Jake Paul ex-sparring partner says promoters will ‘clown the f***’ out of Tyron Woodley and allow ‘sad’ win for YouTuber

JAKE PAUL’S ex-sparring partner said boxing promoters will ‘clown the f***’ out of Tyron Woodley and allow a ‘sad’ win for the YouTuber. Paul faces the ex-UFC champion on August 28 in his fourth and toughest professional fight.

Woodley, 39, comes into his boxing debut as one of the best welterweights in UFC history, reigning the division from 2016-2018 with four defences.
But more recently, the American has lost his last four fights, without a win in three years.
Light-heavyweight boxer Ahmed Elbiali, who once sparred Paul, has accused promoters of perfectly picking the right matchup.
And he fears it will leave Woodley – an MMA legend – facing an embarrassing defeat against a self-proclaimed ‘Disney kid’.
Elbiali, 30, told SunSport: “I saw some videos of Woodley and I was like, ‘This is so sad’. They’re really going to clown this former MMA world champion.
“They’re going to clown the f*** out of him as boxing matchmaking is special, and it takes a while to learn how to hit hard in boxing gloves.
“Jake is the bigger guy too and weight classes matter in boxing. You hit any man in 10-ounce gloves they’re going to feel it.
“I’m sure Tyron hits hard but whoever’s matchmaking Jake’s career is not going to let that happen.”

How Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley compare ahead of their boxing match

Elbiali sparred Paul last year, before the social media star’s second fight, against ex-NBA player Nate Robinson.
At the time, he was 1-0 as a pro having stopped online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ in one round.
Paul, 24, then went on to brutally knock out Robinson, 37, in two rounds before stopping retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 36, in the first round in April.
Not only has the former Disney Channel actor improved to 3-0 all by KO, he has become one of the most polarising figures in the fight game.
Elbiali, who is 20-1, admits to pulling his punches against Paul when they sparred in Las Vegas.
But in hindsight he regrets the approach and offered a brutal assessment of Paul and Woodley, who are set to headline on Showtime pay-per-view Stateside.
Elbiali said: “Jake’s about to fight Tyron Woodley but I see that as garbage versus trash and I got trash winning by knockout.
“That’s exactly how I see it. Tyron is a really good MMA world champion but he’s garbage at boxing and Jake is just pure trash.
“He’s not a boxer, I wish I would’ve done things differently when I sparred Jake, I wish I had a plan, like p*** in a water gun and throw it at him or some s***.”

Tyson Fury backed by training partner to KO Deontay Wilder in five rounds in trilogy and ‘beat his f***ing ass bad’

TYSON FURY has been backed to knock out Deontay Wilder in five rounds by his training partner, who warned: ‘He’s going to beat his f***ing ass bad.’ Fury, who drew with Wilder in 2018 but emphatically won the rematch two years later, will renew his rivalry with the American in a trilogy bout on July 24.

Trainer Sugarhill Steward, Tyson Fury and Ahmed Elbiali
The Gypsy King has been training in America since April for his return, which he initially thought would be against Anthony Joshua.
But after Wilder was awarded the right to another fight with Fury in arbitration, the unbeaten Brit was forced to switch focus.
He also missed out on the chance to become the first-ever four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion in a super-fight with AJ, 31.
It leaves Fury, 32, knowing Wilder, 35, must pay for the missed opportunities and he has been doing everything in the gym to make sure of it.
Light-heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali has witnessed the brutal warpath in training and predicted another savage, but early, beating for Wilder.
Elbiali, 30, told SunSport: “He’s going to beat his f***ing ass bad, he’s going to light his ass up.
“I’d say rounds one, three or five.”
Fury, 32, was twice knocked down by Wilder, 35, in their initial Los Angeles fight and miraculously made it to his feet after a devastating combination in the final round.

