Inside Tyson Fury’s modest £550k Morecambe house where he lives with Paris and growing family

TYSON FURY’S box office credentials have never been in doubt – after once having three huge TV’s delivered to his Morecambe home. The Gypsy King, 33, is a global superstar ahead of his trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder, but insists he will never forget his roots – and these are laid in the seaside town of Morecambe.

The WBC heavyweight champion of the world lives in a five-bed, four-bathroom home that is worth over £550,000, according to Zoopla.
Fury had plenty of time to enjoy his home comforts during the coronavirus pandemic, before throwing himself into boot camp.
He made the fading seaside town his permanent home in 2011, and has since become its most famous resident with crowds flocking to see him train on the beach.
Speaking on a three-part ITV documentary last year, he said: “People say to me, ‘Why don’t you live in California or America?’ – why would I?
“Why would I abandon my own country for a bit of money and some fame?
“I love it. I would never leave Morecambe. It’s true beauty. If the weather was better, every house here would be a million quid.”

Before he amassed what is now thought to be around £100m following one of the great sporting comebacks, Fury lived in a caravan on his dad John’s land.
But now he is the king of his own castle along with wife Paris and their children.
Inside the family home are links to the profession he will go down in history for.
Just next to a glass column holding the multitude of belts the heavyweight has won in his career is a framed picture of him after his win against Wladimir Klitschko on the wall.
That victory was regarded as one of the finest successes for British boxing – but he might be beating his own claim when fighting again later this month.

The neighbourhood have embraced the Fury family much like he has embraced MorecambeThere won’t be any household rubbish lying around the house for too long – despite reaching the pinnacle of his profession, Fury is happy to roll his sleeves up and take out the rubbish.
But there are definite luxuries he can enjoy too.
Parked up are a Ferrari and Rolls Royce. But it is a mode of transport closely linked to his heritage that the 6ft 9ins powerhouse prefers to focus on.
Fury also had three 75-inch £800 Samsung Smart TVs delivered to his plush pad earlier this year.
Away from the ring, Fury has restored and customised a gypsy wagon that he proudly treks through the streets – after spending over four years renovating.

Speaking about the four-wheeler, Fury said: “[It’s] real gold, gold leaf, all hand-painted.
“The Gypsy code says you must travel towards the sun, so we keep the sun towards the back.”
Quietly going about his life, Fury has participated in charity work for children’s hospitals, offered help and advice to aspiring boxers and supported local businesses.
That’s why the boxer, a reformed character after his battle with depression, drug and alcohol abuse, is a real man of the people in these parts.

Andy Ruiz slams Anthony Joshua’s strategy for Oleksandr Usyk loss but backs ‘strong’ former opponent to bounce back

ANDY RUIZ JR admits he was surprised by Anthony Joshua’s strategy for his clash with Oleksandr Usyk.AJ suffered a unanimous decision defeat to the undefeated Ukrainian last weekend after being outboxed for 12 straight rounds.

The Watford warrior stunned fight fans across the world with his decision to try and box the fleet-footed and elusive Usyk, including his old foe Ruiz.
He told Fight Hype: “It surprised me because when I did an interview with ESPN, I thought Anthony was going to be the stronger man, and I thought he was going to box him around and use his abilities.
“He [Joshua] just stayed there, he wasn’t moving around and doing the same thing with me in the second fight with me.
“He ran around to make sure he didn’t get hit, and if he did, he would grab and move around. So he had a strategy. But for this fight [with Usyk], it didn’t go his way.
“It’s crazy because I thought Anthony Joshua was going to beat Usyk. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a 50-50 fight between [Tyson] Fury and [Deontay] Wilder.
“That’s going to be a really exciting fight. I’m going to be there.”

Joshua’s head coach Rob McCracken has shouldered most of the blame for the defeat, which could very well have permanently scuppered a blockbuster showdown with Fury.
But Ruiz believes the Team GB Boxing coach shouldn’t bear the entirety of the criticism.
He added: “You can’t blame everybody. Every fighter has got to take responsibility for themselves.
“It was probably the wrong strategy, and he [Joshua] probably underestimated him like I did with Chris Arreola.
“But we both got caught, but thank God, I pursued and got the W. I think Anthony Joshua is still there and still strong.”
He kind of felt scared and was holding back a little bit.Andy Ruiz Jr on Anthony Joshua’s loss to Oleksandr Usyk
Ruiz – who scored a sensational upset victory over AJ in New York two years ago – believes his old rival was ‘scared’ by Usyk’s slick movement.
The Destroyer said: “He kind of felt scared and was holding back a little bit.
“Maybe it was the lefty of Usyk of his style and how he moves.
“I thought they both could have done better, but congratulations to Usyk.
“There are a lot more opportunities and a lot more we can switch up and have different opponents.”

Joshua, 31, has activated his rematch clause and has vowed to learn from the mistakes he made against his fellow Olympian.
He said: “I’ve watched the fight, analysed my preparations and identified my mistakes.
“I’ve learnt my lesson. Don’t worry about me. My spirit is strong!”

