Fans claims Tyson Fury fight with Deontay Wilder was FIXED after ‘referee’s ten count lasted for 16 SECONDS’

A NUMBER of fans have claimed Tyson Fury’s stunning victory over Deontay Wilder was fixed. The Gypsy King defeated the Bronze Bomber in the 11th round in the most exciting heavyweight battle for years.

The rollercoaster battle saw Wilder get knocked down in the third round of their trilogy bout at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
But he responded by sending Fury to the deck twice in the fourth – only for the champ to clamber back to his feet before the ten-count.
Two huge shots from Wilder sent his opponent to the floor in quick succession but Fury was upright by the count of eight.
However, UFC legend Daniel Cormier claimed that referee Russell Mora’s count was ‘crazy slow’.
And several more people took to social media to claim that the fight had been fixed.
One tweeted: “Tyson Slow Count Fury. Fixed fight.”

Another wrote: “The ref didn’t even count the second knockdown! He got to 6!!!!!!! Boxing is fixed.”
While a staunch fan of the defeated American said: “@BronzeBomber really wasnt going up against just @Tyson_Fury, he dead a** just fought the WHOLE BOXING COMMISSION!! He fought fury AGAIN with TAMPERED GLOVES and a REFEREE THAT LITERALLY GAVE FURY 16 SECONDS TO GET OFF THE CANVAS! SMH KEEP UR HEAD UP WILDER! U A WARRIOR!!!”
UFC superstar Dustin Poirier tweeted: “That was a slow count … we gotta fight!”
While journalist Steven Loung wrote: “Tremendous heart from Wilder. That second knockdown count was real slow. This fight probably should be over.”
Boxing guidelines state the ref should stop the count if a fighter moves away from his neutral corner.
After scoring his first knockdown, Wilder was told to go to a neutral corner but instead headed to his own – something that could have delayed the count.
After climbing to his feet to beat the count, Fury was spent sprawling back to the mat with seconds of the round remaining.
But his resilience was on display however, beating Mora’s count for the second time to ensure the fight would go on.
And the Brit recovered from those early setbacks to knock out his American rival with a brutal right-hand deep in the 11th round.

Tyson Fury aged 10 dressed as Rambo for World Book Day at school where teacher remembers him being ‘so kind and caring’

WHEN Tyson Fury beat Deontay Wilder in their trilogy, he drew ‘First Blood’.But when he was a 10-year-old schoolboy at Styal Primary School, the Gypsy King dressed up as Sylvester Stallone’s famous character, John Rambo for World Book Day.

The people’s champion, who brutally knocked out Wilder in round 11, attended the school in Cheshire till the age of 11 from 1993.
And the 33 year old is remembered fondly by a former teacher, who called him “kind and caring” during his time there.
However, while he worked hard in the classroom, he never managed to hand in any homework.
“Tyson started first in the infants and came into my class aged nine so I taught him,” his now retired teacher Jane Foddy told the Knutsford Guardian.
“The first thing I remember was his stature he was much bigger than all the other children. Even when he was aged six he looked like a 10 year old.
“I taught him all the subjects and he was so kind and caring with all the other younger children which was really nice to see.”

    JOHN RAMBO
But it was on World Book Day when Fury, recognised as one of the showman of the ring, came into his own.

Dressed up as macho Vietnam war vet Rambo, wearing a sleeveless top and a headband scarf, he stood at the front of the class and told his fellow pupils he was going to be a king of the ring.
“Tyson came as Rambo and said he was going to be a famous boxer,” Foddy said in Channel 5 documentary Tyson Fury: The Rise and Fall of the Gypsy King.
“We didn’t mind that Rambo wasn’t a book character. The fact that Tyson came to school dressed up and had a reason for dressing up as Rambo was just fabulous.”
    TARGETED BY BULLIES
Through his school life, Fury’s size made him a target for other pupils who taunted him about his giant frame.
It would’ve been easy for the lanky kid to retaliate with his fists, however he learned to ignore the bullies.
Jane revealed: “Because he was so big the boys teased him because of his size and early on he learnt to control his temper by turning the other cheek and walking away.”
    LIVED FOR SPORT
Early on, the school helped Manchester United fan Fury develop a love for sport.
And he also enjoyed school trips, where he got to show off his strength doing outdoor activities. But he always told Jane he was going to be a professional boxer.

