Deontay Wilder ‘tarnished’ his heroic performance against Tyson Fury by refusing to show respect, says dad John

DEONTAY WILDER ‘tarnished’ his heroic effort against Tyson Fury by refusing to show respect after their epic trilogy fight.Fury went over to the American moments after his sensational 11th-round KO victory to give him props for his Herculean effort.

But a dejected Wilder refused to give it up to the WBC champ, much to the annoyance of the 6ft 9in Gypsy King’s dad, John.
During an appearance on talkSPORT, he said “His behaviour, Wilder, before and after – it would make anybody’s blood boil, wouldn’t it?
“As a man like I am – if you get beat by the better man you say, ‘Put our differences to one side, well done.’
“For my money, he tarnished his performance, Wilder.
“It was a great performance, not knocking it, he fought his heart out, he fought like a warrior.
“But his behaviour at the end just let him down totally.

“You don’t behave like that. They’ve just fought their hearts out, beat each other to pieces, you’d think they’d show a bit of consideration for one another.
“My son did because that’s how I’ve brought him up.
“But obviously in Wilder’s case – I don’t know what the man’s made of to be honest with you. He’s obviously from different cloth altogether.”
A Battle of Britain with Dillian Whyte will be next for Fury should his old sparring partner get past Swedish slugger Otto Wallin.
But John wants his son to focus on landing an undisputed fight with newly-crowned unified champ Oleksandr Usyk.
He said: “Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder? No.
“His behaviour, Wilder, before and after – it would make anybody’s blood boil, wouldn’t it?John Fury on Deontay Wilder
“So why would I want to put him in there with my son and get him knocked out?
“At the end of the day, he just got knocked out by a 42-year-old [Alexander Povetkin].
“Tyson can’t get up for them kind of fights. He wouldn’t be able to raise his game because it’s not big enough.
“And he goes in there with a lacklustre attitude and you don’t see the best Tyson Fury. You only see the best of Tyson when he’s against the best.
“A challenge like he had and he’s in a great fight. For me, I’ve told him, ‘Usyk or don’t bother.'”
Fury, however, isn’t seemingly too fussed about facing the Ukrainian southpaw next, saying in the post-fight presser: “We will see, I have just earned a break.

Dillian Whyte wants WBC to ‘force’ Tyson Fury to face him in ‘massive British fight’ after Deontay Wilder win

DILLIAN WHYTE believes that the WBC must give Tyson Fury ‘no choice’ but to face him next. The Body Snatcher, 33, has long been No1 contender for a shot at the belt.

But after years of being ignored by previous champ Deontay Wilder, Whyte believes he should now finally get his chance with compatriot Fury having snatched the belt, in what would be a ‘massive fight’ for Britain.
First, however, he must get past Otto Wallin, who cut Fury badly during their September 2019 bout.
Whyte told Sky Sports News: “Fury has the belt. Wilder had the chance to fight me for three years but didn’t.
“Hopefully now the WBC forces my position and Fury has no choice.
“It’s a massive British fight, a major fight for Britain.
“Fury is an unpredictable man who might say: ‘I am done!’

“I hope we can make a fight when I get past Wallin. But Fury is a difficult guy to plan.
“I haven’t heard a word from him about making a fight.”
On what comes next, he added: “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t looking at them. I am definitely looking at fighting Fury.
“Wallin is a dangerous operator – he pushed Fury all the way.
“I am looking to fight Fury next if everything goes according to plan. I’m always up against it, I’m always in hard fights. I’m used to it.
“I could pull out of the Wallin fight just to fight Fury but that isn’t my mindset. I can’t wait around for what Fury is doing.
“My mindset is that I’ve got nothing to lose. I’m not scared to take risks. They see danger in fighting me.
“I will risk it all, if need be.”

Carl Froch believes Tyson Fury could RETIRE after epic Deontay Wilder win as there’s ‘nothing left for him to do’

CARL FROCH believes WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could RETIRE after his emphatic win over Deontay Wilder.Fury held on to his world title and kept his unbeaten record in professional boxing intact on Saturday, knocking Wilder out in round 11.

And now the 33-year-old has put his rivalry with Wilder to bed, Froch believes Fury could retire as there’s ‘nothing left for him to do’.
Froch said in his Sky Sports Column: “There is nothing left for him to do. I wouldn’t be surprised if he retired.
“Depending upon how much he loves the sport, and how much he wants to go in there and do it all again, I wouldn’t be surprised if Fury says: ‘I have done my bit and now I am finished’.”
But the Brit has urged the Gypsy King to take on the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
Usyk stylishly beat Joshua for his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles at the end of last month at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The rematch isn’t set to take place until the start of next year, though.
Froch continued: “I’d like to see him take on AJ. I’d like to see him take on Usyk to see how that fight would go.
“People want to see AJ rectify his bad performance against Usyk, or maybe even see Usyk against Fury.
“As a boxing fan, I want to see Usyk take on Fury. I don’t think he can do it – I think Fury is too big, too clever for him.”
Fury’s dad John agrees with Froch, and has urged his son to fight NO ONE else but Usyk.

