      CLARESSA SHIELDS says she would ’embarrass’ Jake Paul in sparring with just ONE hand. The female boxing star has gone back and forth with Paul recently and insisted she would never fight on his undercard.

      Shields, a three-division champion in the pros and two-time Olympic gold medalist then took another swipe at the YouTuber.
      She told Sky Sports: “I don’t know what world people live in that they think a man [could beat me] who has not been to the Olympics, who has not fought professionally.
      “There are a lot of women in boxing who could [outbox] men, especially a regular joe like Jake Paul.
      “I know it’s too much to fight him because it would be too embarrassing [for him], but if I were to spar Jake, I could use one hand.
      “Just my jab, I wouldn’t even have to use the banger. Just my jab – I would out-jab, out-hook and out-uppercut him. I would embarrass him.
      “This isn’t a shot at Jake Paul. This is how skilled I am. You’re not as great a boxer as me.
      “If you are? Go to the Olympics and [win a] medal. Go.”

      Paul, 24, is 4-0 as a boxer and most recently beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, in August over eight rounds.
      It added to knockouts over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, both 37.
      He is now in talks to fight Tommy Fury, 22, the brother to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, 32.
      Shields meanwhile, is undefeated at 11-0 and has reigned as undisputed champ at TWO weights.
      She is also 1-0 in MMA and returns to the cage tonight in Professional Fighters League’s seasonal finale against Abigail Montes.
      Shields will then made a swift comeback in December to build to a super-fight with ex-amateur rival Savannah Marshall, the only boxer to beat the American.

      The unbeaten fighter is the self-proclaimed ‘Greatest Women of All Time’ – and says she would have no problem in the ring with Paul.
      Shields said: “I sparred those guys too who are Olympic silver and gold medallists.
      “Jake couldn’t grace the ring with those guys because they would destroy him, just like I would.
      “This isn’t disrespectful. I am a skilled boxer – respect it and know it. Just because I’m a woman?
      “This is real-life stuff. I box for real. I’m not a play-fighter.”

      ‘He has to jump in’ – Tyson Fury’s trainer hands Anthony Joshua advice and urges rival to take immediate Usyk rematch

      ANTHONY JOSHUA has been backed to go into an immediate rematch with Oleksandr Usyk by Tyson Fury’s trainer. AJ was dethroned of the unified heavyweight titles in September as he fell victim to a boxing masterclass by Usyk.

      But already Joshua has invoked his right to an immediate rematch, like he did against Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019.
      The British superstar, 32, was stunned by Ruiz, 32, in seven rounds but six months later sweet revenge was secured.
      And SugarHill Steward – Fury’s coach – believes Joshua is making the right decision by trying to repeat history.
      He told FightHubTV: “He has to jump into that fight with Usyk, the plan’s already been laid out. He’s done it once before with Ruiz.
      “This is just another step for Anthony Joshua – something he overcame last time and something he can overcome again this time.”
      Two weeks after Joshua’s second career loss, Fury, 33, dramatically knocked out Deontay Wilder, 36, in round 11 of their trilogy bout.

      He is now set to be ordered into a WBC mandatory title defence against Dillian Whyte, 33, who recently pulled out of his fight with Otto Wallin, 30, with injury.
      SuugarHill said: “Me and Tyson Fury feel the same way – it’s whoever the promotional team puts together to fight.
      “Whoever the best boxers are out there in the world, those are the guys he wants to fight. Simple as that.
      Asked if that includes Whyte, Joshua and Usyk, he replied: “Yep, any of them. Doesn’t matter, I’m training for the same thing – knockouts.”
      Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum recently confirmed the unbeaten champion will make a UK homecoming for the first time in four years in his next fight.

      But the beaten Brit has promised to gain revenge in the most brutal of ways and adopt a ruthless approach when they go to ‘war’ again.
      Joshua told iFL TV: “I’m done with f***ing losing. I’m done with trying to learn the sweet science.
      “The referee might get thrown on the floor in the next fight because this is war.
      “It’s just straight war, I’m annoyed. I’m boiling up even speaking about it – it’s that passion to win.”
      Joshua, 32, has invoked his right to an immediate rematch against Usyk, 34, which is now pencilled in for March in the UK.
      AJ first lost his heavyweight throne in June 2019 in a shock upset loss in round seven to outsider Andy Ruiz Jr.

      But he went right back into the firing line six months later to outbox Ruiz, 32, and reclaim the gold.
      That night AJ switched up his style to outthink the Mexican-American, but those same tactics proved his downfall against Usyk.
      But Joshua, who has 22 knockouts in his 24 wins, ruthlessly warned Usyk he will ‘take his soul’ next time around.
      He said: “He’s had like 400 amateur fights, he’s seen people that have tried to rough him up, millions of times, so to just try and adapt one style is silly.
      “But for me I have one thing in my mind, that’s war, that’s murder, that’s war, let’s go out there and hurt the guy.
      “Take his soul to the point where he wants to give up. That’s what boxing’s about, I’ve learned that.
      “You hit people constantly, keep on applying a certain amount of pressure, before they know it they’ll realise you aren’t going anywhere, you’re here to stay.
      “With the game plan, that’s all I have in my mind at the minute, that one track, stay on course, take this guy to places he doesn’t want to go.”

