The UFC’s first African heavyweight champion shared snaps of his latest meeting with Tyson and retired MMA star Brendan Schaub to his Twitter and Instagram pages.
The posts’ accompanying caption read: “It’s always a great time with the legend @MikeTyson. New @hotboxinpodcast episode drops soon.”

He told TMZ: “Every time that they compared me to Mike Tyson, you know for me it’s just an honour that they can attach my name to somebody like Mike Tyson.
“Growing up, hearing about Mike Tyson, even though I didn’t have a chance to see him fight because I was in a small village and we didn’t have a TV and stuff.
“It was very hard for us to have access of those stuff but as soon as I had a chance I just go on YouTube and keep watching Mike Tyson tape and I was so impressed by him and was just dreaming to become like him.”

When asked if he’d box Tyson, he replied: “I don’t want to fight Mike Tyson, but I would like to fight another heavyweight boxer such as Tyson Fury.”
He added: “This is in the future, it’s somewhere, definitely.
“I’m going to box; I have to box in my career.
“My main dream has always been the noble art and even though I deviated into MMA, which I love, I still have to fulfil something in boxing.”

UFC fans are hoping Ngannou’s next outing will be a blockbuster showdown with former light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
But the mega-fight is being held up by an ongoing pay dispute between Jones and the UFC brass.
The heavy-handed Ngannou has been offered a June rematch with fan favourite Derrick Lewis.
But it’s understood he doesn’t want to perform a quick turnaround following a long and gruelling camp for his rematch with Miocic.

Mayweather worked with White for his 10th-round stoppage win in a boxing fight against McGregor in 2017.
Also in attendance was RIZIN CEO Nobu Sakakibara – the promotional company hosted his exhibition thrashing of Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018.
It’s not known whether the two businessmen are involved in Mayweather’s scheduled exhibition scrap against YouTuber Logan Paul.
Mayweather is set to face the social media star in a pay-per-view spectacle this year.
In an interview with entrepreneur Rob Moore, the boxing legend was asked if he is fighting Paul, who is 0-1 as a professional.

The WBC king was seen working on his body attack
A £500million two-fight deal to fight WBA, WBO and IBF strap-holder Joshua has been agreed.

As well as keeping up his sparring, Fury is also busting a gut on weights and cardio too.
Footage shared by Fury’s trusted strength and conditioning coach, Kristian Blacklock, revealed the Gypsy King working his pecs on a cable machine.
The unbeaten Brit was also seen strengthening his neck muscles with a weight harness, designed to improve punch resistance.
Fury is expected to take his team over to Las Vegas ahead of the AJ fight to link up again with American head trainer SugarHill Steward.
He will likely set up base in Nevada at his US promoter’s Top Rank private gym, with the help of local trainer Jorge Capetillo.

Eddie Hall responds after UFC icon Joe Rogan blasts ‘terrible’ boxing technique ahead of big Hafthor Bjornsson fight

EDDIE HALL says he took ‘no offence’ after Joe Rogan slammed his ‘terrible’ boxing technique ahead of his fight with Hafthor Bjornsson. The British former strongman faces rival Bjornsson in September, in a fight billed as the ‘heaviest boxing match in history’.

In preparation, Hall uploaded videos of his training, but was hit with criticism by UFC commentator Rogan.
But he responded on his YouTube channel: “I love Joe Rogan, I absolutely do love Joe Rogan
“Look man, people can speculate, they can make assumptions, they can guess, they can do whatever they want, but I’m knocking Thor out.
“There’s no doubt in my mind. So, people can say whatever they want.
“I take no offence to Joe Rogan’s comments. He’s an experienced guy, he knows what he’s talking about, but he doesn’t know the full picture.
“You look at a few clips, you can’t make assumptions from that.
“It doesn’t bother me in the slightest, it doesn’t put me off. I hope it gives Thor more confidence, because he needs it.
“He’s in deep trouble. And I’d still love to go on The Joe Rogan Show and tell him a story for everyone to hear.”

The response comes after Rogan and and guest, CrossFit legend Mat Fraser, watched some footage of Hall’s recent training.
He said: “That’s not good. Right away we’re seeing that we have a real problem. Yeah, this is terrible.
“He’s very rudimentary, but also you see that his body is very stiff. Looking at him sparring there, he’s just not moving so good
“This is super stiff. He’s throwing these punches with his arms. These are arm punches, almost like he shouldn’t be hitting things.”

Jake Paul warned he will be thrown to ‘floor’ and mauled in ‘dirty’ Ben Askren fight, predicts Georges St-Pierre’s coach

JAKE PAUL is in danger of being ragdolled and thrown ‘on the floor’ in his fight against Ben Askren. The YouTuber will throw down with the former UFC star in a boxing match at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta on Saturday week.

Despite only having two professional fights to his name, Paul goes into his bout with the former ONE Championship and Bellator welterweight champion as the bookies’ favourite.
But Zhabi, the long-time coach of MMA great Georges St-Pierre, reckons the 24-year-old will be in for a rude awakening.
During a lengthy breakdown of the fight, the Tristar Gym coach said: “I think Ben Askren wins.
“Here’s why, I saw Jake Paul’s last fight, he’d knocked out some guy with a couple overhand rights, stunned him a few times, dropped him.
“But here’s where Jake Paul — I don’t think he knows what he’s getting into.
“Number one, Ben Askren is a wrestler, yes and his forte is not striking, we all know that. He’s not the greatest striker.

