Jake Paul changes Twitter bio ahead of Tommy Fury fight after trolling Conor McGregor with previous description

JAKE PAUL’s has changed his Twitter bio for his upcoming grudge match with Tommy Fury – after previously using it to troll Conor McGregor.SunSport exclusively reported that Paul and Fury’s long-awaited face-off is set to take place on 18 December in Miami.
Paul changed his Twitter bio to ‘I am boxing’ in message to his 4m followers
After months of trash-talking and negotiating behind the scenes, Paul and Fury will go head to head in a Christmas cracker in two months time.
Fury, 22, previously told fans that he rejected two possible deals to fight Paul, believing he was being lowballed by the American social media star.
But a deal has now been reached, with the two fighters even agreeing to another wager based on the outcome of the fight.
Paul, 24, proposed that he would pay his opponent an additional $500,000 if he loses, but if he wins, Fury would have to change his name to ‘Tommy Fumbles’
Paul has also changed his Twitter bio, which now reads: “I am boxing”, having previously said: “the face of the fight game”, which was a copy of McGregor’s Instagram bio.
The new bio appears to take aim at Fury, whose family are pre-eminent in the boxing world, with older brother Tyson and cousin Hughie both winning heavyweight clashes in the last couple of weeks.

Tyson Fury ended his historic fight trilogy with Deontay Wilder with a brutal KO to retain his heavyweight titles earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Hughie Fury overcame former European heavyweight champion Christian Hammer at BOXXER Fight Night in Newcastle on Saturday.
Paul went one step further in taking aim at Fury by tweeting: “It used to be ‘Jake Paul is bad for boxing’ Now it’s ‘Can I get on the undercard'”.
Fury last fought on Paul’s undercard, beating Anthony Taylor by unanimous decision with 40–36 on all three judges’ scorecards to extend his professional record to 7-0
Paul also defeated Tyron Woodley by split decision, to take his record to 4-0, having also beaten former UFC fighter Ben Askren by TKO in April this year.
A fight with Fury in December would take Paul to an incredible three professional fights in one year, though the YouTuber is in phenomenal shape and has a strict diet and training regime.
Paul returned to the gym alongside his brother Logan this week at his adopted base camp in Puerto Rico, where he trained for his victory over Tyron Woodley.

Paul previously told SunSport: “I think isolation has been the biggest key to a successful training camp and not having any distractions. And Puerto Rico is an amazing place for that.
“There’s hyper-focus down, even if you want to do something fun, sometimes there’s not really much going on.
“I love it down here, the runs are amazing on the beach, this is a magical, paradise of a place to get your mind right and to just focus on the task ahead.”

Anthony Joshua training with Mike Tyson’s former coach for Usyk rematch in huge hint he could split from Rob McCracken

ANTHONY JOSHUA has been training with Mike Tyson’s former coach ahead of his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. And it is the biggest hint yet that the Brit could have a new trainer instead of Rob McCracken next time he faces the Ukrainian.

AJ has been in the USA since he lost his heavyweight world titles to Usyk in Tottenham last month and has been spotted in a number of different gyms.
A number of questions have been asked of Joshua’s training team, led by McCracken, since he was outclassed by Usyk and speculation has been mounting that the coach and boxer could split.
The star has already posted Snapchats of him visiting his mentee Joshua Buatsi in Virgil Hunter’s gym in Hayward, California.
And a further clip emerged showing Joshua hanging out with Canelo Alvarez in Eddy Reynoso’s gym in San Diego, California over the weekend.
The veteran trainer has previously worked with the likes of Iron Mike and Evander Holyfield and he says that he has been training with the Englishman to see if they ‘mesh’ ahead of a permanent appointment for the Usyk rematch.
Shields told ThaBoxingVoice: “They reached out to me and they asked if I would be interested in taking a look at AJ and that he wanted to come down to Texas and see if things would work out between him and I.

