But not one to miss an opportunity in the spotlight, relaxed Fury grabbed the microphone for a bit of pre-race singing with Michael Waltrip on TSN.
The pair performed a rendition of Fury’s favourite American Pie to the camera.
But while Fury was enjoying his downtime and treating his family to a day out, rival Wilder threw down his latest threats at the British fighter.
Wilder, who suffered his first pro defeat to Fury in February 2020 to lose to WBC crown, is desperate to get his revenge.
And he warned the 6ft 9ins giant he plans to ‘decapitate and disfigure’ him when they step back into the ring again.
Speaking to 78SPORTSTV, he said: “My mentality is – you’ve been contemplating about hurting a person so bad, to the point you wanna disfigure him so his mother wouldn’t even know who he was.
“You wanna decapitate him in every way, like premeditated stuff.”

Floyd Mayweather will ‘make mockery of whole career’ if he loses to YouTuber Logan Paul, claims Carl Froch

FLOYD MAYWEATHER will ‘make a mockery of his whole career’ if he is beaten by YouTuber Logan Paul on Sunday night, according to former boxer Carl Froch. The legendary American fighter takes on 0-1 Paul in an eight-round exhibition in Miami, Florida in what many have labelled a complete mismatch.

Froch (left) has warned Mayweather his legacy is on the line against PaulCredit: PA:Press Association
And while Froch is confident Mayweather will come through it unscathed, he has warned the undefeated superstar that a loss could shatter his legacy in the sport.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “We could find out if Logan Paul can fight a little bit when he’s in the ring with Mayweather.
“Mayweather is going to be incredibly hard to hit. Logan is heavier and slower and although Mayweather hasn’t competed at any level for so long, it really doesn’t matter.
“It’s like me playing an old tennis player who has not played for years. I play tennis quite a lot now, but I just know I’m getting beat by the pro tennis player, who has been retired for two years, because they are just too good.
“Mayweather should be far too good for him, but it’s exciting and it’s got your interest, because Logan Paul is so big, Mayweather has been retired for so long, and you do think, ‘Oh what if Mayweather ruins his whole legacy by losing to a YouTuber?’
“That’s the appeal. That’s going to make you watch it.
“I don’t want to say he’s got a chance, but he has got a chance Logan Paul, because he looks like he can shape up quite well. He’s had a couple of fights and he’s so big.
“Mayweather could end up making a mockery of his whole career. If he gets caught and gets put down, it will be embarrassing. If he loses, he might as well get a one-way ticket to Australia.”

🥊 MAYWEATHER VS LOGAN PAUL: Where will the fight take place, what TV channel and live stream will it be on?
Mayweather revealed on his Instagram on Sunday that he will be in Miami for the majority of June in a bid to make as much money as possible from the fight.
The 44-year-old has already featured in the top three boxing pay-per-view events of all-time against Manny Pacquiao, Conor McGregor and Oscar de la Hoya.
And he will be hoping Sunday evening is another major money spinner as he attempts to attract crossover YouTube fans to buy the event.
Meanwhile, Paul has revealed he intends to knock Mayweather out in the first round in what would be a remarkable upset.
“It’s going to be a war,” said the 26-year-old. “I’m not going to make this s**t easy for him. We’ve been training our a**es off for eight months now to fight this guy.
“I’m 30 pounds heavier, six or seven inches taller, half his age and hungry. I’ve got nothing to lose. I have nothing to lose. I’m going in there with that energy and he has everything to lose.
“There’s a lot on the table for him and not a lot on the table for me. That’s a dangerous man.
“For those people telling me that it’s impossible, you’d be lying if you said there wasn’t a chance I could beat him.
“So yeah, I think I’m going to go in there and decapitate him in the first round. And if it doesn’t happen we’re going for the second, and the third, and the fourth.
“Who knows, it could go the distance but it’s going to be a f***ing show regardless.”

