Askren was captured afterwards smiling as he made his way out of the arena with his wife Amy.

Cormier, 41, tweeted: “Wait a minute, did Askren get us all?
“Like this is some magician stuff he wasn’t laughing on his way to the back was he? Cmon Ben lol @Benaskren.”
Askren was guaranteed a £360,000 purse but bonuses after the pay-per-view sales means he can expect to clear £1million.
    PAUL THE OTHER ONE
It was another explosive night inside the ring for Jake Paul.

    DILL BREAKER
Dillon Danis called out Jake Paul and vowed to ‘put this c*** out cold’ after the YouTuber knocked out Ben Askren.
Paul moved to 3-0 in his professional boxing career after the first-round finish over Askren.
And already he was challenged by 2-0 Bellator welterweight Danis, a sparring partner and gym-mate of Conor McGregor.
He tweeted: “It’s on 100% send me the contract let’s do this i’m gonna put this c*** out cold.”
Paul, 24, initially offered Danis, 27, the opportunity to fight him earlier in the year.
But the jujitsu black belt was unable to accept amid a knee injury which needed surgery.
Seemingly fit and recovered, Danis shared a private Instagram message he sent to Paul, calling the social media star out.
He wrote: “let’s do this c*** send me the contract.”

UFC star Robert Whittaker has called out Jake Paul for a fight after the social media personality knocked out ex-MMA champ Ben Askren.
The Aussie star, 30, was also in action on Saturday night for the ESPN 22 headliner against Kelvin Gastelum.
In a press conference after his win in the octagon, the former UFC middleweight champion was told about Paul’s victory, which was captured by Sky Sports.
A shocked Whittaker replied: Ben Askren’s not known for his boxing, is he?
“But good on him (Paul). He’s doing his thing.”
Asked if he would consider fighting the vlogger for the half a million pounds Askren is believed to have received, Whittaker happily threw his hat in the ring.
“I’d fight him for less,” he replied with a laugh.
    LO BLOW
Logan Paul sent a message to Floyd Mayweather by sharing a video of his brother Jake’s brutal KO of Ben Askren.
YouTuber Jake stopped the retired UFC welterweight with a one-two combination in round one of their Triller pay-per-view headliner.
Ringside was big brother Logan, who was due to face Mayweather in an exhibition bout in February.
It has since been rescheduled to allow fans to attend but no official date or venue has been announced.
Logan, 26, attempted to strike fear into all-time great Mayweather, 44, as she shared a video of Jake’s highlight-reel KO.
He captioned the post: “@floydmayweather you see this.”

Ben Askren admitted ‘it’s f***ing embarrassing’ as he reflected on his first-round loss to YouTuber Jake Paul.
The former UFC welterweight was knocked out after two minutes following a one-two combination.

Paul moved to 3-0 in his professional boxing career, all by KO and celebrated with rapper Snoop Dogg, who also commentated.
He said: “Just a couple of years ago, my teachers were making fun of me in class, telling me I can’t do nothing, telling me I wasn’t smart.
“My schoolmates making fun of me. I used to landscape. I just had a dream and I chased it and I worked hard.
“To think that I’m standing here next to these legends, these legends right here, it’s unbelievable.”

Beforehand, UFC president White told Mike Tyson he would be willing to bet $1m the social media star lost.
Paul, 24, and rap royalty Snoop Dogg, 49, asked to up the wager to $2m – though their call was never asked.
But it still did not stop the West Coast star from calling out the UFC boss and campaigning for his proposed winnings.

He landed a textbook one-two, which Askren didn’t see coming, and laid out the American.
    He improves to 3-0.

    JAKE PAUL KO WIN
Askren is clipped by a big right hand and felled.
The former UFC fighter beats the count but the referee said he is buzzed and waves it off.
Paul breaks down in theatrical tears on the floor.
Askren complains the stoppage was early.
    ROUND ONE: PAUL WINS KO!
Askren’s stance and form looks terrible and he is yet to throw a punch.
Paul whips a right hook into Askren’s chunky body.

