Tyson Fury insists he’s packed on 27lbs of muscle in warning to Deontay Wilder ahead of trilogy

TYSON FURY insists he will be a 21st thoroughbred when he demolishes Deontay Wilder once and for all. After dropping 10st for his 2018 comeback from the obese abyss, the WBC Gypsy King was a meaty 19-and-a-half stone when he pulverised the American in seven sensational rounds of their rematch in February 2020.

And by the time they clash in Las Vegas’ T-Mobile arena for the trilogy on July 24, he claims he will have packed on a whopping 27lbs of muscle during the lockdown – spelling deep trouble for the Bronze Bomber.
Backstage at the Sin City press conference, the topless 32-year-old roared: “I want to be 300lbs when I get in the ring, I am 289lbs now and gaining fast.
“I am going to smash him even quicker this time, I want to get him out in one or two rounds.
“I will do an eight-week camp but it’s really been 18 months.
“I am being looked after better than Secretariat the race horse, I’m eating the best, I’m being fed the best, I’m going to sleep earlier, I’m waking up earlier, I’m being trained by the best, I’m drinking my water, I’m having my vitamins, there’s nothing more I can do as a man.
“I am being trained like a supreme athlete race horse – the best of the best of the best.”
Fury should have been boxing WBA, IBF and WBO champ Anthony Joshua this summer, to decide an undisputed king in the biggest fight in British boxing history.

AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn spent months getting a deal in place, only for Wilder to win an arbitration case to force a third fight.
Joshua launched into a Twitter attack when the Saudi-scheduled bout collapsed, calling Fury a liar and a fraud and threatened to ‘slap your bald head’.
And Fury fired back when asked how he felt when the all-English super-fight was kyboshed by an American judge.
He said: “There is no disappointment, I am still fighting the most dangerous heavyweight out there.
“I am not caring about mishaps or the money, I am caring about getting in and out in one piece.
“Joshua is irrelevant, he is a pumped up bum dosser, a useless dosser.
“It was too good for him that the fight didn’t happen, he didn’t want it anyway, he’s a s***house I don’t want to hear about him, let him fight his own people he has to deal with.
“I have to deal with the most dangerous and concussive puncher in the sport. I don’t want to hear about a pumped up weight lifter, not at this time.”
Following Fury’s superb dismantling of Wilder, the Alabama giant blamed a laughable list of excuses for the first defeat of his career, mostly baseless accusations that Fury cheated.
Wilder’s stock is rock bottom with most of the boxing public, but Fury is happy giving him one last chance.
“Even though I’ve beaten him twice, the man deserves the utmost respect for being the biggest puncher in the history of the game,” Fury said. “One punch, curtains. You’re out like a light switch. Night, night.
    Royal Ascot special 🏇🎩

“So no matter what the general fan thinks about Wilder and his excuses, I respect him as the biggest puncher in the history of the game.
“He put me down twice in the first fight, I’ve tasted the Alabama slammer’s power. It’s one punch and it’s over.
“Don’t go to sleep on Deontay Wilder, I would never do that. Only an idiot would go to sleep on Deontay Wilder. And an idiot I am not.”

Logan Paul returns to training alongside brother Jake after Floyd Mayweather fight and asks ‘who should I retire next?’

LOGAN PAUL has returned to training alongside his brother after fighting Floyd Mayweather and asked: ‘Who should I retire next?’The YouTube star, to the shock of many, claimed a moral victory as he took boxing legend Mayweather the full eight round distance in their exhibition.

Paul, 26, soon flew back to his newly-adopted training base in Puerto Rico and is already plotting his next move.
He posted on Instagram: “8 days since I fought @floydmayweather… back to work. Who should I retire next?”
Paul was training next to brother Jake, who is 3-0 in his career – all by knockout – and who returns to the ring on August 28.
He fights ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, in his fourth and toughest fight to date.
Woodley, who departed from the UFC off the back of four straight defeats, has not win since 2018 and make his boxing debut.
He has boasted about being in line for a career-high payday, but his comments were hit with criticism by UFC president Dana White.
White said: “I’ve been hearing that bulls*** forever. I’ve been hearing that. They’re all full of s***. What’s he making? Exactly.
“If it’s that much money and he’s so f***ing proud of how much it is, how much is it? They’re all full of s***. That’s how you hype up a fight, too.

