Jake Paul and Tommy Fury in talks over sensational boxing fight but YouTuber has three other offers

JAKE PAUL is in confirmed talks with Tommy Fury, but also has three other options for his next fight. Paul is already set to start training again and is in discussion with his management team to find his next move.

It comes after the YouTuber moved to 4-0 in late August by beating ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, on points over eight rounds.
On the undercard, 2019 Love Island star Fury, brother to heavyweight champion Tyson, beat Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32.
With the pair both currently signed to American network Showtime, Frank Warren revealed negotiations for the celebrity clash are underway.
Promoter Warren told iFL TV: “We are talking at the moment, so hopefully something may happen, we’ll see. There’s a long way to go yet.”
Paul, 24, recently said Fury, 22, who is 7-0, was his priority next opponent as he wanted to fight a ‘real boxer’.
But the social media sensation has now told of his other talks with ex-UFC champions Anderson Silva, 46, and Vitor Belfort, 44.

Paul told MMA Fighting: “We’re talking to four different parties, four different fighters, and seeing which one makes the most sense.”
He later added: “The obvious ones that are on the table, it’s like Tommy, Anderson, there is a discussion with Vitor’s team.
“Just because we are so close to Triller, they’re just pingining us all the time, but there’s some names that are interesting that are more complicated.
“I just don’t want to jinx anything.”
Silva recently knocked out Tito Ortiz, 46, also formerly of the UFC, to add to his win in the ring against boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 35.
In the main-event that night, Belfort stopped the dangerously ageing and over-the hill Evander Holyfield, 58.
Afterwards, Triller – who promoted two of Paul’s fights – offered him a winner-takes-all $30million fight with the Brazilian.
Paul, who would need permission to feature on Triller from Showtime, is open to the wager, but wants proof of funds first.
    Jake Paul’s boxing ‘hit-list’
He said: “I think Vitor is a lot easier of a fight than Tyron.
“He’s older, he’s on steroids and such. It doesn’t excite me as much. The money excited me.
“If they were to put the money in a bank account – an escrow account – and show proof, then maybe that’s where the conversation starts.”

Anthony Joshua signs Derek Chisora to management company at perfect time ahead of fight against Oleksandr Usyk

ANTHONY JOSHUA has signed former amateur team-mate and sparring partner Derek Chisora – at the perfect time before fighting Oleksandr Usyk. AJ’s 258 Management have announced the acquisition of Chisora, who just amicably left former rival David Haye’s stable.
Derek Chisora pictured with old friend Anthony JoshuaCredit: Refer to Caption
Joshua used to look up to the heavyweight veteran when he first walked into the Finchley Amateur Boxing Club.
But now, he is the boss after adding Chisora to his management team, where they will now guide his career.
Freddie Cunningham of 258 said: “The partnership with Derek, his team and 258 is not one of out the blue.
“We have known each other for 20 years now, from inside the gym to outside we have been connected and always looked to help each other where we can.
“We are all really excited to formalise a working relationship, work with his existing team and create new opportunities for him.”
Joshua, 31, used Chisora, 37, for sparring before he reclaimed his heavyweight titles from Andy Ruiz Jr, 32, in December 2019.

And he could again call on his friend for some help and inside knowledge on his next opponent.
Chisora took slippery southpaw Usyk, 34, to points but lost in October 2020, gaining a full insight on the Ukrainian.
And that could come in handy tactically when AJ walks to the ring to defend his unified belts against his mandatory challenger on September 25.
For Chisora, he is in talks to rematch former WBO champion Joseph Parker, the man Joshua beat in 2018.
Parker, 29, won the first fight in May by split-decision with many feeling, even Chisora’s greatest rival Dillian Whyte, that the verdict was wrong.
It leaves a score to be settled in a potential rematch between the pair.

Anthony Joshua ‘boxed Tyson Fury’s head off’ in secret sparring session after being offered Rolex if he could drop him

ANTHONY JOSHUA boxed Tyson Fury’s ‘head off’ in their only-ever sparring session, his former coach claimed. The heavyweight superstars have shared the ring only once, at the Finchley Amateur Boxing Club in 2010.

Anthony Joshua with his former amateur coach Sean Murphy
At the time, AJ had only been boxing for two years but had just won the prestigious ABA title at super-heavyweight.
Fury meanwhile, was a promising and unbeaten heavyweight prospect looking for some sparring.
No one could have foreseen the impact that three-round sparring session would have had almost 11 years ago.
The pair give very different accounts of what happened, but one man with insight from ringside is Finchley trainer Sean Murphy.
And in an interview with BBC released on the latest Costello & Bunce podcast, Murphy gave his recount of the session.
He said: “I think he was expecting, because he knew he was only like 18 and hadn’t been boxing long, he was expecting to have some easy few rounds.

