Tyson Fury claims Anthony Joshua fight will ‘100 per cent happen this year’ after KOing ‘mug’ Deontay Wilder

Fury told ESPN: “I’ve got to beat up Deontay Wilder a bit better than I did last time, because he didn’t get a good enough hiding last time.
“This time I’m going to really double, double, treble smash him.
“100 per cent [I’ll fight Joshua]. AJ’s got a big mouth and no substance.
“He says I’m the one that does all the talking, but if I didn’t talk boxing would be stone dead because I’m the only character alive left in it.
“Let’s say that for a fact. [The Joshua fight] happens this year.
“I’m gonna deal with this mug, Deontay Wilder, I’m knocking him out cold, and then I’m going to deal with the other guy straightaway.”

Fury’s bout against Wilder is scheduled to take place on July 26 after an arbitration hearing ruled the two were contractually obliged to fight again.
The WBC champ is the favourite for the scrap after winning their last battle in February 2020, but a defeat for the Brit would cast further doubt over his long-awaited meeting with AJ.
Joshua is also under pressure after he was ordered to face undefeated heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk.

The 34-year-old is a formidable opponent having defeated Tony Bellow at cruiserweight level and Derek Chisora at heavyweight.
A defeat for either Fury or Joshua in their respective fights would take the gloss off an all-British showdown as it would no longer be for the undisputed heavyweight championship.
The sport’s most glamorous division has not had an undisputed champ since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in November 1999.

And YouTuber turned boxer Paul was quick to mock No Love’s latest setback.
The 24-year-old tweeted to his 3.9million followers: “What’s worse[?]
“Cody losing or him not being able to ride roller coasters due to height requirements?”
Garbrandt, 29, soon got wind of Paul’s taunt and was quick to reply to the ever-confident social media star.
The Ohioan quote tweeted the former Disney star’s insult and said: “Roller coast deez [sic] nutz.”
Garbrandt’s response to Paul drew praise from his legion of followers and garnered close to seven thousand likes.

The former 135lb king is anything but a fan of Paul, who he challenged to an MMA fight after seeing him knock out former UFC welterweight Ben Askren.
Last month, Garbrandt said: “Your whole squad would get f***ed up. You beat a guy that can’t box in boxing.
“Why won’t you come to the cage? Cause you’re a p***y, so is your whole squad.
“I’d give up 50lbs to you and knock that toupee off your f***ing head. You’ll be exposed soon.”
Defeat to the in-form Font – who is now on a four-fight win streak – bounced fan favourite Garbrandt out of the win column.
The heavy-handed Garbrandt is now 1-4 in his last five outings to the octagon.

But he was quick to give Font his dues after their five-round showdown.

Fans flooded Garbrandt with messages of support after the fight, with one writing: “You got some chin, Cody.
“Well done on the fight. Tough day but you’ll be back. Your head movement is amongst the top 3 in UFC. Good luck!”
Another said: “You’ll always be one of mine and my son’s favourite fighters.
“You’re a warrior and I can’t wait to see the next war. Much love…no love.”
And another said: “Made me an even bigger fan tonight. Tough as they come.

Taylor’s victory saw him become the first ever undisputed British champion, with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua having to wait for their chance to match the feat.
Asked what’s next, the 30-year-old revealed that he is targeting a huge fight at 147 with WBO king Terence Crawford.
He said: “I’d like to go up to 147 and chase a real, real big fight like Terence Crawford.
“I’m not gonna sit and call him out and stuff, I think he’s a great fighter, but I just think, two undisputed champions going at it at 147 would be awesome, amazing.”
Crawford himself has had his say, however, and doesn’t think that Taylor is quite ready to move up.
Asked who he’d like to face next the American, 33, told FightHype: “I would pick Manny Pacquiao.
“Josh Taylor’s still got unfinished business at 140, he shouldn’t be thinking about me right now.
“He should be thinking about Ramirez.”

And whoever his next fight is against, the Edinburgh puncher would like to perform in front of his home fans again, having not done so since 2017.
He said: “Now is the time to get that fight at Edinburgh castle or Easter Road. I know Easter Road are going to be up for having me there and they’ve said it to me a few times.

Wilder, 35, revealed his huge arsenal of weapons – which includes a rocket launcher – in the build-up to his first clash with Tyson Fury in December 2018.

