But after Askren was knocked out, the UFC president said the reported 1.5million pay-per-view buys were made up.
Paul – who was cageside a booed at UFC 261 – responded in a Twitter post and claimed he earns more than any MMA star bar Khabib Nurmagomedov or Conor McGregor.
He posted: “Dana, you claimed you would bet $1 million on me losing.
“Set up Askren to train with Freddie Roach. Gave him full access to the UFCPI and he still got his ass handed to him.
“In my third fight, I made more money in total pay than any fighter in UFC history. Maybe it’s time to pay your fighters their fair share?
“No wonder they all want to get into boxing. Dana, you say you make the fights the fans want to see, so hurry up and make [Jon] Jones vs [Francis] Ngannou.
“Pay them their fair share. $10 million purse for each guy plus pay-per-view. Why are UFC fighters so underpaid versus boxers?
“Why did I make more in my third fight than all but two (Khabib and Conor) UFC fighters have in history. I know why.”

“The whole thing is f***ing mind-boggling to me, but good for him. Grab that money while you can, kid.
“I don’t believe anything they say. That’s a f***ing circus. None of that is real. Do you think any of that s*** that’s going on over there is real?

Joseph Parker training in Tyson Fury’s hometown of Morecambe with Andy Lee for Dereck Chisora fight after quitting Vegas

JOSEPH PARKER swapped the Las Vegas lights for Tyson Fury’s coastal hometown of Morecambe after switching training camps. Parker faces Derek Chisora in a heavyweight headliner on Saturday night, but does so under a new trainer.

The former WBO champion dropped long-time coach Kevin Barry following his laboured win over Junior Fa in February.
And following the advice of close friend Fury, Parker hired Andy Lee, who was part of the Gypsy King’s camp for their win over Deontay Wilder last year.
Parker told the Daily Star: “I thought about Tyson and the changes he has made in trainers so I sent him a text and asked if I could ask him some questions.
“He gave me a call, he said he really rates Andy in the top three trainers he has worked with.
“With the names he has worked with, that is a great recommendation.
“The next thing I was on Zoom calls with Andy, three or four calls later we were starting to make this plan and six days later I was on a plane flying to Ireland, so things happened really quick.
“There was nothing wrong with the old camp, I just needed something different.”
Parker, 29, started his camp in Dublin and even stayed with Lee’s in-laws on his first ever visit to the Emerald Isle.

But he then spent a few weeks with Fury at the WBC champ’s new facility attached to Morecambe FC’s stadium.
Parker said: “Tyson trains very hard, I thought that my level was high – well it is high – but when I trained alongside Tyson I could see the difference.
“Andy said it was a great move just to be around the energy that he has, just to see how he works.
“I did some body sparring with Tyson, he did 15 rounds one day, he is a beast. There’s something about him, his energy, it lifts you.”
Fury, 32, is now out in Vegas himself as he prepares for a proposed undisputed title decider with Anthony Joshua, 31.
Oleksandr Usyk, 34, is currently Joshua’s WBO mandatory challenger but the Brit has been given an acceptation to instead fight in a unification.
Parker is hoping a win over Chisora, 37, puts him in line to face Usyk for the vacant title if the opportunity arises.

Tommy Fury tells ‘idiot’ Jake Paul to send him a contract as Tyson’s brother claims his MUM could ‘chin’ Ben Askren

Fury and Paul have trashed each other over social media in recent weeks as talk grows of an upcoming bout in the ring.
Paul extended his professional numbers to 3-0 with an easy KO win over former MMA star Askren earlier this month.
And he is now eager to fight Fury following their war of words.
Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, says his man is keen too, revealing: “We want to make the fight.
“It’s really easy – he takes 50 per cent, Tommy takes 50 per cent. Let’s get it done.”
And Fury himself has now laid down the gauntlet, urging Paul to stop hiding and sign the contract.
Fury told talkSPORT: “If he sent the contract over tonight, it’d be signed and delivered straight back to him.
“All I see for that fight is easy money against an idiot.

“I’d put my mother in with Ben Askren and my mother would chin him.”
Fury’s last fight came in February with a win against Scott Williams at the Copper Box Arena.
However, agreeing a contract with Paul could prove to be tricky.
The American YouTuber has apparently demanded that Fury’s older brother Tyson be included as part of the undercard.
That’s despite the British heavyweight ace preparing for a mega-money unifier against rival Anthony Joshua.
But Paul wants Tyson to box 19-1 puncher Michael Hunter, which is sure to complicate matters.

