning by 9th-round TKOCredit: Dave Thompson Matchroom Boxing

A win would likely propel Kongo to No 6 in the WBO rankings, with Vergil Ortiz Jr, Egidijus Kavaliauskas, Shawn Porter and world champion Terence Crawford occupying spots in the upper echelons of that particular bracket.
Those are the names, as well as Errol Spence Jr, that Kongo wants to mix with.
He fawns over the big name boxers he watched growing up, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike McCallum, Roy Jones Jr, Mike Tyson, Vernon Forrest and Pernell Whittaker, before committing his boxing future to legacy rather than money.
“I loved boxing way before money got involved,” Kongo says eloquently.
“It’s all about the legacy. There’s always issues to do with money, Crawford and Spence don’t want to get it on because they’re talking about percentages.”
Terence Crawford is the WBO welterweight champion and a target of Chris Kongo’sCredit: AP
Those two names pop up again moments later when Kongo reveals they’re both on his welterweight radar.
A big night in Las Vegas against one of the top pound-for-pound best fighters in the world, perhaps?
“I’d love to fight Crawford and Spence… but how cool would it be to have a Bermondsey boy fighting at The Den one day instead of Las Vegas?” More

Dillian Whyte ranks the best five heavyweights in world and claims he’s THIRD behind Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua

The 32-year-old was knocked out by rival Anthony Joshua in 2015, and lost to the Russian Povetkin last year.
And the Jamaican-born fighter has established himself as one of the most feared men in the division thanks to epic victories against the likes of Derek Chisora, Joseph Parker and Lucas Browne.
Uploading a clip on his Instagram story, Whyte was asked by a fan who he believes are the best active heavyweights.
And he stated that he believes he is a better fighter than former world champions Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr.
He said: “Top five heavyweights would have to be Tyson Fury, Joshua, me, Deontay Wilder probably and Ruiz.WHYTE NOISE
“Or one of those guys I guess.”
One of those boxers could be unbeaten Ukrainian star Oleksandr Usyk who has moved up from cruiserweight having become the undisputed champion.
Another potential fighter to challenge Ruiz Jr for fifth place could be Kubrat Pulev – who is set to challenge AJ for the IBF, WBA and WBO belts later this year.
Whyte recently signalled his intentions to swap boxing for UFC, with MMA monster Francis Ngannou a potential opponent.
Commenting on Whyte switching sports, former UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping backed Whyte to take on Ngannou.

The tension seemed very real between the two, but Askren was having some fun with the younger Paul brother, whose elder sibling Logan has also previously entered the fight game and is on course to meet Floyd Mayweather later this year.
Askren said: “2021 seems like a tremendous year to beat up the whole Paul family.
“I’m gonna have fun with this, that’s what I came for. Jake thinks he’s a high level boxer, I think he’s fairly delusional, I guess we’ll find out.”
Things then threatened to boil over when the retired MMA star said: “If you and I ran into each other in a back alley in Las Vegas and I wanted to do a homicide…”
