Tyson Fury is ‘vulnerable’ and Deontay Wilder has proven power to knock him out, says American’s coach Malik Scott

DEONTAY WILDER’s team are confident he’ll rip the WBC heavyweight title from the clutches of a ‘vulnerable’ Tyson Fury later this year. The Bronze Bomber will bid to reclaim the belt he lost to Fury last February in an October trilogy fight in Las Vegas.

Ahead of his third clash with The Gypsy King, Wilder, 35, has enlisted the help of old foe Malik Scott – who reckons the Brit has several holes in his game.
He told Sky Sports: “They both have the power to hurt each other.
“The difference is that Deontay has the power to knock you out.
“Fury is undefeated but is vulnerable. That won’t make sense to most humans.
“He is an unbeaten fighter but is very beatable. He gives you an opportunity to hit him.
“It is our job to take advantage of those opportunities. I believe Deontay will, and I believe he will knock Fury out in the trilogy.”
Scott’s confidence is shared by Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel.

Finkel said: “I definitely believe that Deontay is going to win his title back by knocking out Tyson Fury.”
Wilder and Fury were due to renew their rivalry a week tomorrow in Sin City before the Wythenshawe warrior contracted Covid-19.
Fury said of the delay: “I wanted nothing more than to smash the Big Dosser on July 24, but I guess the beating will have to wait.
“Make no mistake, I will be back and better than ever. We will fight October 9, and I will knock him spark out.”
Fury, 32, had previously vowed to run through Wilder like an ’18-wheeler’.
Last month, he said: “I gave my game plan away the first time because he wasn’t good enough to do anything about it.
“And I’ll do the same thing this time because he’s not good enough to do anything about it.

“Deontay Wilder is a one-trick pony. He’s got one-punch power, we all know that – great.
“But what I’m going to do to Deontay Wilder this time is I’m going to run him over as if I’m an 18-wheeler and he’s a human being.

Jake Paul calls out FOUR fighters including Conor McGregor and Tommy Fury as YouTuber says ‘I want all the smoke’

JAKE PAUL revealed his ‘long list of opponents’ to fight include Conor McGregor and Tommy Fury, as he said: ‘I want all the smoke’. The YouTuber is 3-0 in his career, all by knockout, and faces ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley next, on Sunday, August 29.

But Paul, 24, is already thinking ahead and is not short of confidence with plans to go after some of the biggest names in the fight game.
He said on Mike Majlak Vlogs: “I have a long list of opponents. The Furys, the McGregors, the Diazs, the Canelos.
    “I want all the smoke.”
Paul’s loft ambitions come ahead of his biggest challenge to date against Woodley, 39, who reigned as UFC welterweight king from 2016-2018.
Up until now, the social media star has faced limited opposition in online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 36, and Ben Askren, 36.
But he has beaten them all in brutal fashion and remains persistent in going after the UFC’s biggest stars.
Paul offered McGregor, 33, $50million in January before he was knocked out by Dustin Poirier, 32, in their rematch.
But after McGregor suffered a horror leg break in his trilogy bout with Poirier, Paul, who was cageside, put his offer down to just $23.

Diaz, 36, meanwhile has one fight left on his UFC deal, and his training partner confirmed to SunSport there is interest in fighting the celebrity.
But boxing’s pound-for-pound star Canelo, 30, has little time for Paul, who claimed he wanted to face the Mexican in just three years time.
He has held talks in the past with Fury, 22, the half-brother of unbeaten heavyweight champ Tyson, 32, who starred on Love Island in 2019.
But the fight appears to be shelved in order to let their rivalry build.

Mike Tyson predicts Manny Pacquiao will beat Errol Spence Jr as 42-year-old’s movement ‘f***s everybody up’

MIKE TYSON has backed Manny Pacquiao against Errol Spence Jr as the Filipino legend’s movement ‘f***s everybody up’. Pacquiao, who has won titles in EIGHT divisions, challenges for the WBC, IBF and Ring Magazine welterweight belts on August 21.

