      Legendary cornerman Knight fears for Deontay Wilder against Tyson Fury after employing pal Malik Scott as trainer

      DEONTAY WILDER needs to set aside friendships if he’s to have any chance of finally defeating Tyson Fury.That’s the view of legendary trainer Harold Knight, who says the appointment of Wilder’s friend Malik Scott as his head coach could spell trouble for the Bronze Bomber.

      The pair teamed up earlier this year to prepare for the highly anticipated trilogy bout with Fury.
      And Knight – who coached Scott and has worked with Dillian Whyte and Lennox Lewis – warned Wilder he needs to stay businesslike ahead of Saturday’s showdown.
      Knight told MyBettingSites: “From experience and being around Malik for a long time, it’s a fine line between friendship and business.
      “If Malik can keep it business rather than friendship with Wilder, I believe they can do some good things.
      “This is business, this is high stakes boxing, this is world championship boxing, legacy is on the line.

      “If you are a friend of the guy you train, you are going to tell him what he wants to hear instead of what he needs to hear.
      “It does not work like that. You want to be going in training camp and say: ‘I like you and respect you but I’m not going to tell you what you want to hear.’
      “This is what I hope Malik has done. Generally you want to eliminate fanboys, you want to have people around you that are going to take you to another level.”
      Wilder fought Scott back in 2014 and was keen to turn their friendship professional after sacking Mark Breland for throwing in the towel during his last meeting with Fury.

      The 35-year-old goes into the Las Vegas fight with a record of one draw and a loss to the Gypsy King – but Knight cautioned against seeing Scott as his saviour.
      He added: “Malik hasn’t been in the corner before as head trainer, but you have to start somewhere.
      “When you get to this world championship level, legacy on the line, how you react in the corner is important: what you tell your guy when he’s losing or winning.
      “If you lose this you’re done, so you want to be able to pull out all the stops in this fight.”

      Fury has been throwing plenty of verbal jabs the Bronze Bomber’s way ahead of their T-Mobile Arena tussle.
      But the Brit has taken the mental warfare to the next level with his stool for fight night.
      Between rounds, Fury, 33, will sit on a stool with a picture of himself clubbing Wilder in their rematch last February.
      And to rub even more salt into the wounds, the phrase ‘big dosser’ is emblazoned around the snap.
      Boxing fans were quick to comment, with one saying: “The dosser stool.”
      Another said: “Okay I think this is actually pretty funny, Wilder should have one with Fury laid out.”

      And another said: “Should do a spit bucket the same.”
      One remarked: “That’s hilarious.”
      Fury battered Wilder from pillar to post in their rematch last February, forcing the American’s corner to throw in the towel in the seventh round.
      And the Brit is determined to turn in an even better display third time around.
      Speaking after his grand arrival outside of the T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday night, Fury vowed: “I am going to knock him out, quick time.
      “I think he’s a real piece of s**t, a real piece of garbage.
      “For that I might do it slow, I might take my beating him up and make him quit. I might force him to say, ‘No mas.'”
      Wilder, meanwhile, is hellbent on avenging his sole loss, saying: “I see me beating him up and then knocking him out.

      And just like in his first fight against Deontay Wilder, the Gyspy King hit the deck after being floored by a looping right hook in the second round.
      Fury was sent crashing to the canvas after being caught flush, but he rose up before delivering a savage hook of his own to end the contest in the seventh round.
      It remains Cunningham’s only ever knockout defeat from his 40-fight career.
      WBC heavyweight king Fury has compared Cunningham to Oleksandr Usyk after the Ukrainian outpointed Anthony Joshua to win the WBA, WBO and IBF belts.
      Speaking to BT Sport about AJ’s rematch against Usyk, Fury offered to train his British compatriot for free.

      British legend Frank Bruno backs Tyson Fury to ‘do some damage’ to Deontay Wilder in trilogy due to FOUR STONE advantage

      FRANK BRUNO has backed a bulky Tyson Fury to ‘do some damage’ to Deontay Wilder in their trilogy fight. Bruno weighed a massive 17st 6lb during his heroic reign as WBC heavyweight champion.

