Watch Floyd Mayweather, 44, show off speed on the pads as boxing legend enjoys ‘light work out’ around Logan Paul fight

FLOYD MAYWEATHER reminded fans of his legendary hand speed as he enjoyed a ‘light work out’ on the pads. The boxing legend released a video on Instagram training with coach Gerald Tucker firing off his iconic combinations on the mitts.

It is not known whether the video was taken before or after Mayweather’s exhibition with Logan Paul on June 6.
Since then, he has taken a trip to Miami and did link up with pop star Usher in Las Vegas, where the training clip was recorded.
Mayweather, 44, is enjoying retirement having returned to the ring against YouTuber Paul, 26, who weighed TWO STONE more.
And the social media star walked away with a moral victory after surviving all eight rounds, avoiding a knockout defeat.
It fuelled Paul with so much confidence, he called for a rematch with Mayweather – and promised a knockout win.
He said last month, per TMZ Sports: “Let me ask you what you’d rather see – Jake Paul vs Floyd or me vs Floyd again?
    LOGAN PAUL CALLS FOR REMATCH
“Because, let me tell you something, if I fight Floyd again, I promise I’ll knock him out.
“I’ve got him figured out. I got it. At the end of the eighth round he was breathing heavy, I was coming alive.
“It’s gonna be a 10/12-round fight, if we run it back, and this time I finish him.”
Mayweather officially retired at 50-0 in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 33, in ten rounds.
He returned twice after, both in exhibitions, firstly against featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.
But after being taken the distance by Paul, Mayweather admitted he ‘probably’ would not make another return.

And talks to fight the YouTuber again have not taken place, despite his $100million pay day and 1million pay-per-view sales.
Paul said: “No, nothing’s happened, this is all just hypothetical bulls***.
“Hey Floyd, thanks for the opportunity, would love to run it back some time if you’re up for it champ?”

Watch Anthony Joshua show off immense power as Brit star DESTROYS medicine ball while training for Oleksandr Usyk fight

ANTHONY JOSHUA showed off his immense power in training for his fight with Oleksandr Usyk by virtually destroying a medicine ball. The unified heavyweight champion defends his crown against mandatory challenger Usyk on September 25 at Tottenham’s stadium.
Anthony Joshua has got the ball rolling in training to fight Oleksandr Usyk
Anthony Joshua uploaded a video throwing a medicine ball against the wall
AJ has started his camp in Team GB’s Sheffield HQ and got to work with some power drills.
Joshua uploaded a video throwing a medicine ball against the wall, working on his explosiveness.
The Brit, 32, will take in a size advantage against ex-cruiserweight king Usyk, 34, despite the Ukrainian piling on the pounds.
It will be only Usyk’s third fight at heavyweight, having beat Chazz Witherspoon, 39, in 2019, and then Derek Chisora, 37, a year later.
Since the win over Chisora on points, he has been bulking up and recently scaled 16st 4lb in an online video.
That is still almost a stone lighter than AJ, who weighed in at 17st 2lb for his last win against Kubrat Pulev, 40, in December 2019.
‘AJ’S A DIFFERENT KIND OF BEAST’
Promoter Eddie Hearn told talkSPORT: “I think that Usyk will never be a fully fledged heavyweight – a real heavyweight in terms of size.
“But what he will always have is a huge amount of skill.
“It takes time for people to bed into heavyweight, so put it this way, it would’ve been a lot easier fight for AJ a year-and-a-half ago.
“Now Usyk has fought a real heavyweight contender in Chisora, that will actually help him to start to understand what needs to be done.
“But AJ’s a different kind of beast. A good big guy will always beat a good small guy, so we’ll see.”
DREAM TEAM IS BACK! SIGN UP NOW FOR THE 21/22 SEASON FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN £100,000

Joshua was only ordered to fight Usyk by the WBO after his all-British unification bout with Tyson Fury collapsed.
Fury, 32, was instead made to face Deontay Wilder, 35, once again after the American won his right to a trilogy bout in arbitration.
It leaves AJ waiting even longer for his shot at heavyweight supremacy, but he warned Usyk poses just as much of a threat as anyone else.

Strongman Hall is recovering from surgery last month
Fans on both Instagram and Twitter have wished Hall well, and want to see him back as soon as possible.
One replied to Hall’s tweet saying: “Congrats big man I just had brain surgery 8 days ago … on the recovery train too.”
While another questioned why Hall isn’t in Tokyo competing for Team GB in weightlifting.
The fan said: “Why aren’t you weightlifting at the Olympics for Team GB?
“Genuine question cos you’d almost be guaranteed the Gold surely?”
The Strongman-turned-boxer was set to face Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson in an exhibition bout, but it has been delayed due to Hall’s injury.
Hall explained how he caused the detachment by throwing a “lazy left hook” while in training.
He said on Instagram: “Little bit of bad news. On Monday I threw a bit of a lazy left hook in training and detached my bicep.
I’m doing everything I can to recover as quickly as I can and I’m looking forward to getting back to training. I’m most looking forward to ripping Thor’s face off.Eddie Hall
“Good news is I had the surgery on Thursday, it was a complete success. The bicep’s reattached I’m able move it already, even after two days.
“Bad news is the fight is going to have to be delayed, it won’t be going ahead on September 18.
“I’m doing everything I can to recover as quickly as I can and I’m looking forward to getting back to training. I’m most looking forward to ripping Thor’s face off.”
Thor also expressed his disappointment in the fight being delayed in a statement.
He said: “Super disappointed but this is not in my hands.

But it appears Hall is well and truly on the road to recovery as he got back to work hitting the speed ball with his left arm.
And the fight being dubbed ‘The Heaviest Boxing Match in History’ will take place at a later date.

