Fury has yet to speak on the Covid outbreak that ravaged his camp, although he did take to Twitter on Wednesday to thank fans who voted him as ESPN’s ‘Best Boxer’ of 2021.
In a Twitter video, he said: “Hey there, this is Tyson Fury, AKA The Gypsy King.
“I’d just like to thank everybody that for this year’s ESPY award, ESPN award.

Fury caught Covid after declining to get his second jab for fear of getting sick ahead of the fight.
The Gypsy King’s co-promoter Bob Arum said: “He’s fine with it.
“He got vaccinated in Miami. He got the first shot.
“And then he said he didn’t wanna get the second shot because he didn’t wanna get sick [from the vaccination] so close to the fight. So, he got Covid instead.”
It’s understood Fury vs Wilder III – which was due to take place at the T-Mobile Arena – is currently in the works for October.
Fan favourite Fury hasn’t set foot inside the ring since his emphatic dethroning of former WBC champ Wilder last February.

And co-promoter Frank Warren has lamented the Brit’s delayed return to the squared circle.
He told BT Sport: “It’s looking some time in October, which is a great shame it’s been postponed, but it is what it is.
“Unfortunately, they in the camp and himself got tested positive for Covid. There’s nothing we can do about it.
“It’s the times we live in, so the fight is postponed. Pushed back.
“Very frustrating. Really frustrating for Tyson.
“By the time he gets into the ring, he will have been out for nearly 20 months. That’s a long, long time.”

Logan Paul calls for Floyd Mayweather rematch, saying ‘I promise I’ll knock him out’ and ‘this time I finish him’

And to the shock of many Paul – who weighed TWO STONE more – took the boxing legend the full eight round distance.
Having avoided a knockout, no winner was declared, but Paul is confident he would become the first man to beat Mayweather if they rematched.
He said, per TMZ Sports: “Let me ask you what you’d rather see – Jake Paul vs Floyd or me vs Floyd again?
“Because, let me tell you something, if I fight Floyd again, I promise I’ll knock him out.
“I’ve got him figured out. I got it. At the end of the eighth round he was breathing heavy, I was coming alive.
“It’s gonna be a 10/12-round fight, if we run it back, and this time I finish him.”
Mayweather, 44, officially retired at 50-0 in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 33, in ten rounds.
He returned twice after, both in exhibitions, firstly against featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.

But after being taken the distance by Paul, Mayweather admitted he ‘probably’ would not make another return.
And talks to fight the YouTuber again have not taken place, despite his $100million pay day and 1million pay-per-view sales.
Paul, 26, said: “No, nothing’s happened, this is all just hypothetical bulls***.
“Hey Floyd, thanks for the opportunity, would love to run it back some time if you’re up for it champ?”

Jake Paul blasts ‘evil man’ Conor McGregor and says UFC star ‘had what was coming for him’ after horror leg break

But even as the Irishman laid down afterwards in a heated interview with Joe Rogan, he goaded Poirier and his wife Jolie.
Footage has also emerged of McGregor – who has been handed a six month medical suspension – making sick threats to the pair while still in the octagon.
It left Paul having little sympathy for the former two-weight UFC champion, who left the T-Mobile Arena on a stretcher before being hospitalised.
He told TMZ Sports: “He’s a piece of s***. He’s sitting there on the ground after losing, talking s*** to Dustin Poirier’s wife. I don’t feel bad at all.
“I think he’s an evil man, and he had what was coming for him.”
McGregor, 33, initially beat Poirier, 32, in 2014 but was knocked out in the rematch in January.
And after their trilogy decider ended in unprecedented fashion, the rivals, and UFC president Dana White, opened the door to a FOURTH fight.
Paul recently sent his $100,000 ‘sleepy’ McGregor chain to Poirier, who will now auction it off for charity.