Dad John told talkSPORT: “He’s gotta go look for Usyk or nothing, in my idea.
    “It’s Usyk next, or nothing.
“I wouldn’t bother with the rest of them, they’re not in Tyson’s class.
“Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder?
“No. So why would they wanna put him in with my son and get him knocked out?
“Tyson can’t get up for them kind of fights. For me, I’ve told him, Usyk or don’t bother.”
Fury has also been praised by Wilder’s head coach as ‘one of the best heavyweights of ANY era’.

Coach Malik Scott gave his assessment of the war in Sin City on Instagram, he said: “Tyson, incredible fighter you are.
“You have a very uncanny way of bringing out the best in people and I really embraced this mission with open arms knowing we was [sic] going up against one of the best heavyweights of ANY era and with my man @kronksugarhill being your head trainer made the task even more intriguing.
“Last night we was great but you guys was greater. Congratulations on a victory well earned. ‘Boxing Wins Again.'”

Inside Tyson Fury’s pool party with wife Paris, brother Tommy and pals as he shows off scars of war with Deontay Wilder

TYSON FURY took his well-earned celebrations to a pool party where he showed off his scars of war with Deontay Wilder. The Gypsy King brilliantly beat American Wilder once more after 11 thrilling rounds in Las Vegas.

Heavyweight hero Fury partied until 3am in Sin City and was raving on stage with DJ Steve Aoki.
After a private recuperating lunch with wife and mother-of-six Paris, the WBC king arrived at the Wet Republic pool party around 3pm Vegas time.
Wet Republic is a massive pool party complex next to the MGM Grand with DJs and hot tubs, which hosted a party attended by Prince Harry in 2012.
It was the same place Fury partied at after beating Tom Schwarz in 2019, the day after he made his Vegas debut.
Flanked by his team, the 6ft 9in ace instantly took over the exclusive and extortionate venue, with fans going crazy to see him.
Fellow Travellers had paid thousands to be seated next to Britain’s unbeaten icon and crowded around the giant for photos and videos.
Hiding his shaven head under the scorching glare of the Vegas sun in a baseball cap, he dusted off a few dance moves up on his private cabana before settling down.

One picture even showed a mark on Fury’s back, with the effects of the trilogy fight there for all to see.
The two-time champion, 33, again won over the hearts of boxing fans for his astonishing display in the ring.
A total of five knockdowns were scored in the fight, three going Fury’s way with the other two coming from Wilder, 35, in round four.
But the Gypsy King – who only five years ago quit boxing and ballooned up to almost 30 stone – showcased his never-say-die attitude.
It got him up from the floor twice in the fight, and allowed him to floor Wilder in the tenth before closing the show in the following round.
Wilder played his part too, refusing to stop throwing and even threatening to turn the fight on its head after every right hand he threw.

But Fury, who drew with the former champ in 2018 but won the rematch last year, proved to well and truly have his great rival’s number.
In his post-fight afterparty, he told clubbers: “They’ll be talking about this f***ing fight a thousand years from today.
“They’ll say where were you? You were all here with the champ!”
Fury is expected to travel back to England with his family soon, and return to his home in Lancashire.
He already knows the winner between Dillian Whyte, 33, and Otto Wallin, 30, at the end of the month will then be ordered to fight him next.

And hours after sending Wilder to the canvas for a third and final time at Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, Fury could be seen living it up at the glitzy Hakkasan nightclub.
Taking his place in the DJ booth alongside pal Steve Aoki, a shirtless Fury serenaded the crowd with a selection of his now famous victory songs.
First on the karaoke playlist was American Pie – a Fury favourite he has performed in the ring following previous wins.
The 33-year-old then belted out versions of Sweet Caroline and ACDC’s TNT to go with the rendition of Walking In Memphis he sang in the ring hours earlier.
It wasn’t long before Fury was then up on the DJ booth, sending the crowd into a frenzy with some shadow boxing and long-limbed dance moves.
Fury was joined at the Hakkasan venue by his brother Tommy and wife Paris, and the rest of his sparring squad.

He partied with trainer SugarHill Steward, who he credited with saying the magic words that inspired him to knock-out Wilder deep in the 11th round.
Hakkasan played host to Fury’s previous victory celebrations after his first win over Wilder back in February last year.

Aoki was also on the decks that night as he played chief cheerleader in the Fury entourage.
While the victor danced the night away, Wilder was sent to hospital for precautionary checks following the savage beating he took on Saturday.
The Bronze Bomber was on the floor three times despite scoring two knockdowns of his own and he ultimately had no match for the Brit’s power.

Kind-hearted side of Tyson Fury, from charity donations and giving shoes to homeless man to releasing lobsters into sea

TYSON Fury might be aggressive in the ring, but outside of it he’s just Mr Nice Guy.The Gypsy King, 33, was at his brutal best in the destruction of fierce rival Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas.

