Deontay Wilder’s tactics for Tyson Fury trilogy revealed as coach admits they plan to target Gypsy King’s belly

DEONTAY WILDER plans to target Tyson Fury’s belly in their Las Vegas trilogy fight. The former WBC heavyweight champion will bid to avenge his seventh-round TKO defeat to the Brit on October 9 at the T-Mobile Arena.

Wilder, 35, was battered from pillar to post in his rematch with Fury last February but plans to strategically ‘break down’ the Gypsy King with nasty body shots.
His new assistant coach, Don House, told 78SPORTSTV: “Malik [Scott] has done a wonderful job with him.
    “He’s done a wonderful job—those body shots.
“I’d rather get hit in the head than the body. Deontay has always been focused on knocking guys out to the head.
“We’re not going to do that in this fight. We’re going to box him and going to break down the body.
“He [Wilder] loves the body. It’s a bigger target, and you’ve seen Fury’s body on how big a target it is.

“It’s an easy target to hit. We’re going to maintain and stay in that area, and put the money in the bank, then break him down and knock him out.”
Wilder recently enlisted the services of House in a bid to help avenge his sole professional loss.
And the former UFC cutman believes the Bronze Bomber has made great strides since he was brought into camp.
He added: “As a trainer for Deontay Wilder, everyone knows he’s got that bomb. If he catches you with that, you’re going to sleep.
“I saw a lot of things in Deontay that he didn’t see himself.
“But when you have that bomb, when you can crack with that right hand a lot of times, you rely just on that.

“But when somebody can take that from you, it makes it difficult to win a fight. Listen, Deontay is a pure athlete.
“By saying that, there are a lot of things that he can get away with that a lot of fighters can’t get away with.
“This guy [Deontay] is fast, and he’s got power with both hands.
“I don’t want to give away all the secrets, but all the fundamental things, he’s picking up easy.”
Olympic bronze medallist Wilder is hellbent on returning to the win column in devastating fashion, saying: “My mind is very violent.
“We built a whole facility to commit a legal homicide and that’s just what it is, my mind is very violent at this time.
How Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder stack up ahead of the trilogy fight
“I can’t wait, when you’re contemplating and pre-meditating about harming a man and you see that person, what you’ve been thinking and feeling will come out.
“The only thing about it is, at that point in time, I have to wait until I get in the ring to really release because I can’t do it on the outside, it’d defeat the purpose.
“The baby’s got to eat, but when I do get in the ring, this is what I love about it, I’m able to release everything I’ve been feeling, everything I’ve been thinking, and get paid to do it.”

And less than two months later, former world title challenger Chisora will throw down with Joseph Parker.
Shortly after the official announcement of his next outing, an excited Whyte wrote on Instagram: “Whyte Vs Wallin, October 30th live at the O2.
“It’s going to be a scary night for Wallin.
“I’ve not boxed at home In front of crowds in nearly 2 years I’m ready to go to war.”
Fan favourite Chisora followed in Whyte’s suit, writing: “Si vis pacem, para bellum (Classical Latin: [siː wiːs ˈpaːkẽː ˈpara ˈbɛllũː]) is a Latin adage translated as “If you want peace, prepare for war”.
Whyte, 33, hasn’t set foot inside the ring since his demolition of Russian Alexander Povetkin in March.

Chisora, meanwhile, was last in action against former WBO heavyweight champ Parker in May.
War suffered a split-decision defeat to the Kiwi, with the judges scoring the contest 115-113, 111-116 and 113-114.
A furious Chisora expressed his frustration with the judges’ scorecards in his post-fight interview, saying: “I am beyond getting upset now.
“I train hard, I bring everything and this is the treatment I get from boxing.
“Same as last the fight. They don’t like me.
“I put it all in there and this is the result I get. This is unbelievable. Even his coach Andy Lee said I won the fight.”
Whyte vs Wallin and Chisora vs Parker II are just two of the exciting match-ups recently announced by DAZN.

Two weeks before Whyte and Wallin go to war, former four-weight world champion Mikey Garcia will return to the ring.
The California clubber, who had been hoping to land a fight with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, will lock horns with Sandor Martin.
Garcia’s clash with European super-lightweight champ Martin will be his first outing since his unanimous decision victory over Jesse Vargas last February.

Thor, 32, was supposed to take on strongman rival Eddie Hall this weekend before ‘The Beast’ suffered an injury.
And 6ft 9in Bjornsson, who holds the world-record deadlift at 501kg, will instead fight world No1 arm wrestler Larratt after shedding the pounds.
The Game of Thrones star weighed a mind-boggling 32 stone when he won World’s Strongest Man in 2018.
But the Icelandic giant, who admits he would love to fight Tyson Fury next, is now loose and limber at a trim 23 stone.
Bjornsson told Muscle and Health: “I don’t really weigh myself, but the last time I did, I was 149kg.
“I’m not getting heavier, that’s a fact. i don’t really have a plan for the fight weight.

“I just want to be in good shape, feel good and obviously be able to last the full six rounds.
“When I was competing in World’s Strongest Man, I was eating six to seven meals a day and hitting around 10,000 calories.
“I felt okay, but because of my bodyweight I never really felt great. No one feels great at 205kg.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re strong or whatever, just being that heavy takes a lot of energy out of you.
“Of course, having transitioned to boxing, my diet has changed a lot. I’m eating a lot less, very clean.”

Billy Joe Saunders DENIES he quit against Canelo Alvarez and claims he fought for minute with broken eye socket

BILLY JOE SAUNDERS has quashed rumours he quit against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez during their world title clash in May.The 32-year-old’s team threw the towel in during the eighth round after the Mexican icon, 31, inflicted multiple eye fractures on the Brit.
Canelo produced a superb uppercut to end Saunders’ night
Speaking to iFL TV, Saunders admitted: “If I wanted to go down on one knee with a broken eye socket, it could’ve easily been done.
“I went over a minute and still carried on… Anybody who knows me personally knows that’s not in me, ever.”
Saunders suffered his gruesome injury after Canelo produced a brutal uppercut in the eighth round, ending his unbeaten record.
The defeated champ came under fire afterwards for slamming Daniel Dubois the previous December for suffering a similar injury.
Saunders and Canelo were fighting for the unified super-middleweight world title and the latter was the favourite before the bout.
The Brit’s recent comments come after rival Chris Eubank Jr claimed Saunders quit against Canelo – despite suffering a serious injury.

BETTING SPECIAL – GET JOSHUA TO WIN IN ROUNDS 1-6 AT 60/1 OR ANYTIME AT 25/1
Eubank Jr is eyeing up a rematch with Saunders but the ex-champ is not overly keen on boxing again after making several investments.
Saunders added: “I’m not really worried if I box again. If I don’t box again, it doesn’t worry me. I’ve invested my money well.
“I have to go away to training for six or seven months. I have to take myself out of my comfort zone.
“There are certain fights that could get you up to do that. Obviously, a Canelo rematch would get me up to do that.
“They would have to be the right fights to get me back in boxing because I’m not interested in being a three-time world champion anymore.”
