Watch sickening moment Majidov SNAPS ankle as he is floored by Fedosov on Williams vs Andrade undercard

ANDREY FEDOSOV floored Magomedrasul Majidov to pull off a brutal knockout upset that exploded the favourite’s ankle.Having not fought for two-and-a-half years, the Russian was expected to be comfortably brushed aside on the undercard of Liam Williams versus Demetrius Andrade.

And yet, in only the first round, 34-year-old Majidov hit the deck after his opponent connected with a cool right-hander.
Fedosov’s blow had buckled his ankle, making it incredibly difficult for him to stand as the referee allowed the fight to continue.
The highly-rated Azerbaijani clambered back to his feet but was on the canvas again within seconds after another barrage.
Majidov, who downed Anthony Joshua at the 2011 Worlds, held his ankle and made clear his night was done.
Medics rushed on to attend to the stricken fighter, whose swollen ankle had ballooned drastically by the time he was carried out of the ring.
Trainer John David Jackson confirmed post-fight that the joint was broken.
It was Majidov’s first pro defeat in his fourth fight having KO’d Tom Little on the undercard of Joshua’s win over Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019.
Fedosov, 35, has now won his last eight fights, a run stretching over seven years thanks to his period of inactivity.

Fans were left crediting both fighters, including Majidov for fighting on after first crumbling.
Twitter user Callum wrote: “What a warrior. Heavy punch that hit him in first place but still wants to fights on with snapped ankle. Speedy recovery Maj.”
Bernie added: “Even gets up after breaking his ankle!”

Ty Michell was jailed after he killed student Jagdip Randhawa with a single punch
Mitchell, 30, was jailed for seven years for manslaughter after he killed uni student Jagdip Randhawa, 19, with a single punch in October 2011.
He was freed in 2016 and is on licence until December.
But last week he posted footage of him and Fury sparring in Morecambe, Lancs, with the caption: “We love a tear up.”
His boxing coach dad, Clifton Mitchell, has previously said his son’s fatal punch was a “freak accident” – adding: “He is not a hooligan, he was just a kid when it happened…boxing is his only trade.
    “My son will fight again.”

The Randhawa family previously slammed Mitchell’s return to the ring

Deontay Wilder vows to show his ‘greatness’ in his long-awaited return from brutal Tyson Fury TKO loss

DEONTAY WILDER has vowed to show his ‘greatness’ when he finally returns to the ring.Wilder’s five-year reign as WBC king came to an end last February courtesy of a seventh-round TKO loss to Tyson Fury, a defeat that scuppered his own hopes of a unification bout with Anthony Joshua.

The Olympian hasn’t set foot inside the ring since that fateful night at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.
But the Bronze Bomber insists his passion for the sweet science hasn’t disappeared – despite his lengthy hiatus.
During an appearance on the We Might Need Counselling Podcast, Wilder said: “We in it for a reason.
“I love it. I’m in love with it. But trust is hard to come by because it’s money.
“Desperate times call for desperate measures. “It’s a sport that I love, and I’m going to continue to do it and show my greatness in it.
“I got a lot of things that I want to do in this sport. But politics play a big part in certain things happening. Management, promotion companies.

“Certain guys don’t want their fighters to fight certain guys because they plan for their guys. “It’s a lot that goes on.”
Despite being adamant he still loves boxing, Wilder, 35, believes the sport is currently ‘a money-driven business’.
He added: “It has a lot to do with the politics of boxing. Period. Boxing is a dirty business, man.
“Some people would say it’s a business, but it’s a good business when you are making money.
“I guess everyone is happy when they are making money.

“It’s a money-driven business. I’m not going to bash my sport, although I speak facts of it. It’s a monster of a sport.”
Wilder vowed to return to the ring in 2021 late last year but has yet to land an opponent for his comeback fight.
A bout with fellow former champ Andy Ruiz Jr was mooted, although Mexico’s first heavyweight king has since been matched up with Chris Arreola.
Brit Dillian Whyte recently called out the Olympic bronze medallist, writing on Instagram: “I want to punish Deontay Wilder.
“The coward is full of fear. Come see me fraud clown.”