The 42-year-old, who is 11 years older, is the bookies underdog against unbeaten Spence, who has a size and youth advantage.
But heavyweight icon Tyson, who made a comeback last November, warned the southpaw great cannot be counted out to once again upset the odds.
He told ES News: “It’s going to be a good fight. You can’t rule out Pacquiao because he beat Thurman.
“I think Pacquiao, he beat Keith Thurman. Pac can move and s***, and that can mess you up, that’s what f***s everybody up, he’s all over the place.”
PacMan has not fought since July 2019, when he became the first man to ever beat Thurman, 32, and won the WBA belt in doing so.
But after such an extended period out amid the coronavirus pandemic, he was stripped of the title due to inactivity.
Cuban Yordenis Ugas, 35, was elevated from secondary ‘Regular’ champion to the full belt, leaving Pacquiao’s promotional team fuming with the WBA.
MP Promotions’ Sean Gibbons released an angry tirade via a press release slamming them.

It read: “I can tell you what Manny didn’t receive – DUE PROCESS AND RESPECT.
“It took two years to get the world title belt he earned inside the ring by beating the undefeated Super Champion Keith Thurman. Hell, Manny only received that belt on Saturday.
“The WBA never inquired about Manny’s title defense plans. The WBA never warned us Manny’s Super Champion status could be in jeopardy.
“The WBA never informed us that Manny had been designated its Champion in Recess.
“We had to read the WBA’s press release on that on the internet.
“And speaking of Keith Thurman, the WBA had no concern about his lack of activity when he went over 22 months between title defenses (Danny Garcia on March 4, 2017, and Josesito Lopez on January 26, 2019). Recess is over.”

JAKE PAUL revealed he is being paid ‘eight-figures’ for fights and blasted YouTube rival KSI by taunting: ‘He needs me more’. The American is 3-0 in his career, all by knockout, and faces ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley next on Sunday, August 29.

KSI in contrast is 1-0 with a win over Jake’s brother Logan in their 2019 rematch as professionals, having drawn in an exhibition a year prior.
The British star, 28, was on course to face Paul, 24, in a grudge match but revealed the coronavirus pandemic halted his boxing plans.
And while KSI has since focussed on his successful music career, his rival has climbed up the prizefighting ladder.
Paul said on Mike Majlak Vlogs: “He needs me more.
“I’m getting paid multiple eight figures for fights and he’s coming in and wants $3m-$4m. That was two to three years ago.
“And, he’s afraid, let’s be honest. He understands it, he admitted it in his YouTube video that I’m a better boxer.
“I wish him the best, he’s killing it in music, I have respect for him, it’s just over.”
KSI has not returned to the ring since his split-decision win over Logan, 26, but has recently launched a boxing promotional company.

The internet sensation has vowed to fight again and was embroiled in an online feud with yellow YouTuber Austin McBroom.
It came after McBroom, 29, beat TikToker Bryce Hall, 21, in an event which pitted the two social media apps against each other.
Paul has the best record of all his celebrity rivals having beaten KSI’s friend ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 36, and Ben Askren, 36.
But none were experienced boxers, with Woodley, 39, providing the toughest challenge of his boxing career.
Logan on the other hand recently went the distance with Floyd Mayweather, 44, in their eight-round exhibition.
It meant he technically avoided defeat without a KO scored, and has since opened the door to fighting heavyweight legend Mike Tyson, 55.

“There was evidence of a pre-existing heart condition we were all unaware of.
“While still very painful it is of some comfort that Sebastian died after having one of his favourite meals with one of his closest friends whilst doing his favorite thing at his favourite place in Dubai where he often went to swim.
“He was standing in the water close to shore watching the sunset at Cove Beach in Dubai.
“I am grateful that he was able to spend a few short and happy weeks with his son before his death.

    ‘HUGE LOSS’
Eubank Sr said his son had been working as a personal trainer and professional boxer.
Following in his fighter dad’s footsteps, Sebastian made his MMA debut last year.

“Can’t believe you’re really gone man but you’ll always be in my heart, mind & spirit.”

Tyson Fury tests negative for coronavirus and is cleared to return to UK before rescheduled Deontay Wilder bout

TYSON FURY has reportedly tested negative for Covid-19 and will return to the UK after his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder on July 24 was postponed. The Gypsy King was allegedly suffering with the disease but has now been given the all clear and will fight the Bronze Bomber on October 9.