“It’s therapeutic for sure. I used to clean all of them and break them down and all that stuff.

“I have got bullet-proof vests as well, I’ve got enough for an army.”
Wilder is about to step up his training for his third meeting with current WBC king Fury, who dethroned him last February.
The American finally secured a trilogy fight with Fury this week after a judge ruled he was still contractually entitled to a third bout with the Brit.
The pair will renew their rivalry on July 24 in Las Vegas, with their latest meeting set to take place at either the Allegiant Stadium or the T-Mobile Arena.
Fury put pen to paper on the contract early this morning and said: “Wilder, this contract is signed.
“You’re getting smashed. When I say smashed, I mean smash, smash, smash, bang.
“You’re getting knocked out. End of. One round, you’re going. I’ve got your soul, your mojo, everything.”

Mike Tyson wants Jake Paul to fight Kamaru Usman after UFC star demands $100MILLION to ‘punish’ YouTuber

Usman, however, was quick to pour cold water on talk of a big-money fight with the former Disney star.
But Tyson believes The Nigerian Nightmare would be foolish not to take the mega-money bout.
During a recent episode of his Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, Iron Mike told former two-division UFC champ Henry Cejudo: “I want to see that s**t.
“It’s going to be so much f**king money, how can he turn it down?
“That’s way more money than… it’s twice or three times as much money [than he earns] in the UFC. So, how could he turn it down?”
Usman, 33, is currently focused on furthering his legacy in MMA – although he’d happily punish the younger Paul brother for an eight-figure payday.

“But there’s a lot of work that I’ve put into my sport to get to the position that I’m in.
“And then when you see these guys come in and just, ‘Oh, I wanna challenge him. I want to challenge that guy.’ It’s almost disrespectful.
“It’s almost disrespectful to the point where, like I said earlier, I’m also the judge.
“And sometimes you might want to go out and send them a clear message and give them a harsh punishment.”

Usman’s comments on Paul come a week after the social media star claimed to be in talks to box the UFC’s 170lb king.
He told former UFC middleweight and light-heavyweight title challenger Chael Sonnen: “There’s conversations happening.
“I believe Kamaru’s manager is already in talks with Dana [White], and I think that’s all I can say.

Tyson Fury SIGNS Deontay Wilder contract with trilogy set for July 24 in Las Vegas after failed Anthony Joshua fight

TYSON FURY promised to knock out Deontay Wilder before fighting Anthony Joshua as he signed his trilogy fight contract. The deal is done for the Gypsy King, 32, to face the Bronze Bomber, 35, in Las Vegas on July 24.

On Saturday night, Fury travelled to Nevada for Josh Taylor’s super-lightweight triumph over Jose Ramirez.
And he gatecrashed ESPN’s broadcast of the fight to announce his next contest.
Fury stated: “I just signed the Deontay Wilder contract.
“B****, you’re getting knocked out! Knocked out!”
Wilder lost to the Brit in February of last year after being resoundingly outboxed across seven rounds.
That came after their 2018 draw for the WBC heavyweight belt and neither boxer has taken to the ring since the rematch.
Fury insisted he will demolish Wilder in their trilogy bout, which is tipped for the 65,000 capacity Allegiant Stadium.
He added: “I think he’s going to give a good roll of the dice. This is his last hurrah.

“I’ve got his heart, his soul, his mojo – every bit of substance of Deontay Wilder, I’ve got it right here in my pocket. I’ve carried it around with me for the last 18 months.
“He’s a glutton for punishment. He’s an idiot. He got absolutely dismantled and smashed to bits in our last fight, and he wants that all over again.
“He’s telling people I’ve cracked his skull, I’ve injured his shoulder, I’ve done his biceps. But yet he wants to get in there with me again. He’s either one of two things: Absolutely crazy, or he’s a sucker for punishment.”
Fury had been set to finally face Joshua in a huge unification showdown in August.

The Saudi Arabia fight had been confirmed by the Gypsy King only last week, before a US arbitration panel ruled that he had to settle an earlier contract with Wilder.
Fury claimed: “AJ’s got a big mouth and no substance.
“He says I’m the one who does all the talking, but if I didn’t talk, boxing would be stone dead. Because I’m the only character alive left in it.
“Let’s say that for a fact. It happens this year. I’m gonna deal with this mug, Deontay Wilder, I’m knocking him out cold, and then I’m going to deal with the other guy straight away.”
