Floyd Mayweather shows off stunning £7m Las Vegas mansion as boxing icon relaxes at ‘one of my many homes’

FLOYD MAYWEATHER showed off his stunning £7million Las Vegas mansion as the boxing icon boasted it was ‘one of my many homes’. Mayweather – who in 2019 topped Forbes’ rich list of the decade with £706m earned – has been a Vegas resident since he made his pro debut at 19.

In the period since, he carved out a record-breaking 50-0 career, before officially retiring in 2017 after beating UFC superstar Conor McGregor, 33.
Mayweather’s career as the pay-per-view king has afforded him luxuries beyond belief, including massive car and watch collections.
But real estate and property is another of his business investments outside of boxing.
Mayweather’s Vegas mansion boasts 11 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a gym.
He recently showed off his mansion as he stood in his dressing gown next to a massive fountain and posted: “At one of my many homes living a peaceful life.”
And he also posted a video of himself swimming in his outdoor pool, enjoying the retired life.
He has done since 2017, when he officially hung up the gloves after beating UFC superstar Conor McGregor, 33.
But Mayweather – nicknamed Money – has always reaffirmed that he is not retired from making money.
And that is why he returned in 2018 for an exhibition with featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan, which he said earned him £7m.

Then, three years on, Mayweather agreed a bizarre exhibition with YouTuber Logan Paul.
Paul, 26, weighed TWO STONE heavier by the time he surprisingly survived all eight rounds in June.
But Mayweather appeared unbothered, continuing to boast about the £72m ($100m) he was paid for the ‘legalised bank robbery’.

Anthony Joshua told he can’t ‘sit off’ Oleksandr Usyk and must ‘impose his strengths’ to preserve Tyson Fury fight

ANTHONY JOSHUA has been urged not to ‘sit off’ and allow Oleksandr Usyk time and space in their Tottenham tussle. The Watford warrior will defend his unified heavyweight titles against the former undisputed cruiserweight king at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 25.

Usyk’s footwork and ability to glide in and out of range will be Joshua’s two biggest problems on fight night, which the recently-retired Luke Campbell reckons AJ can offset by putting the slick southpaw on the backfoot.
He told The Mirror: “I think it is a great fight, Usyk is an unbelievable talent.
“His technique and boxing IQ is certainly up there with the best, but is he a heavyweight?
“I don’t think he is quite a heavyweight to be honest, this is where Joshua has the advantage.
“Joshua has got quick hands, and is a big strong heavyweight so if he imposes his strengths I think he will win the fight.
“If he sits off it could be Usyk’s night, and I can’t see Usyk wanting to get involved in a big strong heavyweight like Joshua. So his tactics will mostly be to make him miss, move around.
“Joshua has to put it on him.”
Usyk has put on a considerable amount of size since moving up to heavyweight in October 2019.
If he imposes his strengths I think he will win the fightLuke Campbell on Anthony Joshua’s clash with Oleksandr Usyk
But promoter Eddie Hearn believes the Cat will never be a true heavyweight, telling talkSPORT: “I think that Usyk will never be a fully-fledged heavyweight – a real heavyweight in terms of size.
“What he will always have is a huge amount of skill.
“It takes time for people to bed into heavyweight, so put it this way, it would’ve been a lot easier fight for AJ a year-and-a-half ago.
“Now Usyk has fought a real heavyweight contender in Chisora, that will actually help him to start to understand what needs to be done.
“But AJ’s a different kind of beast. A good big guy will always beat a good small guy, so we’ll see.”
Victory over Usyk will see Joshua, 32, do his part to preserve a blockbuster undisputed heavyweight title fight with Tyson Fury, which was due to take place in Saudi Arabia next Saturday.
AJ is relishing the clash with his fellow Olympian, saying: “The date is set and we are fully locked in.
“September 25, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, I put it all on the line again and it’s time to defend my crown.
BETTING SPECIAL – GET LEICESTER AT 60/1 OR MAN CITY AT 30/1

“We are two Olympic gold medallists who have fought our way to the top and never avoided challenges.
“The stadium is exceptional, the atmosphere will be electric, I’m honoured to be the first person to fight in such an awe-inspiring venue.
“The stage is set and I am ready to handle business.”

Floyd Mayweather ‘knew he looked old’ in Logan Paul fight but YouTuber ‘did a good job’, says UFC boss Dana White

UFC boss Dana White said Floyd Mayweather ‘knew he looked old’ against Logan Paul, but the YouTuber ‘did a good job’. Mayweather came out of retirement in June for an exhibition bout against Paul, who was TWO STONE heavier.

