Watch as Jake Paul ‘too scared’ to look in UFC star Tyron Woodley’s eyes in leaked face-off ahead of big fight

YOUTUBER Jake Paul has been accused of being ‘scared’ after he avoided eye contact with his next opponent Tyron Woodley. The social media star is set for his fourth professional boxing fight when he takes on former UFC welterweight champ Woodley.

The two went face-to-face in a press conference announcing the scrap – but Paul kept losing his focus.
The 24-year-old appeared edgy and kept looking to his right, as Woodley kept his focus on his opponent.
After the head-to-head Woodley, 39, tweeted: “You’re already scared s***less.
“I don’t have to slap you. But the moment I walk away after I knock you out, the world will rejoice!”
And many people commented on the video that was shared on YouTube by Hopps Plug.
One read: This is the moment Jake knew he had picked the wrong opponent.”
Another added that ‘Tyron is going to melt Jake’, while Donovan Driggers wrote that he ‘feels bad for the kid’ as ‘all he wanted was to be like Conor McGregor’.
‘Tyron got this easy’, ‘the moment reality kicked in’ and ‘I bet Jake is going to cancel this fight’ were some of the other comments on the clip.

Another said: “Kinda feel sorry for Jake, he looked really humble and scared.”
Paul and Woodley will clash on August 28.
The blue touch paper for their fight was lit moments before Paul’s demolition of Woodley’s good friend Ben Askren in April.
The pair were involved in a heated back-and-forth in the dressing room that left Woodley fuming.
And their subsequent slanging match on social media has teed up the interesting grudge match, which, on paper, is the toughest fight of Paul’s young boxing career.

Paul, who in April beat Ben Askren in one round in his last fight, faces Woodley in his fourth professional bout on August 28.
But he has made it clear who he is targeting afterwards, as he promised back-to-back KOs.
Paul, 24, tweeted: “I will knockout Nate Diaz after I knockout Woodley.”
Diaz, 36, was called out following his points loss to British welterweight Leon Edwards, 29, at UFC 263.
The American veteran now has one fight left on his UFC contract and will be free to make a switch to the boxing ring once his deal is up.
Paul revealed he is chasing a fight with Diaz to in turn convince Conor McGregor, 32, into a mega-money showdown.
He told ESPN in April: “I think people will immediately write me off but they’re going to tune into watch.
    “It’s two massive names and it’s a massive pay-per-view.

Watch moment ref tosses towel thrown in by Lewis Ritson’s corner OUT the ring as boxing fans fume fight allowed to go on

BOXING referee Steve Gray tossed out the towel thrown in by Lewis Ritson’s corner as fans fumed the fight was allowed to go on. Ritson was dropped in round ten by Argentine opponent Jeremias Ponce but beat the count.

🇦🇷 HUGE WIN FOR PONCE 🇦🇷Jeremias Ponce floored Lewis Ritson three times in the 10th round to earn a stoppage win but should the fight have continued after Ritson’s corner had thrown the towel in? 🤔#RitsonPonce pic.twitter.com/HBNeJT2YT9— Sky Sports Boxing (@SkySportsBoxing) June 12, 2021

The Newcastle favourite, headlining in his hometown, was then backed up against the ropes as Ponce hammered away.
Ritson’s dad and trainer David then threw in the towel to end the fight, but official Gray had other ideas.
Per the rules, a ref has the right to reject the towel if he feels the fighter is fit to continue.
But it proved a disastrous call as soon after Ritson, 27, was dropped with a body shot and given another eight-count.
Again, the super-lightweight contender got to his feet, only to be floored again as Gray finally waved off the fight.
Fans online slammed the ref’s decision as Ritson was subjected to further needless damage.
    One said: “Shocking refereeing.”
    Another said: “Criminal refereeing that.”
One added: “Ref said its not over until I say so.”

The corner knows the fighter, the referee doesn’t. Shouldn’t be allowed to overrule. Last thing a brave fighter needs is a brave referee.— Brendan Megaw (@BMegaw) June 12, 2021

Promoter Eddie Hearn told Boxing News: “They’ve got some footage of Steve explaining it and he said because it was a body shot and you got up, I thought you should continue.
“Steve Gray’s a very good referee but [Ritson was] not in the fight, not going to win the fight.
“So why? And actually it didn’t affect anything in the end and it was fine but it could have.
“Because all he was doing was protecting his body so his head was wide open.

Olympic silver medallist Joyce, 35, hoped to meet Oleksandr Usyk for the interim WBO heavyweight title.
But the Ukrainian has been lined up by triple world champ Joshua for September 25 – after AJ’s money-spinner against Tyson Fury fell through.
The Mirror report Joyce’s promoter Frank Warren as saying: “The big fight out there is Fury versus Joshua but next year, and I believe it will be a stadium fight if they keep winning.
“The rematch between Joyce and Dubois is huge.
“I grew up when the British heavyweight scene was a case of who’d even think about winning world titles? Now it’s like a load of buses coming along.
“Once the AJ and Fury fight is done, assuming they win their respective fights, Joe will be in a great position whereby he is the mandatory and will fight the winner.
“Having said that, he has to win his fight against Takam and we want to keep him busy, so he’s out on July 24 and we go from there.

But also ringside was social media personality Corey B, who has 6.8MILLION followers on TikTok.
The radio host, 33, sparked a recent war-of-words with retired fighter Malignaggi, 40.
But he escalated the rivalry by chucking chalk over the New Yorker, which led to a physical altercation between the two.
Malignaggi appeared to go along with the feud, as he reposted the clip on Instagram, and warned: “You’re lucky you had bouncers saving you tonight.”
The American was involved in a heated dispute with UFC superstar Conor McGregor, 32, in 2017 after an infamous sparring session.
Malignaggi stormed out of McGregor’s camp prior to the Irishman’s fight with Floyd Mayweather after footage of a disputed knockdown was leaked.
He went on to face the southpaw’s training partner Artem Lobov, 34, in a 2019 bare-knuckle bout, losing on points.
Malignaggi has since remained out of the ring, but opened the door to another bare-knuckle fight.

He was also approached to fight YouTuber Jake Paul, 24, who is 3-0 in his career all by knockout.
Jake’s brother Logan, 26, recently went the full eight round distance with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, 44, in Miami.
And despite Malignaggi backing the farce fight between Odom, 41, and Carter, 33, he slammed fans for supporting the Paul brothers.
He told The Schmo: “You got these YouTubers making headway, making headlines fighting boxing matches, but they refuse to fight boxers.
“Because obviously if they fight boxers it’s not going to end well for them.
“So you’re kinda creating a niche, but it’s a really big nice because we live in the dumbest generation humanity has ever created.

“You’ve said it to me before, either come back with the W or come back on your shield.”
Logan, 26, can be seen getting visibly emotional, wiping tears away from his face before huddling with his team.
The social media star went on to claim a surprise moral victory as he lasted all eight rounds with Mayweather, 44, who gave away TWO STONE.
Paul came into the fight having boxed only TWICE before, both against online rival KSI.
The first, a white collar bout in 2018, ended in a draw before KSI won the rematch in the professional ranks by scrappy split decision.
It meant, astonishingly, Mayweather was only Logan’s second ever opponent, and the American celebrity called for a rematch down the line.
He said: “Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul 2? I dunno, let me get a little better, maybe I can end it next time.”
