However, Whyte believes Usyk will pose little threat to Joshua.
And he believes he would cause ‘major damage’ to his British rival should they ever meet in a rematch.
Whyte told Sky Sports: “It’s a dead fight. Usyk hasn’t looked good.
“Who has he fought at heavyweight? Chazz Witherspoon, Derek Chisora. He looked terrible in the fights. He has no punch power.

“Okay, he’s got good movement, but it’s not nice movement. At cruiserweight his movement was nice, but at heavyweight, his movement is not nice. It’s just so negative.
“These guys know. You can say what you want about me, but there are two things that they cannot deny.
“I always come to fight and anyone that fights me, you will know that you’ve been in a fight, regardless, win, lose or draw.
“The two fights I lost, the guys took major damage.
“Anthony Joshua almost got knocked out when I fought him. If you watch the clips back you hear him saying, ‘If I took one more body shot from him, I would have folded in half’.

However, Ortiz believes the promoter should be contacting him instead of Usyk.

JAKE PAUL has been called out by 0-14 boxer Andy Bishop after the journeyman claimed the YouTuber ‘stole food from his daughter’s mouth’.Reports emerged this month that the winless fighter was set to be the opponent for a televised clash with Tommy Fury – claims denied by the star’s Queensberry Promotion management.

However, Fury was mocked by bitter rival Paul for the calibre of his opponent when Bishop’s name was mentioned and there was a public backlash.
That led to the fighter from Milnrow in Lancashire – who has just become a dad to a little girl – claiming he was snubbed by Frank Warren’s Queensbury looked for another opponent instead.
That is another claim denied by Queensberry, but Bishop exclusively told Sun Sport: “Jake Paul is an absolute clown and I’ve actually messaged him this morning on Instagram.
“He is the reason why I am no longer fighting Tommy – that’s what I believe.
“He’s not going to reply to me but I’ve told him what I thought.”
Much-maligned social media star Paul took his own pro-record to 3-0 last month when he knocked out former UFC fighter Ben Askren.
But he could face a much trickier test if winless Bishop, from Northside Boxing Club, gets his hands on him.
Bishop added: “The lads he has fought… I believe Askren had just had hip surgery and was obviously not fit to get in the ring and to me it looked like he was hit with the shot and that he twisted and went with the momentum.

“It was more like WWE to me and a staged performance but there’s millions of quid involved in it.”
Bishop, who is a plant mechanic, says he is dreaming about what he would like to do to Paul.
He added: “I would love to let my hands go on his head and that’s something I’ve mentioned to him this morning.
“I wouldn’t be in it for the money. He could come down to Northside any day of the week and I’d love to do some rounds with Jake Paul.
“He took food off my daughter’s table. I’m in the boxing game for the money. I’ve just paid £520 for the medical and I’m far from flush.
“I could have done with money in my bank but I’ve only done it for the big fight, which could have had a knock-on after that and got a few more fights with rising stars.
“That lad is only in it for one thing and that’s for the big money – obviously I don’t bring that.
“I’d do it for nothing, I don’t want any money, I’d just be happy to spar or if we could have a contest that would be even better.

“But the chances of that happening are highly unlikely – but it would make me feel better to take out my anger over what has happened with the Tommy fight.”
Tommy Fury, the 22-year-old younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is attempting to forge an impressive career in the ring of his own.
He is currently 5-0 and is now hoping to stretch that to six when he returns to the ring on June 5.
A spokesperson for Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions said: “Mr Bishop was never once considered as an opponent for Tommy Fury by Frank Warren or Queensberry.
“No one at Queensberry, or on behalf of Queensberry, has ever approached Mr Bishop or anyone connected to Mr Bishop about fighting on any of our forthcoming promotions.
“Any suggestion otherwise is an outright falsehood. Mr Bishop’s manager will confirm this to be the case.

