Logan Paul calls for Floyd Mayweather rematch once YouTuber is ‘a little better’ and says ‘maybe I can end it next time’

LOGAN PAUL has already called for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather once he is ‘a little better’ and said ‘maybe I can end it next time’. The YouTube sensation claimed moral victory against only his second opponent as he took Mayweather the distance.

After eight exhibition rounds, Paul managed to survive to hear the final bell, but somehow thinks he can go one better next time.
He said: “I’m probably going to go to the water, go to the beach, raise my hands in the air.
“Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul 2? I dunno, let me get a little better, maybe I can end it next time.”
Paul’s younger brother Jake, 24, claimed Mayweather was BEATEN much to the disagreement of fans.
The boxing legend, 44, started cagey but grew in aggression as the fight built as he looked for the finish down the stretch.
Paul, 26, was able to use his size to smother and grab and avoid the knockout defeat many predicted.
But even afterwards the social media star admitted he was unsure whether Mayweather deliberately avoided the stoppage.
He said: “You never know with this guy, you never know with this guy.

“I’m going to go home thinking, ‘Did Floyd let me survive’ he’s one of the GOATs and in many ways he controls this sport to a tee, that’s what makes him great.
“It’s an honour to grace the ring with him. Man, I dunno, this is the coolest thing ever.

Floyd Mayweather fails to KO Logan Paul as YouTuber takes boxing legend the full eight rounds in Miami exhibition bout

LOGAN PAUL claimed a moral victory as he managed to take Floyd Mayweather the distance in their exhibition bout. The YouTuber was able to survive the final stretch of the fight in Miami as he used his TWO STONE weight advantage to see out the eight rounds.

Without a knockout, there was no winner declared though most observers ringside agreed that Mayweather won the majority of the rounds.
And afterwards the 50-0 boxing legend admitted he was surprised by what Paul, officially 0-1, brought to the ring.
He said: “I had fun, you’ve got to realise I’m not 21 anymore but it’s good to move around with these young guys, test my skills just to have some fun.
“Great young fighter, strong, tough, he’s better than I thought he was. As far as with the big guys, the heavyweights, it’s going to be kind of hard.
“But he’s a tough, rough competitor, it was good action, I had fun, I was surprised by him tonight.”
The opening round was a cagey one as Mayweather, 44, looked to gauge his range having given up a SIX INCH height advantage.
He did land a left hook before the final bell but ended up on the ropes as Paul, 26, drove him back with a barrage of shots, but landed none.
The second was much of the same with Mayweather feinting and smiling while Paul kept his distance with a respectable jab, thrown from the waist.

By the third round Mayweather started to come forward, walking down the bigger man but was being held and leant on.
He did land a one of his famous lead right hands and also scored with a left hook as Paul looked to grab on, either out of exhaustion or tactically.
The social media star did have a moment in the fourth as a right hand clipped Mayweather but had little effect.
He finished the round trapped but defended well enough to make it to the corner unscathed.
Mayweather came out for the fifth with more intent and started landing with right and left hands, including a massive counter right uppercut.
But Paul took it in his stride as he entered the sixth seeing the finish line.

Mayweather looked hellbent on scoring a stoppage to end the argument but still a resilient Paul used his smarts to hold on, even landing some sneaky uppercuts.
Despite feeling the pace, his size proved the difference as he was able to nullify the attacks coming his way, led by one of the greatest of all time.
The final two rounds saw Mayweather come forward with aggression, but not enough to risk an unthinkable defeat.
As the bell sounded, Paul walked away on his feet and technically having not been beaten.

Paul said afterwards: “S*** man, I don’t want anyone to tell me anything is impossible ever again.
“The fact that I’m in here with one of the greatest boxers of all time proves the odds can be beaten.
“I’m the Maverick, I go right when they go left, I’m the unorthodox one, I’m the independent one and everyone has it in them.
“Everyone can beat the odds and do great things in life and I want everyone to know that and that’s what I’m here to say.
“Floyd Mayweather, it was an honour, I hate being a d*** and I love you guys.
“I love all you guys, this is one of the greatest moments of my life, I feel great.”
Mayweather, who hung up his gloves professionally in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 32, refused to rule out fighting again.
He said: “We don’t know what the future holds, I’ll talk with my team and see where we go from here.
“You’ve got to realise, I’ve been in this sport 25 years and I understand I’m not 21, I’m not 25 but I had fun.”

Floyd Mayweather says ‘I probably won’t do an exhibition again’ as he appears to hang up gloves after Logan Paul fight

WHERE was the knockout Logan?Loudmouth YouTube star Logan Paul couldn’t resist giving it large ahead of his clash with Floyd Mayweather here on Sunday night, telling anyone who listened that the mother of all shocks was set to be delivered.

But when it came down to the crunch, a bloke with two previous fights to his name was easily picked off by a five weight former world champion who many believe is the greatest of all time.
What a surprise. Yes, Paul gave it his all and at least he managed to last the full eight rounds.
He had some small successes and took some hefty blows.
But anyone who thought this absolute chancer was ready to send the legendary American tumbling to a first ever defeat needs their head testing.
Moneyman Mayweather was far too good for his rookie opponent and even though there were no judges ringside for this exhibition contest, the American legend was a clear winner.
Mayweather said: “I wanted to give people a show and he was fighting to survive, he was the bigger guy but his background was wrestling so was good at tying me up.
“This was like a training session really. Just going the distance was a win for him. He can grapple and was good at holding.
“When a guy that size is holding you, it’s hard to get him off you. I had fun, he did too. It was cool.