“I said: ‘No problem, I would love to see if we had a connection together’.
“He said: ‘European boxing is different from boxing in the US.’ He realised he had to come to the US to get something different… I guess he didn’t feel it was the right [game plan vs Usyk] so he wanted to make a change.
“He told me: ‘Listen, I know people don’t think I’m a dog. I’m gonna be a dog in this next fight.’
“And that’s his words. He told me: ‘I just need you to show me how to be the best dog you can teach me to be.’”
Joshua officially invoked his right to an immediate rematch, Eddie Hearn confirmed, with a target date of March or April.
And the promoter did not rule out new faces in the training team in order to become the first to figure out the Usyk puzzle, who is unbeaten in 19 fights.
Hearn told Boxing Social: “I think what AJ will wanna do is analyse why he performed like that.
“Yeah, the tactics weren’t right, he underperformed, but why?

“It’s difficult just to say, ‘He didn’t get the tactics right and he underperformed,’ because let’s talk about the brilliance of Usyk as well.
“But AJ will always look at his preparation and see how he can improve.
“If that’s changing things up, looking at bringing people in, or whatever he’s got to do, he will do that.”
Shields was asked about McCracken working with AJ ahead of the rematch, and he said the former champ would only be looking to take one of his current coaches with him moving forwards – Angel Fernandez.
He added: “I spoke to him about some other guy that came with him.
“He explained to me that he really wants this guy there, I told him it’s no problem with me.
“Angel. He told me he wanted Angel to be with him and I told him, ‘Yeah, it’s no problem.’”

Best pound for pound boxers revealed with Tyson Fury jumping up the list and Usyk leapfrogging Joshua

CANELO ALVAREZ will aim to become undisputed super-middleweight world champ when he fights Caleb Plant on November 6.And if he manages to beat the American, you won’t find many arguing against him being the pound-for-pound best.

SunSport’s latest P4P rankingsCredit: The Sun
The Mexican is already four-weight world champ – you wouldn’t be surprised if he fancies a crack at cruiser or even heavy in the future.
However, a host of other stars claim to be the king of the ring, especially after the dramatic events in the heavyweight division over the past month.
Here SunSport gives its pound-for-pound top ten boxers – and it wasn’t an easy task.
    1 Canelo Alvarez
Mexican hero Alvarez has quickly taken over as boxing’s biggest star since former foe Floyd Mayweather walked away from the sport.
With only a sole loss – to Mayweather in 2013 aged 23 – Canelo has gone on to rule the super-welterweight and middleweight divisions as well as winning a world title at super-middleweight.
Last time out he crushed Billy Joe Saunders’ dreams, as well as his eye socket, with a stoppage win.
Next up is the unification blockbuster against Caleb Plant – but the Mexican looks unbeatable right now.

    2 Josh Taylor
Incredibly, Taylor still doesn’t seem to get the respect he deserves.
Along his path to becoming UNDISPUTED super-lightweight champion, the 30-year-old Scott has battered some real warriors.
Taylor is now the face of Sky Sports’ new boxing era without Eddie Hearn – and it’s about time.
He is next in action on December 18 when he defends titles against Jack Catterall.
Josh Taylor is the undisputed super-lightweight kingCredit: PA
    3 Terence Crawford
Crawford is as classy in the ring as he is outside it.
Possibly the best switch-hitter in the game right now, he has the ability to overwhelm any foe with his combination punching.
The American has great balance allowing him to work as a counter-puncher – as Julius Indongo knows – though he is equally as deadly as an aggressive box-puncher, which often comes out in the later rounds.
Crawford has won world titles at lightweight, super-lightweight and currently reigns as WBO welterweight king – having held undisputed gold at 140lbs.
Fans are now anxiously awaiting his showdown with Shawn Porter.

    4 Oleksandr Usyk
Usyk reigned as undisputed cruiserweight king having won the WBSS – which involved all the divisions belts – and has now well-and-truly stamped his authority at heavyweight.
His nimble footwork, consistent punching rate and heavy hands made him no match for anyone at 200lbs – with his previous most high-profile win coming against Tony Bellew in Manchester.
The Ukrainian maestro hasn’t had it all his own way at heavyweight – notably Derek Chisora caused him all sorts of problems.
But he overcame the odds to completely outclass Anthony Joshua at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month to snatch the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles.
And that was enough to propel him way above his Brit rival and Tyson Fury in our P4P rankings.