Deontay Wilder says he wants to ‘decapitate and disfigure’ Tyson Fury so ‘his mother wouldn’t know who he was’

DEONTAY WILDER has sent a chilling warning to Tyson Fury by claiming he wants to ‘decapitate and disfigure’ him in their trilogy fight this summer. The Bronze Bomber will step into the ring with The Gypsy King for the third time in Las Vegas on July 24 as he bids to reclaim his WBC title.

And while their rematch 16 months ago was a one-sided beatdown in favour of Fury, Wilder remains supremely confident he will exact revenge on the Brit this time around.
Speaking to 78SPORTSTV, he said: “My mentality is – you’ve been contemplating about hurting a person so bad, to the point you wanna disfigure him so his mother wouldn’t even know who he was.
“You wanna decapitate him in every way, like premeditated stuff.”
Wilder won his arbitration case to secure a third fight with the Brit, a decision which essentially blocked the potential for an undisputed clash between Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Since their rematch in early 2020, Wilder has changed trainers and teamed up with former heavyweight boxer Malik Scott.
Several training videos have been released of the pair working together, but Scott has now come out and publicly stated his confidence in Wilder’s ability.
“Muhammad Ali is one of my greatest fighters of all time,” he said. “He very was magical in the ring, but it was the things he beat outside the ring that truly got my attention.
“Deontay Wilder is the closest thing to that in this time.”

Meanwhile, Fury’s son Prince gave his prediction for his dad’s third fight against Wilder earlier this week.
When asked by Tyson on his Instagram what he thought was going to happen, Prince replied: “You’re gonna knock his teeth out.
“Knockout, first round… Bam! Right hand.”
Fury and Joshua remain hopeful an undisputed fight could still take place at the end of 2021.
But in order for that to happen, Fury will have to defeat Wilder and Joshua will have to come through WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk.

Logan Paul fuming at Floyd Mayweather bout being labelled ‘exhibition’ and says he will ‘decapitate him in first round’

LOGAN PAUL insists his clash with Floyd Mayweather will be a ‘war’ and claims his plan is to ‘decapitate him in the first round’.The YouTube star is taking on the boxing legend in Miami, Florida on Sunday night in what has been labelled an ‘exhibition’ which consists of eight three-minute rounds.

Mayweather has been angered after Logan’s brother Jake stole his hat at the press conferenceCredit: AP
Many have written off the possibility of Paul having any chance of winning the contest given his only professional bout came in defeat to fellow internet sensation KSI 18 months ago.
But Logan feels he has gotten under Mayweather’s skin during the build-up, most notably when his brother Jake stole the 50-0 fighter’s hat during their press conference.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “It’s not an exhibition. What exhibition is eight three-minute rounds? You know, this is a fight.
“If Floyd didn’t want to rip my head off before my brother took his hat, now he’s trying to kill me.
“He’s trying to make an example of the big brother so the younger brother has to suffer, watch and witness. I don’t know if you’ve seen Scarface but that’s what he’s trying to do.”
The general premise of an exhibition contest is that there are no knockouts and that it takes place over just three rounds with large gloves to minimise punch harm or impact.
But this eight-round bout does not contain the usual facets of an exhibition, with Paul insisting it will be a full-blown fight.
“It’s going to be a war,” he added. “I’m not going to make this s**t easy for him. We’ve been training our a**es off for eight months now to fight this guy.

Tyson Fury’s son predicts first round KO of Deontay Wilder with brutal one punch that leaves ‘teeth all over ring’

DEONTAY WILDER will be knocked out in the first round of his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury, the Gypsy King’s son has predicted.Prince Fury featured in his dad’s Instagram stories on the weekend to deliver his verdict on the upcoming bout.
Prince Fury predicted a right-hand KO from his dad Tyson for Deontay Wilder this summerCredit: Instagram @gypsyking101
When asked by Tyson, 32, how the fight would turn out, the eldest of five gave a stark warning to Wilder.
He replied: “You’re gonna knock his teeth out.
“Knockout, first round… Bam! Right hand.”
Fury posted the clip online, adding the line ‘teeth all over the ring’ ahead of the July 24 bout.
Las Vegas will host the trilogy fight after the pair infamously drew in 2018 before the Brit’s stunning seventh-round victory last February.
The WBC belt will be on the line at Allegiant Stadium ahead of a potential unification bout with Anthony Joshua.
Fury had agreed to fight his countryman in Saudi Arabia this August before a US arbitration ruling demanded he honour Wilder’s rematch clause.
The sniping has begun between the two camps with Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn hammering Fury’s team for ‘cheating’ the sport.