Tommy is currently 5-0 and is now hoping to stretch that to six when he returns to the ring on June 5.
The former Love Island star is fighting on the undercard of Daniel Dubois vs Bogdan Dinu on BT Sport.
He was reportedly set to battle a man 16 years his senior in Bishop – who has a record of 0-14 – however Sun Sport understands this was never considered by Queensbury Promotions.
Tommy was heavily criticised for the calibre of the journeyman he was reportedly taking on by both rival Jake Paul and Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh.
However, Bishop has exclusively told Sun Sport that Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotions have lined-up an unbeaten light-heavyweight instead.
He said: “Someone has told me he is now fighting another lad who is unbeaten.
“I spoke to that person last night and mentioned the fight to him, but he’s rushed to get a medical, but it’s all up-in-the-air.”
Sun Sport understands that no offer and no decision has yet been made by matchmakers on who Fury will fight next week.

“Any suggestion otherwise is an outright falsehood. Mr Bishop’s manager will confirm this to be the case.
“Queensberry have the exclusive rights to promote Tommy Fury and match his bouts.”
But Bishop says: “I’m gutted. I was in two minds to get my medical and have more fights. I’ve had a little crack at it, done what I wanted to do, made a little bit of money out of it but then the Tommy Fury fight came up when John approached my friend Mick Mulchay.

“I felt it would be a good opportunity to get on TV and fight an up-and-coming star and I was confident I could give him a test, unlike his other opponents, and at least give him a go.
“My company JPB Utilities were great and I took last Friday off work to get my medical done, £520, and now it’s all gone to waste.
“I told my trainer and I think he spoke to Frank Warren’s matchmaker and that fight is on June 5, with a Covid test and weigh-in the day before, then it’s gone quiet.”
The above are all claims denied by Queensbury Promotions who stress he was never approached over a potential fight.

Watch Tyson Fury practise left hook in training – the punch he plans to KO Deontay Wilder with in trilogy fight

TYSON FURY was captured practising his left hook as he fired a warning out to Deontay Wilder ahead of their trilogy fight. The WBC champion is training in America ahead of his return to the ring and has heavyweight rival Wilder on his mind.

Hitting the heavy bag alongside light-heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali, Fury threw a one-two followed by TEN left hooks.
The Gypsy King has happy memories of that punch, having dropped Wilder in round five of their rematch with a double left hook, to head and body.
And he reminded the American of the very same knockdown as he uploaded a picture of Wilder on the deck.
He captioned the post: “Please don’t forget the beat down I gave you last time chump.”
Fury, 32, and Wilder, 35, will renew their rivalry on July 24 in Las Vegas after signing up for a trilogy bout.
They first drew in 2018, but Wilder was emphatically beaten in the rematch two years later.
The second fight included an immediate rematch clause but amid the coronavirus pandemic, the trilogy was cancelled.
Fury’s side then argued the stipulation expired as they instead entered talks with Anthony Joshua for an undisputed title decider in Saudi Arabia.

Wilder fought his case in civil court and a mediator last week ruled in his favour after months of talks.
Fury was then faced with either paying the former champion a compensation package or proceeding with the trilogy.
Neither had any plans to negotiate a step aside deal, meaning they are now in line for another mega-fight
Meanwhile, Joshua, 31, has now turned to Oleksandr Usyk, 34, his WBO mandatory challenger.

In Paul’s latest, he uploaded a picture of himself as a youngster holding up a replica WWE belt.
He joked it was around the same time Mayweather won his first title and even poked fun at the boxing legend’s smaller frame.
Paul, 26, posted: “Fun fact @floydmayweather and I both got our first belt the same year. same height & weight class too.”
Despite the swipe, Mayweather was a world champion by 1998 when he was just 21 years old.
At that time, Paul was only three, highlighting the vast difference between the pair in terms of experience in the ring.
Mayweather, 44, officially retired in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 32, leaving the sport with a historic 50-0 record.
The American great is considered the greatest of his era – meanwhile Paul has boxed only TWICE before.
Both fights were against online rival KSI, the first of which was a white collar bout resulting in a draw, which does not count on his record.