“They’ve come out and Josh has thrown a jab, right uppercut, left hook and he’s on wobbly legs, rubber legs!
“He’s grabbed hold of the ropes and I’ve said to him, ‘Mate, you can’t hold the ropes, you’ve got to let go of the ropes’.
“So, he let go of the ropes and said, ‘OK’. So anyway, they’ve done the first round, Josh really got the better of him in the first round.
“Come out for the second round I’ve said to Josh, ‘Just go and do what you’ve done, relax, straight punching, nothing overly brilliant’.
“He’s come out for the second round and Tyson starts mouthing off to Josh now, he’s getting in his ear talking to him.
“And Josh is getting a bit wild, he’s trying to knock him out now Josh and he’s come back and I’ve said, ‘What are you doing?’
“I said, ‘Just stick to your boxing, do what I told you’. So he’s gone out the next round, ignore the talking and just boxed his heads off.”

With Fury said to have been bettered, the future two-time champion pleaded but was denied a fourth round.
Murphy said: “Tyson gone, ‘No, no, no,’ and he’s begging for one more round.
“I went, ‘Nah, get out Josh, you’ve done three rounds’, because I knew what the craic was, he was going to try and put it on him next.
“Which Josh probably could have handled, but I wasn’t going to have it because if he weighed us in we would have done five rounds, if he paid for it.
“Because, he’s an an amateur boxer, I’m not letting him go in with a professional and get nothing for it.”
At the time, the story goes Fury was offering any and all sparring partners his Rolex if he was dropped.
And Joshua had a sense of satisfaction knowing the expensive watch was almost his.
“I said, ‘Just stick to your boxing, do what I told you’. So he’s gone out the next round, ignored the talking and just boxed his heads off.” Anthony Joshua ex-coach on 2010 Tyson Fury sparring session
Murphy recalled: “Josh looked over to him and said, ‘Was your Rolex up for grabs tonight?’
“And he started laughing Tyson, and Josh went, ‘I nearly got it, I nearly got it’.”
In an interview right after the spar, Fury, 33, said Joshua, 31, ‘gave me a beating’ for three rounds but years later retracted that statement.
The talking and disputing was set to be settled this summer after the two agreed terms for an all-British unification.
But Fury’s attempt to walk away from his contracted trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder, 35, was denied.
It leaves them due to rematch again on October 9, while Joshua faces mandatory challenger Oleksnadr Usyk, 34, on September 25.

Tyson Fury promoter Frank Warren admits David Haye fight would be ‘huge’ – Anthony Joshua is ‘only fight we want to see’

TYSON FURY’S promoter claims a fight with David Haye would be “huge” – but says Anthony Joshua is still the “only fight” everyone wants.Haye, 40, insists he has the right style to beat the undefeated world champ, having returned with a win on Saturday.

And Fury’s UK promoter Frank Warren suggested a long-awaited clash with the Gypsy King was not totally fanciful.
Haye beat businessman-turned-boxer Joe Fournier on points on the undercard of 58-year-old Evander Holyfield’s farcical one-round defeat against Vitor Belfort. And Warren told iFL TV: “I’ve got a lot of respect for David but he’s 40. I mean, he’s not a youngster but he’s not 58.
“He suffered some bad injuries and certainly against Tony Bellew… I’m in shock to be quite honest because I fancied David Haye (to win).
“Having said that, he obviously had these injuries and he shouldn’t have been in the ring in the first place.
“I don’t know whether he’s got rid of the injuries or not.
“I’m sure he’s calling out Tyson because him and Tyson, let’s get it right, would be a huge fight.

“But I think he’s got to do a bit more before talking about Tyson Fury.
“For No 1, he’d have to get rated, and to get rated you’ve got to fight a rated fighter.”
Warren, though, stressed, another all-British fight remains the big one for Fury – against AJ.

He said: “Fury and Joshua is the only fight we want to see.
“But they’ve got to deal with what they’ve got in front of them first because we’ve been down this road for about a year now.”
Haye officially retired after Bellew twice beat him but claims he has unearthed “big fat dosser” Fury’s “kryptonite” – and that’s the only official fight he’d come back for.
He said: “I know how to beat Tyson Fury, I really do. I’m being deadly serious.

