The YouTuber, 24, outpointed the UFC legend in their clash in Ohio last week, but he was made to work to stay unbeaten.
Paul was sent against the ropes in the fourth round of their contest following a huge right hand by the former weltwerweight champion.
The ex-Disney star was stunned as he fell back into the ropes as he survived an onslaught from his 39-year-old opponent.
And that wasn’t the only punch Paul had to eat during that round, as Woodley landed a mean left hook flush on his chin.
Showtime Boxing shared slow-motion footage of the punch, with Paul somehow staying on his feet.
Fans were left disappointed with Woodley for not following up with the hook after Paul was clearly hurt.

One supporter tweeted: “Woodley you smacked him with a left and he dropped both hands and you didn’t hit him with a right. You gotta double up in boxing. You had the WIN right there my friend.”
Another said: “If he followed that up with a right he would have dropped him.”
A third added: “An experienced boxer would have hit him with a straight right immediately after.”
Though one fan praised Paul’s toughness, as he simply stated: “Credit where credit is due, Paul has a good chin.”
Meanwhile another remarked: “Oh s***, Jake Paul is legit.”
Following Paul’s victory, UFC icon Anderson Silva has claimed he is willing to be the next MMA fighter to take on the Problem Child after Ben Askren and Woodley.
The 46-year-old told TMZ Sports: “My goal is my last fight is 49 [years old]. 49, I’m done. Probably, I’m done. That is my goal.

“We’ll see. Everything is possible. I respect both. [Jake] is doing good, working hard. So, we’ll see, maybe this is possible too.”

“Fight three more years and done. 49. That’s the number. Maybe I can fight more, but right now my goal is when I turn 49, I stop fighting.”
Silva began his professional fighting career TWENTY-FOUR years ago, when potential rival Paul, 24, was just five months old.
The majority of the Brazilian’s bouts have been in MMA, boasting a 34-11 record in the octagon – including several high-profile UFC events.
Silva holds the record for the longest title reign in UFC history, holding the middleweight title between 2006 and 2013.
But the veteran won just one of his last nine fights in the promotion and moved into boxing last year, boasting a 2-1 record.

Silva lost his first boxing match in May 1998 but won his second seven years later and his comeback in June, defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
His next fight is against a fellow UFC veteran Tito Ortiz, 46, in September, which could pave the way for a battle with Paul or his brother Logan.
Jake Paul boasts an impressive 4-0 professional record in the ring since his debut last year but is yet to fight a recognised boxer.
Logan Paul, 26, lost his only pro bout against fellow YouTuber KSI in November 2019 but did secure a draw against Floyd Mayweather in June.
Silva added: “Everything is possible. Jake Paul and Logan are doing a lot of good work in this new entertaining show.
“We’ll see. Everything is possible. I respect both. [Jake] is doing good, working hard. So, we’ll see, maybe this is possible too.”

Tyson Fury brands Eddie Hearn ‘Southern w*****’ and claims promoter tried to sign him in chat with Man Utd icon Neville

TYSON FURY jokingly called Eddie Hearn a ‘southern w*****’ during a chat with Manchester United legend Gary Neville. The Gypsy King also claimed Hearn tried to sign him and his failure to do so is the promoter’s ‘biggest regret of his life’.

When speaking to The Overlap YouTube channel, Fury, 33, was asked by Neville: “Has Eddie Hearn ever tried to sign you?”
To which Fury replied: “He has. He had the opportunity to do it.
“I believe he said in one of his interviews it was the biggest regret of his life that he didn’t sign the Gypsy King up.”
Rumours suggest Hearn rejected the chance to sign Fury in 2017 – at the beginning of the boxer’s comeback trail – because he was overweight.
The fighter subsequently signed with Frank Warren and achieved significant success, becoming world heavyweight champ again and one of boxing’s most popular stars.
Neville then asked Fury if he liked Hearn, to which he responded: “Eddie Hearn, he is a proper southern w*****.