“He really enjoyed to play football but because it was such a small school all the children male and female played all sports, which also included netball and rounders.
“Another time when we we went on a school trip with outdoor activities which he really loved and included rock climbing and abseiling.
“However, he used to say to me that he was going to be a boxer when he grew up and one day was going to be a world champion.”
Although he was the model pupil when he was in school, getting Tyson to do his homework was a hard task.
“He left school at 11. He worked hard in the classroom, but didn’t do homework, or that sort of thing, so the education he had was limited to what he did in school,” Foddy revealed.
    RECENT VISIT
Despite leaving over 20 years ago, Fury still has fond memories of Styal Primary School.
In fact, before Foddy retired he managed to pop in for a visit.
“When he came into school he told me about his boxing and to remind me that he had lovely memories of going to Styal Primary.
“He said one of his aims had always been to be taller than me (6ft), and indeed, he had beaten that (6ft, 9in)!”
Fury visited former teacher Jane Foddy before her retirementCredit: Channel 5
And since her retirement, Foddy has been keeping a close eye on Tyson’s career, where he currently reigns as WBC champion.
“I remember thinking crikey, he is going somewhere with his boxing and it was nice to think a lad from our school was succeeding,” she said.
“He used to talk about being a boxer when he dressed up as Rambo and then he became a boxer and now he is world champion, thus achieving his dream.
“I know that all the teachers who taught him are very proud of him.”
Fury has spoken in the past about Styal Primary School, which is rated “outstanding” by Ofsted.
“The school I went to had 47 kids in it. It was a really posh primary school – Prince Charles even visited us,” Fury said.
“There was no racial prejudice or abuse or anything.”

“Not the fam in the ring fake celebrating after a freak injury etc etc you know the gig, God bless the real in this world.
“Congrats Tyson and Paris. Me and Dee are so happy for you and the kids. Congrats Deontay and Telli also.
“Was great meeting you guys recently. A real proud showing that was, and could have went either way.
“Amazing! Happy Sunday now today with the cheddar and the memory’s God bless.”
The ‘freak accident’ McGregor referred to was the broken leg he suffered in his UFC 264 trilogy fight with Poirier in July.
The former two-division champion shattered his left tibia and fibula in the final seconds of the first round of the Sin City showdown.
McGregor, 33, is making a faster than expected recovery and already feels capable of throwing one of his wide array of kicks.
Last month, the Irishman told YouTuber Adam’s Apple: “I feel like I could kick right now.

Anthony Joshua beating Usyk is only thing that can motivate Tyson Fury again who needs long break, says Richie Woodhall

TYSON FURY has been told to have a long break by Richie Woodhall, who fears he may only be motivated by Anthony Joshua beating Oleksandr Usyk. Fury retained his WBC title after 11 gruelling rounds with Deontay Wilder, which ended with a brutal knockout.

He is now set to face the winner between Dillian Whyte and Otto Wallin, who will become WBC mandatory after their October 30 fight.
But former world champion Woodhall thinks Joshua, who lost to Usyk in September but is set for a rematch, is still Fury’s true target.
He told told BBC 5 Live: “My concerns are not only for Wilder but for Tyson as well
“The only thing that beats Tyson, for me, is himself in terms of complacency. Lennox Lewis got complacent twice and got beaten twice.
“Complacency can creep into any boxer, so I’m a little bit worried there about what’s going to motivate him now to come back.
“Maybe an AJ fight, if he can beat Usyk, that would sell and motivate Tyson Fury.
“They’re talking about Dillian Whyte, but Tyson needs a good long break now.”

Joshua, 31, and Fury, 33, were set for an undisputed title decider in August until Wilder, 35, won his right to a trilogy bout in arbitration.
AJ was then beaten by Usyk, 34, on points but his promoter Eddie Hearn recently confirmed his right to a rematch has been invoked.
It leaves Fury with 30 days to negotiate a WBC mandatory title defence with the winner of Whyte, 33, and Wallin, 30, who lost to the Gypsy King in 2019.

And testing himself inside the ring is something the Ultimate Fighter season five winner wants to tick off his bucket list before his story is all said and done.
The Stockton slugger told BT Sport: “I’ve always been wanting to box. I’ve just been stuck in a cage.”
Diaz, 36, was ringside for Tyson Fury’s epic trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder last weekend – which the Gypsy King won via a stunning 11th-round knockout.
The future UFC Hall-of-Famer said of the bout: “I thought it was a good fight, an entertaining fight. I’m glad I came, it was cool to watch.”
The former lightweight title challenger was left impressed by the immense heart Fury showed to get up from two brutal knockdowns.
He said: “It was good. I saw it slowly coming, but it was good because they had a little back-and-forth in the beginning. So it’s cool.”

