Jake Paul claims he raked in $100MILLION from Tyron Woodley fight after beating ex-UFC star in boxing clash

Jake Paul has claimed he got a giant payday from beating Tyron WoodleyCredit: Instagram @jakepaul
Jake Paul reckons he is closer to become a billionaire following his clash with Tyron Woodley
The social media star took to Instagram to pat himself on the back for boosting his bank balance following his victory.
In an Instagram story video to his 17million followers on the platform, Paul captioned a video: “When you get 10 per cent closer to becoming a billionaire.”
The clash was the second-biggest selling pay-per-view of the year behind his brother Logan’s duel with Floyd Mayweather,
However, despite claims of a $100m payday reports suggest Paul could pull in far less than a nine-figure amount.
Sportingfree.com reckons the Former YouTuber could earn around £1.4m ($2m) from the clash including its pay-per-view income.
The boxing-obsessed social media star has reportedly invested in a sports industry venture capital business which could be the basis for his earnings boast.

And Paul has been lobbying for higher earnings for boxers during his stint in the sport.
The YouTuber told Showtime Sports: “A lot of young fighters get sucked into long fight contracts by promoters and then they become a star and the promoters take all their money.
“I want to help fix that problem. I think we need to attack it in multiple ways.
“First, we need the sports to become more popular. More fans, more audience which will naturally put more revenue across the board. I think also voicing it.”
Easiest sparring sessionMichael Bisping on fighting Jake Paul
Paul, 24, who has reinvented himself as a prizefighter, has been challenged to a future professional boxing bout by UFC hero Michael Bisping.
And the MMA legend reckons taking on the popular YouTube star in the ring would be the ‘easiest sparring session’.
Paul landed a three-punch combination on Woodley in the opening round of the bout in his US hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
And the YouTuber was on the receiving end of some powerful right-hand jabs from his ex-UFC welterweight opponent in the third round
This followed a testing second round which saw the social media star at times on the back foot.
Paul then took the fight to Woodley landing a right uppercut before the UFC specialist connected with a big right hand.

And that punishing blow saw the vlogger stagger into ropes
Both fighters appeared to be tiring by the sixth round with Paul ending the round with a hand over the top.
And following the announcement of a split decision the YouTuber was declared the winner picking up his fourth pro boxing victory to date.

Boxer, 18, in critical condition after being knocked out cold and carried away on stretcher in ‘very rare’ incident

A BOXER is in critical but stable condition after she was knocked out by her opponent during an event in Montreal on Saturday evening.Jeanette Zacarias Zapata, 18, was stopped by Marie-Pier Houle before collapsing to the floor moments later and being hospitalised.
Zapata was hit several times towards the end of the fourth round
The teenager was standing when the referee called time on the fight
But Zapata collapsed seconds later and is now in a critical condition
Zapata was taking part in her sixth professional bout at the GYM Gala Boxing event in Canada.
The teenager was hit several times by Canadian boxer Houle towards the end of the fourth round and was hanging on to the ropes as the bell rang.
The referee immediately went over to Zapata to check on her condition and ended the fight seconds later – initially as a precautionary measure.
Although it was clear the Mexican star couldn’t continue, she was still on her feet at this stage as Houle started celebrating her TKO victory.
But just moments later, Zapata began having convulsions before her trainer Jovanni Martinez laid her down on the ring.
She was hospitalised and placed in a medically induced coma, with doctors describing her condition as critical but stable.

Event organiser Yvon Michel told Global News: “She didn’t regain consciousness.
“She was sedated in order to rest her body and her brain.
“The doctors didn’t give her much of a chance [to get out] initially, but they find her situation has improved a lot.
“The next two to five days will be critical and she will be kept sedated for that period.
I only realised the magnitude of the situation after seeing her. I wish it had happened to me instead of Jeanette; I am frustrated.Jovanni Martinez
“The next six weeks will then be critical in determining if there is damage and how much damage it has.”
Opponent Houle added: “This is not the thing you want to see.
“I was definitely going for the knockout, but I would have preferred her to come out on her feet, not lying on a stretcher.
“We’re keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes well.”

    MORE FROM FURY
Tommy Fury had more words about Jake Paul following their backstage confrontation.
Fury said: “Jake saw me ringside, I was leaning over the ropes waiting to get in. Logan said not now. They ain’t fighters.
“I was ready to throw hands there and then. This guy [Jake] doesn’t understand – me and my team will go now, we’ll get stuck in so he can count his blessings.
“Forty of his security team broke it up because the man can’t fight. Imagine him on the street… please. He wouldn’t last two seconds.
“If he had no security team there with him, he would have walked straight past me.
“There was a moment in that corridor where everything was going off between the security, my team, his team and it was just me and him.
“I looked dead into his soul. When the cameras are not around, he doesn’t want to know.
“Let’s be honest, if he really wanted to fight me, I’d have been in that ring there at the end through the ropes, let’s go, there’s no return.
“But he didn’t want that and the reason why he didn’t want me in the ring is because if I was getting in there, he wouldn’t be able to go back on it.”

“All credit to Anthony Taylor he’s a tough guy but Tommy Fury is supposed to be this tough, big bad guy, legendary bloodline.
“I got into his face and let him talk. I don’t have anything to say to him – at the end of the day I hired him to be here, I gave him an opportunity to shine. I don’t have any bad blood I just said, ‘Yo tell your girl to get out of my DMs.’
“At the end of the day, will we see that fight? I would run that s*** easy – that’s an easier fight than Tyron in my opinion. People say he’s a real boxer – OK, maybe, let’s run it real boxer”

“I’m five wins in a row, he’s one in three in the past four years so he needs to get off his vodka or whatever his brand is, sober up and get back in the gym then we can f*****g fight.
“There’s no way he hits harder than Woodley, he doesn’t weigh as much as Woodley, he’s shorter than Woodley.

