Jake Paul shows off 13-man ‘hit-list’ with Conor McGregor, Tommy Fury and his own brother Logan Paul named

JAKE PAUL revealed his 13-man boxing ‘hit-list’ which includes Conor McGregor, Tommy Fury and his own brother Logan Paul. The YouTube sensation already has online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren ticked off.
    Jake Paul’s boxing ‘hit-list’
Jake Paul names his boxing ‘hit-list’
And Paul will look to add to that on August 29, in his fourth and toughest fight to date against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
He took to Instagram to then add, Canelo Alvarez, Nate Diaz or Nick DiazKamaru Usman, Fury, McGregor, KSI, Gervonta Davis and brother Logan.
Speaking to SunSport days before the social media post, Paul revealed the list grows after each fight, and has some unnamed rivals yet to be included.
He said: “It sort of changes and moulds as I go fight by fight.
“But I guess, Canelo Alvarez, Kamaru Usman, Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, you know, KSI will always be on that list, be who knows what will happen there.
“Tommy Fury’s on that list, I feel like I’m forgetting names but there’s some fighters I’m thinking of right now that I don’t even want to mention as it’s not worth giving them the clout to.
“I think after this fight, I’m going to go back to the drawing board and re-up the list and actually write it down, that’s a good idea.”

Paul, 24, did go back to the drawing board – quite literally a white one – as he listed his dream opponents.
    Canelo, 31, is boxing’s current pound-for-pound No1 and a four-weight champion.
But the Mexican legend should never be in the ring with anyone not of championship calibre.
Brothers Nate, 36, and Nick, 37, are both veterans of the UFC who have hinted at crossing over to the boxing ring before.
SunSport understands with Nate left with just one fight on his UFC contract, talks with Paul’s camp have taken place.
So too had Usman, 34, but a deal is unlikely to be agreed with the UFC welterweight champion one of the promotion’s leading stars.
For the same reason it makes any negotiations with McGregor, 33, difficult, with the Irishman refusing to even acknowledge Paul.
    ROAD TO FURY
One man who is though is Fury, 22, brother to heavyweight champion Tyson, 33.
The 6-0 light-heavyweight had feuded with Paul online and even signed a two-fight deal with the American’s broadcasters Showtime.
Fury will feature on his rival’s undercard this month and a win for both is expected to line them up with a pay-per-view fight of their own.
Also on the list is YouTube foe KSI, 28, who beat Paul’s brother Logan, 26, in 2019 by spilt-decision.
But the Brit is yet to return to the ring, with a grudge match between the two growing less likely.
A surprise name mentioned was Gervonta Davis, 26, who is still a super-featherweight champion.
The end-game now is to become a world champion, just to say I did it because everyone said I couldn’t.Jake Paul
That means Paul is FOUR STONE heavier Davis, a protege of Floyd Mayweather’s.
And lastly both the Paul brothers have talked up a fight between them, despite their parents opposing the idea.
Paul explained his A-list of opponents is all part of his masterplan to eventually upset the odds and become an unlikely world champion.
He said: “The end-game now is to become a world champion, just to say I did it because everyone said I couldn’t.
“To get a world championship belt and to make history and leave an everlasting impact on this sport, create amazing events, and cards and fights that people remember forever.
    “And to retire on top.”

Oscar De La Hoya says ‘I really believe’ Jake Paul can become WORLD CHAMPION and backs YouTuber to ‘change boxing’

OSCAR DE LA HOYA has backed Jake Paul to become WORLD CHAMPION and said: ‘I really believe that he can’. The American legend also tipped YouTube star Paul to ‘change boxing’ for the better with his ability to draw new eyeballs to the sport.

Oscar De La Hoya said Jake Paul can ‘change boxing’ for the betterCredit: Getty
De La Hoya is a hero of the social media sensation and has even offered his support and advice behind the scenes.
The former six-division champ and Olympic gold medalist has been vocal in supporting Paul, who he believes can sensationally go all the way in boxing.
De La Hoya, 48, told SunSport: “I admire him for his courage.
“I admire him for just being so adamant about becoming world champion and I see the talent in him.
“I strongly feel that he’s set in his heart that he can become world champion and I really believe that he can.
“He does have skill, he doesn’t have the experience that people might be criticising him about, but that’s going to happen in time.
“He happens to have a lot of followers, therefore he has a lot of criticism but that comes with the territory.”

Paul, 24, only turned professional in January 2020 with just one boxing exhibition to his name.
He quickly raced to 3-0 all by knockout with wins over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC fighter Ben Askren, also 37.
Paul now faces his biggest step up to date on Sunday night in Tyron Woodley, 39, who is a former UFC welterweight champion.
The American is still widely untested in the ring but has been a huge box office hit, with his two most recent wins selling over 3m pay-per-views combined.
And despite heavy criticism of his opposition, De La Hoya has called for patience with Paul, who is bringing numbers back to boxing.
He said: “One thing about me, he’s been attracting a whole new fanbase which is very admirable, no one has ever been able to do that.
“So we must embrace it as a boxing community, we must not be so negative.
I strongly feel that he’s set in his heart that he can become world champion and I really believe that he can. Oscar De La Hoya on Jake Paul
“Jake Paul’s a fighter who can open up a lot of doors, who can change boxing, who can just attract the masses on a global level.
“So I’m his fan, 1,000 per cent and I’m looking forward to do something with him for the sake of the sport.”
De La Hoya retired 13 years ago after a brutal loss to Manny Pacquiao, who is still fighting aged 42.
But he last year announced a shock comeback having been inspired by heavyweight icon Mike Tyson, 55, who is November returned to the ring.
De La Hoya will follow suit on September against Vitor Belfort, 44, who like Paul’s next opponent Woodley formerly held a UFC title.
The Golden Boy has kept a keen interest on Paul’s fight with Woodley and broke down their differing styles.
De La Hoya said: “Woodley I can see has been working hard.
How Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley compare ahead of their boxing match
“He has a great trainer but a difference I see with Woodley and Jake is just the punches, the angles, the power.
“They’re going to be in great shape, Woodley feels incredible, he feels amazing but me as a fighter, as an expert, I can see where the punches are coming for, the angles.
“I just feel that Jake has better discipline when throwing the punches, so that could be the difference there.”