Joe Fournier: Millionaire nightclub owner who dated Paris Hilton set to fight Reykon on Jake Paul v Ben Askren undercard

And on Saturday night he will fight reggae musician Reykon on the undercard of YouTuber Jake Paul’s scrap against ex-UFC brawler Ben Askren.
Fournier was once ranked 11th in the WBA rankings in the light heavyweight division after turning pro in 2015 – at the time he was the best British fighter on the list.
Not bad for a lad from Hammersmith, who runs superclubs around the world, including the prestigious and very private Bonbonniere in London’s exclusive Mayfair area.
But he has spent more than four years out of the squared circle – until now.
Speaking to Sky Sports the British entrepreneur said: “I was slipping back into bad habits.
“Predominantly my businesses are bars, clubs and restaurants in all the fun places. It’s easy for my mates to visit me in Mykonos – one beer becomes two, becomes three.
“That leads to negative behaviour. I can get depressed and not myself.
“Boxing is good for my mental health. Tyson Fury is a big advocate of this. It keeps me from drinking too much, keeps me healthy and gives me a goal.”

Joe was born into a wealthy family, attending the prestigious Lycee Français Charles De Gaulle de Londres in Kensington.
He then studied at the American Community School.
However, when his parents divorced he moved to Hounslow and had to slum it.
He changed schools, going to Ashton House primary and then Isleworth & Syon School.
It was at the latter he met his pal Mo Farah and they’ve stayed close ever since.
Fournier once said he “went from having a chauffeur driven car to school every day, to taking the bus.”
As good as he is in the ring, boasting eight knockouts from his eight professional fights, Joe could’ve been a professional basketball player.

He was so good on the court, and a natural leader, that he was chosen to captain the England basketball team 43 times.
However, a serious scaphoid injury curtailed his progress and his basketball days were soon over.
Being naturally fit, Joe decided to enter the world of personal training and set up his own gym.
He claimed he “acted as a trainer, PR and cleaner all-in-one” during this time as he grew his business.
Joe managed to bag some exclusive clients, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna.
He even trained stuntmen from the James Bond franchise as his star in the fitness world began to grow.

Joe wrote a book in 2008 called Red Carpet Workout, which he got an advance of £30k for and still receives royalties to this day.
In 2012, he then sold his business for an undisclosed sum to a FTSE 100 company.
At 29-years-old Joe decided he wanted to invest his money into nightclubs.
He took over Whisky Mist and changed their fortunes, helping them make a profit for the first time in years.
The Rose Club, Bonbonniere London and Streaky Gin soon followed, with the recent addition of Bonbonniere Mykonos adding to his business empire.

Joe has entertained the likes of Snoop Dog, Paris Hilton, 50 Cent, Jamie Foxx and Nicole Scherzinger in his private bars.
“It’s really difficult to get people to do lunges and eat salad, but it was easy getting people pissed, drink gin and tonic, party, and eat pizza,” Joe explained.
Joe’s clubs earn him around “20-30 million a year” and he’s said to be worth over £100m.
He regularly hires his own private jet and helicopter wherever he travels.

Knowing people in high places, including former British heavyweight David Haye, opens doors.
So, when the ex-world champ boxer allowed Joe to train in his now defunct Hayemaker gym in south London, it was the beginning of a new challenge in his life.
“My first bar was with former world champion Barry Jones, so I’ve been around boxing for years,” Joe said on his new venture.
“Having grown up in a tough neighbourhood in Hounslow, you know if you can punch or not and you know if you can take a punch.

“A lot of strength and conditioning coaches make you box and I was always better than the other guys.
“But when life is good and you have a girlfriend, you have a curry that turns into a pizza that turns into a bottle of wine.
“And about five years ago I broke up with my long-term girlfriend; I was fat, weighed 230lb and was a disgrace.
“The nightclubs do a white collar boxing event but none of the other owners would fight me and if I was to fight a staff member from another club, I’d have everything to lose.

“But a friend of mine wrote on Facebook that they’d had a fight and I got in touch.”
Joe made his debut in late 2015 in the Dominican Republic, defeating Jorge Burgos by way of knockout.
“I just wanted to win a fight as a professional so I could tell my grandkids, but now I’m building something,” he said.
“My businesses have been phenomenal and I’m the sharpest I’ve ever been.
“I used to knock back the beers but I’ve stopped drinking and people send me emails saying they’ve lost 20lb since they started following me on Instagram.

“I sent guys I went to school with to do white collar boxing and it’s kept their marriage together.
“I’m never going to win a world title but if I could win a belt of some sort it would be a dream come true.”
Joe’s crowning glory, which has propelled him up the boxing stratosphere, was a WBA International title shot against Wilmer Mejia a week before last Christmas.
He was drafted in as a late-replacement opponent for the Dominican, who was the favourite to win.