Askren beat the count but was shaken and waved off.
    ROUND ONE
Eight rounds at cruiserweight begins with referee Brain Studs in charge.
Askren has Tyron Woodley in his corner, Paul appears to have a troupe of giant yellow Minions characters.
The Problem Child claims to want too fight Conor McGregor but he copies all his old moves.
    FINALLY…
Askren is in the ring and Jake Paul is making his walk.
Can a novice fighter beat a trained mixed martial artist?
Paul is accompanied by a dancer in a massive robot costume.
Please Ben, nail this and end the misery…

The Ukraine ace may never walk nor make love again…

    DIVE BAR
This… THIS is the crippling low blow to Ivan Redkach’s ‘groin’ that folded him into the floor, demanded a stretcher carry him out and caused the fight to be waved off..
    TTTTHHHHIIIISSS:
Prograis floors and stops Redkach. In crazy fashion, the fight goes to cards and Prograis gets the win anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️147 looks his next move and there are some real good match ups for him there.Who’s next for Regis?#Boxing pic.twitter.com/LpbpL7KbLP— Steve Boxman (@SteveBoxman) April 18, 2021

    PROGRAIS WINS DECISION
The referee sends the fight to the cards to be decided and the judges rule: 60-54, 59-54 and 59-54.
Almost ironic that the only genuine fight on the show ends in completely fake fashion.
Just when the taste in your mouth could not get worse.
    Rock, rock, rock bottom.
Oh no, wait, Justin Beiger is on now…
    ROUND SIX
Redkach has taken a dive after getting his ribs grazed by a bodyshot.
Just when you thought this show could not get any worse.
Prograis is waiting for a decision while Redkach continues to feign injury.
Redkach is getting carried out on a stretcher despite not getting punched anywhere.
He must assume everyone has already turned off and he won’t get spotted cheating.
    ROUND SIX: REDKACH DOWN
Prograis grazes with a body shot and Redkach collapses.
But the blue-haired ace grabs his groin and claims it was an illegal low blow.
The replays make it look like a fair body shot but the referee – who looks a real veteran – believes it was a groin shot.
Redkach has five minutes to recover but he is looking for a way out. He was not even hit.

    ROUND FIVE
Redkach is getting chinned too much by Prograis and will go over soon.
Beautiful defensive work from the American former champion too.
Prograis has earned 850,000 dollars for tonight’s shift and earned every penny of it buy selling his soul to this shoddy set-up.
Bro this Regis Prograis dude can really box. He must be getting a big bag for this fight. He was a champ two years ago.— B (@___FOSTER) April 18, 2021

    ROUND FOUR
Prograis rocks Redkach again and piles in with his booming left hand.
The blue-barneted underdog is bleeding froma couple of places around his eyes and hairline.
But the camera work is so bad you cannot really see.
Cannot miss the huge shots Prograis lands there as Redkach’s legs stiffen and he is whacked again but is saved by the bell.

Paul landed a simple one-two over the top and left the retired UFC fighter unable to continue in the eyes of the referee.
And a video shot ringside showed the brutality of Paul’s finish as Askren was left face-flat on the canvas.
Jake’s brother and fellow YouTuber also filmed the big moment with a veiled warning to Floyd Mayweather, who he is supposed to be fighting in an exhibition later this year.
Afterwards, he said: “I told y’all I was gonna do it in the first round. I told y’all I’m a real fighter.
“I don’t know how many times I’ve gotta prove myself that this is for real.”
Askren, 36, barely got into the fight before he hit the deck and saw the action waved off.
Paul, 24, moved to 3-0 in his boxing career since turning professional in January 2020 and dedicated the win to his bodyguard Shamir ‘Shadow’ Bolivar, who passed away earlier this month.
He said: “This is for Shadow, my security guard, who passed away ten days ago.

“He told me I would knock him out in the first round. He said he had a vision, a dream.
“This has been the hardest ten days of my life. I had to hold it together to keep it going. And I’m just honoured to be here.”
A defiant Paul then sent a message to all the detractors he has encountered throughout his life.
He continued: “Just a couple of years ago, my teachers were making fun of me in class, telling me I can’t do nothing, telling me I wasn’t smart.
“My schoolmates making fun of me. I used to landscape.