“I don’t know if you can say that on your show?
“I love to terrorise Eddie because he loves to talk s**t about people that he’s got nothing to do with.
“All Eddie has ever done is talk rubbish about me because he knows it gets him hits and viewing figures on interviews.
“At the end of the day, what’s he ever achieved in his life? He’s never been a boxer.
“He goes around like he’s world heavyweight champion, but he isn’t. He’s just a businessman.
“There’s plenty of them out there but there’s only one, real, heavyweight world champion – and that’s me.”

Fury’s comments come after Hearn claimed the Gypsy King’s trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder will be postponed AGAIN due to a lack of interest.
The two boxers are due to meet on October 9 in Las Vegas but the promoter reckons they’re struggling for ticket sales and there’s a lack of hype.
Speaking to the press, Hearn asked: “Is that fight even happening?
“We are about to announce our next America show for October 16th and that’s only six weeks away and it’s tight but it’s not as big a card as Fury vs Wilder 3 should be.
“They have sold no tickets and there is absolutely zero hype around the fight.
“I am sure, if it happens, that people will turn on and watch it but no one is flying to Vegas.
AJ couldn’t smoke a cigarette, never mind smoke the Gypsy King. He hasn’t got the minerals to fight a man like me.Tyson Fury on Anthony Joshua
“I reckon 75 per cent of the people that went to the second fight were Brits who had flown over and normal fans cannot do that now.”
But Hearn wants the fight to proceed to allow his client Anthony Joshua to fight Fury in a huge British clash next year.
He added: “I want it to happen 100 per cent. I want a winner of that fight finally sorted so we can try again to make AJ’s undisputed fight.
“But if it doesn’t happen then the WBC have to finally put Fury into recess.
“Fury has not boxed since February 2020 and if he doesn’t box in October then it will be almost two years since that title was defended.
“I think he needs to fight because otherwise he needs to be stripped of the title or made champion-in-recess.
“Because Dillian Whyte has been sitting there as interim champion desperate and deserving of a shot.”

Donald Trump to HOST and commentate on Holyfield vs Belfort exhibition fight in Florida alongside son Don Jr

EVANDER HOLYFIELD’s exhibition fight with MMA legend Vitor Belfort will be hosted by former President Donald Trump – who will also provide ‘alternative commentary’.Trump will be joined by his son, Don Jr., in providing commentary on a “gamecast” of the event, organisers Triller told ESPN.

Saturday’s card was originally meant to take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, with 48-year-old Oscar De La Hoya returning to the ring to face Belfort in the main event.
But De La Hoya was recently hospitalised with COVID-19, and the event was moved cross-country to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, in Hollywood, Florida.
Holyfield, 58, stepped in last minute to replace De La Hoya in the main event.
Trump, who is close to Holyfield, confirmed his attendance in a release.
He said: “I love great fighters and great fights.
“I look forward to seeing both this Saturday night and sharing my thoughts ringside. You won’t want to miss this special event.”

There will be other feeds available for those who do not wish to hear the Trumps’ thoughts on the card.
According to Triller, which is overseeing the event, the Trumps will call the entire four-fight telecast, which will also include Anderson Silva-Tito Ortiz and David Haye-Joe Fournier.
Triller has hosted a number of celebrity commentators at its fights before.
Snoop Dogg provided color in calling November’s fight between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr., and comedian Pete Davidson was part of April’s fight between Jake Paul and Ben Askren.
    CELEBRITY CALLERS
Trump is not stranger to the fight game, having hosted a number of events at his Atlantic City casino in the 1980s and 90s.
Viewers will reportedly have the option to purchase either the main telecast or the Trump “gamecast” for $49.99.
Trump previously attended UFC 264 in July, but although the former president’s appearance was promoted by Dana White, Trump was not shown on the broadcast.

