      Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury: Date, UK start time, live stream, TV channel, undercard info for CONFIRMED blockbuster fight

      IT’S official – Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are going to war. Fury, half-brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson, has called for a clash with YouTube sensation Paul for months.

      And now he will finally get his chance, with SunSport recently revealing how the pair will clash in a December bout after a breakthrough in negotiations.
      The fight was confirmed on Friday, October 29 by promotor Frank Warren.
      Paul last fought in August, beating Tyron Woodley by split decision, while Fury outpointed MMA fighter Anthony Taylor on the undercard.
      Paul vs Fury will represent the former’s first dalliance with a fully-fledged pro boxer in his short career so far.
      And although Fury has predominantly fought boxers throughout his career, many regard Paul to be one of his toughest tests yet.

      When is Paul vs Fury?

      Jake Paul will fight Tommy Fury on Saturday, December 18.
      The fight will take place at the Amelie Arena in Tampa.
      The event should pull in thousands of spectators, with the arena having a capacity of 21,000.
      With the fight being held in the USA, expect it to take place in the early hours of Sunday morning in the UK.

      Paul vs Fury will be shown live on BT Sport Box Office.
      BT Sport Box Office broadcasted Paul vs Woodley in August and they have an afinity with Fury through his promotional contract with Frank Warren.

      Paul, 24, couldn’t resist a shot at ex-Love Island star Fury, 22, when announcing the fight on Friday night.
      He wrote on Instagram: “It’s finally official. Timothy had no choice but to sign the contract so he could finally pay his bar tabs, afford a shirt for the club, and stop living off Molly.
      “December 18 in Tampa Bay I’m changing this w***er’s name to Tommy Fumbles and celebrating with Tom Brady.
      “Pucker up Timmy… it’s time to kiss your last name and your family’s boxing legacy goodbye.”
      Paul turned pro in January 2020 beating online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ in one round and 11 months later knocked out ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37.

      He then beat retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, in the first round in April before his biggest win, against Woodley.
      Fury is 7-0 and debuted in 2018 to much fanfare due to the popularity of his unbeaten older brother, WBC heavyweight champion Tyson.
      But a year later he shot to mainstream fame after finishing runner-up in hit reality TV show Love Island with his now-girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.
      The light-heavyweight has so far faced mainly journeyman opposition, a regularity for most boxers in their early days of the trade.
      But he signed a two-fight contract with US network Showtime this year and made his Stateside debut against MMA fighter Taylor.
      The second part of the deal will now see him fight Paul following months of trash talk and viral goading.

      Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant: UK start time, date, live stream, TV channel, undercard for HUGE super-middleweight clash

      CANELO ALAVREZ returns to the ring against Caleb Plant in a massive super-middleweight undisputed title fight.Alvarez was last in action back in May, when he TKO’d Billy Joe Saunders in the 8th round of their title clash in Texas.

      Plant has had to wait a little longer for this fight, having not fought since January, when he outpointed Caleb Truax.
      The Nashville fighter won his first world title in 2019, beating Venezuelan Jose Uzcategui, and has since defended it three times.
      Alvarez is on a hot streak of wins following his draw with Gennady Golovkin back in 2017.
      He’s since beaten Golovkin, Rocky Fielding, Daniel Jacobs, Sergey Kovalev, Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim and Saunders, becoming a four-weight world champion in the process.
      Plant’s IBF title at 168lbs represents the final piece of Alvarez’s jigsaw, which could see the Mexican crowned as his country’s first ever undisputed champion.
      Alvarez and Plant had originally planned to clash back in September, but negotiations fell through before a solution was found weeks later.
      The fight will be held on Showtime pay-per-view in the U.S., which will be the first time Alvarez hasn’t fought on DAZN stateside since 2018.
      A win for either fighter would crown the second undisputed champion in 2021, after Josh Taylor picked up all the belts at 140lbs in his win over Jose Ramirez back in May.
      When is Canelo vs Plant?

      The fight will emanate from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
      There should be close to 15,000 fans in attendance at the huge event.
      Canelo vs Plant will get underway in the early hours of Sunday, November 7 for fans in the UK, with ring-walks set for around 4am GMT.