But she’s now letting her hair down after his 11th round knockout, with the couple spending the rest of the weekend partying in Sin City.
Paris and Fury enjoyed a relaxing meal together following his heroics before the champ ramped up the celebrations at a wild Vegas pool party.
Speaking about her trip to the US, Paris posted on Instagram: “What a night . . . what a fight! The last 48 hours have been epic and I’m still on cloud nine.
“It meant everything to be there with Tyson, he’s worked so hard for this and he brought it home like the great champion he is!
“It won’t be long till We’re back to reality and the school run but for now this is definitely one of the highs of being a boxer’s wife.
“And not long till Love and Fury (Paris’s book on life with Tyson) is out too.”

The celebrations come after a difficult build-up to the trilogy fight for the Fury family.
First Tyson tested positive for coronavirus, meaning the initial July 24 date for the fight – which only came about after a court ordered it to take place – was scrapped.
And then the Gypsy King, 33, and Paris faced a fearful few days after the birth of their baby daughter, who went into ICU but was thankfully discharged.
The rollercoaster prepartions were capped off with a stunning performance by Fury.

He dropped Wilder, 35, three times, but had to twice get off the canvas in round four, before closing the show in style with one round to go.
Fury will soon return home to Lancashire, where baby Athena, sons Prince John James, Prince Tyson Fury II, Prince Adonis Amaziah and daughters Valencia and Venezuela will wait for him.
He also knows his next fight will be the winner of Dillian Whyte, 33, versus Otto Wallin, 30, at the end of the month.

Five next opponents for Deontay Wilder after Tyson Fury loss including Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz Jr and Joyce showdowns

DEONTAY WILDER is at a career crossroads after being destroyed by Tyson Fury in their trilogy fight. The Bronze Bomber was KOd in the eleventh-round of their epic clash at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.
Andy Ruiz Jr would make for an incredibly fan-friendly fight for Deontay WilderCredit: Getty
Despite knocking the Gypsy King down twice in the fourth, he ran out of steam and was pummelled by the Brit.
It comes after a bruising lose previously and a draw before that as their feud finally came to an end.
But what’s next for the 35-year-old former Olympian after two career-sapping defeats on the bounce?
SunSport looks at five possible opponents for the American slugger if he decides not to retire.
    ANTHONY JOSHUA
Joshua is all-set to face Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch next year after losing his belts last month.
Promoter Eddie Hearn claims he has already triggered his contract clause, but that has not been confirmed by the governing bodies yet.
What if the Brit and Wilder were finally were to get it on with both off the back of losses and the winner taking on the Fury against Usyk victor?

    ANDY RUIZ JR
Since losing his world title in a rematch to Joshua in 2019, Ruiz Jr has fought just the once.
That was a fight with Mexican Chris Arreola, which he eventually won via unanimous decision.
A fight with Wilder – also a boxer who comes forward throwing bombs – seems like a potential fight of the year candidate.
    DILLIAN WHYTE
If Whyte comes through a tough fight against Otto Wallin on 30 October, he will be mandatory to fight Fury.
The Brixton man has had topsy-turvy run to get his shot at the Gypsy King, following a loss to Alexander Povetkin.
But the Fury could look elsewhere, and with Whyte and Wilder two men who slug it out, it would make for a fan friendly encounter.

Joyce is not getting any younger and needs to step up to the world class level quickCredit: Getty
    JOE JOYCE
Joyce showed he is a force in the division after destroying up-and-coming banger Daniel Dubois last year.
He went on to beat Carlos Takam and is the mandatory for Usyk’s WBO belt – who is tied up with a Joshua rematch.
At 36 years old, the former Olympian hasn’t got long left, so a make-or-break fight with Wilder makes sense.
    FILIP HRGOVIC
Hrgovic is an up-and-coming unbeaten star and seen as one of the dominant forces of the future.
The Croat is 13-0, but has not stepped up the world class level that he needs to take his career to the next step.
A fight with Wilder – off the back of a loss – works for both men. Its sink of swim for either.

And the Gypsy King reassured the racing boss – who was celebrating twice this weekend following the Turkish GP – that he would do a number on American rival Wilder.
Reported by the Daily Mail, Fury told Horner: “Don’t worry, I’m gonna smash him.”
His prediction came true, but only after 11 sensational rounds in Las Vegas.
Fury, 33, dropped Wilder, 35, in the fourth and looked on the road to an easy night’s work.
But in the following round disaster struck as he was twice put down and left fighting to keep his belt.
Fury soon regained control and in the tenth dropped Wilder, signalling the beginning of the end.

He knows his next fight will be the winner of Dillian Whyte, 33, versus Otto Wallin, 30, at the end of the month.