The YouTuber made the reveal at the press conference for his fight with ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, on Sunday, August 29.
Paul was later asked about facing McGregor, and he taunted his previous $50million offer has now changed to just $23.
He said: “I think it could happen, right? I think the funny thing about this journey is I’ve predicted everything that’s happened thus far.
“Eighteen months ago when I said I wanted to fight Conor, people laughed at me.
“Now, I’m laughing at Conor with a broken ankle, sitting there in the octagon. He needs Jake Paul more than I need him.
“So my offer to Conor is $23 and if we ever fought, I would knock those fake ass teeth right out of his f***ing mouth.”

And it was backstage where the two met and subsequently smiled for a snap, which was posted online.
Paul, 24, was cageside to watch as McGregor, 32, suffered a horror leg break at the end of round one in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier, also 32.
He had hoped to build up to a mega-money boxing match against the Irishman, but now faces an even longer wait.
McGregor has since undergone surgery and will be on crutches for six weeks while being handed a six month medical suspension.
Paul now turns his attention to ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, who he fights on Sunday, August 29, in his hometown of Cleveland.
Woodley has been training for the fight, which will be his boxing debut, alongside Mayweather.
The boxing legend who officially retired after beating McGregor in 2017, recently returned to the ring in an exhibition but with Jake’s brother Logan.
And to the shock of many, the 44-year-old was unable to score a knockout in the eight rounds, meaning no winner was declared.

Beforehand, he offered Paul a ‘real fight’ but warned it would have to be under professional rules and at the 147lb welterweight limit.
That would mean the social media sensation – who usually fights at 190lb – cutting 43 pounds or THREE STONE.
    Paul said: “I don’t think it’ll happen.
“He said he wants me to cut down to 147 pounds, and then he’ll fight me. So, before he fought my brother, we were ‘fake fighters.’
“And now, he will only fight Jake Paul if I cut to 14 -pounds, which is physically impossible for me to cut that much.”

Anthony Joshua called out by Carlos Takam, who says ‘there is unfinished business’ after 2017 loss which ‘still hurts’

CARLOS TAKAM said he has ‘unfinished business’ with Anthony Joshua after his 2017 loss, which ‘still hurts’. Takam filled in on ten days notice four years ago to replace Kubrat Pulev, who pulled out injured.

And he lasted ten rounds in Cardiff, before the referee stopped the fight while the Cameroonian-born French heavyweight was still on his feet.
Takam has since fought five times – losing to only Derek Chisora – and faces Joe Joyce, 35, on his return on July 24.
But he has made it clear Joshua is still within his sights having also missed on a the chance to challenge Oleksandr Usyk.
Takam, 40, said: “The story between Joshua and me is not finished. There is unfinished business with Joshua. That fight still hurts me.
“I took that fight at ten days’ notice. The referee stopped the fight and I don’t know why. Nobody ever told me.
“I was also meant to fight Usyk twice, but it never happened and he didn’t want me.”
Joshua, 31, incidentally faces Usyk in his next fight in September in London, having been ordered to do so by the WBO.
Joyce was in line to meet the Ukrainian mandatory challenger, 34, for the WBO ‘interim’ title, while AJ and Tyson Fury unified the division.

But instead, Fury, 32, was ordered to fight Deontay Wilder, 35, in a trilogy bout after the American won their arbitration case.
It left Joshua forced to face Usyk, with Joyce’s road to the title also delayed.
He said: “I have had tough tests throughout my career so why stop?
“This is a great fight. Takam brings an all-action fight and it is going to be a good one. I want to give the fans what they want to see.
“This will lead on to some better fights, but I am not overlooking him.”

Jake Paul wants to become boxing WORLD CHAMPION and says he is BETTER than Canelo’s ex-opponent Billy Joe Saunders

JAKE PAUL wants to become a world champion and claimed he is BETTER than Billy Joe Saunders. The YouTube star, who is 3-0 all via knockout, made the astonishing remark having been quizzed on his recent callout of Canelo Alvarez.