He claimed: “I did everything I can and as long as you can look yourself in the mirror and say I couldn’t have done any more, and I couldn’t have done any more than I did.
“So, rather than celebrate, ‘Oh, these guys they played you’ why don’t you be angry with the fact these guys f***ed up the biggest fight in history and made sure that the undisputed heavyweight world championship didn’t happen.
“Ask them why the reasons are that they decided to do that.”
Meanwhile, Fury’s promoter Frank Warren slated Matchroom boss Hearn for revealing the fight before the Wilder situation had been settled.
He asserted: “Let’s be honest, our side has been just as bad.
“It would have been better if everyone had kept quiet until it was all signed and over the line.
“Instead we got stuck in a cycle where their side said something and our side had to respond. Too many agendas and egos took over.
“Boxing needs to learn from this process.”

Devin Haney suffers first scare of career after being rocked against Jorge Linares as Ryan Garcia says ‘I’d sleep you’

DEVIN HANEY retained his WBC lightweight title with a unanimous points win against Jorge Linares – but was rocked to his boots in the tenth round. The judges ringside in Las Vegas scored it 116-112, 116-112 and 115-113 to Haney on an impressive night against former world champ Linares.

But it was far from plain sailing.
Sensing he was behind on the card, Linares really put it up to his 22-year-old opponent.
And a stunning left-right combo of power punches at the end of the tenth round had Haney stumbling back to his corner.
But the sixty seconds to re-gather his senses did the trick, and Haney closed out the fight to maintain his unbeaten run.
But some of his lightweight opponents were less-than-impressed with what they saw.
Haney’s mandatory challenger for the WBC belt Ryan Garcia tweeted: “I would’ve slept you.”
Garcia is currently taking time out of the sport to focus on his health and wellbeing.
IBF, WBA, WBO, and The Ring magazine champ Teofimo Lopez posted the plate with knife and fork emoji, presumably believing that he would ‘eat Haney for dinner’ if they ever fought.

Floyd Mayweather’s last loss revealed 25 years ago to little known Bulgarian at Olympic Games ahead of Logan Paul fight

BOXING legend Floyd Mayweather is lauded for his undefeated 50-0 professional record. But that doesn’t mean beating him is impossible – and Logan Paul will be looking at his 1996 Olympics loss as inspiration ahead of their scrap on June 6.

Before Mayweather turned pro in 1996, he fought at the Atlanta Games in a bid to become a gold medallist.
The Olympics are often seen as a right of passage for many young boxers, with Anthony Joshua becoming super-heavyweight champ at London 2012.
Mayweather’s golden featherweight dream started with a win against Kazakhstani Bakhtiyar Tyleganov in the first round before ending Armenian Artur Gevorgyan’s hopes in the second.
The 19-year-old then edged Cuban Lorenzo Aragon in the quarter-final to set up a semi-final clash with Bulgarian Serafim Todorov.
But the 27-year-old amateur famously defeated the future great in controversial circumstances.
Many critics believe Mayweather won the fight and the referee even raised the American’s hand in expectation of the result.
But the judging panel – led by Emil Jetchev, the Bulgarian chairman of the judges’ commission – decided Todorov was the winner.
The US team were incensed by the verdict, claiming the judges had counted punches from Todorov that hadn’t landed and taking fair shots away from Mayweather’s score.

But Mayweather isn’t bitter about the loss, explaining how it helped him become a great champion to the Club Shay Shay show in September 2020.
He said: “Am I happy with receiving the bronze medal, but not winning gold? Absolutely.
“The referee raised my hand because he thought I won, but I’m glad that the fight went the way that it did because it made me work that much harder as a professional not to feel that same pain again.
