Tyson Fury ‘in touch with Vince McMahon all the time’ as champ’s wife Paris says WWE return is ‘definitely’ happening

TYSON FURY is ‘in touch with Vince McMahon all the time’, according to his wife Paris. And the boxer’s other half reckons the Gypsy King’s return to the WWE is ‘definitely happening’.
Paris Fury says her husband Tyson is definitely set to return to WWECredit: Instagram
Fury has already tasted victory as a wrestler after beating Braun Strowman via count out in October 2019’s Crown Jewel.
And his wife said there is no doubt he will do it again ‘to be that cool dad’.
Paris told BBC Newcastle: “He is in touch with Vince McMahon all the time.
“He loves it. My sons are all big fans of it.
“For Tyson to do it is kind of like a Disneyland trip, the kids love to go and they meet all the wrestlers.
“To be that cool dad that can give his kids that dream, he does it.

“I think that’s one of the reasons we’ve come to do this, and obviously, being a young man, he told me he was a fan of all these wrestlers.
“So he’s definitely probably going to go into that again.
“I’m sure he will bounce into that WWE ring one of the days.”
Fury is said to have banked £12million from his WWE appearance.
And he made sure his first-ever wrestling entrance was one to remember as he came out to The Isley Brothers’ ‘It’s Your Thing’.
The ever-charismatic Brit also arrived to the ring dressed in a traditional Arabic thawb dress, to the delight of the Saudi crowd in Riyadh.
Fury had weighed in an incredible NINE STONE lighter than his WWE opponent Strowman and it showed early on as the heavyweight boxer was forced into the corner.
But the Gypsy King soon showed off his newly-developed skill-set with a roll-through, kip-up and a side-headlock before several trademark shots to the body.

At one point, Fury even proved his athletic prowess by countering Strowman’s shoulder tackle with an assisted dropkick.
The two soon ended up on the outside of the ring, with the Monster Among Men barging Fury over twice in succession.
Yet on the third, the lineal champion was able to unleash the ‘Dosser Drop’ on Strowman and flatten him for a count-out victory.

Asked what his future holds by IFL TV, Joshua said: “If the fans can’t see I would take these fights with the fighters like Wilder in a heartbeat,.
“And I want people to know that I would fight anyone in their prime or anytime.

“I think Wilder fought (Tyson) Fury thinking it was going to be easier than his previous fights and got caught in a trilogy web.
“But would I fight Wilder, yes I would.”
When asked what would motivate the Bronze Bomber, 36 – Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel exclusively revealed to SunSport that his client would be interested in a showdown with AJ.
He said: “My gut says the big fights. It’s not on the drawing board now, but he would love to get Fury back again.
“But again, it’s early and we have to get through Usyk and Joshua and see a couple of other possibilities.
“It’s a massive fight [Wilder vs Joshua], no matter what happens in the Joshua – Usyk fight.
“And I’m not sure that Usyk, even with his great skills, will be able to deal with the size of Fury.”

Wilder’s famous right hand is set for surgery, after suffering a gruelling injury against the Gypsy King.
Finkel continued: “Deontay broke his right hand behind the third knuckle and he has to have that fixed next week.

Mayweather looked content in a grey tracksuit as he rode atop a red bicycle.
But whether he’s in training mode for another fight remains to be seen.
Mayweather’s last fight saw him take on Logan Paul in an eight-round exhibition in June.
The YouTuber took the 50-0 icon all the way in Miami, with no winner declared.
And SunSport revealed earlier this month Mayweather is now in contract talks to fight brother Jake.
Mayweather is fuming after Jake allegedly sent his on-off girlfriend Anna Monroe a ‘disrespectful’ private message.

A source told The Sun: “Floyd has been telling pals he’s had enough of Jake Paul.
“He thinks he’s destroying the sport of boxing by being disrespectful about great boxers and saying he wants to be world champion.
“Then when he saw Jake had private messaged Anna – that was the final straw.
“He believes Jake did it to get under his skin and to disrespect him.
“The message was about how Anna needs a real man not a cheat – referring to the pictures of Floyd and his ex.

