Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3: Date, UK start time, live stream, TV channel and undercard for heavyweight trilogy

TYSON FURY and Deontay Wilder are ready to go to war for a THIRD time with their long-awaited rematch in Las Vegas. The Gypsy King’s showdown with the Bronze Bomber, which was supposed to take place on July 24, was postponed because Fury, as well as other camp members, tested positive for Covid-19.

Fury demolished Wilder inside seven rounds to inflict the first defeat of the American’s career back in February 2020 and win the WBC heavyweight title.
Neither man has fought since then, and both have been busy in longer training camps.
The winner is likely to fight Oleksandr Usyk, who beat Anthony Joshua by unanimous decision in their heavyweight clash to secure the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.
Any match-up between Joshua and Fury now seems remote after AJ’s defeat, but Eddie Hearn promises the pair will go for a rematch.
When is Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3?

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 was originally slated to take place on July 24, but will now take place on October 9.
Expect the main event of Fury vs Wilder 3 at around 4am BST.
The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas plays host and Nevada is eight hours behind the UK, so the fight will begin about 8pm local time.

What TV channel and live stream is Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 on?

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 is being broadcast live on BT Sport Box Office in the UK.
The fight will cost £24.95 on BT.
In the US the event is expected to be live on ESPN+ and Fox PPV.

    How the fighters compare

    Who is on the undercard?
The event, cross-promoted by Top Rank and Premier Boxing Champions, will see a host of heavy-hitters featuring on the undercard.
That includes the battle of unbeaten heavyweights in Cuba’s Frank Sanchez meeting Nigeria’s Efe Ajagba.
Sanchez, a training partner of Canelo Alvarez who is promoted by Top Rank, will put his 18-0 record against PBC’s Ajagba, who stands 15-0.
Robert Helenius will also rematch Adam Kownacki on the bill.
Polish prospect Kownacki, 32, was defeated for the first time and stunned by veteran Helenius, 37, in March 2020.
American star Jared Anderson will return, with an opponent yet to be confirmed.
Anderson, 21, is 9-0 and was credited as a huge part in Fury’s win against Wilder last year.
He provided the Gypsy King with expert sparring Stateside, winning the praise of the WBC champion.

    What have they said?
Fury has recently been talking about how referee Kenny Bayless saved Deontay Wilder’s life in their second clash, despite the Bronze Bomber’s claims the fight was stopped prematurely.
“The final stoppage one was where I was catching him clean, I believe the referee actually saved his life that night and saved his career,” Fury said.
“It was just like ‘I told you so’, and I am back where I belong and that’s it. There was no big miracle shock, it was like I was back where I was supposed to be at the top of the game, rated number one and back beating guys I wasn’t supposed to be beating.
“Physically and emotionally I have managed to push myself and come back from places I didn’t know if I could, but it was a tough ride and I have enjoyed every minute of it.”
Wilder, on the other hand, is more confident than ever he will have his hand raised in their massive trilogy.
“I just want to beat his ass. It’s as simple as that. I just want to beat his ass,” he said.
“I want it back in blood. That’s up to me. Come October 9, I will get my revenge. An eye for an eye, that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
Where is Fury vs Wilder 3 taking place?
Fury vs Wilder 3 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, making it the third different venue in pair’s three fights.
Fury vs Wilder 1 took place at Staples Center in Los Angeles back in December 2018.
The T-Mobile Arena will play host to Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder III
And while their second happened in Las Vegas, the MGM Grand Garden Arena was the venue.
But now the T-Mobile Arena, which has hosted huge fights such as Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor, Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin and numerous big UFC events, will play host for their third clash.
    Who is training Tyson Fury?
Tyson Fury will be trained, once again, by SugarHill Steward, who took his corner for the second Wilder fight.
Fury used to be trained by Ben Davison, who was in charge for the very first Wilder bout, but was replaced by Steward a year later.
Steward instantly implemented his ‘Kronk style’ of training, one in which where boxers who fight out of the Kronk Gym in Detroit, Michigan, seek to put pressure on their opponents to force a knockout.
SugarHill Steward trainer Tyson Fury for the second Deontay Wilder fight
The style of fighting was first introduced by legendary trainer Emanuel Steward, SugarHill’s late uncle.
Fury predicted that with SugarHill in his corner, he would bring the fight to Wilder and take him out during their second fight, a prediction not many believed in.
But the Gypsy King did just that, stopping Wilder in seven rounds. And now, with 18 months more Kronk training under his belt, Fury will be looking for the same result on October 9.
    Who is training Deontay Wilder?
Wilder has brought in a new head trainer in Malik Scott, who the Bronze Bomber fought and knocked out back in 2014.
Scott and Wilder have worked all summer in attempt to sharpen the latter’s boxing skills, quickening both his feet and hands in preparation for Fury.
Wilder will still have ex-head trainer Jay Deas in his corner, but Scott will take charge on fight night.