Deontay Wilder, 35, wants to become a two-time champion by defeating the Gypsy KingCredit: AFP
According to journalist Dan Rafael, Fury has been given the all clear by his doctor to travel back to the UK after testing negative for Covid.
News of a Covid outbreak in the 32-year-old’s training camp broke earlier this month, delaying the bout until further notice.
Although Fury was expected to recover before the fight, he would have missed several days of crucial training – giving Wilder an unfair advantage.
The reigning WBC heavyweight champion is yet to confirm his positive Covid test and has not commented on his health since the news broke.
But he has promised to come back stronger when he meets Wilder in October for a third time.
Fury said: “I wanted nothing more than to smash the big dosser on July 24, but I guess the beating will have to wait.
“Make no mistake, I will be back and better than ever. We will fight October 9 – and I will knock him spark out!”
Should the October bout go ahead as planned, it will be Fury’s first fight in 19 MONTHS – stopping Wilder to win the WBC crown in February 2020.

Co-promoter Frank Warren has expressed his frustration at the Brit’s wait to return to the ring.
He told BT Sport: “It’s looking some time in October, which is a great shame it’s been postponed, but it is what it is.
“Unfortunately, they in the camp and himself got tested positive for Covid. There’s nothing we can do about it.
“It’s the times we live in, so the fight is postponed. Pushed back. Very frustrating. Really frustrating for Tyson.
“By the time he gets into the ring, he will have been out for nearly 20 months. That’s a long, long time.”

And Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum has revealed the boxer delayed having his second vaccine dose because he didn’t want to risk falling ill before the fight.
Arum said: “He got vaccinated in Miami. He got the first shot.
“And then he said he didn’t want to get the second shot because he didn’t want to get sick so close to the fight. So, he got Covid instead.”
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, meanwhile, believes Fury’s fight with Wilder was never going to happen in July due to low ticket sales.
He said: “They sold no tickets. Basically, you could go online and check… This was going to do very, very poor pay per view numbers.”

Manny Pacquiao claims love of boxing is behind Errol Spence Jr but his expenses are enormous

MANNY PACQUIAO, elected to the Philippines’ parliament five years ago with lofty ambitions to become president, is, like many politicians, economical with the truth.Hero-worshipped by 111million of his fellow citizens, the majority will believe the Pacman when he says it’s his passion for boxing that’s led to him taking on Errol Spence Jr next month.
Manny Pacquiao takes on Errol Spence Jr on August 21Credit: Rex
If the idealistic love of the sport is indeed the real reason why he is challenging the unbeaten Spence for his WBC and IBF world welterweight titles, he deserves universal admiration.
But the far more cynical view is that Pacquiao, despite the hundreds of millions he’s earned during his 26 years as a pro, is desperately in need of another huge pay cheque to help feed his extremely lavish lifestyle, gambling habit and over-generous philanthropy.
Otherwise why would a man of 42, whose skills started to decline long ago, who hasn’t fought for two years, make the dangerous decision to risk his health against Spence, 11 years his junior and rated one of the top four fighters on the planet?
Pacquiao’s day-to-day expenses are enormous.  The father of five has five estates in the Philippines, including a 14-bed beachside mansion.
He also owns two houses in America — one in Beverly Hills — and a fleet of 22 luxury cars.
But the senator, who knew abject poverty as a child, has given most of his fortune away to the needy.
A few years ago he financed the cost of 1,000 houses he had built for his home-town poor.
He is said to be worth £300million but he will need every penny if he is going to be able to keep up with the Money Mayweathers of this world.

Pacquiao was paid £8m for his last fight when, surprisingly, he outpointed the previously unbeaten Keith Thurman and is expected to get much more for his clash with Spence.
When Pacquiao climbs through the ropes in five weeks it will be  his 72nd fight and 25th world championship contest.
He has beaten 22 world champions and except for Mayweather, he’s defeated all his contemporaries including all-time greats Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Marco Antonio Barrera.
But he is under no illusions about the huge task he has set himself, which is why he started training and sparring two weeks earlier than usual.
Pacman hasn’t met a southpaw for 13 years and admits he doesn’t underestimate Spence, the 4-9 favourite who has won 21 of his 27 fights by KO.
Watching a Fox TV promo this week, the OTT presenter described the Pacquiao-Spence confrontation as Shakespearian.
Will wrote a few tragedies. I just hope we don’t see one on August 21.