      But Fury in his rematch against Wilder in February 2020 scaled as heavy as 19st 5lb before winning in seven rounds.
      American Wilder is a small heavyweight even for Bruno’s era, and could give away as much as FOUR STONE to Fury in their trilogy bout on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
      And despite having some of the heaviest hands ever, with a 93 per cent knockout ratio, Bruno warned it is only a matter of time before history repeats itself in Sin City.
      He said: “He’s dangerous for the first four to six rounds but then after I think Tyson will weigh him down and do some damage to him. 
      “He’s 15 stone Wilder, borderline 16 stone, don’t forget Tyson Fury is coming in 19 stone. 
      “That’s four stone over his opponent, and some people moan over one pound on the scale, if you’re a welterweight or middleweight.

      “If your opponent’s not exactly 11st 6, then you’d have to go and use the sauna. Fury has got that advantage.

      Fury, 33, drew to Wilder, 35, in 2018 after twice being floored despite dominating the rest of the action.
      But in their rematch two years later, he went on the offensive, scoring two knockdowns of his own before the towel was rightfully thrown in.
      Fury spoke to Bruno about his two prior fights with Wilder at the launch of Wow Hydrate’s new store in Oxford Street.
      He said: “My first fight I was boxing with slick moves, dancing around and all that.
      “In round 12 I realised what I had to do in the second fight to beat him.

      “I phoned up Sugarhill Steward and said look I wanna have aggressive style training and I said I want a knock out in this fight.
      “I don’t want to box. I want to go knock him out. And he laughed and he said well so do I. I want to knock him out too.
      “And I think me and him were the only two people who really believed I was going to knock Wilder out. He is as crazy as me. I’m crazy.
      “But he is as crazy as me, every bit as crazy. And we worked on it and we just went straight back to basics. Worked on simple boxing one, two.
      “I went in camp with a clear mind, I left everything in England. And I went over there. I had my full team out in Vegas for the full duration.
      “And it was a great camp. I was injury-free. Which is the most important thing.”

      Heard told talkSPORT: “I think AJ is humble in defeat, he feels a responsibility to act like that.
      “It couldn’t be further away from reality. Actually I’d like him to lose some of that humble-ness sometimes.
      “But he’s sulking, that’s the reality. I’ve been with him a couple of times and he’s fixated with the mistakes he made.
      “He’s frustrated, he’s disappointed, he’s gutted. All he can think about is how he can improve.”
      Joshua was outclassed by Usyk and will need to improve significantly if he’s to regain his belts in the rematch, set to take place in early 2022.
      Tyson Fury, 33, has offered to train AJ for FREE ahead of the second fight, while Fury’s promoter Frank Warren reckons the Brit will lose AGAIN.

      Ricky Hatton has also expressed doubts about Joshua’s ability to stop Usyk and Mike Tyson admitted he was stunned at how humble AJ was in defeat.
      But Hearn believes his client can win, adding: “He got the gameplan wrong, he didn’t box great, was his preparation good enough?
      “Again, you have to look at Usyk as well, he was brilliant. People are now saying Usyk is pound-for-pound No 1, it’s either Usyk or Canelo.
      “So you’ve just lost a decision to a pound-for-pound great.
      “Don’t beat yourself up but the frustrating thing is we know he can do so much better.

      And show he be victorious, the WBC champion – said to be worth around £40million – could add to his impressive car collection.
      Over the years, Fury has been seen behind the wheel of a beautiful Ferrari GTC4Lusso worth around £250,000.
      But on the opposite end of the scale, the heavyweight boxer has also squeezed his giant 6ft 9in frame into a 1993 Mini Cooper that would’ve cost not more than £10,000.
      Here’s a look inside Tyson’s motors through the years.
      THE FASTEST
      Fury is a big fan of the Ferrari brand, having previously owned a California which he sold to a pal.
      His GTC4Lusso is the priciest car in his garage, which has a value of around £250,000.
      He added it in 2019, after he confirmed his second fight with the Bronze Bomber.
      It’s a speedy supercar too – able to hit 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds.

      THE MOST EXPENSIVE
      The Rolls-Royce Phantom is one of the classiest motors you can get.
      And, of course, it comes with a hefty £360,000 price tag that only the mega-rich can afford.
      Fury had one, regularly posing on social media with it over the years.
      However, he sold it when he suffered with depression and his life spiralled out of control.