Tyson Fury sends message to ‘big sausage’ Deontay Wilder as he returns to gym for training after coronavirus scare

TYSON FURY hit out at ‘big sausage’ Deontay Wilder as he returned to the gym for training after his coronavirus scare. Fury was due to face Wilder in a trilogy bout in Las Vegas on July 24 before he and his team members tested positive for Covid-19.

The rematch has instead been moved to October 9 and the Gypsy King flew back to the UK to re-start his camp, this time with extra precaution.
And in a video posted online, Fury addressed his heavyweight rival and sent out a fierce warning.
He said: “Another morning in the gym. I’m coming for the big dosser, the big useless dosser, the excuse maker.
“The big man who is not of (inaudible), you big sausage. You big s***house.”
Fellow heavyweight Dillian Whyte saw the post and shared it with the simple caption: “You are a w*****.”
Fury, 32, drew with Wilder, 35, in 2018 but brilliantly won the rematch two years later.
It included a contracted trilogy, which he tried to walk away from after believing the stipulation expired and allowed him to face Anthony Joshua, 31.
But after Wilder took the dispute to arbitration, he was awarded the verdict, setting up the rivals for another fight.
Dillian Whyte was not impressed and shared his displeasure online
    ‘EXCUSE MAKER’
In between the loss and mediation hearing, the American blamed his loss on wild accusations and excuses, made without evidence.
That included Fury having WEIGHTS in his gloves and even Wilder’s water being spiked.
The WBC champion again blasted the Bronze Bomber and his head trainer Malik Scott, 40.
Fury posted on social media: “This man is a real piece of work. A real bully excuse maker. Not a warrior or a man at all. Beat the mug 2 times.
“I’ve battered him and his trainer. But still talking s***. Real p*****s.”
The feud only worsened after Wilder’s partner Telli Swift questioned Fury for pulling out of the fight and blasted that the Brit was ‘buying time’.
He protested his innocence and said sparring partners coming in and out of his camp would be to blame for catching the virus.
“We do know that he wasn’t doing too well in the gym, but not enough to call the fight off.Michael Hunter on Tyson Fury
Fury also said he will reduce his team to just four team members this time around in order to take extra precaution.
The unbeaten star had been preparing Stateside and heavyweight contender Hunter was among the names to have been in the camp.
But the American cast doubt over Fury’s withdrawal and even said the training camp was not going to plan.
Hunter, 33, told FightHype: “We do know that he wasn’t doing too well in the gym, but not enough to call the fight off.
“To me, it was kind of funny because, on the first day, they said, ‘Somebody on this team got Covid’.
“And them the next thing we heard was Tyson got Covid. So I thought that was a little fishy.”

Despite the comments made by Hunter, who lost to Fury in the amateur ranks, he still backed his former opponent to come up trumps again.
He said: “I’m leaning more towards Fury.
“He got a draw in the first fight, which he just got off the couch in his first fight back. Then he won the second fight.”

Jake Paul reveals dream of becoming WORLD CHAMPION to prove doubters wrong who said YouTuber ‘wasn’t a real fighter’

JAKE PAUL revealed he wants to become a WORLD CHAMPION to prove doubters wrong who said he ‘wasn’t a real fighter’. The YouTuber is 3-0 in his career all by knockout but has so far faced favourable opposition.
Jake Paul revealed he wants to become a world champion
He has beaten internet rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and most recently retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
But Paul, 24, faces a step up in class on his return to the ring against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, on Sunday, August 29.
He headlines with Woodley in his home of Cleveland and recently spoke to former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic, 38, also from Ohio.
And it was on Miocic’s podcast where Paul mapped out lofty ambitions of winning world honours in the ring, despite not yet facing a seasoned boxer.
He said: “I want to become world champ.
“Just because – I don’t necessarily want the belt, but I just want to be like ‘Yeah, people said I wasn’t a real fighter and then I became a world champion’.
“What can they say now? Isn’t it crazy how fickle the audience is, it’s so weird.”
Paul knocked out renowned grappler and limited striker Askren – a training partner of Woodley’s – in the first round in April.
And it left Miocic, who won the Golden Gloves in the amateurs, impressed with the social media sensation.

Ben Whittaker met Floyd Mayweather in 2017 and mentioned he was aiming for Olympic gold. Mayweather said: “When are you turn pro? After the Olympics? Oh Hell no. Lopez, 28, is looking to win back-to-back gold medals in the Games after scooping the top prize in the middleweight division in Rio 2016.
But he knows he will have to be at his best to beat Midlands supremo Whittaker, who won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships.
And in a clip that has emerged from 2017, American boxing legend Mayweather urged then-middleweight Whittaker to enter the paid ranks after Anthony Joshua introduced the pair.
In a video posed by FightHype, Joshua can be seen telling Mayweather: “This guy here, this is Ben Whittaker. The future.
“Olympic fighter right now, but I swear to you, this guy here, he’s the creme de la creme.”
Mayweather then asked Whittaker: “When are you turning pro?”
To which Whittaker said: “After the Olympics.”
A shocked Mayweather, who won the bronze medal at the 1996 Games, then remarked: “Oh hell no! Trophies don’t do nothing but collect dust.”

And speaking to the Daily Star, Whittaker has stated that winning a gold medal would put him in good stead for the future.
Commenting on his meeting with the 15-time world champion, he said: “He told me waiting for the Olympics is a waste, and that all medals do is catch dust.
“But he was kind of lying cos he did it himself.
“The medal might catch dust but it opened a lot of doors for him. It will do the same for me.”
Before adding: “I went to the worlds and got a bronze but if it wasn’t gold then it doesn’t matter.