      Fury retained his WBC heavyweight champ belt by knocking Wilder out in the 11th round on October 9 – just two weeks after Joshua lost all his to Usyk on points.
      But the Brit heaped praise on Fury and his corner and told iFL TV: “Fury done really well for a man in his first title defence as a champion.
      “It shows just how tough it is being champion at the moment.
      “But he did very well to come through the storm, but SugarHill deserves a round of applause in the corner.
      “That helped him a lot having that trust and wisdom in his corner, a great corner set-up.
      “Well done to him WBC champion of the world and two-time champion it is lovely for his wife and family particularly his old man [John Fury] who deserves it and is his biggest f****** supporter.

      Joshua has triggered his Usyk rematch clause and Eddie Hearn is targeting a March or April battle.
      He will hope to face Fury in a mega-money fight soon after but it remains unclear whether Wilder will ever fight again.
      However, AJ reckons the American could still achive big things if he uses his second defeat to Fury as ‘fuel’.
      Joshua added: “I would have iced half the mother f****** he has in his fights.
      “And then you come up against one or two good fighters and it shows how difficult it is at the top level.
      “And he is trying to learn now because he has realised ’s*** Fury is a decent fighter’ and if he uses his ability to learn as fuel he could go far in the next three or four years.
      “Whereas I have learned from my experiences such as taking punches, trying not to get hit.

      Usyk defeated AJ via unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London and the two heavyweights appear set for a rematch in March.
      The British superstar has been training in various different gyms in the US but has not separated from McCracken, who guided him to two world titles.
      Joshua told iFL TV when asked if his trainer would stay put: “Yeah, and he has to speak to the people I may want to work with and see if he can work with them.
      “I had the same conversation with Rob: ‘I want to work with you, but I also want to work with this guy for six months’.
      “Rob might tell me, ‘You know what champ, this ain’t working for me. For the next six months, you do your thing and come and see me after.’ It’s mature conversations. My life, my health is on the line.
      “I need to go and get some new teachings from guys that have trained – Robert Garcia trained 13, 14 world champions. They’ve got so many generations of teachings.

      A youngster approached the 44-year-old to request a selfie at Saturday’s NBA fixture between the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies at LA’s Staples Center.
      But Mayweather was heard saying: “You got painted nails, I don’t take pictures with guys with no painted nails.”
      The individual, who shared the clip of his experience, was then pushed away by several of the fighter’s entourage and bodyguards.
      The fan was shocked by Mayweather’s remarks and said: “Floyd doesn’t want to take a picture with me because my nails are painted. Bruh, really?!”
      He was then also heard saying: “Damn boy, Floyd’s a homophobe.”
      A representative for Mayweather has stated that he did not pose for a photo as he was rushing to leave the game.

      He also denies claims of homophobia and said that could not be any further from the truth.
      TMZ states that the former five-weight world champion did pose for a number of other fans at the game.
      However, it seems that maybe this particular man’s manicure choices were too much for Mayweather.
      It seems the star may not be down with what is becoming a growing fashion trend.
      Big names in the music world such as Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, Yungblud and Harry Styles have all been spotted with painted nails.

      That game plan resulted in Joshua losing his heavyweight belts for a second time, but Hatton insisted he could reclaim them with a more front-foot approach.
      He told MailOnline: “My advice if AJ was listening to me now: they’ve all written you off anyway, they all think Usyk is going to win the fight even more comfortably – use that as your fuel to ram it down their throats.
      “If they think you’re going to get beat anyway, you’ve got nothing to lose, son. F***ing go and grab it by the balls.
      “I’d keep the tactics dead simple: ‘(Usyk) outboxed me last time, this time I’m going to f****** bash you.’
      “At this level, it’s probably not as simple as that, but I just think there’s so much AJ’s got to offer.”

      Pundits and commentators have been queuing up to have their say, with Tony Bellew just one example of boxing voices telling AJ to up the ante.
      Hatton is convinced the Watford fighter has what it takes to reclaim his titles given he’s already done it before against Andy Ruiz Jr.
      Hatton added: “In the rematch, a lot of people say Usyk will do the same again, only he’ll put his foot on the gas a little bit earlier and might stop AJ. I think the opposite.
      “You’ve got to be able to adapt, and if it’s one thing AJ has it’s that adaptability.
      “He can box, as he proved by winning Olympic gold and regaining the heavyweight title. He can mix it up.”

      Unsurprisingly, Canelo is the big favourite going into the Las Vegas showdown, despite Plant being undefeated in 21 fights.
      The WBA Super, WBC, IBF, WBO and Ring Magazine titles will be on the line and one man will be crowed the FIRST EVER undisputed super-middleweight champ.
      Showtime Boxing uploaded some footage of Canelo hammering in some brutal-looking punches on the bag as he nears the end of fight camp.
      Alvarez was last in action back in May, when he TKO’d Billy Joe Saunders in the 8th round of their title clash in Texas.
      Plant has had to wait a little longer for this fight, having not fought since January, when he outpointed Caleb Truax.
      The Nashville fighter won his first world title in 2019, beating Venezuelan Jose Uzcategui, and has since defended it three times.

      Alvarez is on a hot streak of wins following his draw with Gennady Golovkin back in 2017.
      He’s since beaten Golovkin, Rocky Fielding, Daniel Jacobs, Sergey Kovalev, Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim and Saunders, becoming a four-weight world champion in the process.
      Alvarez and Plant had originally planned to clash back in September, but negotiations fell through before a solution was found weeks later.
      The fight will be held on Showtime pay-per-view in the U.S., which will be the first time Alvarez hasn’t fought on DAZN stateside since 2018.
      A win for either fighter would crown the second undisputed champion in 2021, after Josh Taylor picked up all the belts at 140lbs in his win over Jose Ramirez back in May.