    5 Tyson Fury
The Gypsy King completed the most memorable of journeys back to the top when he battered Deontay Wilder to be crowned WBC heavyweight champ.
And he backed that up a fortnight ago as he emerged triumphant after a thrilling trilogy fight with the Bronze Bomber.
Even at his heaviest back in the boxing ring, Fury moves like the wind and is several steps ahead of his opponent before a punch is even thrown.
Fury is still undefeated as a pro – 31 wins and one draw, with 22 KOs.

    6 Naoya Inoue
The Americans now know all about Inoue.
He has secured two KO victories in his last two fights in Las Vegas – demonstrating his phenomenal power at bantamweight.
Having began his career at 108 lbs the Japanese banger went on to claim titles at super-flyweight, junior-bantamweight champion and bantamweight.
The heavy-handed 28-year-old has flown under the radar having campaigned at the lighter weights.
But beating fighting legend Nonito Donaire in the World Boxing Super Series final had everyone sitting up and taking notice.
Naoya Inoue has ferocious power and often leaves his opponents crumpled in painCredit: Getty
    7 Teofimo Lopez
Lopez became lightweight world champ in only his 15th bout – three fights before Mayweather – as he knocked out Richard Commey for the IBF belt in December 2019.
The 24 year old was still rightfully an outsider against masterful southpaw Lomachenko in October 2020, where all the titles were at stake.
But Lopez silenced the doubters and became an overnight sensation, knocking the P4P No1 off his perch.
It also made him only the fifth man – behind Bernard Hopkins, Jermain Taylor, Terence Crawford and Oleksandr Usyk – to hold all four undisputed titles.
Teofimo Lopez stunned Vasiliy Lomachenko to be crowned unified lightweight champCredit: Getty
    8 Vasiliy Lomachenko
Leaving the amateur game with a record of 396-1 – with the one loss to Albert Selimov later avenged – the simple question was could the boxing maestro transcend his skill-set to 12 rounds.
An early loss to Orlando Salido – for the WBO featherweight title in Lomachenko’s second pro fight – was a clear reminder that the unpaid ranks are a completely different game.
But after being roughed up and out-muscled by a veteran and overweight Salido, Loma became the quickest three-weight world champion in history.
A contentious points defeat by Lopez saw the proud Ukrainian take a hit and he is desperate for the rematch.
But he bounced back brilliant, completely outclassing Masayoshi Nakatani before KO’ing the Japanese fighter in the ninth.
Will be in action again next month when he battles Richard Commey at Madison Square Garden.
Anthony Joshua must bounce back again after he was beaten by UsykCredit: Reuters
    9 Anthony Joshua
Joshua makes it into this list for his boxing skillset learned from his amateur days and also his bouncebackability.
The sport was stunned when Joshua was flattened by the unfancied late stand-in Andy Ruiz Jr – but went back to the drawing board, came back, and scored an easy rematch victory.
However, he is now on the comeback trail again after he lost his belts and was completely outclassed by Usyk last month.
Critics will argue that AJ could well be the complete heavyweight, but not pound-for-pound for his transferrable skills.
But he has never shirked a challenge and the list of his conquests is very impressive – and will get even greater if he is successful in his rematch with Usyk.
Lomachenko is back to winning waysCredit: Getty
    10 Artur Beterbiev
Russian powerhouse Beterbiev cemented his place as the man at 175lbs after stopping Oleksandr Gvozdyk to add the WBC title to his IBF belt and then defending those against Adam Deines.
The now unified light-heavyweight puncher stayed resilient in the Eastern European affair and kept his 100 per cent KO rate intact.
A unification clash against WBA ruler Dmitry Bivol has now been mentioned in what would be another clash of two heavy hitters.
But a potential meeting with Kovalev or even Canelo would do more to enhance Beterbiev’s already scary profile.
However, it is Marcus Browne up next for him in the ring next month.

