Watch Canelo Alvarez get confronted by Andrade during post-fight press conference as heated X-rated row breaks out

SAUL ‘CANELO’ ALVAREZ was confronted by middleweight rival Demetrius Andrade in an X-rated altercation following the Mexican’s win over Billy Joe Saunders. The 30-year-old defeated Saunders in Texas on Saturday night after the Brit’s corner decided not to let him go out for the ninth round due to an eye injury which turned out to be a fractured eye socket.

But it was in the post-fight press conference that Canelo found himself in another confrontational situation as American Andrade stormed the media room.
And while Canelo is almost always a calm individual when being subjected to trash talk, he did not hold back this time around.
Andrade interrupted the presser by saying: “So when can we get something going on? Let’s make it happen. What’s up Canelo? Congratulations today though, good job baby, good job.
“I’m a big fan… but what’s up though? When can we make it happen? What you think?”

Canelo responded: “I know [you’re a fan]. Man, you fight with nobody. You are a champion but you fight with nobody. You won the belt with nobody.”
Andrade then questioned Canelo’s recent resume, before the American’s dad accused the Mexican of ‘avoiding’ his son.
This appeared to rile Alvarez who aggressively shouted: “Get the f**k out of here man. Please, get the f**k out of here. It’s my night.”
Andrade’s father then yelled: “Don’t you say to him to get out here. F**k you. Go ahead, come. Come. F**k you.

And Andrade said: “Don’t swear at me. Don’t talk to my dad like that. I’ll f**k you up. I just asked you a simple question. What you gonna do? You tough? Watch your mouth bro. I congratulated you bro, watch your mouth.”
To which Alvarez said: “Hey, get the f**k out of here because I’m gonna f**k you up right now motherf****r. Hey, get the f**k out of here.
“Hey, you are a horrible fighter man. You never won against a good fighter. You are a horrible fighter. Horrible fighter. Just pay day, pay day, you want pay day, I know that.”
Andrade was then escorted from the room, but not before he could get the final word by saying: “Come beat me little b***h. When I see you, it’s on.”
‘Boo Boo’ Andrade is the current WBO middleweight champion having held the belt since 2018.
The 33-year-old is 30-0 as a professional, the exact same record Saunders boasted before he was stopped by Canelo.
But Andrade has struggled to secure a fight against a top name since acquiring the WBO strap more than two years ago.
And he could be made to wait even longer for a shot at Canelo after the Mexican stated he wants to face IBF super-middleweight champion Caleb Plant next in a bid to become undisputed champion at 168 pounds.

Billy Joe Saunders pre-fight comments come back to haunt him after claiming he’d rather DIE than quit against Canelo

BILLY JOE SAUNDERS will struggle for sympathy over his Canelo surrender after slaughtering Daniel Dubois. The 23-year-old took a knee after taking six rounds of punishment to his broken orbital bone from heavyweight juggernaut Joe Joyce, in November.

DDD was ahead on the cards so his team were reluctant to pull him out of the contest.
But, when another ruthless jab landed from the Team GB silver winner, Dubois took a knee and was counted out.
The Londoner was found to have a cracked eye socket, the same fracture Saunders is reported to have suffered in round eight of his Texas shootout.
But, unlike Dubois, 31-year-old Saunders called time on the fight in the first break after suffering the injury – from a Canelo uppercut  – and has been hammered on social media for his hypocrisy.
On December 2, Saunders told DAZN: “ “Fighters get in that ring and we know what’s on the line.
“Every fighter needs to understand and the fans need to understand that. In the past, we’ve seen a lot of tragedies in boxing, deaths in the ring.
“Before I go on one knee I’d like to go out on my back with my pulse stopped.
“Everyone has their own thought process in the ring and what went on in the ring I don’t know. He obviously felt he could not continue.

“You look at the greats, the eyes, the face, we get through that. That’s the path in life we choose for a living. We punch people in the face and get punched in the face.
“If my two eye sockets were broken, my jaw was broken, my teeth were out, my nose was smashed, my brain was beaten, I was not stopping until I was knocked out or worse.
“I don’t agree with a man taking the knee and letting the ref count him out.”
Saunders had claimed before the bout that he would happily die in the ring if it meant he was able to topple the pound-for-pound Mexican superstar.
But he slipped through the ropes and was taken to hospital shortly after the bell ended the eighth round.
Saunders told Canelo on Wednesday that he had never faced a man with a heart like the Hatfields Traveller.
But Saunders was unable to rise from his stool for round nine and go out on his shield like he had needlessly promised, and his Twitter trolls were not going to let him forget it:

Saunders basically quit then, wasn’t long ago he was having a go Dubois for quitting 🤷🏼‍♂️— jamie brown (@jamiebr1874) May 9, 2021