Eddie Hearn fears Fury vs Wilder could be postponed AGAIN with ‘no tickets sold’ and ‘zero hype’

EDDIE HEARN fears Tyson Fury’s third fight with Deontay Wilder is on the verge of being postponed again. The trilogy bout is scheduled for October 9 in Las Vegas but Brit fans are still not free to fly to the US and there has been hardly any hype whipped up by the promotional teams or TV channels.
Eddie Hearn thinks Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder III could be postponed AGAINCredit: PA

It’s almost two years since Fury produced a career-best performance to batter the American and be crowned the WBC heavyweight king, with the pandemic since kyboshing a couple of third-fight plans.
And Hearn believes another ditched date should mean Fury is stripped of the title, leaving Anthony Joshua or Dillian Whyte free to finally fight for it.
“Is that fight even happening?” AJ’s promoter wondered.
BETTING SPECIAL – GET 30/1 ON STERLING TO SCORE OR ASSIST vs POLAND

“I reckon 75 per cent of the people that went to the second fight were Brits who had flown over and normal fans cannot do that now.”
The WBC has form for putting their belt holders in recess or granting them franchise or emeritus status, while they are sidelined with injury or moving between weight classes.
So Hearn wants them to act if the rapidly approaching date is missed and both of his stars put in the frame for a shot at the green and gold belt.
“I want it to happen 100 per cent,” the Matchroom boss said. “I want a winner of that fight finally sorted so we can try again to make AJ’s undisputed fight.
Fury vs Wilder 3 was previously planned for July 24 only for an alleged case of covid-19 for the Gypsy King to cause that show to be ditched.
How Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder stack up ahead of the trilogy fight
The 6ft 9in Brit has never confirmed the diagnosis and confusion and contradictions around the situation left people, including Hearn, wondering if dwindling interest was behind the cancellation.
He said: “If you are guaranteeing people money, or have told them roughly what their purse is expected to be, and then suddenly you are looking at the numbers and realising you are taking four million dollars on the gate instead of eighteen million, then you have a problem.
“I appreciate the two-year absence is down to the pandemic and the problems it brought but, when it gets to two years and everyone else has managed to fight, something has got to happen.”

Oscar Valdez denies cheating and claims herbal tea could be behind ‘humiliating’ positive drug test

BOXER Oscar Valdez has incredibly claimed that HERBAL TEA could have been the reason behind his failed drugs test.Valdez tested positive for the banned substance phentermine last month but his fight against Robson Conceicao will still go ahead this weekend.
Oscar Valdez insists he did not knowingly take a banned substance and hinted it could have come from teaCredit: Getty
This was after the Pascua Yaqui Tribe Athletic Commission sanctioned it.
Now, in an interview with ESPN, Valdez insists he is ‘100 per cent a clean fighter’ and did not knowingly take phentermine.
And he has some theories as to how it was found in his body.
He explained: “We’ve literally never done anything different as far as taking other supplements.
“You know, very simple supplements — vitamin C, vitamin B12 and all those normal vitamins that everybody should take.
“The only difference is that I’ve taken herbal tea. That’s the reason why I would think that could possibly be, but I’m still not 100 per cent how that got into my body.
BETTING SPECIAL – GET 30/1 ON STERLING TO SCORE OR ASSIST vs POLAND

“I gave up coffee a while back and I started taking more herbal teas.
“And just trying different types of teas was the only difference that I’ve done in this training camp, and that’s one of the reasons why I think that’s possibly it.”
The 30-year-old Mexican also suggested that some of his vitamins could have been ‘contaminated’.
Valdez described the situation as ’embarrassing and humiliating’ and says he has been left ‘hurt’
He also insists he is ‘telling the truth’ and has always ‘been proud to be a clean fighter’.
Valdez will put his 29-fight unbeaten record on the line against Conceicao, as well as his WBC super-featherweight belt.

And he is a big favourite with the bookies to retain both of those.
Four-weight world champ and fellow Mexican Canelo Alvarez blamed contaminated meat for him failing a drugs test before his rematch against Gennady Golovkin in 2018.
And WBC heavyweight king Tyson Fury said eating WILD BOAR was the reason for his failed test in 2015.