UFC legend Cormier fumes at Askren ‘laughing all the way to the back’ as fans call KO loss to Jake Paul ‘a fix’

DANIEL CORMIER said Ben Askren was ‘laughing all the way to the back’ after being knocked out by Jake Paul. The retired UFC welterweight was stopped in two minutes following a simple one-two combination.
Ben Askren, pictured with wife Amy, didn’t look too upset about his defeat
Askren, 36, barely got an attack off during the fight but did make it to his feet after being floored.
Still, it was not enough to convince the referee he was stable enough to continue, with the fight waved off afterwards.
Askren was captured afterwards smiling as he made his way out of the arena with his wife Amy.

Five fighters Jake Paul could take on next including Love Island star Tommy Fury and UFC legend Conor McGregor

JAKE PAUL improved to three knockouts in as many fights by dispatching of Ben Askren in one round. The YouTuber knocked out Askren in two minutes of their Triller pay-per-view headliner after a brutal one-two combination.
Jake Paul after beating Ben AskrenCredit: Getty
Paul added to his wins against online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ and retired NBA star Nate Robinson.
Much of the conversation online turned to who the social media sensation could face next.
Here, SunSport lists five potential opponents for Paul.
    Dillon Danis
Conor McGregor’s training partner and Paul have feuded for over a year and both called each other out.
Initially Danis, 27, was offered the fight ahead of Askren, 36, but the 2-0 Bellator welterweight was sidelined with a knee injury.
Seemingly fit and recovered after surgery, the jujitsu black belt challenged his rival online.
He tweeted: “it’s on 100% send me the contract let’s do this i’m gonna put this c*** out cold.”
Danis, like Askren, is renowned for his grappling skills, but is younger than the ex-UFC fighter and has a natural grudge to settle with Paul.
    Bellator welterweight Dillon Danis

    KSI
KSI twice boxed Paul’s brother Logan, drawing in a 2018 white collar bout before turning pro to win the rematch by split-decision.
Naturally, the Brit vlogger was then lined up to fight younger brother Jake, but KSI – real name Olajide William Olatunji – is yet to return to the ring.
KSI’s trainer Viddal Riley even admitted he would not let his friend fight Paul until he had two or three tune-up bouts in preparation.
The history between the two leaves the decider always on the table, but KSI would have to begin thinking about a comeback soon.

    Tommy Fury
Tyson Fury started the war of words between Paul and his half-brother, as he called for the pair to fight.
Despite a few verbals online, not much has come from the spat, but their celebrity following would make for pay-per-view success.
Love Island star Tommy, 21, is 5-0 in his career but has so far only faced journeyman, meaning Paul would be his hardest opponent.
But Paul has made it clear he is targeting MMA fighters instead, and Tommy does have a vast amount more experience in the amateurs.
Once both have built up their records a bit more, this could be one for their millions of adoring followers.

    Tyron Woodley
With Paul out to bring ex-UFC champions into the ring, Woodley is the perfect candidate.
He has just been released from the UFC, which permits him to make a move into boxing should he wish.
Woodley, 38, was in Askren’s corner for the devastating first-round KO and would be desperate to avenge the loss.
The American is also a far more capable striker with knockout power and would provide Paul with a genuine test of his skill.
Tyron Woodley has left the UFCCredit: Getty – Contributor
    Conor McGregor
After Paul’s second win, against Robinson, he went after McGregor and claimed to have a $50million offer waiting for him.
But the Irishman went on to lose to Dustin Poirier, with the pair set for an immediate rematch on July 10.
It means Paul’s chances of prizing the southpaw – who made his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather in 2017 – have taken a knock.
There is also far more for McGregor left to achieve in the octagon before he would think about fighting the digital phenomenon.
But, the former two-weight UFC champ is not one to turn down a mega payday, so will at least consider the lucrative proposal.