“And he apparently told her that Floyd was scared of him after fighting his brother Paul and how he would destroy him.
“Jake was clearly doing in it to get in Floyd’s head but Floyd isn’t letting it go.
“Floyd wants to get the fight sorted now, he’s in training and in talks over contracts. He knows the only way to shut Jake up is in the ring.”
But one bout in the books for December is a charity basketball match against Manny Pacquiao.
It could happen at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the scene of their 2015 fight which Mayweather won on points.
And it remains the most lucrative bout of all time, selling a US record 4.6million pay-per-views.

Tyson Fury set to be ordered to fight Dillian Whyte at WBC convention in November and fight could happen in February

EDDIE HEARN says he expects Tyson Fury to be officially ordered by the WBC to defend his world title against Dillian Whyte. The Gypsy King retained his belt with an epic victory over Deontay Wilder in their trilogy fight earlier this month.

Just weeks before that thriller in Las Vegas, the heavyweight boxing scene was thrown up in the air when Oleksandr Usyk completely outclassed Anthony Joshua to win the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world titles.
That scuppered a potential unification showdown between AJ and Fury.
The WBC had allowed their champ a 30 day period to set-up a unification clash after the Wilder scrap, but Usyk must give Joshua a rematch first.
Hearn has told his own Matchroom Boxing that he believes the WBC will now be ordering Fury to battle Whyte – despite the Body Snatcher pulling out of his upcoming fight with Otto Wallin due to a shoulder injury.
Discussing the 33-year-old, who beat Alexander Povetkin in a rematch last time out, Hearn said: “When a fighter last boxed in March, and he has the opportunity to fight Tyson Fury probably next March, you want a fight in between that period.
“Dillian Whyte has been training, probably, since the end of April. He’s been in camp in Portugal, he’s spent a lot of money on that camp and had five sparring partners out there the whole time.

“About four weeks ago we got news from the WBC that he will be mandatory for Tyson Fury and if we were gonna pull out of a fight then you’d pull out then.
“There’s no point sparring and paying all these guys – we had that conversation internally and Dillian Whyte said ‘I don’t want to wait a year in between fights when I’m fighting Tyson Fury’.
“We carried on with camp and about two-and-a-half weeks after that he had a shoulder injury, got treated by his doctor and again had another conversation but he wanted to continue with the fight and kept all of his sparring partners there.
“He had a couple of days without sparring, went back in to spar… I think he had one spar and then another one on Monday and had to stop after eight rounds.
“He went back and saw the doctor, had his MRI and the doc said ‘you can’t fight’.
How the stars stack-up against each other
“He doesn’t need an operation, he’ll need about four or five weeks of treatment to it and it’s not going to put him out.”
Asked whether that would affect any potential shot at Fury, Whyte’s promoter Hearn said: “That WBC fight, I think, will be called at the convention in about three weeks time.
“I don’t think the Fury fight will happen until February at the very earliest anyway so I don’t think it will be an issue for him.
“He wanted to fight and anyone that knows Dillian Whyte knows that he is not going to shirk out of a fight.
“It wasn’t the threat of losing the Tyson Fury fight, he could not carry on sparring.”

‘He talks a lot of s***’ – Anthony Joshua slams Tyson Fury’s promoter and rages ‘f*** him’ over claims he dodged fight

ANTHONY JOSHUA hit out at Bob Arum and said Tyson Fury’s US promoter ‘talks a lot of s***.’ Hall of Famer Arum has been critical of AJ in the past and recently said he could ‘NEVER’ beat Oleksandr Usyk.

Anthony Joshua hit out at Bob Arum and said Tyson Fury’s US promoter ‘talks a lot of s***’
The Top Rank boss also urged Joshua to step aside from a rematch with Usyk to allow Fury to fight the Ukrainian.
But AJ appeared uninterested in Arum’s opinion and blasted the legendary promoter for the prior digs.
Joshua told iFL TV: “F*** Bob Arum. ‘Joshua’s a bottle job, he’s a cherry picker, he didn’t wanna fight Tyson Fury.’
“F*** all that, with all due respect, take it how you want.  He can’t talk s*** about me and think I’m gonna take it easy. He talks a lot of s*** every time.
“I’m not interested in what Bob Arum has to say.”
Fury, 33, was set to fight Joshua, 32, this summer until he was ordered by an arbitrator to instead honour his contracted trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder.

