Derek Chisora puts £6,000 on England to win Euros with massive £36,000 at stake as heavyweight says ‘It’s Coming Home’

DEREK CHISORA put his faith in England winning the Euros as he placed a £6,000 bet with a massive £36,000 at stake. The heavyweight was clearly convinced by the Three Lions as they secured a famous 2-0 win against arch rivals Germany.

Chisora, 37, showed off his bet slip and posted: “IT’S COMING HOME.”
Goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane saw England progress into the quarter-finals.
Chisora has never been shy of putting his money where his mouth is when it comes to wagers.
He stuck £8,500 on Billy Joe Saunders, 31, upsetting the odds against Canelo Alvarez, 30, in May, which would have paid out £54,000.
Unfortunately, Saunders suffered a gruesome eye injury in round eight and was pulled out by his corner.
For Chris Eubank Jr, beaten by the former two-weight champion in 2014, he earned himself £10,000 after putting the same amount on a Canelo KO.
Eubank Jr, 31, later donated his winnings to the Rockinghorse Children’s charity in Brighton.
Ukraine now await England in the quarter-finals, as manager Gareth Southagate’s hailed his side, who are riding high.

Southgate, 50, said: “The players were immense, right the way through the team. The energy was incredible in the stadium.
“For those people, after such a difficult year at home, to have that enjoyment we’ve given them today was very special.
“It didn’t need me to say it but when we got in the dressing room we were talking about Saturday already.
“Today’s been an immense performance but at a cost emotionally and physically, we need to make sure we recover well.
“It’s a dangerous moment for us. We have the feeling round the country that we only have to turn up to win the thing, but it’s going to be an immense challenge from here on.
“The players feet are on the ground, they should feel confident from the way they’ve played, but we came here with an intention and we’ve not achieved that yet.”

The event, cross-promoted by Top Rank and Premier Boxing Champions, will see a host of heavy-hitters featuring on the undercard.
That includes the battle of unbeatens between Cuba’s Frank Sanchez meeting Nigeria’s Efe Ajagba.
Sanchez, a training partner of Canelo Alvarez who is promoted by Top Rank, will put his 18-0 record against PBC’s Ajagba, who stands 15-0.
Robert Helenius will also rematch Adam Kownacki on the bill.
Polish prospect Kownacki, 32, was defeated for the first time and stunned by veteran Helenius, 37, in March 2020.
Kownacki said: “I’m very excited to be back in the ring. The pandemic made things hard for everyone, but things are getting back to normal.
“Being a part of an all-heavyweight pay-per-view like this feels great, and it’s a great thing for fans of our sport.
“This pay-per-view will be action-packed from top to bottom. I can’t wait to get my revenge against Robert Helenius.

“It’s been a long year waiting for the rematch, but I’ll be getting a victory on July 24.
“I feel like things will get back to normal and I will prove that I am one of the top heavyweights in the world.”
American star Jared Anderson will return, against Vladimir Tereshkin, who has 20 wins and one draw.
Anderson, 21, is 9-0 and was credited as a huge part in Fury’s win against Wilder last year.

Promoter Eddie Hearn announced last week that Joshua’s WBO mandatory will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 25.
And AJ couldn’t be any more content with the fight, using a Drake lyric to express his current state of mind.
He wrote on Instagram: ‘Feeling good. Living better.”
Joshua’s next outing was supposed to be a blockbuster undisputed title fight with fellow Brit Tyson Fury.
But the biggest bout in the history of British boxing ended up being scuppered when an American judge ordered Fury to have a trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder.
Joshua, 31, was furious at the collapse of the fight, so much so he launched an uncharacteristic blistering attack on The Gypsy King.

He tweeted: “@Tyson_Fury the world now sees you for the fraud you are. You’ve let boxing down!
“You lied to the fans and led them on. Used my name for clout not a fight.
“Bring me any championship fighter who can handle their business correctly.”
But the Olympian’s focus is now fully on slick southpaw Usyk.
He told Sky Sports: “I wanted to go like August but change of opponent, completely different style, the team said push it back a little bit, prepare properly.
“This is a fight I need to win because I was at the final destination on that road to undisputed but now we have a pit stop we have to make with Usyk.