The YouTuber sized his opponent up with a straight jab, before delivering a crushing blow to the side of Askren’s head that knocked him down on the canvas.
Askren did get back to his feet, but the referee decided he wasn’t fit to continue.
“I told you I was going do it in the first round,” Paul told Triller.
“I told you I’m a real fighter. I don’t know how many times I’ve got to prove myself that this is for real.”
Meanwhile, in a UFC Fight Night main event Whittaker dominated Gastelum at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
The Reaper won by unanimous decision after all three judges scored the fight 50-45 in his favour after three rounds.

Whittaker then set his sights on a rematch with old foe Israel Adesanya, who he lost to in a second round knock out back in 2019.
“I think it’s about time we crossed paths once again,” he revealed.
“I’m going to work hard. I think I have some tricks he hasn’t seen yet and I’ll give him a good run.” More

Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul date: When will fight take place now and what TV channel and live stream will it be on?

FLOYD MAYWEATHER and Logan Paul have agreed to take part in one of the most bizarre boxing matches in history. The 50-0 Money Man has defeated Conor McGregor and Tenshin Nasukawa in his last two fights, but an exhibition against YouTube sensation Paul could be the strangest yet.

Here’s what we know about the fight so far.
When will Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul take place?
Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul was supposed to be held on Saturday, February 20, but the fight was postponed.
It was rumoured that the reason for the postponement was a lack of interest, however Logan Paul denied that that was the case.
Claiming the decision was down to “business complications”, he said: “The Mayweather fight is pushed [back] which I am completely OK with.
“The fight’s still happening [but] we want to have a packed arena somewhere and then the business side of things, we have to iron them out.
“He’s got a lot of people on his team, [his advisor] Al Haymon got involved, if you know boxing, you know what that means for getting an actual deal done and figuring out a venue.
“I need as much practice, training, sparring under my belt against this guy.
“With every day that goes past I get better and he gets older.”
If the reason for the postponement is to ensure the fight takes place in front of a full stadium, then a date of later this year is feasible.
US states such as Florida and Texas, where Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders will take place, are already allowing sports venues to host events at full capacity.

What TV channel and live stream will Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul be on?
In February, Logan Paul incorrectly claimed that Al Haymon had announced the fight would be on Showtime in the US.
However, the network did broadcast Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor stateside.
Both Mayweather vs McGregor and Logan Paul vs KSI were shown on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK, so that could well be the channel for any eventual fight between Mayweather and Paul.
However, no UK broadcaster has been announced for the potential fight yet. More

And shortly after he came on the desk, it became apparent he wasn’t completely sound of mind.

And his car crash appearance sparked some fans to call for his proposed July 3 comeback to be scrapped.
One tweeted: “Oscar De La Hoya is one of my all-time favorites.
“He needs to be drug tested immediately by any athletic commission that is about to sanction him so that his comeback fight can be stopped.

Another said: “Oscar De La Hoya needs to fight substance use before he gets back in the ring.”
One concerned fan predicted a bad return for The Golden Boy, saying: “Oscar De La Hoya gonna lose his comeback fight.
Another concerned viewer remarked: “De La Hoya better not drink this much before his comeback fight.”
When asked about his comeback, an out-of-sorts De La Hoya – who has openly talked about his substance abuse in the past – said: “You can expect a f***ing real fight. A real fight.

“I will fight until the end, I will bleed until the end. And I will go down to the end.”

Logan Paul sends message to Floyd Mayweather by sharing video of brother Jake’s brutal KO of Ben Askren

LOGAN PAUL sent a message to Floyd Mayweather by sharing a video of his brother Jake’s brutal KO of Ben Askren. YouTuber Jake stopped the retired UFC welterweight with a one-two combination in round one of their Triller pay-per-view headliner.

He was watched ringside by big brother Logan, who was due to face Mayweather in an exhibition bout in February.
Jake, 24, moved to 3-0 in his professional boxing career, all by KO and celebrated with rapper Snoop Dogg, who also commentated.

Paul, 24, dedicated his win to his bodyguard Shamir ‘Shadow’ Bolivar, who sadly passed away earlier this month.
He remarked: “This is for Shadow, my security guard, who passed away ten days ago.
“He told me I would knock him out in the first round. He said he had a vision, a dream.
“This has been the hardest ten days of my life. I had to hold it together to keep it going. And I’m just honoured to be here.”