“I was training a few days a week, so for me to be retired, be a grandfather and fight a guy in his 20’s, when the money comes, we will see who the winner is. “
Paul did well to go the distance and proved he’s brave if nothing else but there wasn’t a hope in hell of seeing Mayweather lose.
His defence and lethal counter-attacking quality was simply too hot to handle for the 26 year-old who should stick to boosting his social media following rather than trying to stun the sporting world.
Mayweather added: “I am going into the Hall of Fame, I have nothing to prove.
“If they are happy with grappling and holding for eight rounds, that’s good for them.
“I hope the fans were pleased. I have been in this sport for so long, I was letting people see I can come out at the age of 44 and bring 30,000 to the stadium and bring good pay-per-view numbers.

“I am not going to perform like I was 19, it’s all about growth and aging.
“I can’t fight like when I fought people like Gatti and people like that. It’s sad Pacquiao is coming out to fight again.
“I could have pressed really hard but it was fun. His whole goal was to survive and that was a win for him. If he’s happy, so be it. In the history books I will always be the greatest.
“Will I make a comeback? Absolutely not. I have retired from the sport of boxing. I probably won’t do an exhibition again either.
“If he would have fought more, it wouldn’t have lasted eight rounds. I am just blessed to build a legacy and build a fortune from it.
“I have made some smart investments and everything is paid for. But we did what we had to do tonight. “

It was thought Mayweather would immediately make a beeline for Jake after the fight following their scuffle in Miami last month.
But The Moneyman seemingly has no intention of ever lacing up his gloves again, saying: “As far as me coming back in the sport of boxing, absolutely not.
“As far as me doing an exhibition again probably not.”
Mayweather’s comments came after he refused to address a potential showdown with the younger Paul brother in the ring.
In his post-fight interview, he said: “We don’t know what the future holds.
“But I’ll talk it over with my team and see where we go from there.

“You gotta realise I’ve been in this sport for over 25 years. I understand that I’m not 21 and I’m not 25, but I had fun tonight.”
Mayweather dominated his second exhibition, although he was on the receiving end of a handful of decent shots.
Paul’s spirited display impressed the 44-yar-old, who said: “I had fun.
“You got to realise that I’m not 21 no more.
“But it’s good to move around with these young guys, test my skills – just to have some fun.

As impressed as he was by Paul’s valiant effort, Mayweather was irked by the 26-year-old’s constant holding.

Mayweather, 44, started cagey before becoming the aggressor down the stretch, but he was unable to stop his much heavier opponent.
As Paul, 26, managed to survive, it won the respect of one of the greatest boxers of all time.

Logan Paul says he is ‘uncomfortably calm’ and warns pressure is all on Floyd Mayweather ahead of exhibition fight

LOGAN PAUL insisted he is ‘uncomfortably calm’ and warned the pressure is all on Floyd Mayweather ahead of their fight. The two global superstars headline in a pay-per-view spectacle in Miami as Paul is tasked with shocking the world with a miracle upset.
Logan Paul talking to ex-UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub
But in his final interview before sharing the ring with boxing royalty, the YouTuber professed he is yet to feel the pressure.
Paul, 26, told Showtime’s Brendan Schaub: “Feels good, I’m uncomfortably calm.
“Like I’m waiting for the nerves to kick in and I hope they do because, I dunno, I feel ready mentally, physically, like yeah I’m here, I’m ready.”
Schaub, a former UFC heavyweight, then complimented the calmness in social media star’s dressing room.
Paul said: “We are chilling, bro. We got the Chinese flutes playing kinda just skipping around the room, having a good time.
“I dunno, yeah I’m sure I’ll get nerves during the ring walk, maybe, I dunno, I’m ready Brendan Schaub.”
Schaub then claimed the pressure was all on Mayweather, the 50-0 ring legend, as Paul agreed that is why he is yet to feel the nerves.
He said: “Maybe that’s why. When I went into this promotion and I said I have nothing to lose, like I truly give no f***s.

Johnson dominated the contest, although no winner was announced after the end of the four-rounder.
The former wide receiver was thrilled with his performance, so much so he called out two-division UFC champ McGregor.
In his post-fight interview, he said: “I had fun. I think I’m ready for McGregor.”
Ochocinco shocked many with his approach to the fight, starting the bout light on his feet and staying out of the pocket.
And much to the surprise of the combat-weathered Maxwell, he landed a big right hand early doors.
The multi-talented Ochocinco was brimming with confidence, which increased moments after he landed a good straight-left-right-hook combo before the end of the round.

A frustrated Maxwell looked to rough up his man early in the second but struggled to land any noteworthy shots on the inside.
Angered by his lack of success, Maxwell came out aggressive early in the third. But again, he failed to get into range and cause Ochocinco any problems.
Ochocinco was more than happy to operate at distance, pumping out the jab and landing a good right hand midway through the round.
Maxwell came out like a bat out of hell in the final stanza and stunned Johnson with a big right hook seconds after the restart.
Ochocinco, however, weathered the storm and went back to operating on the outside.
But he recklessly closed the distance and ended up being floored by a big right hook.

Ochocinco managed to beat the count and immediately went into survival mode before the final bell, which he no doubt was relieved to hear.
After the fight, a delighted Ochocinco said: “I had fun. I had two months to get ready for this. I want to thank God for keeping me safe right here.
“Floyd, Leonard Ellerbe, my corner – Ralphie, Charlie. F***ing Brian and his team for allowing me to tick this off my bucket list.
“My life has always been about taking chances, doing crazy stuff. And this is just one off my bucket list.
“And it’s a message to a lot of people out there that are content, scared to fail, scared to lose, that don’t take chances.