Having narrowly beat the count, the Gypsy King rose to his feet and put the Bronze Bomber on the back foot, closing the contest on top.
It proved a lightbulb moment for Fury, who realised Wilder was easily beatable going backwards, forced to face aggression.
In their rematch, he did the unthinkable and took the fight to one of boxing’s most feared punchers of all time.
Fury bemused Wilder with his force on the offensive, scoring two knockdowns of his own before the one-sided action was halted in the seventh round.
Despite all of Fury’s technical prowess, Elbiali argues it is his boxing brain which separates him from the rest, having brilliantly switched tactics.
He said: “One of Tyson’s biggest assets is his intelligence, he knew he had to change up his styles to beat this guy and ultimately he did.
“Tyson in the second fight didn’t know how much better he was, so it took him a little longer as he was a little more cautious.

“Then he realised and was like, ‘Ah, even though this guy hits hard, I don’t need to be cautious’.
“And I think that’s why in this fight he’s going to steamroll the f*** out of him.”
Fury was sure to rub the victory over Wilder in, boasting afterwards: “I’ve got his a***, his soul, his mojo and his balls all in my pocket. I own them.”
Despite the goad, he has always conceded that Wilder’s power cannot be denied, with 41 KOs in 42 wins, making him a danger at any moment.
But Elbiali believes the hard-hitting Bronze Bomber of the past is no more, with his greatest weapon taken away from him by Fury.
He explained: “Tyson says Wilder is a one-trick pony and a one-punch knockout artist, but I don’t even know if that’s true anymore.
“To hit hard you have to land correctly on your guy, and I don’t think Wilder is that guy anymore that can just slap you and clean you the f*** out.
“Tyson is just so much smarter than the guy inside and outside of the ring.”

Wilder, 35, is set to face Tyson Fury for a third time next month.
But if that wasn’t enough, he has already stoked the flames with potential future opponent Joshua.
The Bronze Bomber, comprehensively beaten by Fury last February, accused AJ and his team of ‘already making excuses’ not to fight him.
But Joshua, 31, is having none of it.
The Watford puncher told Sky Sports: “I’m an elite level fighter, not one of the tomato cans he’s knocked out.
“He better watch what he’s saying because when the day comes for me and him, I know what I’m capable of doing.
“He ain’t an elite level fighter.”
Wilder had previously told Premier Boxing Champions: “[Joshua] said: ‘It’s not about the man, it’s about the person with the belt’.

“We are going to hold them to their word. My focus is definitely on Fury, but after that fight?
“I’m very confident in what I am going to do. I’m strongly confident in what I’m about to do.
“How the hell will they beat a full, healthy Deontay Wilder?

“Once I get through Fury, once I do that? You already know what I want.
“But, as I’m hearing, [Joshua and his team] are already making up excuses – mandatories!
“I want them to keep that same energy because they tried to make the Fury fight.”
Joshua is expected to fight Oleksandr Usyk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September.
But Andy Ruiz Jr is on standby, with a potential trilogy bout in the offing.

And a training video shared on Instagram by coach Malik Scott showed off Wilder’s incredible body.
The ripped boxer’s muscles were on display for all to see as he got to work with some seamless skipping at his training base in his hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Sweating Wilder was decked out in black shorts, yellow trainers and a yellow bandana with his wrists wrapped.
Scott captioned the post: “Locked in.”
Wilder appointed Scott as his No1 man ahead of the third Fury fight – despite knocking him out in 2014.
Wilder told Premier Boxing Champions: “Malik is my true brother. Even before me and Malik fought, we were very close.
“Throughout our careers we have always talked. I always wanted to bring him in because of his genius and his mindset as a fighter.
“He’s a genius in his mind, he knows what to do, but he just didn’t have the athletic body to be able to perform what’s in his head.

