Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley date: Live stream, TV channel, UK start time as UFC ace takes on YouTube star

JAKE PAUL returns to the ring this summer against yet another former UFC star. The Problem Child’s fourth professional outing will see him lock horns with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
And there is plenty of bad blood between the pair
The blue touch paper for their fight was lit moments before Paul’s demolition of Woodley’s good friend Ben Askren in April.
The pair were involved in a heated back-and-forth in the dressing room that left Woodley fuming.
And their subsequent slanging match on social media has teed up the interesting grudge match, which, on paper, is the toughest fight of Paul’s young boxing career.
Here’s everything you need to know about the pair’s upcoming bout:

What channel is the fight on?
A UK broadcaster has yet to pick up the rights for Paul vs Woodley.
Showtime Sports, however, will air the fight in the United States.
FITE TV won the international broadcast rights for Paul’s two-minute demolition of Askren in April and could screen the fight again.
What time will the fight take place in the UK?
Should the fight be held on the east coast, it will get underway between 03:00am and 04:00am BST time.
If it lands on the west coast, it’ll likely commence between 05:00am and 06:00am BST time.

    What have they said?
Paul said of the former UFC star: “He’s a good striker. He’s known for knocking people out. But I think when I beat Tyron, people have to put respect on my name.
“But that’s not what I’m here for, to be honest. I already know how good I am. I know that this is going to be another easy fight.
“That’s why Showtime is in business with me. You’re looking at the future of boxing.”
Woodley said of his clash with the social media star: “Easiest fight of my career and biggest purse of my career all in one night.
“Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can’t wait to shut this b***h up.
“This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.”

Manny Pacquiao ‘honoured’ to meet Logan Paul after YouTuber makes dig about Floyd Mayweather to Filipino

Pacquiao took to social media to share his admiration of Paul after the pair met at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Club.
The Filipino fighter has been training with the legendary coach, who helped Pacquiao become an eight-division world champion earlier in his career.
Pac-Man shared a picture of him and Paul on Twitter with the caption: “Honoured to have Logan Paul come to Wild Card Boxing Club today.
“After watching me working out he said he was glad he fought Mayweather instead of me.”
Paul, 26, fought Floyd Mayweather Jr, 44, in a controversial exhibition in June.
Their meeting ended in a draw, with fans describing it as the ‘worst fight of all time’ and ‘battle of the cuddles’.
Mayweather defeated Pacquiao in 2015 for the unfired welterweight title, one of the most anticipated fights in modern boxing history.

Pacquiao has been taunting his old foe in the build-up to his next bout, claiming Spence, 31, is a better fighter than Mayweather.
And Pac-Man has insisted he’s fighting the best and not ‘non-boxers just to get paid’ – alluding to Money’s exhibition with Paul.
But Mayweather has also been teasing Pacquiao, claiming he will give Spence ‘pointers’ on how to beat the boxing veteran.
Pacquiao’s fight with Spence is one of the biggest of the year, with Tyson Fury set to meet Deontay Wilder for the WBC heavyweight crown in October.
The two were due to fight in July but their bout was postponed after Fury reportedly tested positive for Covid-19.

Woodley, 39, will bid to avenge his good friend Ben Askren’s brutal first-round KO loss to The Problem Child in April.
But The Chosen One could end up having Paul’s name permanently etched on his body if he loses their showdown.
During the pair’s second pre-fight press conference on Tuesday, Paul said: “So how about this, let’s make a new bet right now.
“Let’s make a new bet — if I beat you, you have to get ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattooed on you.
“But if you beat me, I get ‘I love Tyron Woodley’ tattooed on me and you have to post it on your Instagram feed.
“Deal or no deal? Are you confident or not? This guy has no f***ing confidence.”

Woodley, who became a free agent after losing to Vicente Luque in March, didn’t hesitate to up the stakes.
He asked the crowd: “Y’all think I should do it? Bet. Deal.”
Fight fans were quick to comment on the wager, with one saying: “Jake didn’t want Woodley to take the bet lol.”
Another said: “I feel like Jake didn’t expect him to take the bet lmao, he didn’t say a word after.”
Woodley lost his last four octagon outings but is confident of derailing the Paul hype train.