Frank Warren throws Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury’s £108m Saudi fight in doubt and says site offer yet to arrive

FRANK WARREN says a binding agreement for the unification clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury has still not come through. Both fighters have signed their contract for the £108million heavyweight showdown – but a venue and date are still to be confirmed.

Eddie Hearn, AJ’s promoter, last week claimed that both camps have agreed on a site deal, which he stated should be finalised in writing very soon.
Since then reports have emerged that the deal is from Saudi Arabia, the country that hosted Joshua’s rematch win over Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019, which would net both fighters at least £54m
However, Fury’s UK co-promoter Warren has poured cold water on that speculation by insisting nothing is confirmed at present.
He told talkSPORT: “Look, every day I’m being told – it’s like, ‘It’s in the post.’
“It’s not arrived and that’s where we are. I’ll believe it when I see it.
“We’re being told it’ll be here.
“I know Tyson’s had enough of hanging around. He wants to fight in June or July and that’s what will happen if this thing doesn’t get resolved very quickly.
“We all want the fight. We’re all working, moving heaven and Earth to get it over the line, but at the moment the offer hasn’t come through.

“Maybe the two guys have gotta look – if the offer doesn’t come through – to look at how we make this fight viable.
“Everyone’s expectation levels maybe have to reassess.”
When quizzed over the alleged mega-money Saudi deal, Warren said: “Until I see it, it’s not there.
“Until something’s signed, confirmed, whatever the number’s gonna be, it’s not there.
“We can talk all day long, it’s not there.
“It’s not gonna take place in June or July, that’s not happening and the only way we can only be realistic about this, saying it’s happening, is if we actually get a binding agreement.
“That’s what we want, a binding agreement.”

Watch topless Tyson Fury dance on table of Las Vegas hotel room as he takes break from Anthony Joshua fight camp

IF it wasn’t already obvious that Tyson Fury has great feet from his achievements in the ring, it’s certainly clear now.The heavyweight champ has uploaded a video to Instagram of him dancing with his top off in a Las Vegas hotel suite – and he looks in good condition ahead of his proposed fight with Anthony Joshua.

The 32-year-old was filmed dancing with his trainer SugarHill Stewart.
They are bopping along to 1980 hit You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC.
Fury eventually takes his top off to show rival Joshua how he’s keeping – and looks in decent shape.
The eagerly anticipated bout between the two heavyweight champions is expected to take place in July and will be one of the biggest fights in British boxing history.
Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed the bout will ‘100 per cent’ happen.
Stewart also takes his top off later in the video and Fury shows the viewers his best air guitar.

The trainer, who had been dancing at the other side of the pad for most of the video, joins the boxer on his platform and the two have what can only be described as an air guitar-off.
Although Fury can enjoy himself now, it will soon be no laughing matter as the proposed Joshua fight edges closer.

It isn’t yet clear as to where the fight will take place, with reports suggesting it will be held in Saudia Arabia – at the same venue where Joshua defeated Andy Ruiz.
Although both fighters are set to receive millions from the contest, only one will unify the division.
At least Fury has Strictly Come Dancing to fall back on if he loses his boxing crown. More

And that set off the normally calm and jovial Cormier, who the YouTuber targetted after his brutal KO victory over Ben Askren last weekend.

“I pointed at him, I said, ‘Don’t play with me.’ Because I’ll slap him in the face. I don’t play those games, Joe.”
A fired-up Cormier confronted the outspoken Disney star and wagged his finger in his face between fights.
Despite the heated confrontation and threatening to ‘slap’ Paul, Cormier has refused to entertain the prospect of fighting the 24-year-old.
During the latest episode of the DC & Helwani Show, he said: “This dude would never fight me.
“I would kill him. Why would I ever fight someone like that?”

“I’m the guy that won two world championships at the same time.
“I’m not gonna punch down to some kid that’s on YouTube that’s, like, ‘Fight me!’ Like, why?”

After branding Cormier a ‘fat boy’ on Twitter, Paul took further aim at DC during an appearance on his brother Logan’s podcast.
He said: “So many fake motherf*s in this generation.
“Daniel Cormier, (mimicking) ‘That’s my boy Ben, he’s gonna beat Jake, he pushed him in the face so he’s gonna win now, chirp, chirp, chirp.’
“I knock him out and he’s on Twitter, ‘Ben, are you serious, bro, you went down like that? Ben are you kidding me? Ben, I can’t believe you did that to the MMA community.’
