Jake Paul taunts Floyd Mayweather’s punching power after boxer ‘landed uppercut on him’ in Logan Paul face-off brawl

JAKE PAUL has mocked Floyd Mayweather’s punching power by claiming the legendary boxer ‘doesn’t hit hard.’The pair came to blows last month after Paul stole Mayweather’s hat moments after his older brother’s pre-fight press conference for this weekend’s bout with ‘Money’.

The pair were eventually separated, but not before a fired-up Mayweather landed an uppercut flush on The Problem Child, himself a 3-0 pro boxer.
In an interview with Showtime, Paul recalled: “It was an uppercut. You hear like you hear it… smack!
“His bodyguards were holding me back and my face was like this [leans forward head first].
“And he’s like, ‘What the f***?’ and hits me with an uppercut.
“And he freaks out and says he wants to kill me and like it’s pretty hilarious.
“To be honest, and I told my brother this, the guy doesn’t hit hard.”

Paul’s brother, Logan, is gearing up to face Mayweather in an exhibition match early on Monday morning.
But the YouTuber has claimed to be in the dark over the rules for his clash with the former five-weight world champion.
During an appearance on the True Geordie Podcast, he said: “I don’t know how this is possible but I do not know.
    “I’m hearing 10oz, 12oz [gloves]. I’m hearing eight rounds, I’m hearing three minutes, I’m hearing two minutes, I don’t f***ing know.”
He added: “We’re prepared for anything.

🥊 MAYWEATHER VS LOGAN PAUL: Where will the fight take place, what TV channel and live stream will it be on?

“We did a legit proper camp. We’re doing hard sparring rounds, 10-12 rounds, three different guys, we’re ready.”
Mayweather hasn’t set foot inside the ring since his 2018 exhibition with Japanese kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa, whom he stopped in just over two minutes.
Money is brimming with confidence ahead of his clash with the 0-1 Paul, so much so he hasn’t devised a game plan for taking out The Maverick.
During an interview with Barstool Sports, he said: No strategy, I’ve just gotta show up.
“If I want it to go one round, it’ll go one round. If I want it to go two, (it’ll go) two. It’s all up to me.”

Watch Deontay Wilder dance in 2am outdoor ring workout before showing off explosive power ahead of Tyson Fury fight

DEONTAY WILDER is hard at work ahead of his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury – but the American is making sure to enjoy his preparations for his long-awaited return to the ring. The Bronze Bomber will renew his rivalry with Fury on July 24 at Las Vegas’ brand new 65,000 capacity Allegiant Stadium.

Wilder, 35, has enlisted the help of former opponent Malik Scott to prepare for his third encounter with The Gypsy King.
But the pair have made sure their first camp together isn’t strictly business – having a boogie before a 2am training session.
Early on Tuesday morning, Wilder shared footage of himself dancing as Scott laced up his gloves to his Instagram page.
As Old School Funk by One Way blared out in the background, Wilder repeatedly shouted: “While they sleep, we work!”
Scott also got in on the act, much to the delight of his former opponent.
But the mood soon changed when Scott put on the pads and started putting Wilder through his paces.

The Olympic bronze medallist didn’t let the music affect his focus, perfectly landing crunching combinations and showcasing better footwork than usual.
Wilder was demolished by Fury in their second meeting last February, suffering a seventh-round TKO defeat to the former unified heavyweight champion.
Scott has been impressed by the improvements Wilder has made during their short time working together.
And the Philadelphia punisher is adamant his former opponent will exact revenge on the WBC king.
He told 78SPORTSTV: “We built a facility to do a licensed homicide. Deontay Wilder is not playing. He built a facility to get this job done.
“When he wakes up and rolls out of bed it’s right to work. Everything we’re doing he’s right to work.”

He later added: “I’ve never seen it before from him like this at this level.
“I’m proud of him already for what we’re about to get done.”
Wilder’s co-manager – Shelly Finkel – has been equally impressed by what he’s seen of the former WBC champ, telling Sky Sports: “He’s training harder for this fight.
“He’s been training since August, July, physically. Now he’s been training tactically.
“It’s eight weeks from tomorrow, the fight.
‘”There is no reason to talk, because no matter what anyone says, most people aren’t going to believe it unless he proves it in the ring.
“He also has a lot of skills that he hasn’t shown recently.
“Like he says, ‘They need 12 rounds, I need two seconds,’ and I think you’ll see someone prepared for 12 rounds.”

Inside Floyd Mayweather’s secret sparring sessions as training partners open up on gruelling rounds and mind games

FLOYD MAYWEATHER lived much of his iconic boxing career on camera – offering a unique insight into his private and professional life. A star in HBO’s famous ’24/7′ pre-fight docuseries and even an executive producer in Showtime’s ‘All Access’ – Mayweather was happy to let fans go behind the scenes with fly on the wall coverage.