And amazingly the social media star, who had boxed just twice beforehand, survived all eight rounds, technically avoiding defeat.
Mayweather, 44, had officially retired as a professional in 2017, beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 33, in a fight White helped promote.
But the UFC president, who has had a long friendship with the boxing legend, admitted his age showed against Paul, 18 years his junior.
White told Nelk Boys: “Have you ever met Floyd Mayweather in person? He’s f***ing tiny, man.
“He’s tiny, and Logan’s f***ing big, too. But, I thought he did a good job tying Floyd up, not letting Floyd get off when he was.
“And Floyd looked old that night, too. And I think Floyd knew he looked old that night.”
He’s fighting with a YouTuber just to earn money. And I’m fighting the best to add to my legacy, so that’s different. Manny Pacquiao on Floyd Mayweather
Mayweather, who had not boxed since a 2018 exhibition with featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, was also hit with criticism by Manny Pacquiao.
Pacquiao, 42, lost to the American in 2015 but is still fighting the best in the business, challenging for Errol Spence Jr’s welterweight titles on August 21.
And he recently said: “He’s fighting with a YouTuber just to earn money. And I’m fighting the best to add to my legacy, so that’s different.
“To fight an easy opponent for the money or to fight one of the best to add to your legacy. It’s different.

“I can easily pick an easy win, but I pick the best because I want to add more to my legacy of accomplishment.
“It’s a challenge, especially because he’s taller than me. We have a strategy that we can use against a southpaw.

Tommy Fury branded a ‘disrespect’ to boxing by rival who says ‘only reason his name in mentioned’ is because of Tyson

TOMMY FURY was branded a ‘disrespect’ to boxing by his next opponent, who said ‘the only reason his name in mentioned’ is because of brother Tyson. Fury faces MMA fighter Anthony Taylor on August 29, marking his US debut.

He comes into the fight 6-0, but has so far faced only journeyman opposition as he learns his trade between the ropes.
His record was mocked by Taylor, a sparring partner of Fury’s online rival Jake Paul, who headlines at the end of the month against Tyron Woodley.
Taylor, 32, told Sky Sports: “I think it’s a disrespect to the sport, in my eyes and to many people’s eyes that understand boxing.
“He’s not a boxer. A boxer does not fight guys with ten wins and 126 losses. I can see if he fought a guy that was 1-2, 2-1, 3-3, 4-5, OK, 7-4.
“I can see if you fought those type of opponents with those records, then people can say, ‘OK, you’re actually not bad’.
“You don’t see a Ryan Garcia fighting guys on his debut with 0 wins and 26 losses. We don’t see Ryan Garcia fight a guy that’s, OK four wins eight losses.
“OK, let’s see, two wins, one loss, third fight, ten wins, five losses.
I think it’s a disrespect to the sport, in my eyes and to many people’s eyes that understand boxing. Anthony Taylor on Tommy Fury’s boxing record
“You don’t see that calibre of fighters but the fact they’re building him up, look at those type of fighters and you tell me if I can’t beat both fighters that he beat up already.”
Incidentally, lightweight sensation Garcia, the fighter Taylor references, boxed an opponent with ZERO fights on his debut.
And in his two bouts following, the now-21-year-old’s opponents had a combined record of five losses, one draw and no wins.
But Taylor also hit out at Fury – who shot to fame after featuring on reality TV show Love Island in 2019 – for having a champion brother in Tyson.
He said: “The only reason why Tommy Fury is on this card or his name is even mentioned is because of Tyson.”
Tyson, 32, was actually the man to start the online feud between Fury, 22, and Paul, 24, after he called on the YouTuber to fight his younger brother.
Instead, Fury has signed a two-fight deal with Paul’s TV network Showtime Stateside and the pair share the same card.

If both win, it sets up an expected pay-per-view fight between the pair.
But Paul, who is 3-0 all by knockout, faces his biggest step up against ex-UFC champion Woodley, 39.
So far he has only beaten YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.

UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals to Mike Tyson why he turned down $100m Floyd Mayweather fight

UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov turned down a $100million offer to face Floyd Mayweather and told Mike Tyson: ‘I never fight for money’. Nurmagomedov retired in October in the first bout after the death of his influential father and coach Abdulmanap, who passed away in July.