“Tyron Woodley’s 40 years old. He hasn’t won a fight in three years in something he’s actually supposed to be good at.
“Now he’s going to go box. How do you sell that fight? Lots of other things than the s*** that should matter.”
Paul knocked out retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 36, in April and claimed it sold 1.4million pay-per-views.
But White has maintained the figure is fabricated, but backed the 1m PPV buys Logan and Mayweather reportedly did.
He said: “Jake, he didn’t do a million. His brother did a million, him and Floyd did a million.
“Last time we had a press conference, I told you all the Triller stuff is bulls***, they’re lying, the numbers, those guys [Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather] really did that number.
“That’s a real number. They did that. Jake didn’t do that. Logan and Floyd did and good for them.

Muhammad Ali’s brother reveals he cut promising boxing career to assist The Greatest but had ‘one hell of a time’

MUHAMMAD ALI’S brother revealed he cut short his promising boxing career to assist The Greatest – but had ‘one of hell of a time’. Rahman, who was one year younger than his iconic brother, made his professional debut in 1964, four years after Ali.

Fighting as a heavyweight, he amassed a record of 14–3 with one draw and hung up the gloves in 1972 after defeat to Jack O’Halloran.
By that time, big brother Muhammad – who had changed his name from Cassius Clay – was already the biggest star in the sport.
Ali was a former heavyweight champion on the comeback trail after losing three years of his career by refusing to serve in the Vietnam war.
And he enlisted the help of Rahman – who travelled everywhere with his brother as gofer after giving up boxing himself.
In an exclusive interview with SunSport, Ali’s younger brother said: “He’s the most famous man on the planet and I’m his brother.
“I was so close to him. I fought professionally too. I fought 20 professional fights. I won 16 fights. I lost three and one draw. I had amateur fights too.
“I was a very good boxer myself, but I helped my brother so I cut my career to help my brother and had one of hell of a time.
“My boxing career was very good.”

Ali went on to reign twice more as champion and shared some of the most iconic fights ever with Joe Frazier and George Foreman.
His brother was there every step of the way – even sometimes while sparring in the gym.
Rahman, formerly Rudy Clay, revealed: “To spar with Muhammad Ali, he kept me sharp and he made me a better person.
“I mean hitting and taking his punches I was improving myself. Muhammad was sharp and smarter.
“Speed and power, speed was the fastest and power was hardest.
“The thing you can say about Muhammad Ali is he’s an icon, his speed and power was excellent.
“He was the hardest hitter of all time and fastest of all time.”
Rahman, now 76, witnessed first hand Ali’s superstardom and the fanfare which followed him right up until his death in 2016, aged 74.

And in the height of his boxing career, his brother revealed there was not one supporter he would not give his time up for.
Rahman said: “Muhammad Ali was the most famous man in the whole world.
“There is no one on the planet more famous than Muhammad Ali. He is known in every country.
“We went to autograph sessions and the people were excited and there were long lines of people, long lines to get his autograph.
“The type of person Muhammad was, he doesn’t deny anyone an autograph and people love him.
“It’s a wonderful thing and you have to respect my brother.  I love my brother. He signed everybody’s autographs.
“He was a big sweet heart. Alongside my wife, Muhammad Ali was my best friend. He turned down nobody when it came to autographs.”

Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk have rematch for September world title showdown… but only if Ukrainian pulls off win

EDDIE HEARN has revealed Anthony Joshua’s fight with Oleksandr Usyk has a rematch clause included in the deal. But the clause will only be triggered if Usyk wins, allowing Joshua the opportunity to win back his lost belts.
Anthony Joshua will have a chance to reclaim his belts if he loses to Oleksandr Usyk first time round
Usyk’s bout with Joshua will be his first shot at a heavyweight title
AJ is defending his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles for the second time since he reclaimed the belts after beating Andy Ruiz Jr in December 2019.
Usyk is Joshua’s WBO mandatory opponent but Hearn has been able to secure a rematch in the deal – the agreement also includes a comeback fight down the road for Usyk if he loses.
In an interview with Boxing Social, Hearn said: “There will be a [rematch] clause.
“All the terms are agreed… when you talk about a rematch clause that’s also the biggest fight that a fighter could have.
“So sometimes people think ‘oh that’s a bad thing’, it’s actually sometimes a good thing.
“Andy Ruiz ended up actually getting quite a lot of money for his rematch, but it’s a massive opportunity, if Oleksandr Usyk wins he makes an absolute fortune to fight AJ again.”
Usyk has never been beaten in his professional career and 13 of his 18 wins have come via knockout.

That record saw the Ukrainian become the first cruiserweight in history to hold all four major world championships—the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF and WBO titles.
But Usyk surrendered his belts in 2019 to step up in weight and has since proven his class in the heavyweight division, defeating Chazz Witherspoon before beating Derek Chisora via unanimous decision in October 2020.
Joshua promises to be a tougher test for the 32-year-old however, with a date still yet to be set for the bout.

Teofimo Lopez slams ‘fraud’ Devin Haney and vows to ‘take him out’ as he reveals heated sparring sessions with rival

TEOFIMO LOPEZ will make it his mission to get rid of ‘fraud’ Devin Haney from boxing – and vowed to ‘take him out’. The lightweight pair have long been rivals, with their feud only escalating as they both claim to be the rightful WBC king.

Ukrainian Vasiliy Lomachenko did have the crown, until he was moved to ‘Franchise’ champion in October 2019, meaning he was free from mandatory defences.
American Haney was then elevated from ‘interim’ champion to the full belt without even fighting.
The waters were further muddied in 2020 when Lopez upset Lomachenko to win the WBA, WBO and WBC titles, adding to his IBF strap.
Having beaten the champ, many considered him the rightful WBC ruler, but the green and gold belt Haney proudly wears argues otherwise.
Lopez wants to settle the score once and for all, but reveals his desire to fight the fellow unbeaten star cuts far deeper than a title debate.
He told SunSport: “It’s not really the WBC dispute, because I am undisputed, it’s in the books.
“The thing is, it’s more than that, I do not believe this guy belongs in the sport, he’s a fraud, he’s a fake. I can’t respect someone like that.
“And the whole thing is just trying to take him out, he’s done what he has done but this guy’s been fed his whole life on a silver spoon.

“Only those that know him, know him and understand what I mean. I just want the guy out, I need him out.
“But these guys are scared, they really are running away and I wish that people could really see that part, but they’re not going to show that.
“There’s so many fakes in this world too, so when they fake it, they make it, and they’re all fake.”
Lopez, 23, and Haney, 22, have twice shared the ring before in two separate sparring sessions in Las Vegas.
Both have argued they were the superior operator and each had the backing of their dads, who train their sons.
Lopez opened up on the heated spars, and hopes the next time they meet, the head guards and 16-ounce gloves will come off.
He said: “It was more talking from his side than any action.
“Him and his dad, they talk so much and the whole time he was just throwing jabs, talking and backing up when we had our interactions in sparring.

“But it’s going to be different with eight-ounce gloves in there, and hopefully making that fight happen.
“That’s the thing, it’s so hard nowadays, I didn’t expect it to be this hard to make fights happen.
“I thought these guys were as hungry as myself, but I guess I’m built and made from a different cloth.”
Before Lopez can dream of a super-fight with Haney – who beat Jorge Linares in May – he first has to deal with mandatory challenger George Kambosos Jr.
Aussie Kambosos, 28, looks to upset the 135lb applecart as they headline on Triller in August 14.
Lopez said: “I don’t take any guy that’s in front of me lightly. Why? Because you’re not supposed to.
“The other reason is because I know this guy is here to take my bread and butter, that guy’s there to take all the belts I worked so hard for.
“All the sacrifices and work ethic I put into this, that’s all I’ve ever done in this sport and that’s what it’s all about, making sure that stays.”