The main event went the full eight rounds, with Paul bossing the early stages before Woodley stunned him in the fourth round – but the 39-year-old ex-UFC champ failed to capitalise on his huge hook that rocked his opponent.
The Problem Child, 24, recovered well and held his own, finishing the fight the stronger of the two and taking it 78-74, 77-75, 75-77 on the judges’ scorecards.
Despite the typical trash talk beforehand – which even included Deborah at the chaotic pre-fight press conference – Paul was pretty magnanimous in victory.
He said: “Look, I don’t know what to say. But he’s a tough opponent.

“He’s been boxing, striking whatever you call it for 20 years. I’ve been doing this for three years.
“All respect to Tyron. I have nothing but respect for him.”
It is unclear what is next for Paul – with a rematch against Woodley or fights against Conor McGregor or Tommy Fury all on the cards.

Fans claims Jake Paul fight against Tyron Woodley was FIXED with questions over judges’ scorecards and tactics

JAKE PAUL’S fight against Tyron Woodley was FIXED, fans are claiming. Many of those who watched it were angry with the way the YouTuber’s victory played out.

Paul, 24, won his fourth professional boxing fight in the early hours of Monday morning after a split decision.
The judges scored it 77-75, 79-74, 75-77 in Paul’s favour.
After a cagey opening three rounds, the contest burst into life in the fourth as Woodley finally went on the offensive.
But things settled back down again towards the end of the eight rounds and the judges gave it to the online personality.
Paul was rocked and hurt for the first time in his ‘boxing career’ in the fourth round. With a minute to go, Woodley, 39, stepped in and went swinging.
Woodley, the shorter of the two men, crashed a huge right hook into Paul’s head.

The YouTuber was stunned and fell back into the ropes, struggling to keep himself upright.
But thankfully for him, Woodley decided to wave his arm around to get the crowd going – rather than going in for the killer blow.
That allowed Paul to catch his breath and recover to see out the remaining 40 seconds of the round.

And this seemed to be the main reason fans thought Woodley had been told NOT to knock Paul out, with The Mail publishing several angry tweets.
Rae Marie wrote: “No one can tell me this isn’t fixed. Woodley is barely throwing, he could throw and end this at any time.”
Luke added: “Got the feeling Woodley was told not to knock him out. This game is fixed. Fingers crossed for the [Tommy] Fury fight as that’s a different ball game completely.”
Ricardo tweeted: “This is such a frustrating fight. Woodley walking him down then just standing in front of him not throwing a punch. This has gotta be fixed.”
Two judges gave the fight to Jake Paul but Phil Rogers backed Tyron Woodley
And Hentai chipped in with: “Jake got decked so badly in round four that he was never the same.
“Here he is 30 minutes after the punch, still in pain and red all over his face. Woodley proceeded to walk him around the ring like a long walk on the beach.
    “This seemed pretty fixed.”

Paul beat Woodley via split decision in Ohio.
The judges scored it 77-75, 79-74, 75-77 in Paul’s favour.
And focus soon switched to what the 24-year-old would do next.
Online personality Paul initially hinted he would duck the Fury fight and take a break from boxing.
But soon after he was clashing with the Brit backstage and calling for the fight to be staged.
However, it appears Tommy’s dad John is not keen on the idea – judging by footage of the 57-year-old that has surfaced online.

Fury Sr is seen watching Paul talk about his son during his post-fight interview.
And as the camera zooms in, the veteran fighter and coach is seen looking tense and angry.
Reaction to the footage online was mixed.
Muzz tweeted: “Watching the post fight conferences is infuriating. Jake won’t fight Tommy.
“He’ll say it’s because he doesn’t have the clout or he doesn’t rate him as a boxer. Though the real reason is because Tommy IS an actual boxer.”
Joe wrote: “I’d follow an entire channel based on John’s hateful reaction.”
And Crabby said: “Good analysis tonight! Enjoy watching you on the big screen.”
Paul, who moved to 4-0 with the biggest win of his career, was quizzed about fighting Fury next.
He argued Woodley is the tougher opponent but left the door open to an all-celebrity bout with Fury.
Paul said: “Will we see that fight? I would run that s*** easy. That’s an easier fight than Tyron in my opinion.
“But who knows? But sorry, like, people are like, ‘Oh, he’s a real boxer. Fight a real boxer’. OK, maybe, maybe let’s run it. OK, ‘real boxer’.”
Fury was labelled ‘ass’ and ‘not very good’ by UFC legends Daniel Cormier and Dillon Danis after his win.

British rising star Fury saw off Anthony Taylor before the YouTuber defeated Tyron Woodley on a controversial split decision.
Paul was pushed all the way and suffered the first big blow of his career in round four but recovered to maintain his 100 per cent record.
And the rivals then clashed backstage after their respective victories.
Discussing the incident, Paul said: “Look, the guy really had nothing to say, he had a mediocre performance against my sparring partner.

“People say he’s a real boxer – OK, maybe, let’s run it real boxer.”
Fury convincingly outboxed and outmanned Taylor on the Paul-Woodley undercard.
The 2019 Love Island star won all four rounds largely at range and behind his jab to move 7-0 in his career and announced himself to the US market.
And then he called out Paul, 24, for their all-celebrity blockbuster after their behind-the-scenes fracas.
Fury, 22, said: “Jake saw me ringside, I was leaning over the ropes waiting to get in.
