Paul, 24, won his fourth professional boxing fight in the early hours of Monday morning after a split decision.
The judges scored it 77-75, 79-74, 75-77 in Paul’s favour.
After a cagey opening three rounds, the contest burst into life in the fourth as Woodley finally went on the offensive.
But things settled back down again towards the end of the eight rounds and the judges gave it to the online personality.
Plenty of famous faces have pitched for fights against money-maker Paul in recent months.
And Brit Bisping, 42, is the latest.

Speaking after the fight, the former UFC world champ said: “I’ll be honest I want to jump in there with him after seeing that tonight.
“Look at all the hype, people are going crazy for him, you’ve got to admit it was a pretty enjoyable event and quite the spectacle if I’m honest.
“So yeah, listen I was watching, my God this is easy work. You want to throw some cash at me Jake, I’ll do it.
“I’m only joking – but I’m a little bit serious because I’m like man this is the easiest sparring session of my life.
“But Jake’s got a ton of options, tons of options. A lot of people would fight him, because he’s very beatable.”
Tommy Fury – who beat former MMA star Anthony Taylor on Paul’s undercard – called the YouTuber a ‘bum’ and demanded a fight with him again.
    ‘HE’S VERY BEATABLE’
But Bisping thinks it’s too much of a risk for Paul.
He added: “He’s very beatable. You mentioned there Tommy Fury, I don’t even think they’d take that fight.
“They want someone that’s big, that’s a marquee kind of pay-per-view draw but somebody that’s at the end of their career that isn’t really going to pose too much of a threat.
“And for that reason, you know damn well they ain’t going to call me.”
Speaking after the contest, Paul was asked what’s next and said: “Honestly, we’ll see. I’ve been boxing for 18 months now.
“I haven’t been to the dentist, I barely got my hair cut in the last two years.
Two judges gave the fight to Jake Paul but Phil Rogers backed Tyron Woodley
“My teeth are crooked, my nose is crooked. I’ve dedicated the last 18 months to this. I haven’t stopped,
“I think I might need to chill out for a second and figure out who I am. I’m only 24, I’m changing, I’m growing, I’m learning a lot.
“I’m going through ups and downs and I’m making mistakes. But I’m keeping my head straight and we’ll see.”

Conor McGregor ‘salivating’ at prospect of facing Jake Paul as UFC star reacts to YouTuber’s win over Tyron Woodley

CONOR McGREGOR is ‘salivating’ at the prospect of fighting Jake Paul. The UFC star watched on as the YouTuber beat Tyron Woodley in his fourth professional boxing bout.

It was the first time in his short career the judges’ scorecards were needed as he was taken the eight-round distance.
But he secured the split-decision victory to maintain his perfect record.
McGregor took to Twitter with a simple one-word message.
    He wrote: “Salivating.”
And it suggests the Irishman is excited by taking on Paul – because he is confident of destroying the entertainer in the ring.
Paul was rocked for the first time in his career by a big hook to the head but recovered to do enough for the win.

McGregor, meanwhile, lost his only pro boxing fight against Floyd Mayweather in 2017.
However, the two-weight UFC champ will need to be fully fit before any dust-up can take place.
The Notorious, 33, has lost three of his last four MMA fights, including twice to Dustin Poirier this year.
In their July bout, he broke his leg and required surgery to fix the damage.
But the chance to take on Paul would guarantee a bumper pay day for McGregor.
Woodley is a harder fight than McGregorJake Paul
Paul initially suggested a showdown last year before doubling down on the idea in July.
It is thought a £37million offer was tabled for McGregor – with the 24-year-old telling him to ‘take the fight p****’ in an Instagram message.
As of yet, there is no deal done between the two to rumble – but McGregor is clearly confident of an easy night’s work if they do get it on.
However, the American responded to the tweet in his press conference.
Paul said: “I’m salivating too because I’m just getting warmed up. Conor McGregor has a lot more to focus on besides me right now.

“I’m five wins in a row, he’s one in three in the past four years so he needs to get off his vodka or whatever his brand is, sober up and get back in the gym then we can f***ing fight.
“There’s no way he hits harder than Woodley, he doesn’t weigh as much as Woodley, he’s shorter than Woodley.
“I said it before the fight, I think Woodley is a harder fight than him, especially on the weight he is going – Conor is going down, I’m going up.”

