And Diaz – the elder brother of fellow fan favourite Nate – clearly enjoyed his time with Fury, sharing photos of their training session on his social media pages.
He tweeted: “Last of a dying breed.. real fighting men only a few can relate. My bro @Tyson_Fury.”
Diaz, 37, looked to be in tremendous shape ahead of a potential return to the octagon – which he hasn’t set foot in since January 2015.
And the Stockton slugger’s current condition prompted Fury to demand UFC president Dana White book him a fight.
A fired-up Fury said: “I’m here with my boy Nick, the bad man Diaz. What you saying, Nick?
“We’re working hard, we’re coming for all you motherf*****s out there. You’re getting smashed to f**k. You better believe it.

“Absolutely smashing it, he’s in tremendous shape, he’s ready.
“Make the fight Dana, make the fight.”
Mixed martial arts fans across the world are excited by the prospect of the elder Diaz brother returning to the cage.
UFC supremo White, however, isn’t so sure about the former Strikeforce welterweight champion’s desire to compete.
He told ESPN: “My whole thing with Nick Diaz is I just question how bad he really wants to fight.

“We got together, we had a great conversation, talked about a possible comeback for him, I just don’t know.
“We’ll see how it plays out this summer and the rest of this year.
“It’s just the amount of time that he’s taken off already.
“When you hear him talk about fighting, when you hear him talk about the sport – and I sit down daily, or talk to daily, hungry, young savages that want to break into the top ten, become world champions, all that stuff.
“Nick Diaz has done it all, seen it all. He’s been in big fights. I just don’t see that in him when I talk to him.”

It was later revealed Saunders suffered a fractured eye socket and cheekbone, which required surgery.
Head coach Tibbs made the correct call to pull his man out and stresses the most important thing now is to allow the former champion to recover surrounded by his loved ones.
He told talkSPORT: “It’s going to be a very, very tough time emotionally for Billy Joe.
“He comes from the community he comes from and they are a very proud people and it is just going to be very tough.
“Listen, how he has to got to look at it is he went against a pound-for-pound great in Canelo Alvarez and he put up a good fight against him.
“He put up a good fight until he got his eye damaged with one punch, so that turned the fight around.
“It’s going to be tough for Billy Joe and he has a good family around him and good support with his friends.
“It’s like grieving; it’s something he has got to get through, he has got kids around him and that will help him get through and you have got to get on with things.”

Saunders, 31, had began to start boxing with a rhythm in the middle stages of the super-middleweight unification.
But a devastating right uppercut in the eighth caused immediate damage to his right eye.
His corner was left with no choice but to wave the action off, as Saunders congratulated Canelo, 30, who inherited his WBO belt.
Tibbs said: “I have called him a couple of times. I got a text from him and I have called him a couple of times.
“But one of his friends has text me and filled me in on the situation, that he wants to be with his friends right now and his family.

“He is dejected and after what went on in the corner there, he was dejected and he was sitting there and I always step aside and let the doctor do his work.
“He was sitting there with the doctor and I said to him, ‘Have you finished with him yet?’ That’s when I spoke to Billy.
“I said to Billy, ‘Get up and take that towel off your head and go and shake Canelo’s hand.’
“And he did that, just as I finished my line, he was gone. I told him while he was there to shake his trainer’s hand as well and he did that.”

Joshua Buatsi KOs Daniel Blenda Dos Santos as rising star scores explosive win to extend unbeaten run

JOSHUA BUATSI reminded the British light-heavyweight division of his terrifying power with a violent KO win over Daniel Dos Santos. The Anthony Joshua-managed ace has enjoyed just two fights in the last two years, allowing domestic rivals like Anthony Yarde, Lyndon Arthur and Spider Richards to creep ahead of him in some rankings.
Buatsi maintained his undefeated record to go 14-0
The Brit stopped opponent Dos Santos in the fourth round of Saturday’s bout
And he took his training camp for Saturday night’s Manchester main event to San Francisco to work with revered American trainer Virgil Hunter.
But the softly-spoken 28-year-old sent a loud and clear message to his domestic rivals and the 12st 6lbs world champions with a savage fourth-round KO of an undefeated challenger.
Buatsi’s jab was pinpoint and vicious, spearing at the Frenchman’s face and body.
Dos Santos arrived in Manchester, for his first fight outside of France, with a 15-0 record and looked nervous against the 2016 Olympic bronze medal winner.
Croydon boy Buatsi, now 14-0, clipped the visitor with a left hand in the second and floored him moments later.
Another left hook landed flush on Dos Santos’ temple and a right hand folded him into the canvas.
The overmatched visitor beat the count but then panicked under every Buatsi attack and scampered around the edge of the ring to avoid the fight.