Dillian Whyte fight with Otto Wallin OFF – but Tyson Fury bout still on cards

The 33-year-old has been in camp in Portugal and was due to fly back to the UK at the start of next week but has now been left heartbroken after suffering the blow.
The huge heavyweight clash was due to headline a stacked show in London on Saturday 30th October – however we understand that it will be re-arranged ASAP.
It is not known whether the rest of next week’s card will go ahead or the whole event has now been scrapped.
The winner is due to take on Tyson Fury for his WBC heavyweight belt next.
The news will also come as a blow to Wallin, who was hoping to enforce a rematch against Fury by upsetting Britain’s Whyte.
His only professional defeat courtesy of the Gypsy King in 2019 but the Swede provided the current WBC champ with an almighty scare.

Wallin opened a huge cut above Fury’s eye that almost caused the fight to be stopped.
Wallin’s promoter, Dmitriy Salita, said recently: “Out all the great fighters that Tyson Fury beat the one fighter that gave him most trouble, caused most controversy with the cut, who landed more punches than Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder in their first fights combined is Otto Wallin.
“Otto had two impressive wins since that outing and a win over Whyte would make him the most eligible opponent for Fury and in my mind the second-best heavyweight in the world based on merit.
“Otto is still getting better. The fight with Whyte is a big test and a massive opportunity to get the rematch with the WBC heavyweight champion.”
Impatient Whyte has been waiting for his world title shot for over three years.
He was finally on the brink of securing it before those plans were sent into disarray as he suffered a surprise knockout defeat to Alexander Povetkin last year.
The Body Snatcher avenged that loss in March but now looks set to have to wait a little longer for his chance of glory with the Wallin fight now not set to take place until early next year.

Tyson Fury set to fight Otto Wallin next in rematch if he beats Whyte after giving Gypsy King ‘toughest fight of career’

But Wallin proved to be one of Fury’s toughest opponents, inflicting a serious cut on the Brit above his right eye.
And now, the 30-year-old could force a rematch should he beat Whyte in the WBC interim title clash.
Promoter Dmitriy Salita believes Wallin gave Fury his biggest test of his professional boxing career so far.
He told Sky Sports: “Out all the great fighters that Tyson Fury beat the one fighter that gave him most trouble, caused most controversy with the cut, who landed more punches than Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder in their first fights combined is Otto Wallin.
“Otto had two impressive wins since that outing and a win over Whyte would make him the most eligible opponent for Fury and in my mind the second-best heavyweight in the world based on merit.”
Salita believes the Swede is ‘getting better’, but acknowledges Whyte – who is standing in Wallin’s way of a title shot – is no easy task.

He continued: “Otto is still getting better.
“The fight with Whyte is a big test and a massive opportunity to get the rematch with the WBC heavyweight champion.”
Whyte reclaimed the WBC interim belt with a knockout win over Alexander Povetkin earlier this year.
And says he wants to fight Fury next, but is willing to take on ‘dangerous operator’ Wallin first.
Whyte said: “Wallin is a dangerous operator – he pushed Fury all the way.
“I am looking to fight Fury next if everything goes according to plan.
Whyte needs to get past Wallin first to start thinking about fighting FuryCredit: GETTY IMAGES
“I’m always up against it, I’m always in hard fights. I’m used to it.
“I could pull out of the Wallin fight just to fight Fury but that isn’t my mindset. I can’t wait around for what Fury is doing.
“My mindset is that I’ve got nothing to lose. I’m not scared to take risks. They see danger in fighting me.”
Fury, unlike Wallin and Whyte, isn’t thinking about his next fight or who it will be against.
The 33-year-old insists he doesn’t ‘need to fight anymore’.
Fury told The Telegraph: “I don’t know what’s going to happen.
“I’ve got one fight left on my contract with Top Rank and ESPN and we’ll see what that is.
“But I’m not thinking about boxing right now. I don’t know how many fights I’ve got left, I don’t know if I need to fight anymore. I don’t know what the future holds.
“I am motivated to get up in the morning, do a little bit of training and enjoy my day. I don’t have any goals in boxing; I have done everything and won everything, the only one to do it in my era.
Fury insists he doesn’t have to fight anymoreCredit: GETTY IMAGES
“I will always have been the WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, Ring magazine champion, that will not evaporate in history, but once it is done, it is done – and you cannot get it back.
“Once you are done, it doesn’t matter how many belts you have, who you beat, what your record is.
“You are just another bare bum in the shower and I have always had that opinion.”
Dad John, on the other hand, thinks his son should fight WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk ONLY.
He told talkSPORT: “He’s gotta go look for Usyk or nothing, in my idea.
    “It’s Usyk next, or nothing.
“I wouldn’t bother with the rest of them, they’re not in Tyson’s class.

“Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder?
“No. So why would they wanna put him in with my son and get him knocked out?
“Tyson can’t get up for them kind of fights. For me, I’ve told him, Usyk or don’t bother.”

Anthony Joshua should use Tyson Fury’s tactics against Deontay Wilder to beat Usyk in rematch, claims Lawrence Okolie

ANTHONY JOSHUA should use Tyson Fury’s tactics to beat Oleksandr Usyk, according to WBO cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie. The Ukrainian outboxed AJ over 12 rounds last month to claim his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts.

Okolie, who beat Dilan Prasovic on the same card, believes that Joshua can prevail in his rematch with Usyk.
But he’ll have to take a leaf out of Tyson Fury’s playbook in his recent win over Deontay Wilder to do so.
The 28-year-old told the Mail: “He was in there with a world class fighter, a generational talent.
“It’s not just a case of you doing this and that happens. There’s another person in there trying to prevent that and knock you out.
“There’s stuff AJ can do to try and change the way the fight looks and feels, and I think he will.
“But in terms of his performance, he tried his best and it wasn’t good enough on the day.

“You have to just say Usyk was great that night and AJ has to work on certain things to beat that style.
“As you saw with Fury and Wilder, Wilder is an exceptional fighter, an exceptional puncher.
“But Fury decided, you know what, I’m 277-pounds and I’m going to let you know it.
“He pushed him back, he rallied through the hard rounds, ground him down and got the stoppage. I believe AJ can do something similar.”
Okolie has full confidence that Joshua will adapt and overcome Usyk when they do battle again in the spring.
Nine out of ten heavyweights aren’t going to try and box Usyk, they’re going to go in there and say ‘I am a natural heavyweight, let me show you.’Lawrence Okolie
He added: “Of course AJ is a talented boxer, but Usyk is an extremely talented boxer.
“Nine out of ten heavyweights aren’t going to try and box Usyk, they’re going to go in there and say ‘I am a natural heavyweight, let me show you.’
“I believe AJ does that, and alongside the boxing skills he has, he’ll get it done.
“He relied a bit too much on his boxing ability, where sometimes you have to remember it’s a contact sport, so go in there and make contact.”

The 27-year-old forced the German to retire in the fifth round.
And now according to BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom, Fury wants to take on veteran Chisora at the start of 2022.
Shalom told Sky Sports: “Hughie Fury can be a world champion.
“Christian Hammer was no joke and I think we saw a Hughie that was landing cleaner shots, that was more confident in himself, more confident in his body, and had more power.
“Whether Christian was injured or not, I’m not sure. He took a lot of shots and I think Hughie hurt him.

“With Hughie, we’re going to look to try and make the Chisora fight early next year. That is what we feel is the next step-up for him.”
Chisora is focussed on his rematch against Joesph Parker at the end of this year.
The 37-year-old lost to the New Zealander via split decision last time out, and he’s desperate to avenge the loss.
So much so he turned down a fight with Fury, says Shalom.
The promoter continued: “We offered Derek the fight.
“I think he knows how good Hughie Fury is – and how technical he is.
“I think he really wanted the Parker rematch. That was what he wanted. He didn’t want to fight Hughie Fury, but let’s see after December, it might be different then.”

Following Joshua’s 12-round decision loss to Usyk he faced calls to replace his training team.
But those same doubts were raised when he lost to Andy Ruiz Jr in June 2019, before brilliantly winning the rematch six months later.
His loyalty was rewarded when he reclaimed the WBA, IBF and WBO belts after smartly switching tactics to outbox Ruiz, 32.
And there is no suggestion yet Joshua will part ways with trusted coach Rob McCracken, who had twice led him to unified titles as well as Olympic gold.
But AJ did bring in two additional trainers in Angel Fernandez and Joby Clayton before avenging defeat to Ruiz.
Gaining knowledge from coaches in America can only be a good thing before Joshua prepares to fight Usyk once more.