The Gypsy King later scored a dramatic 11th round knockout of Wilder, 36, but two weeks earlier Joshua, 32, was dethroned by Usyk, 34.
AJ has already invoked his right to an immediate rematch and has spent time in America trialling coaches to add to his team.
But his chances of winning against Usyk were blasted by Arum, with or without a change trainer.
Arum said to Fight Hub TV: “Whatever new trainer he gets, he ain’t gonna beat Oleksandr Usyk. Not now, not next year.
“Usyk is too smart for him and he’s a southpaw. Joshua is not going to learn in six months what he never learned, which is how to fight a southpaw.”

Black History Month 2021: Boxer Denzel Bentley wants better teaching as Dudley Stokes recalls racism suffered in army

DENZEL BENTLEY believes the way British schools teach black history needs to change – because the current method is ‘lazy’ to focus solely on slavery. The middleweight boxer was born and raised in South London.

Jamaican bobsled hero Dudley Stokes wants to see black heritage celebrated throughout the year
But it was at home with family, rather than in class, that he was educated on how people of colour have helped shape 21st-century society.
And in the final week of Black History Month 2021, Bentley is calling on the UK to reassess how the topic is taught – if it is taught at all.
He told SunSport: “Black History Month is the only time they teach black history.
“We just watched movies in school about slavery. That doesn’t help. Everyone knows that happened hundreds of years ago.
“To just teach slavery is lazy. If you taught the real history of black history that would help.
“There are black people who have done things to help – people think slavery just disappeared. People fought for these rights.

“Black History Month is about celebrating the black lives that made life easier for black people today and letting us know we are better than how we were perceived to be.
“Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Nelson Mandela, slavery abolitionists, activists who fought for black people to be treated fairly.”
Bentley was the first British boxer to take a knee, highlighting his ongoing fight with persecution and discrimination.
The 26-year-old, who grew up in Battersea’s Patmore estate, is regularly told to ‘go back to where you came from’ and has been stopped and searched by police driving to his Essex gym three times since the summer, twice to check for drugs and the other for weapons.
UK Government stats, excluding vehicle cases, show that between April 2019 and March 2020, there were six police stop and searches for every 1,000 white people, compared with 54 for every 1,000 black people – the national average for the 563,837 instances reported was 11.
The 14-1-1 orthodox added: “They associate marijuana with being black, I don’t smoke and people around me don’t because I box. What made them look at me and think I had a weapon?
“The first time I got stopped I was 11 and asked if I had a knife on me.
“People don’t realise the damage it can do mentally. You can’t be yourself.
“Black people can’t scream and shout having fun after a night out like others can – there would be a whole police force there.
“I’m British. I was born here, my parents were born in Ghana. Even when I go to Ghana, they tell me I’m British. I love being British, I’m grateful I’m British.
“Why can’t I be from here? People associate British with white.
“If I’m winning, everyone loves me because I’m winning for the country. But when it’s not sports or giving the country accolades, it’s, ‘Go back, you’re not from here.’ So why am I allowed to represent you when it suits you?”
If you haven’t seen it, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. To say my reality isn’t true or real is offensive and disregarding the truth.Denzel Bentley