Buatsi was in control of the fight and recorded his 12th win via knockout
Buatsi kept stalking his prey around the ring until Dos Santos snapped and dump tackled him onto his back in the third.
The Ghana-born 28-year-old was fuming with the wrestling move and things threatened to boil over into a brawl until the Team GB ace nicknamed ‘Just Business’ regained his cool.
Buatsi refused to forgive or forget the foul and started the fourth with a violent left hook that had Dos Santos stumbling across the ring like Bambi on ice.
And Dos Santos was knocked spark out when Buatsi faked and feinted a couple of jabs before a booming right hand collapsed him into the ropes for a worrying fall he thankfully recovered from quickly.
Earlier in the night Jason Cunningham put on the performance of his career to snatch the European super-bantamweight title from Gamal Yafai.
The Doncaster lad with ‘The underdog who never gave up’ tattooed across his chest dropped the champion three times before getting a deserved decision win.
The longshot southpaw outboxed Yafai in every department and stunned him with three big left hands that dropped him a hat-trick of times.
And Cunningham dedicated the blistering life-changing win to his daughter, saying: “I am tired. I have serious blisters on my feet.

JOSHUA BUATSI has secured a crushing victory over Daniel Dos Santos in Manchester. The Brit managed a knockdown in just the second round before finishing the fight with a thumping right hand in the fourth.
    Live results

Joshua Buatsi beat Daniel Dos Santos (WBA international light-heavyweight title)
Lerrone Richards beat Giovanni De Carolis (EBU European super-middleweight title)
Jason Cunningham beat Gamal Yafai (EBU European super-bantamweight title)
Tommy McCarthy beat Alexandru Jur (EBU European cruiserweight title)
Dalton Smith beat Lee Appleyard (BBBofC English super-lightweight title)
Solomon Dacres beat Mladen Manev (heavyweight)
Ellis Hopkins (debut) beat Borislava Goranova

    EDDIE HEARN CHIMES IN
Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn is certainly high on Joshua Buatsi, so much so he reckons he can beat WBA light-heavyweight king Dmitry Bivol.
He said: I believe he can beat Dmirty Bivol.
“But we need to find that middle ground between Daniel dos Santos and Dmirty Bivol.”
    BUATSI WANTS A QUICK TURNAROUND
“I spoke to Eddie [Hearn] this week and I think we mentioned June, July time.”
    BUATSI TALKS
“Most importantly, I want to thank God for the victory.”
“Secondly, I do hope he’s okay.”
“We’ll be back [soon], quick turnaround.”

    ONE FOR THE HIGHLIGHT REEL
Joshua Buatsi will be absolutely buzzing with his night’s work.
But Just Business’ new coach Virgil Hunter will also be thrilled with the Brit’s picture-perfect overhand right.

    ALL CLASS FROM BUATSI
Joshua Buatsi has yet to celebrate his stunning fourth-round stoppage of Daniel Dos Santos.
He’s waiting for the Frenchman to be fully recovered by celebrating his latest defence of the the WBA international light-heavyweight title.
IT’S OVER!! BUATSI WINS VIA KO
Joshua Buatsi has just slept Daniel Dos Santos with a vicious overhand right.
The shot well and truly folded the Frenchman, who is being tended to by the doctors.

    ROUND FOUR
An annoyed Buatsi comes out like a bat out of hell and cracks Dos Santos with two big left hooks.
The latter hook knocks Dos Santos off balance and sends the Frenchman stumbling across the ring.
Buatsi can close the show if he’s more methodical with his approach.
Just Business is continuing to put Dos Santos on the back foot and is doing good work to the body.

    ROUND THREE
Dos Santos seems to be reluctant to exchange in the pocket after tasing Buatsi’s power.
Buatsi lands a big right right but Dos Santos brushes it off.
Both men trade heavy leather in the corner but Buatsi gets the better of the exchange with a big left hook.
Buatsi is turning up the pressure. Dos Santos doesn’t like it and ends up rugby tackling Buatsi to the floor.
No penalty for the Frenchman, but he does get a stern talking to from ref Victor Laughlin.
    The bell goes.
    ROUND TWO
Buatsi comes out more aggressive in the second.
A beautiful counter left hook lands for the 28-year-old, who is slowly increasing the pressure.
Down goes Dos Santos, who was sent to the canvas courtesy of a big right hand.
The Frenchman beats the count and has cleared his head.
Buatsi, however, is refusing to allow give him any respite and continuing to walk him down.
The bell goes. Another round in the bank for Buatsi.
    ROUND ONE
Buatsi takes the centre of the ring early and is pumping out his jab with great accuracy.
The Brit looks sharp so far, something that can’t be said of Dos Santos.
France’s Dos Santos looks happy to be on the back foot and seems like he’s trying to land land a counter check left hook.
Dos Santos partially lands that hook, although Buatsi’s glove takes most of the sting out of the shot.
A wild exchange ensues which ends with Buatsi landing a good right hand.
The bell goes. Round one to the Brit, in my opinion.
    MAIN EVENT TIME
It’s almost time for Joshua Buatsi vs Daniel Dos Santos.
This battle of undefeated light-heavyweights should be an absolute corker.
As they say, somebody’s 0 has got to go.