Pretty hilarious seeing the excuses rolling in for Billy Joe Saunders. Another Brit fighter (Dubois) was not being afforded the same sympathy in what were probably more dire circumstances. Don’t change the tune now. Call it what it was – a quit. #CaneloSaunders— Dylan (@dylan_spit_fire) May 9, 2021

Billy Joe Saunders started fight week with a threat to quit the fight, then fulfilled that promise on his stool in the ring. #CaneloSaunders— Derek Cooper (@cooperderek) May 9, 2021

A video on social media showed the tattoo depicting Saunders victorious in their super-middleweight unification bout.
BJS stands pumping his biceps and holding up the decapitated head of a slain Canelo as blood pours to the floor.
At the bottom, the text reads ’31-0′ – the pro record the Brit would have moved on to with victory in Texas last night.
In the video, the camera reveals the drawing the tattoo was based on while God Save The Queen boomed loudly in the background.
The fan, holding an England flag and wearing a sombrero, said: “Come on Billy! Up the gypsies, come on.
“Pull his head off the f***ing dosser.”
However, things did not turn out as hoped for Saunders and his fans.
He put on an impressive display against Canelo and was more than holding his own in the title bout.

But the Mexican stunned his rival with a trademark uppercut from his rival which broke his eye socket forcing him to throw the towel in after the eighth round.
Saunders was rushed to hospital as Canelo – ahead on all three scorecards at the time of the stoppage – celebrated his victory.
Chris Eubank Jr mocked Saunders after he pulled out and shared a video laughing at the ‘wet bag’.
The 31-year-old had bet £10,000 on Canelo to win the fight inside the 12 rounds and promised to give his returns to charity.
And now Eubank is clearly eyeing a big step up by calling out the WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring super-middleweight king.

Chris Eubank Jr lands £10k betting on Canelo Alvarez as he laughs at ‘wet bag’ Saunders before calling out P4P star

CHRIS EUBANK JR landed a huge cash windfall after betting on Canelo Alvarez to stop Billy Joe Saunders – then called out the unified champ. The British middleweight star stuck £10,000 on the Mexican to win the fight before it went the full 12 rounds.

And with odds of evens, he doubled his money when Saunders quit from his stool after the eighth.
In a video of him watching the moment BJS quit, Eubank Jr was in hysterics and called his fellow Brit a “wet bag”.
Now a charity of his choice is on course for a bumper donation with Eubank promising to give the winnings away to a good cause.
The 31-year-old Sussex man had already tweeted a picture of the betting slip with William Hill.
And after Canelo ripped the WBO super-middleweight belt from Saunders, Eubank was quick to jump back on to social media.
He tweeted a series of laughing and money emojis.
And then wrote: “Canelo if you want a Brit to give you a real fight… I’m ready & waiting.”
Eubank lost to BJS in a split decision way back in 2014 – his first pro defeat.
And there is clearly no love lost nearly seven years on.

In a video shared on his Instagram story, Eubank was filmed laughing at Saunders as he suffered in his corner.
Wearing a cap, t-shirt and jeans, the 30-2 fighter labelled ‘Superb’ a ‘wet bag’.
He then told the camera: “Give me the ten grand, baby, give me the ten grand.”
Before the Canelo-Saunders fight, Eubank tweeted a picture of him smirking and captioned it: “When someone says Saunders has a chance against Canelo….” followed by a laughing face.
And he was proved right when Canelo brutally dispatched Saunders in Texas.
The Brit was looking impressive before he was crunched with a trademark uppercut from his rival which broke his eye socket forcing him to throw the towel in.
Saunders was rushed to hospital as Canelo – ahead on all three scorecards at the time of the stoppage – celebrated his victory.
Eubank returned to the ring earlier in May after 17 months with a unanimous-decision win over Marcus Morrison in Manchester.
And now he is clearly eyeing a big step up by challenging the WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring super-middleweight king.

He came out on top after the Brit was forced to quit on his stool and rushed to hospital after round eight with an eye injury.
According to Sportekz, Canelo earned a guaranteed £10.7million ($15m) but the sum could rise following the streaming success on DAZN.
Saunders meanwhile, will take home at least £1.7m ($2.5m) for his trip to Texas.
The pair can expect to really see the money flow once bonuses are totted up, with Canelo set to make as much as £25m with BJS £3.5m.
Alvarez is boxing’s top attraction and the highest-paid fighter in the world.
Before moving to sports streaming service DAZN, the four-division king was a pay-per-view headliner.
His nine box office fights, including against Floyd Mayweather, Amir Khan and Gennady Golovkin, saw him pocket around £80m.
Then, in 2018 he signed an 11-fight deal with DAZN, worth a record-breaking £277m.
He had three fights while under contract, beating Rocky Fielding, Daniel Jacobs and Sergey Kovalev.

That was before he decided to terminate the deal, but continued to fight on DAZN as a free agent, where he beat Callum Smith and Avni Yildirim.
Further reports say it banked him £25m taking his total to £85m earned while with DAZN.