“But he’s been in there with killers. He’s been in there with like legitimately dangerous human beings.
“Robbie Lawler, Douglas Lima — I can go on and on, the list is super long. He’s been in there with real killers, and I know he didn’t use boxing, but he took shots from these guys… it was some serious shots. Ben Askren never wavered.
“The computer was still working, he didn’t panic. He’s a true competitor.
“He’s been training in MMA, he’s been learning how to strike.
“Let’s call it fifteen years, he’s been striking — let’s call it ten years, let’s be very reserved here.
“It’s not only boxing offense that’s the issue.
Jake Paul is cutting no corners with his diet
“I guarantee you that he takes a shot better than Jake, I can guarantee you that, I’m guaranteeing you that right now.
“So Jake’s going to go in there, and in the first two, three rounds he’s going to be dancing around and he’s going to jab Askren. He’s going to look alright, he’s going to look good.
“Askren’s going to hit him back and it’s going to be a give and take. But here’s what Jake doesn’t know, Askren has proven that he’s got an incredible chin.”
Zahabi reckons Olympic wrestler Askren, 36, will use his years of grappling experience to ‘maul’ Paul in the clinch.

He added: “Ben Askren is going to maul him in the clinch, dirty box him. He’s going to get warned by the referee, but it doesn’t matter.
“Barring the exception that Askren’s chin is finished (after that Masvidal KO), Askren is going to maul him.
“It’s not going to be pretty. It’s going to be a dirty fight.
“It’s going to be a seesaw battle a little bit early on, then all of a sudden Jake is going to fatigue and Ben Askren will be all over him.
“He’ll throw him on the floor, ragdoll him.
Jake Paul and Ben Askren will trade blows a week on SaturdayCredit: TRILLER

“Maybe even picks up and slams Jake Paul once or twice. It would not surprise me.
“Ben Askren probably doesn’t have a clause where if he gets disqualified, he doesn’t get paid. In my opinion, Ben Askren doesn’t care if he gets disqualified.
“He’s going to pull on his head, step on his feet — shove him so he’s off balance, and it’s going to be a mauling.
“How is he going to pick and poke, stick and move and stay away from Askren?
“Once they lock up, once they lock up, I guarantee you, Jake’s battery is going to start to drain.”

They have divided opinions since bursting onto the scene in polarising fashion, under the nose of Judah.
The two-division world champion has been part of Logan’s training to face Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition this year, and watched Jake in sparring before.
And Judah, 43, has vouched for the internet celebrities – warning they have real fight in them.
He told SiriusXM: “Jake and Logan, I’m gonna stand up for them. I’m gonna put it out there big, they can fight.
“They’ve both got two different styles, but they both can fight. They both are good at what they do.
“Jake is a bring-it-to-you, in your face fighter, my son going to knock your ass out.
“Logan… I ain’t going to front y’all, I ain’t gonna front, I’m gonna say it right here – he’s looking like a young Muhammad Ali.”

Logan boxed to a draw with KSI – while the Brit’s brother ‘Deji’ was beaten by Jake.
KSI, 27, and Logan, 26, would turn pro a year later for the rematch.
And Logan lost by split-decision, after a two point deduction cost him the result.
Jake, 24, on the other hand, turned pro in 2020, stopping online rival and friend of KSI’s ‘AnEsonGib’ in the opening round.
He improved to two knockouts in as many fights last November, leaving ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 36, out cold and turned into a viral meme.
Jake now faces retired ex-UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 36, in his biggest step up, on April 17 in Atlanta.
Meanwhile Logan is set to fight boxing legend Mayweather, 44, in a pay-per-view spectacle.
It was set for February 20, but has since been postponed to allow fans to attend, with a new date yet to be announced.

Anthony Joshua cleared to face Francis Ngannou but Eddie Hearn prefers two-fight UFC and boxing deal with Dillian Whyte

ANTHONY JOSHUA has been given the green light to fight Francis Ngannou – but Dillian Whyte is first in line for the UFC champion. Ngannou first set his sights on a boxing career aged 22 but, after moving to France, he instead embarked on an MMA career as it was easier to find fights.

Fast-forward 12 years and Ngannou is the UFC heavyweight king after knocking out Stipe Miocic.
But he has not given up hope of reaching the boxing summit, and recently called to fight Tyson Fury, 32 and Joshua, 31.
AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn is on board and threw out the possibility of UFC legends Amanda Nunes or Cris Cyborg challenging Irish boxing champion Katie Taylor.
Hearn told SiriusXM: “AJ wants to be the best, but he also wants to do different things once he meets his goals.
“So a fight with Francis Ngannou isn’t impossible. Just like Katie Taylor vs Cyborg or Nunes, potentially.”
Hearn last year had plans for Whyte, a former European kickboxing champion, to face Ngannou in a two-fight deal.
It would have seen one bout in the ring and the other in the cage, as both have experience in the rivalling sports.
Hearn even filmed an explosive online press conference between the pair, but it never aired as the UFC were not aware of the recording.

The promoter has still not given up on the idea of the historic cross promotion alongside the UFC between Ngannou, 34, and Whyte, 32.
Hearn said: “I love Francis NGannou. We almost had a presser with Dillian Whyte and him, but the UFC shut that down after we taped it.
“We do have the footage, though. I would love to see a double matchup with Ngannou and Dillian Whyte.