Tommy Fury shares Instagram DM from Anthony Taylor APOLOGISING for dragging Love Island girlfriend Molly-Mae into feud

Paul, 24, headlines the bill against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39 and has been in talks to fight Fury afterwards.
It came after they rivalled online with Love Island star Molle-Mae involved in the spat.
Taylor has latched on and also tried to get under Fury’s skin by mentioning Molle-Mae to insult the 6-0 light-heavyweight.
But in a private U-turn, the Bellator lightweight messaged Fury on Instagram to say sorry for his antics.
A message read: “Hey bro heads up I won’t bring up molly mae any more. My apologies.”
Fury, 22, branded Taylor, 32, a ‘clown’ for the DM as they later went face-to-face at the pre-fight press conference.

The Brit, brother to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, opened up about the DM but vowed to make Taylor pay for his words.
Fury told iFL TV: “The man’s been messaging me, private messaging me though Instagram.
“Sent me a message this morning while I was sat with a couple of guys from Frank Warren saying, ‘Oh, I’m not going to mention Molly anymore, I apologise, bro.
“All that sort of s*** private messaging me. This man’s a fool, imagine messaging the person you’re going to fight in a couple of days in fight week saying all of this.
“The man’s an idiot, he’s looking for a bit more clout, he’s a nobody. I’m going to get in there and cave this man’s face clean in.
“Because the things he’s said can’t go unnoticed and that’s just the way it is so the more he says the bigger the hole it is for him to get in really.

“The hole I’m going to put him in because he’s messing with a different animal here.
“You see the size difference today, I’m not just a big dope who’s in the ring I know what I’m doing and it’s dangerous for him.
“So we’re going to see Sunday night.”

“I’ll see you soon boys, take it easy.”
Anthony Taylor: “I think it’s a disrespect to the sport, in my eyes and to many people’s eyes that understand boxing.
“He’s not a boxer. A boxer does not fight guys with ten wins and 126 losses. I can see if he fought a guy that was 1-2, 2-1, 3-3, 4-5, OK, 7-4.
“I can see if you fought those type of opponents with those records, then people can say, ‘OK, you’re actually not bad’.
“You don’t see a Ryan Garcia fighting guys on his debut with 0 wins and 26 losses. We don’t see Ryan Garcia fight a guy that’s, OK four wins eight losses.
“OK, let’s see, two wins, one loss, third fight, ten wins, five losses.” More

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley fight purse – how much are YouTuber and ex-UFC champion making for huge Ohio fight

JAKE PAUL and Tyron Woodley are set to receive fight purses that are ‘in the millions’, it has been revealed. Formerly athletic commissions, for example Nevada, would confirm how much fighters were due to make.

California and Arizona are among states that still provide access to fighter pay, but it is becoming otherwise more secretive.
And that will be the case when YouTube star Paul, 24, and ex-UFC champion Woodley, 39, fight over the weekend.
The pair headline at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, in an eight-round boxing match.
Woodley’s manager Malki Kawa did reveal the MMA veteran is in line for a career-high payday, more than anything he made in the cage.
Kawa told MMAFighting: “Yeah, he’s getting paid really well. It’s one of the best deals I’ve ever done. It’s a tremendous deal.
“He’s getting a large base number, he’s getting a cut of the pay-per-view globally.

“He should walk away with a multi-million dollar payday.
“His base guarantee is in the millions already, but add on all the other extra stuff, it’s a really nice payday.”
Woodley, 39, as UFC champ would receive a slice of any PPV he featured on, but his biggest purse was around £430,000 against Darren Till, 28, in 2018.
Paul, 24, was guaranteed £500,000 in his last fight, a knockout of retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, in April.
But he claimed 1.4m PPVs were sold and with his cut of the box office, his total earnings were said to have soured into the millions.
Even UFC legend Jon Jones, 34, tweeted to congratulate Paul and hinted at the true amount made.
Jones posted in a now-deleted tweet: “Jake Paul congratulations on your victory, that knockout over Ben was absolutely beautiful.
“If you’re seriously making over 5 million for a fight already, that’s wild. I’m so happy for you.
“Wishing you all the best on your combat sports journey.”
How Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley compare ahead of their boxing match
Woodley’s manager confirmed Paul will receive a bigger margin on the PPV sales, meaning his overall pay would be a career-high.
Kawa said: “We just got to a point where we felt comfortable with it.
“And Jake is probably making the lion’s share of the money, which he is, but nonetheless, it’s a really good payday for him.”