Paul said at his press conference with Tyron Woodley that he aims to face Canelo within three years – and is even chasing a world title.
The American then doubled down when he insisted he is better than Canelo’s last two opponents, Saunders and Avni Yildirim.
Paul, 24, said: “If Billy Joe Saunders, who fights like a wild chicken, can go in there and get a payday and fight Canelo and last that many rounds.
“Or Yildirim, the ‘Turkish Warrior’ can go in there and last three rounds, nine minutes, Yildirim didn’t throw a f***ing punch.
“I’m a much better fighter than both of those boxers. I’m bigger, faster, more athletic.
“So if those guys can go in there and hang with Canelo, can Jake Paul in three years go 12 rounds with him and beat him? We’ll see.”
Paul faces ex-UFC champion Woodley, 39, on Sunday, August 29 in his fourth and most challenging fight to date.
So far, he has wins over only online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 36, a renowned grappler.

Saunders, 31, on the other hand is a two-weight world champion who also won bronze at the 2008 Olympics aged just 18.
But he is considering his career after Canelo, 30, caused him FOUR fractures in his face following an uppercut in round eight of their May fight.
Yildirim, 29, is yet to return since Mexican legend Alvarez made him quit after three rounds in February.
It has not stopped Paul, who is still hoping to fight ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 33, from targeting Canelo and boxing belts within three years.
He said: “I am the most impactful 3-0 boxer in history. No fighter has ever accomplished what I’ve accomplished after three fights.
“People say I don’t deserve it but I’m earning more than any fighter, three fights in.
“I haven’t been hit in the face in three fights. That’s a fact. That’s unheard of for a professional boxer.
“I want to add experience. I want to go after Canelo in three years. I want to be a world champion.”

Tyson Fury’s delayed trilogy with Deontay Wilder a ‘concern’ for Gypsy King after positive Covid test nixes July 24 bout

TYSON FURY will be more affected by the delay of his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder than his American foe, according to Carl Froch. The WBC heavyweight champion was forced to postpone his Las Vegas showdown with The Bronze Bomber after catching Covid-19.

A new date for the bout – which was due to take place a week on Sunday – has not been officially announced, although it is understood the pair’s third meeting will likely take place in October.
Fury and Wilder haven’t set foot inside the ring since their rematch last February, but former super-middleweight king Froch believes The Gypsy King will be more affected by the postponement.
The Cobra told Sky Sports: “I was really disappointed with the postponement because it’s a fight that I was looking forward to.
“Even though it seemed like it would be a one-sided fight for Fury, you can never ever just write any man off when he’s a huge puncher like Wilder.
“This delay is definitely going to hurt Fury more.
“They have both been out of the ring for the same amount of time, but Wilder is still going to be hungry, he’s got a point to prove.
“He’s been absolutely ridiculed and written off by loads of people. He’s been abused really on social media for a long time.
“I think Wilder is going to be like a man on fire, training for this fight, whereas Fury fought him the first time when he wasn’t in shape and still got a draw.

“Then in the rematch he absolutely battered him.
“It was a one-sided whooping, so Fury could be thinking, ‘Do I really need this?’
“He’ll know he can get knocked out by Wilder, so that will make him train hard, but I think this delay is more of a concern for Fury than it is for Wilder.”
Froch, 44, is still picking Fury to win his third encounter with the Olympic bronze medallist.
He added: “Based on that second performance that Fury put on against Wilder, the way in which he got his range and his distance,
“I just think he’s got Wilder’s number and should win again when the fight eventually happens.
“Fury used his height and reach and his weight advantage, and he’s a natural fighter.

“The only chance that Wilder has got is to clip him, if Fury is not focused.
“But I don’t think Fury will be switched off, so I would still pick Fury, possibly on points or even another stoppage.”
Fury registered a seventh-round TKO victory over Wilder in their last meeting but plans to better the impressive Sin City stoppage.
He said: “Deontay Wilder is a one-trick pony. He’s got one-punch power, we all know that – great.
“But what I’m going to do to Deontay Wilder this time is I’m going to run him over as if I’m an 18-wheeler and he’s a human being.
“I guarantee he does not go past where he did before [the seventh round].” More