After losing the first 2 rounds, he rocked Mejia with an uppercut in the 6th. Joe then finished the brawler in the 8th with a stunning body blow.
The playboy famed for owning superclubs celebrated the only way he knew how…
“We had a bottle of beer then it was back to the hotel as I had to catch a flight at 5am,” he said.
And now he will have the eyes of the world on him once again as he attempts to even upstage the talker Jake Paul. More

Why is Julia Rose in Joe Fournier’s corner on Jake Paul vs Ben Askren undercard?

JOE FOURNIER is fighting on Jake Paul’s undercard tonight, and he’ll have one of the YouTuber’s former flames in his corner cheering him on. Julia Rose will be in Atlanta, Georgia for the huge Triller Fight Club event, but she won’t be there in support of her ex-boyfriend Paul.

    Instead, she’s there for Fournier.

Why is Julie Rose in Joe Fournier’s corner?
Rose made her name as the World Series Flasher in 2019 before going on to date 3-0 fighter Paul for a year from February 2020.
But now the Instagram model will be in the corner of Brit Fournier, who faces Colombian reggaeton star Reykon on the card.
According to Page Six, Rose got into training with Fournier’s team and wanted to bring a ‘female element’ to the event.

“She’s been in the gym training with Joe and his team for the last few weeks and is really into it,” a source told Page Six.
“She’s passionate about bringing a female element to the Triller stage and showing women that they can be part of anything.”
Rose has mainly been working alongside Fournier’s main trainer Dino Spencer, but it’s not known what exactly she’ll be doing in the light-heavyweight’s corner.
Fournier and Paul have got into their fair share of verbal jabbing across the course of the week.
The pair could fight each other at some point this year, assuming Paul gets past Askren and Fournier beats Reykon. More

Anthony Joshua versus Tyson Fury ‘to take place in Saudi Arabia in August’ with just minor details to be agreed

ANTHONY JOSHUA’s blockbuster undisputed heavyweight title fight with Tyson Fury is reportedly on course to take place in Saudi Arabia in August. The long-awaited Battle of Britain moved a huge step closer to coming to fruition this week after the pair agreed on a venue for the first of their two showdowns.

And according to talkSPORT reporter Jim White, the first instalment of Joshua vs Fury is on the brink of being snapped up by the Saudis.
White tweeted: “Saudi offer ‘real and acceptable to all parties’. Minor details to be agreed.
“Looks like August, fight expected to generate 200m dollars.”
Saudi Arabia has been the frontrunner to land the blockbuster fight ever since the two-bout deal was announced last June.
ESPN’s Mark Kriegel said earlier this week: “What’s been agreed is that both Anthony Joshua’s camp and Tyson Fury’s camp want to fight in Saudi Arabia.
“Saudi Arabia was the frontrunner from the beginning, and that’s where everybody wants to go now.

“It’s not real until someone under the auspices of the Saudi government puts money into escrow.
“Both sides have yet to sign – this is a crucial document – a memorandum of understanding.
“I’ve had several sources tell me today that they’re, ‘waiting for the paperwork from Saudi.’
“There is obviously great optimism from Eddie Hearn and there’s great optimism from Bob Arum.”
Despite all signs pointing to a Saudi showdown, AJ is still clinging on to the faint hope of a Wembley war with The Gypsy King.

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross show, he said: “I’ve signed my side of the deal.
“We’ve sent him a good offer, one I’m sure he won’t refuse.
“He wants the fight, no doubt about it.
“So do I and more than me and him, the whole public want it.
“I put my crystal ball out there and I say it’s going to happen this year 100 per cent.
Anthony Joshua hasn’t given up hope of a Wembley war with Tyson FuryCredit: Reuters

“I’m pretty sure it’ll be this year. End of July, early August.
“Where? That’s what’s the delay, because of this pandemic. We want to have people coming to the venue.
“It’s just finding the right location. For me, Wembley would be ideal.”
Joshua, 31, hasn’t fought since his ninth-round stoppage of Kubrat Pulev last December.
Fury, meanwhile, has been on the sidelines even longer than AJ – last taking to the ring in February 2020 for his WBC title fight with Deontay Wilder.

Now his ex-sparring partner is preparing to fight YouTuber Paul, two years after he retired from the UFC himself.
Askren’s career as a renowned grappler and limited striker leaves him the betting underdog, despite his vast amount of fighting experience.
But CM Punk – real name Phil Brooks – agrees the ex-ONE Championship and Bellator champion is being overlooked.

“But he’s a decelerated athlete at a very, very high level in two different sports.
“Mindset and mentally is a big thing when you’re fighting and Ben has that in spades.
“Is Ben gonna come out there and look like Muhammad Ali? No, probably not. But Ben knows what it takes to win a fight.