Watch Jake Paul and Tommy Fury confront each other in backstage bust-up as Brit reveals he was BANNED from entering ring

JAKE PAUL was involved in a backstage bust-up with Tommy Fury after beating Tyron Woodley. Fury outpointed Paul’s sparring partner, MMA fighter Anthony Taylor over four rounds on the undercard.

Having signed a two-fight deal with US network Showtime, the Love Island star has angled to face the YouTuber next.
But after Paul scored a split-decision win over former UFC champion Woodley, Fury was unable to get in the ring afterwards.
It led to a bust-up between the opposing teams which was captured on film and shared on social media.
After Paul squares up to the Brit – who was doing an interview – and appears to say ‘What’s going on Tom?’, Fury tells him: “You need to stop running my friend, let’s get it on.”
The pair’s camps then seem to trade insults before chaos ensues, and the two fighters are split up as Fury repeatedly shouts ‘take the fight’.
Discussing the incident, Paul said: “Look, the guy really had nothing to say, he had a mediocre performance against my sparring partner.
“All credit to Anthony Taylor he’s a tough guy but Tommy Fury is supposed to be this tough, big bad guy, legendary bloodline.
“I got into his face and let him talk. I don’t have anything to say to him – at the end of the day I hired him to be here, I gave him an opportunity to shine. I don’t have any bad blood I just said, ‘Yo tell your girl to get out of my DMs.’
“At the end of the day, will we see that fight? I would run that s*** easy – that’s an easier fight than Tyron in my opinion.
“People say he’s a real boxer – OK, maybe, let’s run it real boxer.”
Fury, 22, was having none of it though and gave his side of events.
He claimed: “Jake saw me ringside, I was leaning over the ropes waiting to get in. Logan said not now. They ain’t fighters.
“I was ready to throw hands there and then. This guy [Jake] doesn’t understand – me and my team will go now, we’ll get stuck in so he can count his blessings.
“Forty of his security team broke it up because the man can’t fight. Imagine him on the street… please. He wouldn’t last two seconds.
“If he had no security team there with him, he would have walked straight past me.
“There was a moment in that corridor where everything was going off between the security, my team, his team and it was just me and him.

“I looked dead into his soul. When the cameras are not around, he doesn’t want to know.
“Let’s be honest, if he really wanted to fight me, I’d have been in that ring there at the end through the ropes, let’s go, there’s no return.
“But he didn’t want that and the reason why he didn’t want me in the ring is because if I was getting in there, he wouldn’t be able to go back on it.”

Tommy Fury slammed as ‘ass’ and ‘not very good’ by UFC legends Daniel Cormier and Danis as rivals slaughter performance

Fury convincingly outboxed Taylor on the undercard of Jake Paul’s fight with ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
The 2019 Love Island star won all four rounds largely at range and behind his jab, utilising the massive size difference.
It put Fury to 7-0 in his career and announced himself to the US market for the first time.
But despite the convincing win, the UFC icons were somewhat underwhelmed.
Cormier tweeted: “Honest opinion of Tommy Fury, wasn’t very good! Looks the part, but can tell he is still very raw.
“This performance makes his chances to fight Paul better. He isn’t very scary, maybe he will be but not as of now.”

And Danis simply said: “Tommy Fury is ass lol.”
Still the British light-heavyweight remains unbeaten and used the display to entice and convince Paul into a grudge match.
Fury said: “Looking at that, Jake Paul, you should have an easy night mate, shouldn’t you?
“There’s no excuses now. You’ve seen everybody, I’ve had the biggest cheer in the place.
“There’s no excuses, no running, no hiding. I want you next, you bum. Let’s get it on.”
Fury, 22, already signed a two-fight deal with US powerhouse Showtime before he made his Stateside debut.

The network also recently tied down Paul to a lucrative deal and talk of a fight between them had already taken place.
However, Fury’s dad John said it’s a way off yet.
And Paul hinted he could snub the Fury fight to take a break from boxing to chill and ‘find out who he is’.

Paul had the better stats during the bout
The judges scored it 77-75, 79-74, 75-77 in Paul’s favour.
Woodley was furming afterwards and blasted one judge’s decision to award him just two rounds as ‘laughable’.
But the stats tell a different story.
Paul landed 30 per cent of his 122 jabs to Woodley’s 23 per cent of the 48 he threw.
Woodley landed 41 of the 115 power shots he threw which was 36 per cent.