      Alvarez said: “You are not on my level and you will see on November 6. You don’t want to fight now, I promise you.
      “We come from nothing and we worked hard to be here. For somebody to lie and talk trash about us, that upset Eddy. It is what it is though. We just have to show everyone who we are on November 6.
      “Caleb might be on the same level as Saunders and Smith, but he’s not on my level. I respect that he isn’t here to back down. You can see from today that this is definitely going to be a good fight.”
      Plant said: “I know only one thing better than proving people right, and that’s proving people wrong. I’ve been doing that my whole life. As soon as I stepped on the stage, people started talking about what I can’t accomplish and what I can’t do.
      “Where I come from, there is no boxing community. There was no other pro I could look to and say that if he can do it, then I can do it. All I had was my mind and my heart.
      “I don’t do this to be famous or to get attention. When I first started, it was just me and my dad. No one thought I’d be standing here today.”

      Who could Canelo Alvarez fight after Caleb Plant?
      Assuming Alvarez beats Plant and ends his streak with all four 168lbs belts in his grasp, the opportunities to have mega-fights from thereon would be near endless.
      Alvarez is a huge star in the U.S. and Mexico and can continue to fight on pay-per-view, as a free agent, for the rest of his career, if he wanted.
      If Alvarez were to stick around with PBC and Showtime for a while, a big-money fight with Jermall Charlo, the current WBC middleweight champion, would make sense.
      There’s also former champion at super-middleweight and rising star David Benavidez to possibly contend with.
      With DAZN, however, there’s still a potential trilogy fight with Golovkin to explore, with the Kazakh fighter still feeling begrudged about the results in their first two fights.
      Otherwise Alvarez could revisit the light-heavyweight division, where’s previously been the WBO champion after beating Kovalev in 2019.
      Current WBC and IBF champ Artur Beterbiev would arguably represent the toughest test of Alvarez’s career, as he boasts a menacing 100% KO ratio, the only titleholder in boxing to have that under his belt.
      Or there’s WBA champion Dimitry Bivol, a route that seems the more likely, given his relationship with promoter Eddie Hearn, whom Alvarez is closely aligned with. More

      Canelo dominated Callum Smith to take his WBA title and win the vacant WBC before battering Avni Yildirim in February and then stopping Billy Joe Saunders in May.
      That win over BJS made him a three-belt WBA, WBC and WBO champion, leaving him needing just the IBF to be fully undisputed.
      That opportunity will come on November 6 when he faces bitter rival Caleb Plant at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
      But before all of that, Canelo had leapt from middleweight to LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT to beat Sergey Kovalev in 2019.
      That win saw him join legendary Mexican’ Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Jorge Arce as four-division world champions.
      Having started his career at 15, Alvarez fluctuated in weight, even fighting at the light-welterweight limit of 140lbs before settling in at welterweight and winning his first world title at light-middleweight.

      WELTERWEIGHT
      After 33 bouts, Alvarez made his US debut on October 2008 beating Larry Mosley and recorded another win Stateside before returning back to Mexico for two years and nine fights.
      When he returned he defended his NABF welterweight title against Jose Cotto in what turned out to be his last contest at 147lbs.

      LIGHT-MIDDLEWEIGHT
      Canelo first won a world title at 154lbs beating Ricky Hatton’s brother Matthew in California.
      The Mexican eased to a points decision but was much trimmer in frame and bulk with a baby face.
      He would make five defences of the WBC belt before unifying against Austin Trout in April 2013 also claiming the WBA strap.
      At aged 23, Canelo would defend his light-middleweight titles against ring legend Floyd Mayweather – but was made to suffer on the scales.
      FLOYD MAYWEATHER
      Mayweather only moved up from welterweight to face Oscar De La Hoya and Miguel Cotto, but did so once again to challenge rising star Canelo in September 2013.
      But the American boxing great – who promoted and managed himself – proved he is a veteran of the business side of the sport by forcing Alvarez to contract stipulations.
      The Vegas bout was made at a catchweight of 152lbs, meaning the champion had to lose an extra two pounds – and Canelo claimed Mayweather even tried to put a rehydration clause in the contract.
      Mayweather reportedly weighed 150lbs, below weight, and Alvarez came in at 165 pounds, putting on almost a stone – but was still outpointed by his American rival.

