What boxing icon Lennox Lewis said to Tyson Fury after surprising Gypsy King in dressing room as he got out the shower

BRITISH boxing legend Lennox Lewis congratulated Tyson Fury on his victory in Las Vegas – just as The Gypsy King got out of the shower. Fury was speaking after knocking out Deontay Wilder, but spotted Lewis and shouted: “Come on Lennox get in here!”
Tyson Fury chatted with Lennox Lewis backstage having just gotten out of the shower
Fury had only just stepped out the shower after washing Wilder’s blood from his body when Lewis appeared.
The Gypsy King was wearing only a hat and shorts as the two heavyweight greats shared a few words after Fury’s epic knockout in his trilogy fight with the Bronze Bomber.
In a video posted to Frank Warren’s Twitter account, Lewis approaches Fury and says: “Unbelievable, great fight.
“You showed great heart, great determination and ring IQ. Great job, enjoy it.”
And Fury joked with the three-time world heavyweight champion: “You can’t go swimming and not get wet!”
He then thanked the 56-year-old saying: “Thank you Lennox I really appreciate it, God bless you.”

Lewis won 41 out of his 44 bouts as a professional, beating the likes of Vitali Klitschko, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield in a glittering career.
And the London-born fighter liked what he saw at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
He told Boxing Social: “Oh my God, what a fight. We saw the first fight and it was an amazing fight. We saw the second fight, even more amazing.
“The third was the cap. A great fight by both guys. Tyson Fury obviously came out the victor.
“Tough, back and forth, back and forth. I mean, you could tell they both wanted it, and you could tell they had a lot of heart and they’re both soldiers. Great fight, I’m really happy with it.”
Lewis then went on to label Fury the ‘king’ of the heavyweight division.
When asked about a potential unification bout with Oleksandr Usyk, Lewis gushed: “I think it would be a great fight. Tyson is really big and 6’9. How tall is Usyk?
“It’s going to be a difficult fight for him, but Tyson is a great fighter and a great champion. I think he’s the king of the division right now.”

The Gypsy King shook off two knockdowns and then knocked his nemesis out with a powerful punch to complete his trilogy with the Bronze Bomber.
The British superstar praised his fallen opponent after the match but made it clear there is no rematch clause.
Fury told BBC Sport: “It was a great trilogy, and he is a good dance partner for trilogies.
“Wilder’s been a good dance partner but there’s no rematch clause. It’s actually done.”
Fury is now mandated to take on the victor of Dillian Whyte’s clash with Otto Wallin.
The match, however, is contingent on the undefeated heavyweight being unable to strike a deal to face Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed title within 30 days.

But with Anthony Joshua officially exercising his rematch clause against Usyk, the winner of Whyte vs Wallin is now guaranteed the next shot at the undisputed WBC strap.
In the meantime, the 33-year-old bruiser is enjoying his historic victory as well as his winning record, which has extended to 31 victories.
Fury added: “I’m very proud of my performance and the victory tonight.

“I was given this victory by God again and I’m really, really thankful for it.
“There were some shaky moments in there, but I never lost faith and I continued on, and I carried on and persevered, and I got that single punch knockout .
“You know, as soon as I landed it I jumped on the ropes, I knew it was over, he wasn’t getting back up from that.”

Tyson Fury reveals he ‘nearly broke ankle’ after knocking down Deontay Wilder & admits ‘he wasn’t all there’ in epic win

TYSON FURY stopped Deontay Wilder with a brutal eleventh round knockout in Las Vegas on Saturday night. The Gypsy King also had Wilder down in the third and the tenth, and has claimed he nearly BROKE his ankle in doing so.

After dropping the Bronze Bomber to the canvas for the first time in the third round Fury tripped and almost fell over his huge 6ft 9in frame.
He seemed to roll his ankle nastily and was lucky not to end up on the deck next to the stricken Wilder.
And the 33-year-old has revealed the fight could have over barely before it started – but not because of a knockout blow.
Fury confessed, via iFL TV: “When I hit him with an uppercut, bang in the first [third] round, dropped him, I nearly broke my ankle.
“I went over on my ankle, my ankle’s hurt.”
Fury also went on to claim that he was far from his best in front of the 20,000 fans roaring him on at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Gypsy King admitted: “Today wasn’t my greatest night. Two years out the ring, wasn’t all there completely.
“But I still did enough to be victorious and showed heart and b****s like a lion again.”
The Manchester-born fighter had to twice pick himself up from the canvas in the fourth round and dust himself off to finally put an end to Wilder’s epic resistance in the eleventh.
Wilder showed heroic courage to withstand some mind-boggling blows from Fury but the Briton finally scored the deciding blow in the penultimate round of the bout.
And despite being put down twice in the fourth, Fury insisted he was not hurt at any point.
After winning Fury was asked what was going through his head when he was floored by Wilder.
The Gypsy King replied: “Not a great deal. You going swimming and you’re going to get wet.
“He caught me, he caught me twice in the fourth round. But I was never thinking ‘oh this is over’.
“I was thinking ‘okay good shot but I will get you back in a minute’ and I did.
“I was very conscious, saw the ref go three…four, and I was always there.”

