The Mexican superstar has surprisingly REFUSED to rule out a fight against the social media sensation.
When asked what he thinks of a potential fight with Paul, the 31-year-old told photographers in the US: “Not right now.”
The Guadalajara gladiator then said: “He’s not ready.”

Canelo, 31, has fought an impressive 59 times, winning 56, losing once (to the legendary Floyd Mayweather), and drawing twice.
Paul on the other hand has only fought four times, winning all of them and three by KO.
But Paul would be taking in a sizeable height and reach advantage if they ever clashed.
    He is 6ft 1in compared to Canelo’s 5ft 8in, with a reach of 76in to the Mexican’s 70.5in.
    PAUL’S VERBAL BLAST
    Both boxers fight orthodox style.
Earlier this year Paul launched a verbal attack on Canelo by calling him an ‘old hater.’
“Canelo, what’s your problem, bro?! Why you hate me so much?!
“Canelo’s mad. He has this thing against me. Said I’m bad for the sport. I’m disrespecting it, which doesn’t make sense at all.

“I’m actually just bringing more eyeballs, more awareness to the sport of boxing.
“But since Canelo, you wanted to start this beef, let’s do it!
“Canelo! You’re an old hater, that’s what you are.”

The Icelandic strongman is gutted that his much-hyped clash against bitter rival Eddie Hall has been postponed.
Hall suffered a DETACHED BICEP that saw their September 18 fight in Florida canned.
Bjornsson will now take on Canadian arm wrestling icon Devon Larratt in the boxing ring on that date.
But Bjornsson, who alongside Reign Total Body Fuel has released a documentary on his YouTube channel documenting his journey from strongman to boxer, already has his eyes on one of the sport’s Hall of Famers.
Speaking exclusively to SunSport, he said: “If Mike Tyson would want to fight me, I wouldn’t say no.
“I would be honoured to feel his power.”

Iron Mike made a glorious return to the ring in November when he drew in an exhibition against fellow Hall-of-Famer Roy Jones Jr.
Bjornsson admits he used to get ‘nervous’ about being punched in the face – but he now ‘enjoys it’.
He added: “The first few times when I was about to go spar, I would get nervous because I knew I was going to get punched in the face, it’s not very nice.
“The more I do it, the less nervous I get, now it’s more like I’m excited, because I enjoy it.
“I don’t want to be the guy laying on the floor and that’s my biggest motivation.”
‘Thor’ – who starred at The Mountain in Game of Thrones – will be hoping Hall makes a full recovery from his nasty injury so they can thrash out their differences in the ring.
And when they do, there is only one way the Icelandic powerhouse thinks it will go.
He added: “I don’t hate the guy, but I still want to beat him up.
“Not that I’m a violent person, but the things he has said to my family and to my teammates.

“It’s just so over the top that I feel like I have to get him back somehow and that’s the best way, to knock him out.”
First up though for Thor is Larratt, a man widely regarded as one of the best arm wrestlers of all time.
The 46 year old has won 53 of his 61 arm wrestling bouts and is currently the holder of the ‘Legacy Hammer’ – the sport’s most prestigious prize.
Hafthor Bjornsson is a Reign Total Body Fuel ambassador and will fight Devon Larratt on September 18 in Dubai. #ReadyToReign.

But he will return to the ring on September 11 at the age of 40 as part of the Triller undercard for Oscar De La Hoya’s clash with Vitor Belfort.
It has been announced that Haye’s battle against Fournier WILL count on his pro record, which stands at an impressive 28-4.
However, the eight-round duel will set fans back £9.99 if they want to watch it on PPV through FITE TV in the UK, SunSport can confirm.
On the undercard, Anderson Silva, 46, will fight fellow former UFC champion Tito Ortiz, also 46, in a boxing bout.

And Haye claims he is being paid MORE to face Fournier than he did to fight old foe Bellew.
He told iFL TV: “It’s more than the pay [for the Bellew fight. More than the pay. It’s crazy.
“It’s more than what I got [paid] for Bellew one. I know, that’s what I’m saying. It’s crazy dough.

But it wasn’t until Paul beat Woodley that he truly gained his old rival’s respect.
Askren told Fight Hub TV: “I gained a lot of respect for Jake Paul.
“I know he got a TKO on me but I knew I wasn’t very good at boxing.
“I told all of you that I’m not a very good boxer, I just think I’m better than he is.
“So when he got a knockdown on me, yeah whatever, he didn’t earn my respect.
“Watching him versus Tyron, I have a lot of respect for Tyron’s striking ability and I think Tyron won the fight, but either way it was a highly competitive bout.”

Former UFC champion Woodley controversially lost the fight on points, despite rocking Paul.
After his victory, Paul surprisingly announced his retirement from boxing.

Light welterweight king Taylor, 30, isn’t intimidated by Ugas, however, and believes that he can move up a division and claim the Cuban’s belt.
The Scot told Sky Sports: “Yes. I believe in my own ability. I have goals and targets and things I want to reach.
“My longer-term goal is to become a two-weight world champion by winning a belt at welterweight. I can beat these guys.
“Ugas, we sparred in Vegas, and it went well. That’s all I’ll say. It went very, very well. I dropped him!
“If that fight came around? I’ve got more experience, I’ve been in big fights.
“This was at a time before I’d fought for titles. Now I’ve been in hard fights, big fights, for titles.

“I can beat these guys, I really do believe in my ability.”
Ugas responded furiously on Twitter, labelling Taylor a ‘liar and a cheater’ and a ‘man without any kind of class’.
Before a fight between the two can emerge, Taylor must take care of light welterweight challenger Jack Catterall on December 18.
On his next opponent, Taylor added: “He is a very tough test. He’s 26-0, he has beaten everybody in front of him.
“There have been no questions asked. We haven’t seen the best of Catterall yet.
“I’ve seen a few of his performances and they haven’t been very impressive.
“That is because he hasn’t the opponents to really fire him up. He will be fired up for this one.”

And Saturday night’s revenge mission ended in a technical draw after a clash of heads just two rounds in at Headingley.
Referee Steve Gray ruled Lara’s eyebrow gash was too nasty to continue.
With the Mexican, 23, facing a potential year out, former IBF featherweight king Warrington now has a dilemma.
Gutted Warrington said: “I am a bit of a mental case and don’t know if the ghost of Mauricio Lara will haunt me.
“I’m 30 and have been out for seven months — how long will that cut keep him out?
“I assumed by now I would be unified champion having ticked off America and with loads of zeroes in the bank.

“The pandemic and getting chinned meant it hasn’t happened, though I want to get one over him.
“But I just can’t wait around too long.”
The Leeds football fan was roared on by 20,000, including Elland Road ace Luke Ayling.

Warrington has wanted to give fans a Las Vegas trip since becoming champ at Leeds’ ground  in 2018.
And, if promoter Eddie Hearn can find him an American-based opponent, it could happen in 2022.
Warrington revealed: “I would even take one over in the States next, without a title, because my fans deserve it.”

Despite only being 4-0 in his professional boxing career, the cocksure Paul believes he will one day share the ring with Canelo.
And he’s adamant he’d get the better of the hard-hitting Mexican.
He told Maxim: “I’m very confident. He’s a killer at 168 pounds.
“But people forget that I naturally walk around at about 205, so there’s a big weight difference.
    “There’s a big height advantage.
“At the end of the day, this is a business. If Canelo sees that, he’s going to want to get in on the business.”