      Canelo Alvarez says Caleb Plant fight will be ‘a little easy for me’
      MIDDLEWEIGHT
      Canelo moved up to middleweight two years after his first defeat, and learned from Mayweather on how to use his star power.
      Despite campaigning in the 160lbs division, the Mexican hero forced his opponents to fight at a catchweight of 155lbs, first winning the The Ring, Lineal, and WBC titles against Cotto.
      Brit Amir Khan even moved up to middleweight to fight Canelo at 155lbs, but was brutally KO’d in six rounds before Alvarez moved back to light-middleweight to win the WBO title from Merseysider Liam Smith.
      He only dropped back to 154lbs after being mandated by the WBC to face Gennady Golovkin, but promoter De La Hoya insisted his man was not yet a true middleweight.
      Canelo beat Smith for the WBO belt in his final fight at 154lbs.
      Despite De La Hoya claiming the Mexican was not yet ready to box at 160lbs, one fight later Alvarez would face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in a 164.5lbs catchweight bout – ABOVE the middleweight limit.
      The fight was used as a tester before Canelo matched up against middleweight rival GGG, as Chavez Jr was easily outpointed.
      SUPER-MIDDLEWEIGHT
      After two contentious results against Golvokin at middleweight – that saw Canelo walk away with a draw and win – he announced a move up to 168lbs to face Brit Rocky Fielding.
      The Mexican would challenge for the WBA’s understudy super-middleweight world title, which he won with ease in three rounds.
      Canelo was much the smaller man but targeted Fielding’s body to win a world title in his third weight, and then revealed he would be open to fighting world champion Smith.
      After winning a super-middleweight belt, WBC and WBA middleweight champion Canelo returned to 160lbs, facing Daniel Jacobs with the IBF title also on the line.
      Alvarez’s move back down eight pounds did nothing to dent his reflexes and power as he put on a great display of defence and aggression on the way to a points win.
      Canelo stuck with the IBF’s 170lbs rehydration clause, but Jacobs did not, meaning he lost the belt on the scales after coming in at 173.6lbs for tactical reasons.
      After adding another middleweight belt to his collection Alvarez decided not to defend them against rival Golovkin in a trilogy bout.
      Instead he replicated US legends such as Roy Jones Jr, Bernard Hopkins and Sugar Ray Leonard who all won 175lbs titles when he knocked Kovalev out in the 11th round in November 2019 at light-heavyweight.
      Canelo hinted he would stick to the weight after beating Kovalev, but instead slipped back to super-middleweight for his next fight against Smith.

      FOUR-DIVISION CHAMP
      Canelo cemented himself as a fully-fledged four-division champion after dominating Britain’s brave and resilient Smith after weighing in at the 168lb limit exactly.
      The Mexican superstar walked away with the WBA super-middleweight crown, two years after winning their secondary ‘Regular’ title.
      Canelo had too much power and precision for Smith and stormed to victory after 12 one-sided and almost identical rounds in Texas.
      He defended the titles in a mandatory challenge against Avni Yildirim in February and then beat Billy Joe Saunders for his fourth belt at super-middle.
      Now he is looking to complete his collection by beating Plant in Vegas.

      Canelo, 31, was so confident he would come out unscathed against Billy Joe Saunders back in May that arranged to marry Gomez just a week later.
      The Mexican, of course, was spot on as he secured an emphatic victory with Saunders pulled out by his corner after a brutal left upper-cut fractured the Brit’s eye socket.
      Now, heading into his super middleweight unification bout against Caleb Plant next month, Canelo says marriage has made him happier than ever.
      The 31-year-old doesn’t usually speak about his personal life, but on this occasion he gave a short but sweet insight.
      He told BT Sport: “I feel way different, I am a happy man, more than before.”
      Canelo is looking to make history next month and become the unified super middleweight champion.

      He says it’s important he reaches the milestone for his country and his legacy.
      Canelo added: “[It] means a lot for me and my country because very few fighters in boxing make history.
      “I will make history for my country and for my legacy.”
      But to make history, he has to take the IBF belt off the unbeaten Plant.
      And the two have already got up close and personal ahead of the November 6 blockbuster in Las Vegas.
      The pair came to blows at a press conference last month, and after Plant called Canelo a ‘motherf*****’, the Mexican cracked his opponent with a left hand.
      Canelo insists the fight will be won by ‘the best fighter, not the best talker.’
      He explained the incident, saying: “In the morning that day, we make a commercial and had a little face off for TV with nobody there.
      “He came with bad attitude, like angry, something weird.
      “It’s ok, I don’t worry about it.
      “Then in the press conference, he started saying things. I was like ‘yeh ok’.
      “Then when he said ‘you motherf*****’, that’s when I pushed him and he come back with a left hook, that’s why my reaction.