      LOVES A ROLLER
      Fury also owned a Rolls-Royce Cullinan alongside his brilliant Phantom.
      But again, with the trappings of fame and wealth too much to stand, he decided to flog it.
      The Wythenshawe fighter even posted an emotional video on YouTube waving goodbye to the motor as it left his drive.
      He claimed to have swapped it for a used Volkswagen Passat that cost him £500.

      MOST RIDICULOUS
      Everybody knows a Mini Cooper isn’t exactly the roomiest vehicle on the market.
      Worse still, if you are as tall as 6ft 9in and weigh around 20 stone, it’ll be a tight a squeeze fitting into one.
      But that didn’t bother Tyson, who was seen in a £10,000 Mini Cooper driving around Morecambe.
      He even, unashamedly, shared an image giving the thumbs up inside the British icon.

      ITALIAN STALLION
      He matches cars with his mate, Billy Joe Saunders.
      In 2019, Tyson showed off his red Ferrari Portofino motor, alongside Saunders’ similar model in a car park.
      The Portofino usually retails at around £170,000 for a base model.
      Astonishingly, it has a top speed of 198 mph.

      OUT OF RANGE
      As Tyson began his recovery from mental health issues and substance issues, he treated himself to a Range Rover.
      But, he wasn’t going to get any old Range Rover – splashing the cash on a £65,000 Sport SVR.
      Even better, he got it wrapped in camo.

      NICE WAGON
      In 2016, Fury was spotted driving a Mercedes-AMG G class SUV.
      The £160,000 is one of the most luxurious vehicles around and is favoured by plenty of Premier League stars.
      Fury’s is personalised with blacked out windows, with one having an etching of his famous nickname’s initial ‘GK’.

      Fury, 33, lives in a £550,000 home in Morecambe.
      A modest value considering his £70m net worth.
      And he is set to pocket a further £20m from Saturday night’s battle with Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas.
      But Fury reckons he doesn’t need the money to lead the life that makes him happy.
      He told BBC 5 Live: “I’m not fighting to become the greatest of all time or to become a legend in the game.
      “I’m not fighting for anything, I’m not fighting for a few more quid.

      “It won’t benefit me at all to earn another £50m or another £250m.
      “You could live my lifestyle if you had £10k.
      “You don’t need to be rich to live how I live.
      “I live a normal lifestyle, I’m just a normal person who happens to be very good at boxing and a very special chosen person.”
      Many wealthy athletes splash their cash on luxury homes and flashy cars.
      But Fury’s tastes are much less decadent and the WBC champ says he takes joy out of old bangers rather than supercars.
      He added: “Everyone wants to elevate in life to something better than they already are, but I don’t.
      “I’m one of them freaks who wants to stay the same old person.
      “I get most joy out of jumping in an old Transit van and driving it down the road than I would do jumping in a £250k Ferrari.
      “Or I can go and give £500 for an old car like a [Volkswagen] Passat or something, and people say ‘why are you driving this piece of junk?’ but it’s not to me, I like that.
      “Crazy person I suppose.”
      ‘NORMAL, HUMBLE MAN’
      Fury added: “You can always find happiness in simple things. If you always go back to your roots you can always find happiness.”
      Many expect global superstars to leave their home towns and lay roots in more stylish and expensive parts of the world, but not Fury.
      He explained: “I’m staying where I am in Morecambe in Lancashire. And I’m happy with it. I don’t need to go anywhere else.
      “I’m a normal humble type of man. I roam around Morecambe and I go to the gym and back twice a day.
      “And if I go on one holiday a year, great.
      “I hate holidays. Can’t stand then in my sight. I’m a workaholic, I love being at work.”
      Given his obvious natural talent, Fury only wants to be a boxer and said nothing else gives him joy.
      But once he has retired, the dad of six wants to be left alone with his family but fears he will be sad and lonely once he hangs up his gloves.
      He said: “My job is not physical like manual labouring but it’s very physical and mentally stimulating.
      “It’s what I do. I don’t want to do anything else. I don’t want to be a property developer or a car dealer. I just want to be what I am.
      ‘I’M GOING TO BE LONELY AND SAD’
      “What’s motivating me? It’s definitely not a few quid and it’s definitely not winning more fights. It’s the fact there’s nothing else.
      “[I do it] because I can and I don’t enjoy doing anything else.
      “After boxing I’m going to be a very lonely and sad person.
      “I’ll never be a politician or the prime minister or a rocket scientist or the president of the United States, what I’ll always be is myself.