STICK TO THE DAY JOB, MATE
Lerone Richards may’ve put on a masterclass against Giovanni De Carolis, but his singing leaves plenty to be desired.

    SNIPER SHOOTS FROM THE HIP
The newly crowned European champ says: “I can do this to anyone in the division so I was not surprised.
“I got it done nice and sexy so we are pleased.
“There is a lot more to come and now I am in the position to get the fights that will show what I can do.”
    RICHARDS WINS
The New Malden ace becomes the European super-middleweight champ with a unanimous win over a former world champion.
The jugdes at ringside in Manchester scored it: 120-108, 120-108 and 119-109.
Where should Sniper the Boss go next with his unbeaten record?
    ROUND TWELVE
De Carolis on course to lose every single round in European title fight.
Richards has made the Italian veteran look like a novice from the opening bell.
    Landslide cards on the way…
    ROUND ELEVEN
Richards warned over an accidentally low left hook.
De Carolis is peppered with a few rapid punches that bounce off the Italian.
Another round in the bank. Yawn
    ROUND TEN
Richards unloads but De Carolis covers up in the corner and weathers the storm.
Richards tries to spice things up with a couple of lead uppercuts.
But De Carolis survives another round, meaning we have to sit through another…
    ROUND NINE
Richards is running away with this so much it’s getting a little tedious.
The Italian needs to throw the sink at the Brit but insteads just keeps plodding forward getting tagged.
Richards drops his hands at the end of the session to celebrate another one in the bag en route to a shut-out points win.
    ROUND EIGHT
De Carolis’ face is starting to redden after eight rounds of jabbing and prodding.
De Carolis tries to throw a few digs but is punished again.
Richards is happy boxing right up close in the pocket but slips and slides away from so many punches.

    ROUND SEVEN
De Carolis has never looked hurt by any of Richards’ shots but he has no answer for his southpaw jab or reoccuring body shots.
Richards is right into his flow and making his rival really miss.
The bell goes as the Englishman bags another 10-9 session.
    ROUND SIX
Richards like a matador in there, making De Carolis miss and stabbing shots into him as punishment.
The South Londoner is whizzing digs into De Carolis’ ribs when he tucks up and protects his head.
The Brit is six rounds up and still in second gear.
    ROUND FIVE
Richards’ trainer Dave Coldwell reckons De Carolis is losing his temper and getting ragged in the Manchester arena ring.
Southpaw Richards lands a couple of rasping left hands.
De Carolis finally scores with a jab as Richards makes his only mistake so far by dropping his hands.
Richards whips a lead right hand into De Carolis’ ribs right on the bell as the Englishman banks another 10-9 round.
    ROUND FOUR
Richards running the bout with his right-hand jab.
De Carolis refusing to rough him up and make it difficult.
Great one-two down the pipe from Richards stuns De Carolis.
    Finally a bit of excitement.
    ROUND THREE
Richards paws out a few jabs and then fizzing in a couple of body shots.
De Carolis is being very negative, walking forward but throwing nothing.
Richards enjoying this like a sparring session as another predictable session ends.
    ROUND TWO
Richards is doubling up his southpaw jab in the bumble-bee coloured gloves.
De Carolis cannot work out how to land anything on his British rival.
Richards is slowly getting into his rhythm and picking up the pace in Manchester.

Josh Taylor buzzing for Manny Pacquiao clash after getting tattoo of beloved late dog PacMan

JOSH TAYLOR cannot stop th-INKING about his dream Manny Pacquiao fight – after having a touching tattoo tribute to his late dog ‘PacMan’.Scotland’s IBF and WBA super-lightweight king named his childhood Staffordshire Bull Terrier after his fellow southpaw and boxing idol.
Josh Taylor, 30, was forced to say bye to his beloved dog last year
The light-welterweight champ recently got his late pooch inked on his thigh
And, when his beloved dog passed away last year, he had an inking of him etched on a thigh.
Now, in a brilliant twist of fate, if he can become the undisputed 10st king by beating Jose Ramirez on Saturday night then a battle with a 42-year-old Filipino legend could become a reality.
Ahead of his Las Vegas showdown, Taylor spoke of his sadness at losing his dog and why he named him after one of his heroes, known as PacMan.
He said: “He was my wee best pal so to lose him the way we did was gutting so I had the tattoo done.
“People say ‘dogs are man’s best friend’ I think that is definitely true.
“What I really loved doing when I was home was taking the dog out for long walks.