Tyson Fury tells Gary Neville Anthony Joshua ‘couldn’t smoke a cigarette, let alone the Gypsy King’

HEAVYWEIGHT Tyson Fury believes rival Anthony Joshua ‘couldn’t smoke a cigarette, let alone the Gypsy King’, during an interview with Gary Neville. But the WBC champ also admitted he respects AJ and reckons his biggest rival would ‘love him’ if they got to know each other.

The Gypsy King was responding to AJ’s claim that he would ‘smoke’ Fury in an interview with Manchester United legend Neville
Joshua and Fury were due to meet in the ring in August but the bout collapsed before contracts were finalised.
Discussing the proposed fight with Neville on The Overlap YouTube channel, AJ said: “It’s not me, it’s the other side that are letting this down.
“We had the deal in place. We were the ones who found the venue and they bailed out on not only me but the boxing world.
“I’ll smoke that guy! I will, it’s annoying.”
Fury has since followed Joshua as a guest on The Overlap and was asked to respond to his comments when questioned by Neville.

BETTING SPECIAL – GET 30/1 ON STERLING TO SCORE OR ASSIST vs POLAND
And the 33-year-old said: “AJ couldn’t smoke a cigarette, never mind smoke the Gypsy King. He hasn’t got the minerals to fight a man like me.
“I said to Eddie Hearn [AJ’s promoter] straight, ‘The difference in me and him is he’s a businessman and I’m a f***ing Spartan.’
“And I’ll show him that when I get in the ring. I will absolutely annihilate that bodybuilder, he won’t go past six rounds. It will be over quickly.
“He knows that and his full team know it. And that’s why Eddie Hearn has been steering around me for the last ten years.”
Neville then queried: “Has Eddie Hearn ever tried to sign you?”
To which Fury responded: “He has. He had the opportunity to do it.
I respect him because he’s come from a very rough council estate – he was a drug dealer and all that sort of stuff in his early life – and he’s changed it all around to become a champion.Fury on Joshua
“I believe he said in one of his interviews it was the biggest regret of his life that he didn’t sign the Gypsy King up.”
And then Neville asked if Fury liked Hearn, to which the boxer replied: “Eddie Hearn, he is a proper southern w***er.
“I don’t know if you can say that on your show?
“I love to terrorise Eddie because he loves to talk s**t about people that he’s got nothing to do with.

“There’s plenty of them out there but there’s only one, real, heavyweight world champion – and that’s me.”
Fury later admitted that he respects Joshua, telling Neville: “I respect any boxer that gets in the ring.
“And I respect him not only because of a boxing side of things, I respect him because he’s come from a very rough council estate – he was a drug dealer and all that sort of stuff in his early life – and he’s changed it all around to become a champion.
“He’s earned tonnes of money, become an ambassador for the game, changed his family’s life and the way they were going to go.”
Fury then claimed AJ would love him if the unified world champ got to know the Gypsy King outside of the sport.
He couldn’t come out with me, could he? He’d be in my shadow because of the personality. He wouldn’t say two words – acting like the tough guy and tensing his muscles in the corner drinking an orange juice – and I’ve had six pints of beer and I’m breakdancing on the dancefloor.Fury on the prospect of going on a night out with AJ
He added: “I see interviews where he says I’m his worst enemy and that he hates me but I’ve never met the guy.
“I’ve met him a couple of times but never had no personal stuff [interactions], so he doesn’t know if he hates me or not.
“I think he loves me really but pretends he hates me. He used to be a fan boy of mine years ago when I was a champion and he was a nobody.
“He used to follow me on Instagram and Twitter and all that.
“And when he became boxer, he became this big famous guy that in his own mind is a superstar – a movie star – and all of a sudden he unfollowed me and now I’m his worst enemy!”