The Gypsy King defended his WBC and Lineal heavyweight titles in Las Vegas after twice getting up from the canvas in the fourth round to floor Wilder in the eleventh.
He will now be ordered to face the winner of Dillian Whyte vs Otto Wallin – meaning a fight for the ages against Anthony Joshua doesn’t seem close.
And Fury has claimed he ‘feels sorry’ for anybody who has to fight him following Saturday night’s textbook knockout.
In a video posted to Twitter by Top Rank Boxing and Premier Boxing Champions, Fury labels himself as a ‘generational’ fighter as he sits with barely a scratch on him.
The Gypsy King declared: “I can only be the best fighter of my day, and I’ve done that.
“I’m the best fighter of my era.

“I’m the generation fighter, I actually feel sorry for all these guys who have had to fight me.
“Because I’m in the dressing room at home I’m not nervous – you know it’s a boxing fight to me.
“I feel sorry for them because they’re fighting the fighter of the generation, that’s for sure.”
His two wins against Wilder as well as his incredible victory over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 have confirmed Fury’s place in boxing’s history books.
And from the press conference Gypsy King Fury was quick to start partying.
He was seen dancing shirtless alongside brother Tommy Fury in a Las Vegas nightclub.
He wowed the crowd with a rendition of American Pie – a Fury favourite he performed in the ring following his last win against Wilder.
The Gypsy King then belted out Sweet Caroline and ACDC’s TNT to go with the rendition of Walking In Memphis he sang in the ring following his victory.
Fury had already proved he meant business pre-fight by giving Wilder the ‘crazy eyes’ seconds before the first bell sounded.
The chilling stare sent shivers down the spines of people watching at home, but backs up Fury’s post fight claims about his status in the sport.

And hours after sending Wilder to the canvas for a third and final time at Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, Fury could be seen living it up at the glitzy Hakkasan nightclub.
Taking his place in the DJ booth alongside pal Steve Aoki, a shirtless Fury serenaded the crowd with a selection of his now famous victory songs.
First on the karaoke playlist was American Pie – a Fury favourite he has performed in the ring following previous wins.
The 33-year-old then belted out versions of Sweet Caroline and ACDC’s TNT to go with the rendition of Walking In Memphis he sang in the ring hours earlier.
It wasn’t long before Fury was then up on the DJ booth, sending the crowd into a frenzy with some shadow boxing and long-limbed dance moves.
Fury was joined at the Hakkasan venue by his brother Tommy and wife Paris, and the rest of his sparring squad.

He partied with trainer SugarHill Steward, who he credited with saying the magic words that inspired him to knock-out Wilder deep in the 11th round.
Hakkasan played host to Fury’s previous victory celebrations after his first win over Wilder back in February last year.
Aoki was also on the decks that night as he played chief cheerleader in the Fury entourage.
While the victor danced the night away, Wilder was sent to hospital for precautionary checks following the savage beating he took on Saturday.
The Bronze Bomber was on the floor three times despite scoring two knockdowns of his own and he ultimately had no match for the Brit’s power.

Fans mock Deontay Wilder on social media over brutal loss to Tyson Fury and American’s excuses before AND after fight

The final blow sent Wilder sprawling to the canvas, with fans quick to use the image of him on the floor at his expense.
Creative fans have been crafting hilarious memes mocking the Bronze Bomber following Fury’s mammoth knockout punch.
One Twitter user edited a teddy bear inside Wilder’s arms as he lay sprawled out on the deck, poking fun at Fury sending his opponent to sleep.
Another ridiculed Wilder’s face after taking Fury’s punches, taunting the Bronze Bomber that the facial recognition on his phone is unlikely to work after the vicious knockout.
Meanwhile others created rib-tickling memes relating to the Netflix sensation Squid Game.
One showed Wilder being held up by the character Ali – in what is a hilarious recreation of one of the scenes from the show.