He has since snubbed a UFC comeback and even the massive purse to face boxing legend Mayweather in the Middle East.
Nurmagomedov, the former unbeaten UFC lightweight champion, hinted no amount of money could prise him back.
He said on Tyson’s podcast: “I don’t wanna make boxing community upset with me.
“Of course money makes sense too. But I never fight for money. Money is good, but most of the time it is bad.
“Money brings you to the situation that you have never been, and you don’t know how to act when you have so much money.
“It is a little bit dangerous. In this business, I don’t come to make money. I come here for legacy.”
Nurmagomedov, 32, hung up the gloves immediately after beating Justin Gaethje, also 32, and revealed the decision was made by his mother.
The Russian star has been offered a lucrative return to face Georges St-Pierre, 40, who was his father’s dream fight.
Money brings you to the situation that you have never been, and you don’t know how to act when you have so much money.Khabib Nurmagomedov
But not even that could tempt Khabib into changing his mind.
Mayweather, 44, did start talks with Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz and UFC president Dana White was said to be on board.
Abdelaziz said to Tyson: “Listen, we got offered $100million to fight Floyd Mayweather. Dana White was on board, everybody was on board.
“But, you know, Khabib is an MMA fighter. If Floyd wanted to come to fight, get his little ass whooped, no problem.”
Mayweather, 44, retired officially in 2017 after beating Khabib’s arch rival Conor McGregor, 33, in a fight White helped promote.
The American great has returned twice since, both in exhibition bouts, starting against featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018.
But even more surprisingly, he came out of retirement for a pay-per-view spectacle against YouTuber Logan Paul, 26, who weighed TWO STONE more.

Galal, 28, responded: “Did you see that? Was it a good fight?”

Light-heavyweight Ben Whittaker, 24, and welterweight Pat McCormack, 26, were both reduced to silver having been beaten by Cubans in the final.

But in a simply stunning turn of events, he turned the fight on its head with an explosive and expertly timed combination.
Khyzniaka pushed Sousa back into a neutral corner and looked to throw a right hand over the top.
But Sousa had the same idea, and followed it up with a lightening left hook, which closed the show in empathic fashion.
Khyzhniak, the hot favourite with European and World gold medals to his name, bravely made it back to his feet.
But it was not enough to save his hopes Olympic title hopes, as the referee waved off the contest.
It provided Sousa with a remarkable comeback win in one of the most dramatic finals in Olympic boxing history.
Shortly beforehand, British flyweight Galal Yafai secured Team GB’s first boxing gold as he brilliantly beat Filipino Carlo Paalam on points.
Yafai, 28, told the BBC: “It’s something I’ve always want to do, to be Olympic champion. Now I’m Olympic champion and I’m over the moon.

Brilliant Galal Yafai wins boxing gold for Team GB with dominant win over Filipino rival in Tokyo 2020 final

The 28-year-old – who quit work at the Land Rover firm in the Midlands to pursue the noble art – was ahead on four of the five judges’ scorecards and has now joined the showroom of British boxing champions.
The lucrative professional route will be his next target even though the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 12 months’ time would normally have been an appealing proposition, especially as he won gold at light flyweight on the Gold Coast in 2018.
Paalam started quickly and connected well with his early punches but was caught and knocked down by a brilliant left-hander from Yafai halfway through the first round.
In the second round, Paalam was warned by the referee for the use of his head and from there on it was Yafai’s fight to lose.
All Yafai had to do was stay out of trouble in the final round and remain on his feet for the 180 seconds.
And Yafai, whose family have a British-Yemen heritage, did just that to secure finally a boxing medal for his family after 13 years of trying.
Yalai is the first Brit to win in the flyweight division since Terry Spinks at the 1956 Melbourne Games.
The Brit, who was well beaten in his first bout of the Rio 2016 Games, watched on TV as sibling Kal lost to a difficult Cuban in the Last 16 of the flyweight competition at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Kal has since become the WBA super flyweight world champion, and he tweeted his delight at his brother’s victory, saying: “Alhumdililah!!! My brother Galal Olympic champion!!! I’m lost for words!!! Olympic champion!!!! Olympic champion!!!!”
And speaking after securing gold Yafai told the BBC: “It’s something I’ve always want to do, to be Olympic champion. Now I’m Olympic champion and I’m over the moon.
“I’ve worked hard, took up boxing and thank God it’s worked out for me.
“I bet they’re over the moon all my friends and family. The support I’ve had from back home has been ridiculous.

This result means Britain have won at least one gold medal at four successive Olympics, a credit to head coach Rob McCracken who took over 11 years ago.
Lauren Price, a former South Wales taxi driver, should double that tally when she faces China’s Li Qian tomorrow on the final day of the competition.
The middleweight boxer has been tipped to win gold even before she set foot in the Far East.
Whatever happens from now on, the British boxing camp will return to the UK shores in the next 48 hours with six medals – a record for an overseas Games, and one that eclipses the five won at the London 2012 Games.