He said: “I bet I’m going to beat your ass.”
Woodley has never boxed as a professional but believes his clash with the younger Paul brother will be the ‘easiest fight’ of his life.
He told ESPN: “Easiest fight of my career & biggest purse of my career all in one night.
“Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash.
“Can’t wait to shut this b***h up.

Jake Paul reveals he has sent ‘sleepy’ Conor McGregor chain to Dustin Poirier with UFC star set to auction it to charity

JAKE PAUL has sent his ‘sleepy’ Conor McGregor chain to Dustin Poirier, who is set to auction it off for charity. Poirier in January knocked out McGregor, avenging his 2014 defeat, and Paul spent $100,000 on a diamond necklace of the beaten Irishman.

The lightweight rivals then looked to settle their trilogy at UFC 264, which YouTuber Paul attended.
But it ended in disaster for McGregor, who broke his tibia before the end of round one, leaving the doctor no choice but to stop the fight.
Afterwards, Paul offered to send his custom chain to Poirier, who is now going to sell it and donate the proceeds to charity.
“So the Conor chain is back at home right now, but Dustin Poirier sent me over his address, so we’re getting that over to him,” Paul said.
“And I think he’s going to auction it off for charity. So, somebody’s going to be able to get the Notorious Conor McGregor, sleepy McGregor chain.”
Paul, who is 3-0 as a boxer all by knockout, made the reveal in the press conference for his fight against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
The social media star, 24, faces Woodley, 39, on Sunday, August 29 in his hometown of Cleveland.
Paul has continued to chase a mega-money boxing match with McGregor, who lost his ring debut to Floyd Mayweather, 44, in 2017.

But the $50million offer he claimed to have had at the start of the year has now changed to just $23, he taunted.
And Paul followed up his goading by calling out McGregor, 32, once more when asked about a potential fight between the two.
He said: “I think it could happen, right? I think the funny thing about this journey is I’ve predicted everything that’s happened thus far.
“Eighteen months ago when I said I wanted to fight Conor, people laughed at me.
“Now, I’m laughing at Conor with a broken ankle, sitting there in the octagon. He needs Jake Paul more than I need him.
“So my offer to Conor is $23 and if we ever fought, I would knock those fake ass teeth right out of his f***ing mouth.”
Paul faces a longer wait to face McGregor, who underwent surgery and will be on crutches for six weeks while being handed a six month medical suspension.
But he and Poirier, 32, both have the backing of UFC boss Dana White for a FOURTH fight, after the unprecedented ending to their bitter trilogy bout.

Paulie Malignaggi calls out sparring rival Conor McGregor and says UFC star can only get more money against Jake Paul

PAULIE MALIGNAGGI offered Conor McGregor a winner-takes-all fight and said his sparring rival can only get more money against Jake Paul. Malignaggi has feuded with the Irishman ever since their infamous sparring sessions ahead of McGregor’s fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2017.
Paulie Malignaggi in his controversial 2017 sparring session with Conor McGregor
The American former two-weight world champion stormed out of McGregor’s camp after images and footage – including a disputed knockdown – were leaked.
Fast forward four years and Malignaggi, now 40, is still open to settling the score – so long as the winner is awarded all the money.
And he argued YouTuber Paul – who has continuously chased a fight with McGregor – is the only more lucrative option for the UFC legend.
Malignaggi told SiriusXMBoxing: “I mean, I wouldn’t put it past anything but I don’t think Conor McGregor is ever going to want to fight me.
“The only way that I’d fight Conor McGregor is if it’s winner-takes-all at this point.
“I wouldn’t fight Conor McGregor, there wouldn’t be any kind of negotiations it’s either winner-takes-all or we don’t fight.
“At this point he’s got everybody convinced he’s better and there’s more than enough money in the pot.
“He makes more money fighting me than anybody else other than maybe Jake Paul.

“So, I don’t see him taking that kind of deal, so there’s probably not going to be a fight.”
McGregor, 32, went on to lose his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather, 44, after sharing an eight-round and 12-round sparring session with Malignaggi.
He is yet to return to the ring, but was in talks to fight Manny Pacquiao, 42, last year before he faced Dustin Poirier, 32, in a rematch.
But in January Poirier knocked out McGregor, avenging his 2014 loss, which set them up with a trilogy bout at UFC 264.
McGregor was then beaten again after he suffered a broke tibia as the first round ended, leaving the doctor no choice but to stop the fight.
He has since undergone surgery and will be on crutches for the next six weeks while being handed a six month medical suspension.