Mexico’s first heavyweight champion is itching to get back into the ring and is currently eying clashes with Adam Kownacki, Luis Ortiz and former IBF titleholder Charles Martin.
He told Fight Hype: “We’re looking at Adam Kownacki, he’s going to be fighting in October.
“There’s Charles Martin, Luis Ortiz. There’s a lot of guys out there for me. I just gotta stay busy and stay active.”
Ruiz’s return is tentatively slated for December, although that’s contingent on him landing an opponent.
The 32-year-old recently underwent surgery on his bothersome right knee but is on the road to recovery.
He said: “I just had surgery, I had a torn meniscus. I was supposed to get operated on it three years ago but I was scared.

“They were giving me medicine for it but the doctor told me that it’s better for me to be operated on.
“I feel good, I feel blessed and hopefully, I should be getting back in there in December.”
Ruiz will be hoping to turn in a far better display later this year than he did in his comeback fight against Arreola, who forced him to take a knee in the second round.
After his hard-fought victory, he said: “Chris is a veteran and a hard puncher. We did what we had to do tonight.
“We got the victory that we wanted. I was at my lowest point and now I have to climb the ladder again. I’m thankful for the victory and I’m ready to move on to the next.

“He got me with a good clean right hand in the second round. I was too overconfident and dropped my hand a bit. Hats off to him.
“We just kept pushing and pushing. I switched up and started focusing on counter-punching and working the body.
“I felt a little rust and I know other fighters can relate to that. If he wants to run it back, we’ll run it back with him.”

But the Watford warrior’s former opponent Wladimir Klitschko reckons he can still reign over the heavyweight division for years to come.
Dr Steelhammer told Sky Sports: “We have seen AJ challenged.
“I remember my time. I lost two fights within [13 months in 2003 and 2004].
“To bounce back? To eventually become one of the longest-reigning champions?
“AJ can still have his time, absolutely. It is all about how to overcome the challenge.”

Klitschko was blown away by his countryman’s performance, saying: “Usyk made history.
“Since 2012, I watched Usyk winning his gold and I watched AJ winning his gold.
“Usyk has been undefeated for such a long time, winning all the titles as a cruiserweight and now with the heavyweights.
    “This man is something special.”
Joshua, 31, has exercised his rematch clause and is expected to renew his rivalry with the former undisputed cruiserweight king in February or March.

“I’ve learnt my lesson. Don’t worry about me. My spirit is strong!”
Joshua is confident of getting the better of Usyk second time around, saying: “Just being a quick learner. Understanding the positive from the negative.
“If you look at it from a negative point of view, you’re never going to have that mindset that you can make a difference because you’re down anyway.
“But if you look at it from a positive point of view, and realise, ‘Yeah, I took a loss.
“‘But that’s a lesson, that’s a blessing. I can use it as fuel to get better.

“‘And use it as fuel to right my wrongs. You can only get better from there.
“So I’m not gonna hold myself down from the mistake I made, I’m only gonna uplift myself and say, ‘Actually, you know what? That was a tough fight.

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3: Date, UK start time, live stream, TV channel, undercard for heavyweight trilogy match

TYSON FURY and Deontay Wilder are ready to go to war for a THIRD time with their long-awaited rematch in Las Vegas and the countdown is ON.The Gypsy King’s showdown with the Bronze Bomber, which was supposed to take place on July 24, was postponed because Fury, as well as other camp members, tested positive for Covid-19.

Fury demolished Wilder inside seven rounds to inflict the first defeat of the American’s career back in February 2020 and win the WBC heavyweight title.
Neither man has fought since then, and both have been busy in longer training camps.
The winner is likely to fight Oleksandr Usyk, who beat Anthony Joshua by unanimous decision in their heavyweight clash to secure the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.
Any match-up between Joshua and Fury now seems remote after AJ’s defeat, but Eddie Hearn promises the pair will go for a rematch.
When is Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3?

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 was originally slated to take place on July 24, but will now take place on October 9.
Expect the main event of Fury vs Wilder 3 at around 4am BST.
The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas plays host and Nevada is eight hours behind the UK, so the fight will begin about 8pm local time.

What TV channel and live stream is Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 on?

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 is being broadcast live on BT Sport Box Office in the UK.
The fight will cost £24.95 on BT.
In the US the event is expected to be live on ESPN+ and Fox PPV.

    How the fighters compare

    Who is on the undercard?
The event, cross-promoted by Top Rank and Premier Boxing Champions, will see a host of heavy-hitters featuring on the undercard.
That includes the battle of unbeaten heavyweights in Cuba’s Frank Sanchez meeting Nigeria’s Efe Ajagba.
Sanchez, a training partner of Canelo Alvarez who is promoted by Top Rank, will put his 18-0 record against PBC’s Ajagba, who stands 15-0.
Robert Helenius will also rematch Adam Kownacki on the bill.
Polish prospect Kownacki, 32, was defeated for the first time and stunned by veteran Helenius, 37, in March 2020.
American star Jared Anderson will return, with an opponent yet to be confirmed.
Anderson, 21, is 9-0 and was credited as a huge part in Fury’s win against Wilder last year.
He provided the Gypsy King with expert sparring Stateside, winning the praise of the WBC champion.