And since knocking out the American, he’s been enjoying the fruits of his success by clubbing in Las Vegas.
However, the modest fighter DOES have a soft side, as these examples show.
From paying £170 for two lobsters at a fancy restaurant to then release them into the sea, from giving his shoes to the homeless, Fury has a heart of gold.
    SEAFOOD LOVER
While lobster is a lavish dinner for the jet-set, for Tyson it’s a defence-less animal.
Which is why the Wythenshawe boxer saved some from their death at a posh eaterie.
In an episode of ITV documentary Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King, he was filmed eating at a Marbella restaurant.
A waiter approached his table with two lobsters, amusingly called Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and offered them to Fury.
“No chance, I don’t like seafood,” Tyson responded before enquiring about the price.
“Take the elastic bands off their flippers and I’m going to set them free in the sea. I’ll give you the €200,” he continued.

Fury frees the lobster by throwing it into the sea
The waiter agreed to the offer, before the pair were then filmed releasing them into the Mediterranean Sea.
“It was alive and it was going to get burned alive and I didn’t want to burn them,” Tyson said after the incident.
“I don’t like killing animals. It’s not often you can do something good in life and today, that was a good deed and it only cost me €200.”
    HELPING THE HOMELESS
It’s not only animals Fury has time for, his love also extends to the homeless too.
Like the time he was in Los Angeles and spotted a man begging on Hollywood Boulevard.
Instead of giving him money, Tyson donated his Nike trainers to him instead.
Tyson revealed: “What happened was, we were in Starbucks having a coffee minding our own business just looking out the window and there was this old fella outside no shoes on him – one shoe off, one foot bleeding.
“Everyone was looking at him like ‘get rid of him,’ he walked off and I thought that’s somebody’s child, that’s a human being.
“As he walked off through the crowd I heard somebody say to me, ‘give him your shoes, go and give him them shoes on your feet,’ I was like ‘yeah’.”
Tyson revealed his cousin and fellow fighter Hughie Fury called him an “idiot” at first after seeing him leave the coffee shop.
He added: “I ran after him, me and Hughie [Fury] and he’s gone, ‘where you going,’ I said ‘I’m giving this man me shoes.’
Whenever Fury sees a homeless person, he’s happy to give them some moneyCredit: Eamonn and James Clarke
A homeless man shows off a fiver given to him by Tyson FuryCredit: Zenpix
“He [Hughie] said, ‘what you doing, idiot, you’ve got no shoes on down Hollywood Boulevard you’ll get something in your feet.’
“I said ‘there’s a fella that needs them more than I do’.
“So I chased him down and said, ‘hey sir, excuse me’, and he [the homeless man] said, ‘what have I done – I haven’t done anything,’ he thought I was going to hit him or something, he must be used to getting punched or whatever.
“So I said I want you to have these shoes, they’re a brand new pair of these bad boys.
“I just walked down the street. He probably sold them later on for five dollars.”
    LOOKING AFTER THE CUTS MAN
During his 2019 fight against Otto Wallin, Fury suffered a critical cut that could’ve seen the WBC champion lose for the first time.
But, thanks to Mexican cut-man Jorge Capetillo who was in Fury’s corner for the fight, he was able to continue and win the fight.
However, when Capetillo fell on hard times during the coronavirus pandemic, Fury was there to help him out.
As Capetillo explained to Sky Sports: “When he knew we were locked down because of Covid-19 and my gym was closed, he texted me and said: ‘Is there anything I can do to help?’

“He is still taking care of me. He sent me money.
“I was supposed to be with Jessie Vargas in New York on March 14 but the fight was cancelled and I came home with empty pockets. I was scared, I didn’t know what to do.
“He knew Jessie’s fight was cancelled. He asked about my family and what he could do. He said: ‘I’ll sort out some money for your family so you can be good’.
“Such generosity for me and my family.
“He is a great man, so humble. He had the time to ask how I was doing with my family during this crisis.”
    SUPPORTS CHARITIES
In 2018, Fury claimed he was “skint” and on benefits because he’s given away his money to charities.
He told the Daily Record: “To be honest, I’m skint. I don’t have any money in the bank. I’m on the dole.
Fury once claimed he was skint, on Jobseeker’s Allowance, and gave all his money awayCredit: Reuters
“I’m on Jobseeker’s Allowance at the moment. I’m not winding you up – I’m being truthful. Seriously, I didn’t make any money out of boxing at all. Don’t feel sorry for me – it’s not a bad thing.
“I give my promotional team half of the money and I donate the other half to charity or give it to people in need because I don’t think people should make money out of punching other people in the face. I fight because I love to fight.
    “I’ll continue boxing until I’m 50 – until I can’t box any more.
“I help a lot of people with my money from boxing. I create homes, take homeless people off the streets, I give it to children’s charities . You can’t take money with you.”
    DOING IT FOR THE KIDS
After the complicated birth of his sixth child Athena in early August, Fury set up a GoFundMe page for Alder Hey Family House Trust in Liverpool.
The children’s charity supported the Fury family, when Athena was in intensive care battling for her life.
Incredibly, he has managed raise nearly £50,000 already.

He tweeted: “When the power of social media is utilised for good it’s beautiful to witness.
In addition to the GoFundMe page, Fury will auction off two signed WBC belts to raise more funds for the Trust.
Regardless of his day job, you can’t help but respect Tyson’s kind-hearted side.