      “I never have problems with my opponents, I always respect my opponents, I know the winner will be the best fighter, not the best talker.”
      Canelo reckons he will have the fight won by round seven or eight but he doesn’t care how he comes away with the win as he just needs ‘one or two’ shots.
      He said: “Seven, eight, something like that. I don’t know what shot, I don’t care what shot, I just need one or two.”

      Ricky Hatton says he’ll be ‘made up’ for Tommy Fury even if Love Island star LOSES to Jake Paul

      And former trainer Ricky Hatton will be over the moon for the Love Islander
      Hatton has known Fury – the half brother of WBC heavyweight champ Tyson – for many years and will be over the moon for him when his multi-million-pound payday is finalised.
      In an interview with The Daily Mail, he said of the Paul fight: “I’m made up for him.
      “When the Love Island offer came up, I said to him and his dad that he needs to go on.
      “My job as a trainer and a friend isn’t just to get the fights for you, but it’s to make sure you’ve got enough pennies in the bank.
      “I told Tommy that I thought he could make more going on Love Island.
      “He’s gone on Love Island, made himself a big name and had a few fights here and there and now he’s got Jake Paul.

      “I’m absolutely delighted for him. He’s made a load of money, so yeah go for it.”
      YouTube sensation Paul is a novice in the boxing game, despite his rapid rise to becoming one of the most talked-about fighters in the sport.
      Hatton, 43, has no doubt in his mind Fury, 22, will get the better of The Problem Child and catapult himself into global superstardom.
      He said: “Tommy’s got a lot of ability, I’ve trained him.
      “But being a world champion and beating Jake Paul are two different things.
      “I think he beats Jake Paul, and if he does and he becomes a big name, then he can start to be more ambitious and go for a world title.
      “If he beats him – or if he doesn’t even beat him – I’ll be made up for him, for the life he’s made himself.”

      Fury’s boxing pedigree will make him a huge favourite going into the fight, although he’ll have the added pressure of potentially being disowned by brother Tyson and dad John if he comes up short.
      During an appearance on The True Geordie Podcast, John said: “If it’s a close fight, Tommy’s retired.
      “If Tommy beats him and struggles to beat him, he’s retired from boxing.”
      When pressed further on his stance, John added: “He [Jake Paul] is a YouTuber.
      “He’s got to be knocking Jake Paul out.
      “He’s got to box him and knock him out, he’s a YouTuber.
      “And I’m not wasting my time on people in the gym because I haven’t got a lot of time left at 56-years-old.
      “So I’m not going to train with somebody I’ve got no faith in. So I’ve told him, ‘unless you knock him out, pal, forget me with boxing.’ I’ll walk away.”

      All of the super middleweight belts are on the line in the unification bout, but so it Plant’s 21-0 unbeaten record.
      And Iron Mike thinks Plant is going to get ‘f***ed up’ by the phenomenal Mexican.
      Tyson said during a recent episode of the ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson’ podcast: “This guy [Canelo Alvarez] is going to “f***ing kill [Caleb Plant].”
      “He’s your friend, you’re going to his funeral. He looks like some Floyd Mayweather s**t, he’s gonna get f***ed up.
      “Wait till that m**********r starts hitting that body, Alvarez, those m**********r body shots, oh, he’s gonna get f***ed up.”
      Plant, far from amused with Tyson’s comments, hit back listing a number of the 55-year-old’s high-profile defeats in his career.

      The IBF champ told Fight Hype.com: “[Mike Tyson] was stronger than ‘Buster’ Douglas but that didn’t help him.
      “He was determined to win. He was stronger than Lennox Lewis, he was stronger than Evander Holyfield but there’s a lot more to winning a fight than just being stronger than somebody.
      “There’s a lot of keys and a lot of factors that go into a fight and not all of it has to do with strength.”
      Canelo thinks Plant will be an easier fight than when he fought Brit Billy Joe Saunders.
      The 31-year-old, who has not lost since being beaten by Floyd Mayweather in 2013, forced Saunders to retire on his stool at the end of the eighth round in May.
      Speaking on The Last Stand podcast, he said: “Yeah, same [as Saunders], but different because Billy Joe Saunders is southpaw and Caleb Plant is orthodox.
      “So, it’s gonna be I think maybe a little easy for me.”