    What have they said?
Fury has recently been talking about how referee Kenny Bayless saved Deontay Wilder’s life in their second clash, despite the Bronze Bomber’s claims the fight was stopped prematurely.
“The final stoppage one was where I was catching him clean, I believe the referee actually saved his life that night and saved his career,” Fury said.
“It was just like ‘I told you so’, and I am back where I belong and that’s it. There was no big miracle shock, it was like I was back where I was supposed to be at the top of the game, rated number one and back beating guys I wasn’t supposed to be beating.
“Physically and emotionally I have managed to push myself and come back from places I didn’t know if I could, but it was a tough ride and I have enjoyed every minute of it.”
Wilder, on the other hand, is more confident than ever he will have his hand raised in their massive trilogy.
“I just want to beat his ass. It’s as simple as that. I just want to beat his ass,” he said.
“I want it back in blood. That’s up to me. Come October 9, I will get my revenge. An eye for an eye, that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
Where is Fury vs Wilder 3 taking place?
Fury vs Wilder 3 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, making it the third different venue in pair’s three fights.
Fury vs Wilder 1 took place at Staples Center in Los Angeles back in December 2018.
The T-Mobile Arena will play host to Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder III
And while their second happened in Las Vegas, the MGM Grand Garden Arena was the venue.
But now the T-Mobile Arena, which has hosted huge fights such as Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor, Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin and numerous big UFC events, will play host for their third clash.
    Who is training Tyson Fury?
Tyson Fury will be trained, once again, by SugarHill Steward, who took his corner for the second Wilder fight.
Fury used to be trained by Ben Davison, who was in charge for the very first Wilder bout, but was replaced by Steward a year later.
Steward instantly implemented his ‘Kronk style’ of training, one in which where boxers who fight out of the Kronk Gym in Detroit, Michigan, seek to put pressure on their opponents to force a knockout.
SugarHill Steward trainer Tyson Fury for the second Deontay Wilder fight
The style of fighting was first introduced by legendary trainer Emanuel Steward, SugarHill’s late uncle.
Fury predicted that with SugarHill in his corner, he would bring the fight to Wilder and take him out during their second fight, a prediction not many believed in.
But the Gypsy King did just that, stopping Wilder in seven rounds. And now, with 18 months more Kronk training under his belt, Fury will be looking for the same result on October 9.
    Who is training Deontay Wilder?
Wilder has brought in a new head trainer in Malik Scott, who the Bronze Bomber fought and knocked out back in 2014.
Scott and Wilder have worked all summer in attempt to sharpen the latter’s boxing skills, quickening both his feet and hands in preparation for Fury.
Wilder will still have ex-head trainer Jay Deas in his corner, but Scott will take charge on fight night.

The Alabama native used to have former world champion Mark Breland in his corner, but he was sacked after Wilder accused him of spiking his water before the second Fury fight.
It was also Breland who threw the towel in, forcing the referee to stop the fight midway through the seventh round. More

New champ Oleksandr Usyk back on school run with son Mikhail just days after masterclass victory over Anthony Joshua

MIKHAIL USYK is much happier now his dad is heavyweight champion of the world — and back on the school run.Ice-cool Oleksandr revealed ahead of Saturday night’s masterclass win over Anthony Joshua he was more worried about his six-year-old son’s nervous start to education than the Brit powerhouse.

And the new WBA, IBF and WBO king told SunSport, despite a few cuts and bruises, he is already back on drop-off duty after schooling AJ at Tottenham.
Dad-of-three Usyk said: “My son goes to school more willingly now because I’ve arrived home and I’m taking him there.
“But, as far as I’m concerned, none of my kids boasts that their dad is world champion. And, honestly, I’m happy about that.”
Joshua has lifted British boxing up by the bootstraps, leaving almost everyone in the industry, including Tyson Fury, gutted by his loss.
But it is still hard to find a single retired or active fighter, pundit, promoter or fan who agreed with his gameplan to outbox the gifted technician.
Even as the rounds slipped away from him, none of AJ’s three-man coaching team ordered him to step on the gas to save his titles, leaving him to limp towards the judges’ unanimous decision.

But Usyk defended Team AJ, explaining: “I don’t think he was boxing safe and hoped that the judges would help him somehow due to the home-soil factor.
“There are many reasons why his team didn’t tell him about a KO.
“When you’re trying to focus too much on knockout, it simply doesn’t happen most of the time.
“Whether he thought about the judges or not — I guess that’s his deal.”
Usyk and AJ both won Olympic gold at London 2012 and are brilliant ambassadors for the sport.

The build-up was typically decent but the mercurial leftie made it very clear that he saw AJ as a normal boxer with nothing to frighten him.
And that should ring alarm bells for AJ who has snapped up an immediate rematch, planned for March, especially as the new king is already making improvements.
When reminded of his assessment, Usyk added: “I stand by what I said.
“It just depends on his efforts and his team. The same goes for us — and we will try our best to progress and become stronger.”