“We would do miles and miles, sometimes five hours of just walking and chilling out together.
“Manny is a hero of mine so when we named the dog it came about naturally, I could never have dreamed back then of fighting him but I would still love to now, 100 per cent.
“As soon as that bell rang it would be down to business, even though he is an idol of mine and he isn’t as young as he used to be, he is still a dangerous top-level fighter so I would have to be ruthless.”
Modest Taylor crept quietly on to the respected Ring magazine’s list of top-ten best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet after his 17th pro win last year.
Victory over the 26-0 WBC and WBO American champ Ramirez will catapult him even higher.
The Scot is yet to lose a professional boutCredit: The Sun

The Scot said: “It is good but I am not bothered about being touted as the greatest this or that. I am not bothered about being recognised.
“But I do see it as a little sense of achievement that a little guy from Prestonpans can force his way into that list.
“I try not to but I do sometimes look at those lists and think ‘wow’ just because of how far I have come in a short space of time.
“One day when I am safely retired I can say ‘Jesus Christ, I was one of the top-ten best fighters on the planet’.
“But right now I’m just in the zone, I’m going to become the undisputed super-lightweight champion and then I’m going to go up in weight and win a world title there.”

“Gypsy King” Fury has spoken openly about his drink, drugs, and mental health issues in the past.
He was spotted this week with his boxer half-brother Tommy, 22, relaxing by a pool in Miami — with Fury sipping from a bottle of alcohol-free lager.
A source said: “Tyson has kicked the booze on the head for good.
“It is not because of the boxing, because he can always get in shape for fights and obviously doesn’t drink during training camps.
“Tyson is doing this for himself and his family — especially his wife Paris.
“And he reckons it is the best way to be a great dad and stay in shape physically and mentally.”
Undefeated heavyweight Fury said in March he was drinking up to a dozen beers a day and had quit training as he was fed up with fights collapsing.
The 6ft 9in star said: “I have stopped training at the moment, I am on holiday.
“I am drinking between eight, ten, 12 pints of lager a day.”
Sources said he could have been joking in a bid to speed up big-fight negotiations.
And he is set to fight Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia, in August, in a unification bout worth up to £100million each.

Tyson’s mother-in-law Dr Rita Ali also hopes the scheme will educate the public about challenges mums face rebuilding their lives.
And Iron Mike himself is keen to promote the initiative as the 54-year-old takes time off from his ring return.
Buoyed by an unofficial draw with fellow all-time great Roy Jones Jr in their comeback eight-rounder last November, he is still eyeing a trilogy fight with fellow heavyweight icon Evander Holyfield, 58.

W2M have linked up with prison reform group, Dream Corps/Cut50 to offer services to ex-prisoners.
And the Tysons celebrated W2M by hosting a Mother’s Day brunch at his SoCal Ranch with 10 Los Angeles-based mums recently released from jail.

Fury, 32, has been doing plenty of trash-talking on social media in the build-up to the fight, something Joshua has refrained from.
But promoter Eddie Hearn insists the antics have only served to further motivate AJ, telling Sky Sports: “You will get a different AJ in this build-up.
“He’s excited because he’s never really, apart from the Dillian Whyte fight, been in a trash talk environment. He will enjoy it.
“AJ has got the bit between his teeth, goading him a bit.
“I’m sure these two DM each other, goading each other. I get DMs from Fury – sometimes pleasant, sometimes unpleasant!

“AJ will go to war with Fury. He has plans to absolutely demolish him. That’s what I believe he will do.
“In the meantime we will go through the build-up, which will be a lot of fun, before the biggest event of 2021.”
A venue for the long-awaited Battle of Britain has yet to be finalised, although the Saudis plan to erect a stadium similar to the one they built for Joshua’s 2019 rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr.

He said: “They want to build a new stadium. They have indoors options.
“In August at 11pm it will be about 23 degrees.
“They want to create something very, very special. Last time they built a stadium for the Andy Ruiz Jr fight in just seven weeks and it held 18,000.
“This will be a similar set-up.
“They have the opportunity to hold it indoors but they want to create something that will shock the world. They want to build a stadium just for this fight.”
Fury’s constant attempts to goad him have seemingly irked Joshua, who tweeted earlier this month: “’Spartan.’