“At the end of September is when I’ll be taking on the former undisputed cruiserweight champion of the world.”
The undefeated Usyk will provide Joshua with one of the toughest tests of his career.
But the Watford warrior is positive he’ll pass it with flying colours.
A fired-up Joshua said of Usyk’s skills: “I fear none of them.
“He don’t bring nothing I ain’t seen before. Two hands, two legs, a brain and a bit of heart.
“He’s a good fighter, I’m challenging myself in training. So yeah, let’s get it on.”

Watch Deontay Wilder’s wild reaction after bench pressing 310lbs before warning Tyson Fury to ‘get your weight up’

DEONTAY WILDER warned Tyson Fury ‘get your weight up’ as he bench pressed 310lbs before going berserk. Wilder is set to face Fury in a trilogy bout on July 24, having been beaten by the Brit in February 2020.

That night in Las Vegas, the American weighed a career-heaviest 16st 7lbs, but was still outweighed by THREE STONE.
In their first fight in 2018, which ended in a draw, Wilder scaled 15st 2lbs.
But despite the defeat while up in size, the ex-WBC champion appears to be focusing on bulking up further.
Fury has vowed to weigh 21stone and run over Wilder like an ’18-wheeler’.
But the Bronze Bomber has other ideas as he showed off his weight lifting regime and went crazy after the bench press.
Wilder said: “I’m a train baby, you say you’re a semi truck, I’m going to run you over like a freight train. You better get your weight up.”
Fury, 32, boxed brilliantly the first time he shared the ring with Wilder, 35, but after hitting the deck twice he was reduced to only a draw.
In the rematch two years on, he switched up his tactics to go on the offensive, scoring two knockdowns of his own before winning in round seven.

Fury was not shy about planning a similar game plan when the pair renew their rivalry next month.
He said: “I gave my game plan away the first time because he wasn’t good enough to do anything about it, I’ll do the same thing this time.
“Deontay Wilder is a one trick pony, he has one punch power, we all know that, great.
“What I’ll do to him this time is run him over as if I’m an 18-wheeler and he’s a human being, I guarantee you it does not go past where it did before.
“I’ve had 18 months of practising what I’m gonna do to him.
“I want to get up to 300 pounds for this fight and I’m looking for the big knockout straight away.”

KSI vs Austin McBroom tale of the tape: How Brit compares with US YouTube rival ahead of huge boxing return

BRITISH YouTube sensation KSI is set to make his return to boxing against American internet star Austin McBroom.KSI – real name Olijade Olatunji – last fought in November 2019, when he defeated Logan Paul via a decision in Los Angeles.

The win has aged particularly well, given Paul’s recent display against Floyd Mayweather.
And KSI is finally ready to re-enter the ring.
Former college basketball star McBroom, 29, recently headlined the YouTubers vs TikTokers event – annihilating Bryce Hall in the main event.
KSI was less than impressed, writing: “I would beat every single person on that card. Including Austin, Gib.”
McBroom wasted little time in responding, saying: “I’m ready whenever you are.”
KSI then replied: “Great warm-up. I’m ready.”
But how do the two stars compare?
KSI has fought three times, including two amateur bouts – beating Joe Weller and Paul – with a draw against the latter sandwiched between.

McBroom, meanwhile, has one significant fight to speak of – the easy win over Hall earlier this month.
KSI has a bigger social media presence, boasting an impressive 9.7million Instagram followers compared to McBroom’s still significant tally of 6.8m.
And as well as more followers, he also has a big advantage when it comes to career earnings.
KSI is believed to be worth a cool £16m.
While McBroom is reportedly worth around £1.4m.
KSI rose to fame as a teenager, gaining a huge following through his Fifa videos.

