“There is not a lot of love between us but he fought his heart out and I felt he won the fight by at least two rounds.
“I think he got robbed and it is very unfair because he left it all on the line.
“He knocked Parker down in the first round, for a 10-8 round, and I think he won five or six more rounds after that. Boxing is f* up”.
Former WBO king Parker and his new trainer Andy Lee admitted they did not think they did enough to win the fight on foreign soil, though the Kiwi believes he is now back on track for another world title challenge.

Following his exhibition draw with Roy Jones Jr, 52, the heavyweight legend is looking for his next fight.
He is currently in talks for a rematch 19 years in the making with Lennox Lewis, 55, and claimed the fight was set for September.
But Bryan, 31, instead laid out a sensational proposal and called out Tyson, 54, to defend his secondary world title against the icon, who is 23-years his senior.
Via World Boxing News, he said: “Bring on Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. I’ll take their belts and become the undisputed heavyweight champion.
“I’ll even give Iron Mike Tyson the opportunity to come back and fight me for my title. I’m more than ready, so let’s get it on. We are ready to go.
“I’ll take on Mike Tyson for a tune-up, and then I’ll fight either Joshua or Fury the same night.”

Jake Paul and Logan Paul could ‘get killed’ if they continue boxing careers, warns pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez

CANELO ALVAREZ has warned Jake and Logan Paul they could end up being ‘killed’ in the ring if they continue their boxing careers. The Paul brothers have made waves in the boxing world over the last few years with fights against fellow YouTubers, although Jake has graduated to facing professional fighters.

Jake, the younger of the pair, brutally knocked out retired MMA fighter Ben Askren last month to stretch his undefeated record to 3-0.
Logan, meanwhile, is currently gearing up for a June exhibition bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The trend of social media stars throwing down with professionally-trained fighters has concerned many, including unified super-middleweight champion Canelo.
During an interview with Graham Bensinger, the Mexican said of the athletic commissions sanctioning the fights: “They give them boxer’s licences when they’re not a boxer.
“They could get them killed. This is not a soccer game, they could get them killed.”
Canelo, 30, is baffled by athletic commissions’ sanctioning of the bouts.

🥊 MAYWEATHER VS LOGAN PAUL: Where will the fight take place, what TV channel and live stream will it be on?

He continued: “Why do they give licences to people who have never in their life even thrown a punch?
“If there’s a death, the commission will be responsible. Why? Because they issued the licence for the fight.”
Canelo, like many others, believes the YouTubers are disrespecting the sport of boxing with their bouts.
Last December, he said: “Ya know, it’s all about the money.
“I don’t think we would agree that people that are basketball players, that are YouTubers get licenses. Ya know, I don’t criticise (the Paul brothers).

“This is a very risky sport, and if you go up there, it’s very risky.”
He added: “I truly believe that it’s a lack of respect. It’s all based on money. It’s all for money. I’m focused right now on other projects.
“I have other stuff going on, and I would invite him for a sparring session so that he truly knows what it’s all about.
“For true fighters, I do believe it is a lack of respect,”
Canelo is currently gearing up for a super-middleweight title unification bout with Billy Joe Saunders, who he’ll throw down with in Dallas next Sunday.

Lennox Lewis CONFIRMS talks with Mike Tyson over rematch 19 years in the making after Iron Mike teased September fight

LENNOX LEWIS has CONFIRMED he is in talks with Mike Tyson for a sensational rematch 19 years in the making. Tyson made a remarkable comeback last November as he boxed to a draw in an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr.
Lennox Lewis has confirmed he is in talks with Mike Tyson
Mike Tyson claimed he is fighting Lennox Lewis in September
It sparked the interest of his former opponents Evander Holyfield and Lewis, who both revealed they would be open to another fight with Iron Mike.
Tyson, 54, started negotiations for a trilogy bout with Holyfield, 58, before a deal collapsed.
The reformed Baddest Man on The Planet then claimed he would make his return in September against Lewis.
Lewis, 55, responded while commentating on Andy Ruiz Jr’s return fight on FOX Sports and admitted there is communication with Tyson’s camp.
He said: “Not yet, but soon — maybe. We’re talking.”
Tyson was knocked out by the British former undisputed champion in 2002, three years before he announced his retirement.
Lewis himself retired just one fight and 12 months after beating Iron Mike in eight rounds.
But this year he opened the door for a comeback, as he told TMZ in March: “If the public wanted it then we would probably talk.

“I don’t know. I don’t really have nothing pushing me in the ring right now. People would love to see that fight but I don’t know.”
Following Holyfield’s failed talks to fight Tyson, he will now instead face Iron Mike’s final ever opponent Kevin McBride on June 5.
Tyson is still hopeful of a trilogy bout with Holyfield as well as a rematch with Lewis and fight for the ages with Tyson Fury.
He said on his podcast: “I want Holyfield and Lewis this year.
“I also want Fury. If I do that, I’ll say, ‘I’m just gonna live life.”

“Absolutely everything. More than money, more than fame, more than anything. I want to win this so bad.
“If it means I say goodbye to my kids, and I never see them again, I can leave this earth happy knowing I have won.

Saunders is well aware of the size of the task on his hands but is unfazed by the daunting prospect that is Canelo,
He added: “I don’t give a s**t about Canelo Alvarez, not two s***s.
“For me in my own brain, I’ve planned this out in my own head and I’ve been dreaming this since I was a little boy fighting in the front room.
“I’ve visualised this day coming. People say I haven’t lived the life, I ain’t done it right but I’m here.
“Two-weight world champion, two-time world champion, 30 fights, 30 wins, won every single title on the way. I’m here for a reason, 100 per cent.”
Saunders is bullish about his underdog status ahead of next weekend’s clash at Cowboys Stadium, which he believes will become the venue for one of boxing’s greatest upsets.

He said: “This fight is for all the marbles. This one we go country for country, countrymen for countrymen.
“I know when I go to Texas I’ll have 70,000 Mexicans screaming. But the Gypsies are coming out in force.
“The English, the Irish, the Scots – you name it they will be there. I’ll be flying that Gypsy flag very high for every one of them.
“I’m not just doing this for me and my family, I’m doing it for them as well.
“Victory will mean one of the biggest upsets in boxing history, I believe. Certainly in the last 20 years.
“He’s beaten six Brits already. Unlucky number seven for him, lucky number seven for me. I believe this is meant to be.”

Parker later prevailed on a split-decision verdict but it did not stop Chisora from gifting the New Zealander a burger.
The classy gesture was filmed while the two also posed for pictures.
He similarly enjoyed a bite to eat with Oleksandr Usyk, 34, in October after his defeat.
The Brit got off to the perfect start against Parker, 29, in Manchester as he dropped the ex-WBO champion inside ten seconds.
But after a fast start, Chisora was unable to do enough in the eyes of two judges as he was edged out on the cards.
He immediately called for a rematch while shutting down talks of retirement.
Chisora told Sky Sports: “I was putting in more power punches, inside work, but I can’t get upset anymore.
“I won’t let them slow me down. No way. I will not let them slow me down. I will go again.

“They want to see me retire, but I’m not retiring yet, forget that.
“This is horrible. I train hard every day, I give everything in the gym, and when I put it all in there, these are the results I get.
“But Joe said he wants to give me a rematch. If he wants to give me a rematch, I’ll take the rematch easy, but this is unbelievable.
“I won the fight, even his coach Andy Lee said I won the fight.”