The Alabama native used to have former world champion Mark Breland in his corner, but he was sacked after Wilder accused him of spiking his water before the second Fury fight.
It was also Breland who threw the towel in, forcing the referee to stop the fight midway through the seventh round. More

Oleksandr Usyk reveals how hard Anthony Joshua REALLY hits with power punches after being ‘sent to Elon Musk for awhile’

OLEKSANDR USYK admitted the power of Anthony Joshua’s punches sent him to ‘Elon Musk for a while’. The reveal came when Usyk addressed his fans after returning home to Ukraine as the new unified heavyweight champion.

He came back to a hero’s welcome after putting on a 12 round masterclass 1,600 miles away from to dethrone AJ at Tottenham’s stadium.
But while Usyk made it seem all so simple, in reality AJ’s power was out of this world.
He said: “There were quite tangible blows. You can see it on my face too. There was a cut when we hit our heads.
“Then a light blow from his jab broke an eyebrow, which was flooding my right eye with blood.
“I will not hide that there were very sensitive blows to the chin, to the stomach, which sent me to Elon Musk for a while, but I quickly returned.
“In battle, adrenaline and emotions are so overwhelming that you feel it after the battle – pain, dizziness and everything else.
“In the ring, you are very focused on your actions.”

Punch stats after the fight revealed AJ actually threw more with 641 compared to Usyk’s 529.
But the newly crowned king was by far the more accurate puncher, landing 148 times with an accuracy of 28 per cent.
Whereas AJ connected with 123, scoring with only 19 per cent of his shots as for the second time in his career he surrendered the belts.
The first came in 2019 following shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr, 32, but that was avenged six months later.
In similar fashion, Joshua looks set to exercise his right to an immediate rematch.
Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk said: “The rematch was specified in the contract.
“It has already been activated in principle, from the side of Joshua.
“So I remember when we discussed with Oleksandr the issue of rematch, he was delighted and said, ‘Wow, cool, I will beat Anthony twice.'”

Roy Jones Jr wants Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk kept apart ‘by any means necessary’ as he fears unentertaining fight

BOXING legend Roy Jones Jr wants Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to be kept apart ‘by any means necessary’ – as he fears a borefest. Jones was ringside as an analyst to watch Usyk put on a 12 round masterclass against Anthony Joshua.

It has put hopes of a Battle of Britain between Joshua, 31, and Fury, 33, to bed for the moment.
Now Usyk, 34, will fancy adding Fury’s WBC belt to his collection of shiny new WBA, IBF and WBO straps.
But one man not so keen on the idea is American icon Jones, who predicts an uneventful chess match between the two masterful champions.
He told DAZN: “I hope it don’t happen. Two boxers don’t make for the most entertaining fight.
“We gotta keep Usyk and Fury away from each other by any means necessary. We do not want to see that.
“There should be a clause right now put into any contract: ‘Do not allow Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury to have a fight.’
“We do not need that for boxing.”

Joshua has a rematch clause in the contract, much like he did in defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr, 32, in June 2019.
He has confirmed plans to exercise it as soon as possible and has the backing of Jones, who won titles from middleweight all the way to heavyweight.

He added: “This was an excellent fight tonight. This is what boxing needs. We don’t need the other fights we’ve been getting.
“We need these kind of real fights. I would say, we hope Joshua takes the rematch. This was an awesome fight.
“We’d love to see an awesome fight like this again. That’d be better for us. We don’t want to see Usyk-Fury. We’ll see anybody else!”

Anthony Joshua defended by Tyson Fury’s father who says ‘it’s his corner’s fault’ for defeat to Oleksandr Usyk

TYSON FURY’S dad John has blasted Anthony Joshua’s corner as he blamed his team for his defeat against Oleksandr Usyk. The 31-year-old lost his WBA, WBO and IBF titles on Saturday night after being outpointed by the unbeaten Ukrainian.

John Fury believes Joshua’s team didn’t help him in his defeat to Usyk on Saturday
Joshua has since ‘activated in principle’ his rematch clause to face his 34-year-old rival and try to win the belts back.
His promoter Eddie Hearn has urged AJ he must go in and ‘hurt’ Usyk having had some success in their dust-up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Meanwhile, Joshua’s trainer Rob McCracken believes Joshua will win the rematch should he apply pressure with his jab and keep Usyk off balance.
But John Fury, 57, has hit out at McCracken and the rest of Joshua’s corner for failing to change up his tactics during his 12-round war.
He told BT Sport: “Listen he’s a very awkward man Usyk. Obviously he’d never fought anybody like that before.
“What he did need to do is adopt Derek Chisora’s game plan because he did a better job than what [AJ] did.