In total, Ohio man Paul landed 71 of the 207 punches he threw (34 per cent) while Woodley connected with 53 of 163 attempted (32 per cent).
Of Paul’s 71, 22 of them were body shots while just six of Woodley’s 52 landed were.
Despite his win, Paul suggested he might take a break from boxing to ‘chill’ and ‘figure out who he is’.
Speaking after the contest, Paul was asked what’s next and said: “Honestly, we’ll see. I’ve been boxing for 18 months now.
“I haven’t been to the dentist, I barely got my hair cut in the last two years.

“I’m going through ups and downs and I’m making mistakes. But I’m keeping my head straight and we’ll see.”
Despite Paul’s apparent hesitance to return to the ring, Woodley demanded a rematch saying he won the fight.

The former MMA star blasted: “I feel like if that was the second biggest pay-per-view, then round two is gonna be bigger than that.
“I feel like I won the fight. I feel like Jake’s a great opponent. That’s why I came in great shape.
“The fact that one judge gave me two rounds is laughable. No disrespect, but f**k that [Tommy] Fury fight, me and Jake need to run that back.”

Watch moment Jake Paul was rocked and hurt for first time in career as Tyron Woodley lands huge hook during fight

He took the win via a controversial split decision.
But after three routine knockout wins, this was his toughest test so far.
And so it proved in the fourth round.
Woodley had started very passively but exploded into life in round four as he finally went on the offensive.
With a minute to go, the 39-year-old stepped in and went swinging.
Woodley, the shorter of the two men, crashed a huge right hook on to the head of Paul.

The YouTuber was stunned and fell back into the ropes, struggling to keep himself upright.
Thankfully for the entertainer, though, Woodley decided to wave his arm around to get the crowd going – rather than going in for the killer blow.
That allowed Paul to catch his breath and recover to see out the remaining 40 seconds of the round.
All three judges gave the fourth round to veteran Woodley.
But he went down 77-75, 78-74, 75-77 on the judges’ scorecards – results that left both men complaining.
Paul confessed he was stunned by the one big blow – but quickly reiterated that was the only major shot Woodley landed across the eight rounds.
    ‘ONE SHOT’
Speaking in the ring, he said: “He hit me with one shot all fight, it was a good shot and he had more shots, (but) there was only one real shot.
“I got eight rounds under my belt, all my previous opponents went in one minute. I’m doing things no-one has done.
“It was a tougher fight than I expected, my legs felt weird since the locker room. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
“He’s a Hall of Famer, he had a good fight, he came in shape. I have a lot of respect for him.
“There’s been a lot of s*** talk, apologies to his team if they were disrespected. This is a dream come true, I want to cry but I’m a little tired.”
Fans on Twitter piled in with their views on the heavy Woodley hit – mocking Paul but berating his opponent for not finishing the job.

One said: “Maybe he could have finished it off instead of waving his hand around … but I guess losing is fun too.”
Another wrote: “This clip is gonna haunt Jake forever.”
And a third added: “What fighter in any discipline not gonna continue striking here?”

Paul later won over eight-rounds by split-decision, but Woodley argued he deserved the win and demanded a rematch.
And he was told it was his – so long as he stayed true to his word and had ‘I love Jake Paul’ inked on him.
Paul, 24, said: “If you get the tattoo, I love Jake Paul, let’s run it back,”
Woodley, 39, replied: “Bet. Let’s go.”
Paul added: “Get the tattoo and we’ll run it back. We got the tattoo artist right here, so you ain’t going nowhere.
“Wipe the sweat off and shave that leg, because I’m fucking putting I love Jake Paul on your leg and we can run it back.”

On the undercard, Love Island star Tommy Fury, 22, beat Paul’s sparring partner, MMA fighter Anthony Taylor, 32, over four rounds.
Fury had already signed a two-fight deal with American network Showtime to try and set up a fight with Paul afterwards.
But Woodley called on the all-celebrity clash to be ditched so he could rematch the YouTuber.

He said: “I feel like if that was the second biggest pay-per-view, then round two is gonna be bigger than that.
“I feel like I won the fight. I feel like Jake’s a great opponent. That’s why I came in great shape.