The Bronze Bomber was taken to hospital as a precaution after the fight but didn’t have to stay overnight.
And reacting to a second defeat to Fury the 35-year-old has claimed he doesn’t know ‘what happened’.
He said: “I did my best, but it wasn’t good enough tonight. I’m not sure what happened.
“I know that in training he did certain things, and I also knew that he didn’t come in at 277 pounds to be a ballet dancer.
“He came to lean on me, try to rough me up and he succeeded.”
Some Wilder fans though have insisted the Bronze Bomber was ‘robbed’ after the referee seemed to allow Fury longer than ten seconds to recover after being knocked down in the fourth.
One said: “I understand Wilder got outboxed but are we all gonna ignore Fury’s 12 count. Ref says five, stops counting for three seconds, then says six.”
Another agreed: “If the ref didn’t give Fury 10-year count it would be a different story.”

Deontay Wilder’s pre-fight ‘s***house move’ to delay Tyson Fury fight backfires spectacularly after he was knocked out

DEONTAY WILDER’S pre-fight ‘s***-house’ move to delay his bout with Tyson Fury backfired spectacularly. The Bronze Bomber was knocked spark out in the 11th round by the Gypsy King and fans were quick to poke fun at the American’s bizarre pre-fight ritual after the defeat.

Fury floored the American three times in Las Vegas – with the third and final time bringing their long-running rivalry to a close as the ref waved the fight off.
Wilder, 35, was well in the contest in the early stages and even had Fury on the deck himself twice in the fourth round before the Alabama ace ran out of steam.
It was arguably Wilder’s best performance in the trilogy but some post-fight focus was on his antics in the dressing room beforehand.
As challenger, Wilder had to enter the ring first.
But live footage showed him dawdling in the dressing room surrounded by his entourage.
Wilder was seen standing with his team in a silent circle as someone appeared to serenade or preach to the Bronze Bomber who had his head bowed.

And he also underwent a last-minute change of gloves moments before he was due to walk out.
While all this was going on, Fury was left in his own changing room, pacing around, bobbing, weaving and playing air guitar.
When Wilder finally emerged he had ditched the battery-powered 40lbs costume he wore last time out and blamed for sapping his energy.
Instead he was draped in claret red, the colour he has claimed to favour all week to celebrate his quest for Fury’s blood.
The mask remained – and it’s that theatrical accessory he claims helps transform him from a loving father-of-eight to the Bronze Bomber who wants a body on his record.
Meanwhile, Fury arguably won the battle of the ring walks moments later when he walked out dressed as a Spartan soldier to the tune of ACDC’s ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’.
BT Sport’s commentators labelled Wilder’s move a ‘psychological’ one.
While fans online were more direct.
    One called them ‘s***-house tactics’.
Another said: “S***housing, got to love a bit of s***housing.”
Speaking after his defeat, Wilder said: “I did my best, but it wasn’t good enough tonight. I’m not sure what happened.
“I know that in training he did certain things, and I also knew that he didn’t come in at 277lbs to be a ballet dancer.

UFC legend Daniel Cormier BLASTS ref for ‘crazy slow’ count after Tyson Fury was knocked down twice by Deontay Wilder

DANIEL CORMIER was left fuming after he claimed the ref gave Tyson Fury too much time to recover from a Deontay Wilder knockdown. The UFC legend raged at what he saw as a slow count from Russell Mora with Fury gasping for air on the canvas.
Tyson Fury took time to compose himself before getting off the canvas
He was initially floored after Deontay Wilder landed a huge right hand
Wilder himself had recovered from being knocked down in the third round of their trilogy bout at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
The Bronze Bomber responded by sending Fury to the deck twice in the fourth – only for The Gypsy King to clamber back to his feet before the 10-count.
And Cormier hinted at foul play as he watched along with fight fans around the world.
He tweeted: “The count was crazy slow. (The referee) isn’t supposed to stop counting to tell Deontay to go to his corner.”
Two huge shots from Wilder sent his opponent to the floor in quick succession but Fury was upright by the count of eight.

Boxing guidelines state the ref should stop the count if a fighter moves away from his neutral corner.
After scoring his first knockdown, Wilder was told to go to a neutral corner but instead headed to his own – something that could have delayed the count.
Cormier was not the only viewer to raise issues with the officiating as Wilder fans leapt to their man’s defence online.
One video posted online appears to show Fury fall to the canvas and get up ten seconds later – with the ref only counting up to seven in that time.
The Brit recovered from those early setbacks to knock-out his American rival with a brutal right-hand deep in the 11th round.