And he starts preparations for it as a new man having gone bald by shaving his hair all off.
The moment he lost a game of rock, paper, scissors, and subsequently had his hair cut off was captured and posted online.
Usyk, 34, cryptically wrote on Instagram: “I’m coming for you.”
The slick southpaw became AJ’s mandatory after be moved up to heavyweight, per the WBO’s rules.
He beat American Chazz Witherspoon, 39, on his debut up in weight in 2019 and most recently beat Brit Derek Chisora, 37, over 12 rounds in October.
Joshua, 31, meanwhile has not fought since beating Kubrat Pulev, 40, in December by ninth-round knockout.
AJ was ordered by the WBO to face Usyk after his unification with Tyson Fury collapsed.

Wilder was later awarded the right to fight his heavyweight rival again, setting up a second rematch on July 24 in Las Vegas.

Tyson Fury ‘refused to get second Covid vaccination because he didn’t want to get sick ahead of Deontay Wilder trilogy’

The Gypsy King’s positive test result means his trilogy fight with the Bronze Bomber has been postponed.
The two rivals were due to get back into the ring on Saturday, July 24.
Now the Brit’s US promoter, Bob Arum, is hoping that it will be rearranged for October 9 with the Las Vegas T-Mobile Arena venue staying the same.
Arum also confirmed that Fury turned down his second vaccine dose because he did not want to risk falling ill just weeks before the original fight date.
Asked by BoxingScene.com about Fury having his second shot, Arum said: “He’s fine with it.
“He got vaccinated in Miami. He got the first shot.
“And then he said he didn’t wanna get the second shot because he didn’t wanna get sick [from the vaccination] so close to the fight. So, he got Covid instead.”
Arum had claimed Fury was fully-vaccinated during a press conference last month.
But he now admits he was mistaken due to a mix-up over the vaccine the Gypsy King received.

The Top Rank boss said: “I knew he had one shot, and I was hoping it was Johnson & Johnson. But it wasn’t. It was Moderna.”
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is deemed to be fully effective after just one dose.
Moderna, Pfizer and AstraZeneca all require a second jab.
However, Arum also doubts whether a second jab would have prevented the champ from catching coronavirus due to fully-vaccinated people still being able to contract the disease.
Arum added: “I don’t know if the second shot would’ve meant anything because you still can get Covid after getting the second shot.
“I don’t know if it would’ve made a difference, really. He still wouldn’t have been able to train with it.”
Arum also provided an update on Fury’s condition, saying: “His spirits were OK.
“He had congestion in his chest [last Thursday]. But as of [Monday] morning, he seems much better.”
Up to ten members of Fury’s camp tested positive for coronavirus.
The fighter is now expected to return to England for a few weeks before returning to the States to resume his training for the rescheduled Wilder bout.

But despite the getaway, AJ is still staying active by visiting Barnatt’s gym Marbella.
He uploaded a video hitting the pads with one of his coaches, Angel Fernandez, as they prepare to fight Usyk in September.
However, Joshua, 31, then switched it up by trying his hand at MMA, getting a striking masterclass from Barnatt, who last fought in December 2020.
AJ drilled kicks, one-two’s and most impressively flying knees, one of which Barnatt pretended knocked him out.
Joshua is not the only heavyweight boxer to have had MMA training, with Tyson Fury linking up with UFC middleweight Darren Till in 2019.
Fury once claimed he would entertain a switch to the UFC but only after retiring from boxing.
But more recently, he changed his mind and revealed he would only be up for fighting in smaller gloves, without any grappling involved.
Fury told talkSPORT: “No, I’ve got no real interest in grappling up and down on the floor and all that sort of stuff.

“I’m a stand-up fighting man, I don’t wrestle up and down and grab each other’s arms and sit on each other and all that.
“I’ve no interest in all that stuff – I like to stand up and fight so would I ever compete as an MMA fighter? Hell no!
“Would I compete with small gloves on in a cage in a fight? Yes. But no gripping and grappling.
“The noble art of standing up and what men have been doing for centuries. I don’t see any noble science in wrestling up and down the floor.”
UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, 34, has called out both Joshua and Fury before, having eyed a boxing career before his MMA debut.