Floyd Mayweather would rarely allow his sparring sessions to be filmed
But his only rule was a simple one: no filming sparring sessions, with the only exception an open workout in 2015 before he beat Andre Berto.
Cameras from TV crews and team members inside his Las Vegas gym had to be switched off.
It has left little footage of Mayweather sparring, only adding to the intrigue and fuelling whispers of what went on behind closed doors.
The tales still live long in the memory for those trusted to help the boxing legend sharpen his prized assests.
And speaking to SunSport, they opened up on gruelling sessions, sometimes with no break and even how Mayweather used mind games to get the upper hand.
The 50-0 icon was a master on the mic, beating some of his opponents mentally way before the first bell sounded.
But the verbal warfare continued even away from the bright lights.
Daquan Mays, used in 2017 before fighting Conor McGregor and a year later ahead of an exhibition with Tenshin Nasukawa, remembers all too well.
Mays, 28, said: “During the session, Floyd would talk so much s***. I’m the kind of person who’s very arrogant myself, so I’d talk s*** back.

“He’d say certain things but it was always something funny.
“Like, we’d exchange punches and I’d probably get off with two and he’d get off like three or four, he’d get the last shot, slip my punch and he’d say something like, ‘I’m Floyd Mayweather, motherf***er, you know that’.”
Ashley Theophane was signed by Mayweather in 2013 and was even gifted a brand new Chrysler 300 for impressing so much in sparring.
The Brit, who recently released his book ‘Raised By The Hood’ which includes training camp diaries with Mayweather, witnessed first hand the trash talk.
Theophane, 40, revealed: “Floyd likes to get into your head. Talk to you during sparring. Laugh at you or critic you during the session.
“This throws off a lot of young fighters off.  He’s definitely a master of mind games.”

Floyd Mayweather was known to talk to his sparring partners
If Mayweather could not get you mentally, then he would try physically, often switching off the clock, allowing for no breaks.
Mays said: “We’re boxing, going back and forth, we did three or four rounds straight, but Floyd’s the type of guy to try and break you.
“He’s looking me in the eyes the whole time, and I’m like this s*** is fun as hell.
    “We’re in like the third round and he’s like, ‘I ain’t tired, I’ll keep going, I don’t give a f***.
“I was like, well I don’t give a f*** either. So he said, ‘Get the clock off, get the clock off, we going until you’re tired, until you’re done boxing’.
“Me myself, I didn’t care, I wanted to see where I was at. We did 16 minutes, he gave me props afterwards and that was that.”
Floyd Mayweather after a sparring session with Daquan Mays
Denis Douglin is another of Mayweather’s regular southpaw sparring partners and most recently shared rounds with the American in the summer of 2020.
And he was stunned as the session spanned over half an hour without a breather, with only an impatient Devin Haney bringing a halt to the spar.
Douglin, 33, said: “The last time we sparred, Floyd said to me, ‘We’re going to turn the bell off and spar till somebody quits. I’m gonna make you quit’.
“I said to him, ‘Floyd, if you turn that bell off we’re going to spar for the rest of the day, because I’m not quitting’.
“We sparred about 20-30 minutes straight, but we had to stop because Devin Haney was sparring after us.
“If it wasn’t for that we weren’t going to stop – we’d probably still be sparring now.”
Denis Douglin after a sparring session with Floyd Mayweather
Devin Haney pictured alongside Floyd Mayweather in the gym
During the latter stages of Mayweather’s career he was forced to switch styles from electric combination puncher to a master tactician.
But his performances in the gym depended on his mood and company.
Theophane said: “Floyd would have easy days and hard days in the gym just like any athlete. Watching him, you could only learn.
“Floyd tended to be aggressive in sparring. He went into the Canelo fight with injured hands and still put on a masterclass.”
Mays added: “It was more like a chess match, there weren’t a lot of punches thrown, it would be like tit for tat.
“More so he’s a counter puncher, he sets you up for punches, or change the pace of the fight every now and then. He’s real tricky.”

Even in retirement the 44-year-old is ever present at the Mayweather Boxing Club and is now preparing for his latest return to the ring.
Four years after retiring as a professional, he is set to lace up the gloves once more for an exhibition bout with YouTuber Logan Paul, 26, on Sunday.
And while he could be excused for simply showing up for what looks to be on paper his simplest challenge yet, the famous regime has still been followed.
Badou Jack, 37, promoted by Mayweather, said: “He’s a competitor, he wants to look good so of course, he’s going to train hard even if this is probably going to be an easy fight.
“His mentality is still the same, he’ll work hard and put on a show for the fans.”

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley CONFIRMED with fight date scheduled as YouTuber prepares to take on former UFC star

JAKE PAUL will face former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in a boxing match on August 28.On Monday night, it emerged a clash between the social media star and the MMA vet was in the works for later this summer.

And on Tuesday afternoon, Paul announced to the world his fourth professional outing will see him share the ring with The Chosen One.
He wrote: “It’s officialI have a list of people I plan on knocking out and as I enter my fourth pro fight, I am excited to cross the first one off the list by challenging myself against @twooodley a 5 time UFC Champion known for his knockout power.”
Paul, 24, stretched his professional record to 3-0 in April with a brutal first-round KO of Woodley’s good friend Ben Askren.
Woodley, 39, was furious with Paul’s pre and post-fight antics and vowed to make him pay for his words.
And The St Louis slugger’s trash talk has served as added motivation for Paul to put on a show in his maiden outing on Showtime.
He added: “Tyron ran his mouth a little too much in the locker room when I knocked out his best friend Ben and earned himself a top spot on the Problem Child death list.