“I am the athlete – with instructions and teachings I am able to perform what he thinks and what he strategies.”
They were previously filmed working on the pads outdoors with Scott mimicking Fury’s boxing style while particular emphasis has been placed on improving Wilder’s defensive skills.
Wilder and Fury drew their first dust-up in December 2018 before the Gypsy King stunned his rival with a seventh-round knockout to wrestle away the WBC heavyweight belt.
They are set to step back into the ring on July 24 in Las Vegas after a ruling forced Fury to shelve plans to fight Anthony Joshua this summer.
Ticket prices start at £360 with floor tickets costing as much as £1,800, according to AXS.
But Wilder was in no mood to talk at their press conference this month, wearing headphones throughout and refusing to answer questions.
He did read out a supposedly-threatening poem which went: “Enough said, time to cut off his head. Come July 24 there will be blood shed.”

Anthony Joshua accuses Tyson Fury of ‘letting whole boxing world down’ and vows fight WILL go ahead after Usyk bout

ANTHONY JOSHUA insists he will still get to fight Tyson Fury in 2021 – even after accusing him and his team of blowing their summer showdown.AJ and promoter Eddie Hearn spent almost 18 months working on the all-English undisputed showdown scheduled for Saudi Arabia this summer.
AJ accused Fury of bottling their fight but vowed the bout will still happen by the end of the yearCredit: Reuters
Fury even confirmed the fight was happening.
Then days later Deontay Wilder won his legal bid for a trilogy fight with the WBC Gypsy King and all the plans went down the pan.
Hearn feared last week that AJ was so gutted by the farce that he would never trust Team Fury to turn up for a fight.
But the WBA, IBF and WBO champ believes whole-heartedly that once he deals with mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk in September, they will finally get to set a date for the fight everyone wants to see.
Joshua told Sky Sports: “Unfortunately his team let the whole boxing world down.
“We did everything. During a global pandemic, the toughest time to organise a fight like that, we managed to have 20,000 fans available, a site fee, the media ready, my name was on the contract, I was in training.
    “Then boom, they cancelled.
“I stay ready to fight them all because I’m a throwback fighter. I will still be here, still ready to put on a show.
“I am 100 per cent sure that I will fight him and win,”
The Usyk bout is expected to happen at Tottenham’s new stadium on September 18 or 25.

But, when asked when he feels the biggest fight in British boxing history could happen, he remained bullish as ever.
Joshua vowed he’ll fight Fury by the end of the year, regardless of the outcome against Usyk.
When asked about the spectacle, he said: “End of the year.
“Let me get past Usyk first. But with or without Usyk in my life, I will fight Fury. Usyk isn’t the be-all and end-all.
“Usyk doesn’t determine the Fury fight. The Fury fight has to happen. It’s a big fight, bigger than boxing, bigger than the belts.
“It will happen. After the Usyk fight, after I defend my belts. The fight will be bigger, better than what it would have been.”
AJ accused Fury of being a liar and a fraud when news broke of Wilder’s successful arbitration case and threatened to ‘slap his bald head’.
The months of wasted time and energy had Matchroom boss Hearn fearing all their hard work was utterly wasted after Joshua’s X-rated reaction.
Hearn revealed: “AJ never felt they wanted the fight, he never felt like Fury wanted it.
“AJ, in his head, probably thinks the fight will never happen. I would like to be more hopeful and I think it will happen.”
Despite AJ’s doubts, Fury also claimed the fight will go ahead once he knocks out Wilder.
The Gypsy-King said his trilogy fight with the Bronze Bomber is minor diversion and vowed to get back to Joshua once it’s over.

Last month, while speaking to ESPN, he said: “I’ve got to beat up Deontay Wilder a bit better than I did last time, because he didn’t get a good enough hiding last time.
“This time I’m going to really double, double, treble smash him.
“100 per cent [I’ll fight Joshua]. AJ’s got a big mouth and no substance.”

Mike Tyson stunned by video of Deontay Wilder beating up man in gym and says ‘I’d be in prison for this s***’

MIKE TYSON was left stunned after seeing footage of Deontay Wilder batter internet troll Charlie Zelenoff.Former WBC champion Wilder flew out to Los Angeles in 2014 to confront Zelenoff after receiving a torrent of abuse from the Russian-American.