Watch as Jake Paul ‘too scared’ to look into UFC star Tyron Woodley’s eyes in leaked face-off ahead of big fight

YOUTUBER Jake Paul has been accused of being ‘scared’ after he avoided eye contact with his next opponent Tyron Woodley. The social media star is set for his fourth professional boxing fight when he takes on former UFC welterweight champ Woodley.

The two went face-to-face in a press conference announcing the scrap – but Paul kept losing his focus.
The 24-year-old appeared edgy and kept looking to his right, as Woodley kept his focus on his opponent.
After the head-to-head Woodley, 39, tweeted: “You’re already scared s***less.
“I don’t have to slap you. But the moment I walk away after I knock you out, the world will rejoice!”
And many people commented on the video that was shared on YouTube by Hopps Plug.
One read: This is the moment Jake knew he had picked the wrong opponent.”
Another added that ‘Tyron is going to melt Jake’, while Donovan Driggers wrote that he ‘feels bad for the kid’ as ‘all he wanted was to be like Conor McGregor’.
‘Tyron got this easy’, ‘the moment reality kicked in’ and ‘I bet Jake is going to cancel this fight’ were some of the other comments on the clip.

Another said: “Kinda feel sorry for Jake, he looked really humble and scared.”
Paul and Woodley will clash on August 28.
The blue touch paper for their fight was lit moments before Paul’s demolition of Woodley’s good friend Ben Askren in April.
The pair were involved in a heated back-and-forth in the dressing room that left Woodley fuming.
And their subsequent slanging match on social media has teed up the interesting grudge match, which, on paper, is the toughest fight of Paul’s young boxing career.

Eddie Hearn snubbed by Sky Sports in final show with broadcaster after ten years before moving to rivals DAZN

EDDIE HEARN was snubbed by Sky Sports at his last show with the broadcasters over his move to rivals DAZN.After almost a decade as their exclusive boxing promoter, bringing through superstars like Anthony Joshua and Katie Taylor, the Matchroom boss has taken his stable to the streaming app in a five-year, £100million move.
Anthony Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn has signed a deal with DAZNCredit: Reuters
A 1000-fan card in Newcastle on Saturday was the sign-off but, at the end of the broadcast, there was no slot with Hearn and no package or montage of their most iconic moments.
Presenters Adam Smith and Johnny Nelson paid tribute to Hearn’s work but the Essex fight mogul confirmed he was blanked by the producers who are watching him take talent away from their channels.
At the launch of his three-week summer Fight Camp, when asked why he didn’t feature on his last ever Sky show, Hearn confirmed: “I wasn’t asked to.
“I think, at senior and executive level at Sky, our departure was met with understanding because they are aware of the size of the deal and the opportunity for us globally.
“I do think, at production level, there were people who probably thought, ‘We are not giving Eddie any air time on Saturday’.
“But that is alright, I never expected them to come out and glorify me when I am heading to a competitor.
“I am going to another platform to drive up their subscribers so they probably didn’t want to give me any airtime.
“They probably thought, ‘We have built Eddie up over the last 10 years and now he is off, so we will talk about our own new deal on Saturday’, which they did a lot of.

Hearn has already convinced rising stars like Conor Benn, Joshua Buatsi and Fabio Wardley to leave Sky and join his British boxing revolution online.
Joshua is not part of the deal but Hearn is working on getting Dillian Whyte nailed down to his new broadcasters.
He revealed: “Dillian is potentially going on our end-of-August show in America.
“We would like him to box twice this year, I think his next one might be slightly smaller than he is used to, because every other fight he is in seems to be a 50-50 war.
“We are just finalising that and we hope to announce that in the next week.”
Dillian is happy being with us and I expect to see him box twice this year on DAZN.Eddie Hearn

When asked if Hearn and subscription service DAZN were in a direct fight with Sky offering Whyte an alternative fight, he said: “Dillian is a pay-per-view fighter with Sky so he will have that opportunity.
“But that is not what we or DAZN want.