“Tyron’s a seasoned striker who has fought the best MMA fighters in the world but will be dropped by a Disney teen star in 2 rounds.
“Maybe this time Dana White will actually be a man of his word and put his money on his former champion instead of trying to undermine my success like a jealous ex.
“Influencer vs MMA….let’s get it on. It’s Showtime.”
Woodley – who was released from the UFC in April following four consecutive losses – is relishing the opportunity to silence the younger Paul brother.
He said: “Easiest fight of my career & biggest purse of my career all in one night.
“Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can’t wait to shut this b***h up.

“This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.”
Paul has made waves in the combat sports world since making his professional boxing debut in January 2020.
The outspoken YouTuber has ruffled the feathers of boxers and mixed martial artists alike with his brashness and supreme confidence.
Woodley is among those irked by the former Disney star and can’t wait to get his hands on him.
Last month, he told TMZ: “Some people just need to be taught a lesson.
“Like at the end of the day, you just can’t sit here and think that real motherf*****s have put their time in this.
“Yeah if you want get in here and get a couple fights and make some money because you’ve got so many subscribers and you did something dope in another lane, I’m all for that.
“But when it comes down to [it], you gonna parade around and act like, ‘Oh, I’m a boxer, everybody is scared of me. I’m this, I’m that.’
“And then, you’re talking s**t about my dog. Now we gotta go.”

Mike Tyson claims he slept with prison counsellor and had to ‘do some really nasty stuff to her’ to reduce jail sentence

FORMER heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson has claimed he had sex with a prison counsellor after being found guilty of rape in 1992.And shockingly the 54-year-old says that he had to ‘do some really nasty stuff’ to the woman in the hope of having his sentence reduced.

The American’s boxing career came to a juddering halt in 1992 when he was sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted of rape in Indiana.
But he was released in 1995 after serving less than three years of his sentence.
Speaking to Vlad TV, Iron Mike, who has made a return to boxing aged 54, has revealed all about life behind bars – and sleeping with one of the counsellors at the time.
He explained: “I got in trouble like the first six months and stuff, cursing, getting written up. And then by that time, I got the hang of the place. ‘Hey, I know how to do this.’
“Next thing you know, I’m dating one of the counsel workers now, she’s letting me have sex with her now.
“So I’m going good. But the first six months I was getting write-ups, I have to pay that year back.
“[Now] I’m like a star pupil prisoner. Trusty, everything. Then, ‘Hey Mike, remember the first six months you were a prick?’ Boom. They gave me another year.
“So by passing the GED [General Education Department] they took that year away. So I flunked the f***ing GED and got mad, and so I had to start dating this counsellor and stuff, giving her money and doing really some nasty stuff to her, and she let me pass this test.”

“I was doing 69 at first—they gave me 63. Then they took 10 off, then it was 53. And then they gave me 10, I had to do three, I got seven on parole, I guess, yeah.”
In an episode of Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson, he told presenter Jim Gray how he ‘had a ball’ inside.

Floyd Mayweather open to future fights in comeback after Logan Paul exhibition as talks ‘have absolutely taken place’

He hung the gloves up as a professional after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 32, in ten rounds.
But he made a brief cameo in Japan a year later, wiping out featherweight kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa in a similar spectacle to Sunday’s headliner.
Website Fanmio, which offers fans the chance to receive personal messages from their heroes, tempted Mayweather back for his unthinkable exhibition with Paul.

And it appears their partnership with the 50-0 superstar could stretch beyond the bizarre June 6 bout, with potential other fights having already been discussed.
Fanmio founder and CEO Solomon Engel told SunSport: “They have absolutely taken place, I can’t comment on any of them now, but we’ve definitely had those conversations.
“We’ve had those conversations for a while and we’re still talking about certain things, we’ll see what the future holds but we’re very excited for this.
“And, we do think we have a bright future together working together. I’m confident there’s a future, but I can’t speak for them.
“Only time will tell if there’s future fights for Floyd.”

Mayweather initially featured on Fanmio to offer his supporters a range of experiences, from a video call to signed memorabilia.
Talk then progressed to working together on a boxing event, which would see the American great lace up the gloves once more.
Around the same time, Fanmio had started a relationship with Paul, who has boxed only TWICE before.
The first was a white collar bout with online rival KSI, 27, in 2018, which ended in a draw before they turned pro a year later.
Paul, 26, was then beaten by scrappy split-decision, with a two point deduction costing him the result.
Still with over 25.5million social media followers and 23m YouTube subscribers, despite the losing record his stock was just as high as ever.

And with the internet sensation’s new-found passion for boxing, it gave Engel the idea to pit him against one of the sport’s finest ever fighters.