2Sharp, whose parents are from Ghana, grew up on the Patmore estate in Battersea, South LondonCredit: The Sun
One of 2Sharp’s primary hurts is simply being told he’s a liar.
The former British champ added: “If I’m telling you my truth, you can’t tell me that’s not how it works.
“If you believe these things didn’t happen, it’s very important to get educated.
“If you haven’t seen it, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. To say my reality isn’t true or real is offensive and disregarding the truth.
“If you told me you were going through depression and I said, ‘Man up, stop talking rubbish, you’re not going through anything,’ you would find that offensive.”
Black History Month was first formally observed in the UK in 1987, which coincided with the 150th anniversary of the Slave Compensation Act, part of the Caribbean emancipation.
It is staged throughout the month of October each year – and Jamaican bobsled legend Dudley Stokes believes that’s where a significant problem lies.
Instead of having 31 days for learning, he says we should celebrate and discuss black culture throughout the year.
Stokes, 59, was the driver of the sled which famously crashed at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, inspiring the film Cool Runnings.
Now based in England, he told SunSport: “Black History Month is a start.
“It’s unfortunate we need to set aside a month for it but I do recognise the symbol. We really need Black History Years.
“Extend the month out through the year and rotate it. Part of the intention is to get Britons to understand black culture but we need to keep this rolling over to understand.
‘Every day is Black History Month’DARREN MOORE insists every day is Black History Month — even if the annual celebration ‘ends’ on Sunday
Moore, 47, born in Birmingham with Jamaican roots, believes learning about different backgrounds is crucial to communities thriving.
The Sheffield Wednesday boss is one of seven black managers in professional men’s football in England, while Hope Powell is flying the flag at Brighton in the WSL.
He wants that number to increase — but is also keen to see the high number of black players on the pitch replicated at boardroom level.
And speaking to SunSport, he explained how he wants this month — and the other 11 — to be a reminder of the role that black people play in British society, past and present.
    Read the full interview here

“In the UK, we need a command of the English language, basic mathematics, a grasp of British history, how England came about, the empire including West Indies, India and China with slavery.
“We need to see black history in the context of British history. Everybody of every colour needs to be exposed to that.
“To understand the society we have has been built by a diversity of people. When you have that scope of understanding, it makes you a better person.”
Stokes continued: “People of colour in the UK need to create a British dialogue on race and claim the place which they have already worked for, paid for in blood, and step into it as British people.
“It belongs to you, you deserve it. It’s a right you’ve won, it’s not a request.
“British people of colour need to understand their ancestors contributed to what is around us.
“The West Indian community needs to see our involvement in World War I. We had athletes fight in World War II who won Olympic gold medals.”
Stokes joined the Jamaica Defence Force aged 18 and spent time at RMA Sandhurst, Berkshire in 1981 but despite exemplary service, he was persistently overlooked.
He added: “Looking back, I wonder if certain things were racially motivated – I didn’t think it at the time.
“I had moments at Sandhurst of great kindness from white, British people. One took me to his house in his village, another rented a car for me which was a huge risk on his part.
“I should have got promotions based on performance.
“All the cadet government from my unit had personal invitations to Charles and Diana’s wedding. I was so naive not to recognise those things.”

Fury, 33, showed off his custom black jacket and trousers which had his face pattered all over.
Despite his immaculate look, it was Paris who stole the show as she signed copies of her tell-all book in Waterstones in Manchester.
The release is already a best-seller on Amazon and will document Paris meeting Tyson as a teenager and marrying her childhood sweetheart.
The mother-of-six has promised not to hold back in the book, which reveals all about her life with WBC heavyweight champion Fury.
Paris said on talkSPORT: “So many people wrote things about me in the past and this time I just wanted to get my story out and the truth on the page.
“It’s basically a mad, family story about my life, first meeting Tyson, then growing up, having children, being a mother, being someone who’s obviously supported someone in the limelight for so long.

“Also, we’ve got Tyson with his mental health issues, I’ve supported that, so my books speaks to numerous people.
“I’ve had so many people ask me for advice over the years and I’m hoping this is my answers to anyone that’s come up to me and asked, ‘How did you do that?’  Or, ‘How did you do this?'”
Asked about describing Tyson as her ‘nightmare AND dream man’, she responded: “That is 100 per cent.
“Because there are times when we’re on the peak of the mountain and everything’s great and even just being at home and going to the movies – and I know it sounds like so corny – but we’re like best friends and we really love each other.
“And then you get like the manic, mayhem and the hard sides of Tyson – going away for six weeks and being gone.
“And then also, all the things we’ve been through, we’ve been together through six kids, that’s what people don’t know.
“People that are fans of us know that, but a lot of people look and think, ‘She’s here for the money’ – they don’t realise we’ve been together from like 15, 16.
“And basically it’s been a whirlwind of our life, everything in there, I didn’t hold anything back in the book, I just told the full story as I will never get time to do it again.”