McBroom, meanwhile, achieved an decent college basketball career in the States – averaging 21 points a game in the 2015-16 season before going undrafted in that year’s NBA draft.
Not everyone is impressed by the prospect of this bout, however, not least Jake Paul.
The Problem Child, brother of KSI’s old rival Logan, slammed KSI, accusing his brother’s conqueror of ducking him.
He wrote online: “[Laugh out loud]. KSI immediately jumping at the opportunity to fight Austin.
“I guess ‘music tours’ and ‘Covid’ were only in the way of him fighting me.”

Deontay Wilder acting ‘out of character’ with headphones on in Tyson Fury build up, says legend Andre Ward

DEONTAY WILDER is acting ‘out of character’ ahead of his trilogy fight against Tyson Fury, says former world champion boxer Andre Ward.In a recent press conference for the July 24 rematch, Wilder kept his headphones on for the duration – even for the head-to-head.

He has been sharing late-night training sessions with his new coach Malik Scott regularly on his social media accounts.
Ward believes Wilder is acting differently to how the boxing world knows him to be.
But the former unified super-middleweight and light-heavyweight champ is still giving the American a chance.
Speaking to Fight Hype, the 37-year-old said: “I didn’t like the headphones from Wilder, but that’s the strategy he’s taking and we’re going to find out if it works or not.
“Fury has basically been doing what he’s been doing, talking his talk and he tends to back it up.
“Wilder is out of character in a sense that he’s not his normal self, but we got to see if this new tactic of tuning the world out and tuning Fury out will work.
“We’re going to find out in a month from now. I don’t think he has a better chance. I think he has the chance that he’s always had.
“He’s dangerous, but I think he’s always going to be dangerous.

“But in this fight I think he’s going to be dangerous in a different kind of way because of the circumstances. He’s got a lot to prove.”
Fury and Deontay Wilder have shared 19 rounds in the ring – and finally complete their heavyweight trilogy this summer.

The Gypsy King had been in talks to fight Anthony Joshua, but has instead been forced to defend his WBC title against Wilder in Las Vegas.
Fury demolished Wilder inside seven rounds to inflict the first defeat of the American’s career back in February 2020. Neither man has fought since then, and both have been busy in longer training camps.

Anthony Joshua’s London 2012 Olympic final win questioned by bitter rival who insists ‘the public were on his side’

The Italian was 13-10 up going into the final third round, with the judges scoring the fight 18-18 at the end.
AJ won on countback to be crowned Olympic champ on his home turf.
But Cammarelle is still bitter about taking the silver medal and believes he should have won the fight.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 2008 Olympic champ said: “As far as I can remember, I think I managed to fight exceptionally well during the two rounds.
“The last round, he did not fight to overcome me. He was just sort of managing the fight. Having an equal number of points, an equal score, I can’t understand [how] I didn’t win.
“I thought I was managing the advantage I had managed to win over the first round. But nonetheless, I thought I had managed to fight a third round that was enough to win the fight.
“I think the public very much influenced the judges.
“I was under the impression at some point that regardless of any move by Joshua, the crowd was cheering even if it was a miss, and I think it certainly influenced the final result.”

Promoter Eddie Hearn told iFL TV: “The date is September 18th or 25th, most likely 25th at Spurs.”
Hearn has been going back and forth with Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk with contracts being exchanged.
But Hearn has no fear the fight will be announced soon, as he faces a wait to find what capacity of fans that can attend Spurs’ 62,000-seater.
He said: “We’ve also got a lot to wait to finalise in terms of the crowd and what we’re allowed at Spurs on that date.
“And that’s why we’re probably not rushing it as I couldn’t really tell you at this stage to say, ‘Yes, we can go on sale tomorrow and let’s sell 80,000 tickets’.
“Because, that will evolve other the next couple of weeks. So there’s been nothing that’s happened that makes me say, ‘Ooo, well don’t think it’s going happen’.
“But September 25th is quite a long time away, so I guess we’re not up to a deadline where we’re trying to close it tonight.
“The team went to see Spurs the other day and the fixtures are out now and they’re away on the 25th, so that’s a date that could work.”