“I thought if he used his weight a bit more and put a bit more devil in his work, it could’ve gone better for him. I was surprised because he’s a big dude.
“He might’ve lost too much weight, but what he needed to do was get all over him and put him under pressure. Not let him settle.
“When your plan ain’t working, it’s up to the corner to switch it up, and they never. They kept saying in the eighth round, ‘Be smart behind your jab.’
“It wasn’t working because he was in front of a master technician and he played Usyk’s game from the beginning. They didn’t try and change it – it’s his corner’s fault.”

He then added: “Give AJ a break.
“Because it wasn’t all AJ’s fault, it was his corner, they never had the brains to help him out of a sticky situation.
“You’ve got to know that the men in your corner know the fight game.”

Oleksandr Usyk ready to sacrifice unification fight with Tyson Fury in order to ‘beat up’ Anthony Joshua again

OLEKSANDR USYK is so confident of giving Anthony Joshua another battering he is not fussed about delaying his undisputed shot.Had Brit hero AJ defended his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles against the 34-year-old Ukrainian on Saturday, he would have targeted the October 9 winner of WBC champ Tyson Fury versus Deontay Wilder.

But Usyk, already a former undisputed cruiserweight king, outboxed and outbattled Joshua.
And, when Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk explained AJ had a rematch stipulation blocking his shot at double immortality, instead of sulking the 19-0 ace grinned.
The new champ said: “Oh cool, I get to beat up Anthony Joshua twice.
“I have three of the main belts and Tyson Fury has the fourth, at the moment.”
AJ promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed the UK is leading the race to host the rematch.
The Matchroom Boxing chief said: “We will work together to maximise (the income), Ukraine is very unlikely. I think it will be international or the UK, I would think it would be in the UK.”

Dillian Whyte vs Otto Wallin: Date, UK start time, live stream, TV channel, undercard for O2 heavyweight fight

DILLIAN WHYTE returns to the ring on Halloween weekend in a corker of a clash with former Tyson Fury foe Otto Wallin. Whyte bounced back from his KO loss to Alexander Povetkin last year by beating the Russian an emphatic fashion earlier this year in Gibraltar.

Wallin won a decision over ex-Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder opponent Dominic Breazeale back in February.
But the Swede is best known for giving Fury one of the toughest fights of his career and opening up a huge cut over his right eye two years ago.
Whyte has angled for a fight with Fury himself for some time, with the winner of this fight likely to be called as the mandatory for the winer of Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3.
When is Dillian Whyte vs Otto Wallin?

Dillian Whyte’s heavyweight clash with Otto Wallin is set to go ahead on October 30.
The fight will take place at London’s O2 Arena, where Whyte is a hugely popular figure.
There will be close to 20,000 fans in attendance at the fight.
The main event is expected to get going at around 10.30pm UK time.

What channel is it on and can it be live streamed?

Dillian Whyte vs Otto Wallin will be shown live on DAZN in the UK.

The fight will be Whyte’s first on DAZN in the UK since Matchroom switched broadcasters from Sky to the streaming service.

    What has been said?
“He’s kind of a brawler but he can box a little bit too,” revealed Wallin has said.
“He’s got a good left hook and he’s a good body puncher so those are things I’ve got to be aware of.
“I think that in the long run it takes a toll to have hard fights like that. He’s been knocked out twice and he’s taken a lot of punishment and he’s been hurt in different fights.”
Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn said: “As long as Dillian beats Otto Wallin, then Whyte is mandatory for the winner of that fight immediately.
“There is no reason not to do it. Dillian, who 100 per cent would have wanted AJ to win, because he’s not like that.
“He now sits there as probably a cast-iron mandatory challenger to the winner of Wilder-Fury.”
    Who is Otto Wallin?
Wallin burst onto the scene when he fought Tyson Fury in September 2019.
The Swede was supposed to be an easy touch for Fury, who was preparing for his rematch with Deontay Wilder.
But their fight turned into a nightmare for Fury, who was cut open by one of Wallin’s left hooks in the fourth round.
The cut required extensive attention throughout the fight and 47 stitches after the bout was finished.

It also became a possibility that the fight could’ve been stopped due to the cut’s severity, making it a TKO victory for Wallin.
But Fury hung on and secured a tight win on the judges’ scorecards.
Since then, Wallin has bounced back with two wins, one of which came against Breazeale in February of this year. More

“We’ve been here before, and now a three-time heavyweight world champion. That’s the new dream. He’ll do his work.
“Now, I’m excited because that rematch is going to happen early next year, and if he does it, which I believe he can, he’s on a whole new level.