“I understand why he’s so effective and no-one else can see it. I’m good enough still to do it. I would have done it back in 2013. He knows it.”
Unbeaten Fury is off social media as he prepares for his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder on October 9.
But his management team responded to Haye calling him by posting a picture of the 6ft 9ins champ standing over the Londoner at a 2013 press conference, along with the words: “There’s only one”.

Anthony Joshua says he NEEDS Tyson Fury fight to cement legacy as great boxer and test himself

ANTHONY JOSHUA admits he needs bitter nemesis Tyson Fury, to cement his legacy as a great fighter.Fury, 33, blew their planned summer undisputed showdown by overlooking his contractual obligation to a trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder, who he now faces on October 9.

AJ, 31, was fuming about being led on about the biggest fight in British boxing history and now has a dangerous – and less lucrative – mandatory defence against Oleksandr Usyk on September 25 instead.
But the WBA, IBF and WBO king knows only a clash with the unbeaten WBC champion will solidify his claim to be one of history’s finest heavyweights.
AJ told the BBC: “Fight good fighters and they bring out the best of you. We need it for boxing.
“Training camp is hard. To get better is very difficult in boxing. To fight Tyson Fury is a big challenge.
“I’m going to put that pressure on myself to actually get better. But it’s what we all need, I need it. Come on, let’s see how good I am.
“Let’s see how far I can take myself during this period. It’ll be a good challenge mentally. Not about him, but because I actually want to do well.

“When I wake up in the morning early and I’m tired, my body’s battered, I still go out and do what I do. It has great rewards and only someone like Fury can give that to me.”
AJ only started boxing around November 2008 and was Olympic champion by London 2012.
The Watford ace’s Adonis-like 6ft 6in frame made him a natural boxer but starting relatively late in life, aged 18, has meant he is always playing catch-up.
And a quick look back at his 2013 pro debut confirms for him the one regret of his career is not picking up the gloves earlier.
“When I watch my first fight against Emanuele Leo, I was so bad,” he said. “I wish I started earlier – I’d be much better.

“If I had started in 2000 then by 2010, I would have been a lot better.
“And when I started my pro journey, in three years I would have been the man I am today.
“I would have been more experienced, more seasoned.”

But he looked like he hadn’t been away, winning the bout with ease and then calling out Tyson Fury.
What is David Haye’s net worth?
Now 40-years-old, David Haye is one of Britain’s finest fighters of the last 20 years.
In 2001 he became the first British boxer to reach the final of the World Amateur Boxing Championships, winning the silver medal.
The Hayemaker turned professional at the age of 22, and made a blistering start to his boxing career, racing to 10 straight wins before an unfortunate defeat to experienced slugger Carl Thompson.
After winning the world title at cruiserweight against Enzo Maccarinelli in 2008, he made the step up to heavyweight.

Only Wladimir Klitschko and Tony Bellew proved too good in the next decade, with Haye retiring in 2018 following his second defeat to Bomber in an epic Best of British dust-up.
At the time of his retirement, Haye had a pro record of 28-4 from his 32 fights with 26 of those wins by way of knockout.
He was a fan favourite throughout the 2010s which pushed up his PPV potential, earning him millions in purse money.
As of 2021, David Haye’s net worth is estimated by CelebrityNetWorth.com to be £14.5million.

How much did he make in Fournier fight?
Haye came out of retirement on September 11, 2021 to fight Joe Fournier.
They met on the undercard of fellow veteran fighters Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort, who fought out the main event.
A professionally sanctioned fight over eight rounds, Haye was in the ascendancy from the off and knocked his opponent to the floor in the first.
And it was a profitable night for Haye outside of the ring, with the Brit star confirming he was paid MORE than he was against Bellew.
He told IFL TV: “It’s crazy, it’s more than I got for Bellew one. It’s crazy dough.
The pair were all smiles after their bout went the full eight roundsCredit: Getty Images – Getty
“You have to sacrifice, you’ve gotta go to bed at a certain time, you’ve gotta cancel all of your other arrangements, put all of your other business on hold.
“That’s what I do when I’m training for a fight, everything gets put on the back burner.
“I’d only do that for PPV money, good PPV money, and that’s what he brought to the table.”
Although the exact purse hasn’t been released, reports suggest that the fighters earned upwards of £4m each.
Fournier revealed before the fight: “It’s a huge package financially and one we couldn’t turn down.
“It could be worth up to $6m (£4.3m) to me.”