Upon arriving at the gym and agreeing to settle their dispute, Wilder had Zelenoff pen a legal waiver to prevent him from suing in the future.
And The Bronze Bomber proceeded to put a thorough beating on the troll not long after the ink had dried.
    A fired-up Wilder raged: “Don’t you ever call me a n****r again.”
“Don’t you ever say you’re going to tape my daughter.”
Boxing legend Tyson missed the initial release of the footage of Wilder unleashing his wrath but was nonetheless still blown away by the beatdown.
During a recent episode of The Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, he said: “I saw Deontay Wilder f*** some YouTuber up.

“He came to the gym and was talking about Deontay Wilder’s kids and stuff.
“Wilder went here and beat his f a** up! He can really do that without getting arrested? I would have been arrested!
“I’d been in prison man, for this s***!”
Wilder, 35, is currently gearing up for a blockbuster trilogy fight with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
The pair will renew their rivalry on July 24 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
Wilder will bid to avenge the seventh-round TKO defeat he suffered to The Gypsy King in February 2020.

And the Olympian plans to exact his revenge in devastating fashion.
He said: “My mind is very violent. We built a whole facility to commit a legal homicide and that’s just what it is, my mind is very violent at this time.
“I can’t wait, when you’re contemplating and pre-meditating about harming a man and you see that person, what you’ve been thinking and feeling will come out.
“The only thing about it is, at that point in time, I have to wait until I get in the ring to really release because I can’t do it on the outside, it’d defeat the purpose.
“The baby’s got to eat, but when I do get in the ring, this is what I love about it, I’m able to release everything I’ve been feeling, everything I’ve been thinking, and get paid to do it.”
And last month he said: “I wanna do more than just knock him out. People know what I talk about.
“I think this is the man to feed my craving of wanting one particular thing.
“If you’re a fan and you have been keeping up with me, you know what I’m talking about.”

It didn’t take long for the pair’s verbal agreement to come to the attention of Paul, who immediately blasted KSI for ducking him.

KSI launches boxing promotion company to ‘stage world’s biggest and best celebrity and crossover events’

KSI has launched his own boxing promotional company to ‘stage the world’s biggest and best celebrity and crossover events’. The British YouTube star has boxed three times before, firstly in an exhibition against Joe Weller, which he won in 2018.

The same year, he faced online rival Logan Paul in a similar spectacle bout in Manchester, which resulted in a draw.
They then controversially turned professional in 2019, with little experience, for a rematch that caught wider attention from the boxing circle.
KSI, 28, went on to win by split-decision against American Paul, 26, but has not fought since.
The social media star, who has 16.6MILLION combined Twitter and Instagram followers, has vowed to return to the ring.
But he will also do so in a promotional capacity, having struck a deal with Wasserman Boxing and promoters Kalle and Nisse Sauerland alongside his management Proper Loud.
KSI said: “Since beating Logan Paul, I’ve been plotting my next move in boxing. Whenever I make a move, it’s always big.
“I’m excited to announce that I have partnered with the Sauerland brothers, Wasserman Boxing and Proper Loud to create my own boxing promotion.

Kalle Sauerland, Head of Global Boxing at Wasserman, said: “This is a major move for the boxing and entertainment industries.
“KSI is a mega-star with huge crossover appeal. He knows how to market himself and he knows how to sell events.
“He will bring a new audience to the sport of boxing.”
After Paul was beaten by KSI, he went on to face boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, 44, in an exhibition bout.
And he amazingly avoided a knockout defeat by surviving the eight round distance, meaning no winner or loser was declared.
His brother Jake, 24, has also gone 3-0, all by KO with wins over KSI’s friend ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 36.
The most recent win, a first-round knockout against renowned grappler Askren, has set him up against Tyron Woodley, 39, in his next fight.
Jake faces the former UFC champion on August 28, but has lobbied to fight KSI ever since his brother’s loss.
But KSI has instead accepted a challenge from fellow YouTuber Austin McBroom, 29, who just beat TikToker Bryce Hall, 21, in a celebrity boxing event.
