The pair 31 and 29 respectively, came to blows during a heated press conference last month – with Plant suffering a small cut under his eye.
And pound-for-pound king Canelo is determined to make Sweethands pay for his pre-fight antics in brutal fashion.
The Mexican said: “It’s new for me to have this much bad blood with an opponent.
“It’s very different from normal and it’s definitely the most animosity I’ve had with an opponent heading into a big fight.
“I’m sticking with my prediction of a knockout before round eight.
“The first couple of rounds will be difficult, but as the fight progresses, I am going to be able to get him out of there.

“I delivered the message I had to at our press conference. I don’t have to say anything else to Plant. I’m just going to prepare to face him in the ring on November 6.”
The viral scuffle between Canelo and Plant began when the Tennesse titan attempted to slap his opponent.
And Guadalajara gladiator Canelo believes his foe will find it tough to keep his emotions in check during fight week.
He continued: “I’ve never been involved in anything like what happened at the first press conference between me and Caleb.
“I’ve been in the ring for huge fights like this a lot of times.
“For him, it’s going to be a challenge being in there for a fight of this magnitude for the first time. He’s going to have to control his emotions.”

Canelo Alvarez says Caleb Plant fight will be ‘a little easy for me’
Plant goes into the Sin City showdown as a huge underdog, but his good friend Andre Ward reckons he’ll shock the world and dethrone Canelo.
During an appearance on Max on Boxing, the former light-heavyweight king said: “This is a great fight and a great opportunity for a fighter like Caleb Plant.
“I love this moment in his career where he’s fought solid competition and he has the look and makings of a fighter that can go to the next level.
“He has to prove it. I love these proving moments, and he’s getting that opportunity against Canelo on November 6. Trust me, it’s not going 12.
“The thing about Caleb Plant, he couldn’t land a sucker punch on Canelo in the press conference. Canelo’s defense is real.

“He’s got to hit him in the ring now and Canelo knows it’s coming. Who do you like in that fight? Canelo or Caleb Plant?
“I’m going to go with Caleb Plant. That’s my brother, so I’m going to support him all the way, but he’s got to prove it.
“He’s got the ability, he’s got the skills, but he’s got to turn up.”

Oleksandr Usyk leaps to defence of Anthony Joshua and says Brit turned in ‘brilliant’ display in Tottenham tussle

OLEKSANDR USYK has leapt to the defence of Anthony Joshua – insisting the Brit turned in a ‘brilliant’ display in their Tottenham tussle.Slick southpaw Usyk ripped the unified heavyweight titles from Joshua’s grasp with a boxing masterclass at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Joshua, 32, was ridiculed for trying to out-fox the wily Usyk, but the Ukrainian reckons AJ has been wrongly criticised.
He told DAZN: “It’s unfortunate to hear that they are being harsh on Joshua’s performance, because I was there in the ring with him and he was very good.
“I really do not know where they find grounds for criticism. It was truly a brilliant fight.
“I am now preparing for another challenging match against him next year and I will need to be at my best to keep my championships.”
Uysk and Joshua will renew their rivalry early next year, although a date for their rematch has not been finalised.
Joshua has been urged to axe head coach Rob McCraken for the potentially do-or-die bout.

But the prospect of facing a new and improved AJ doesn’t faze the former undisputed cruiserweight king.
He said: “I am not sure who will train Joshua for the rematch.
“I have seen the speculation about who he may hire for next year but it does not matter to us who trains him.
“Our goal is to be prepared for everything and I train to improve my own chances, not based on my opponent.
“He also promised to be more aggressive and dangerous in the rematch.
“If that is the case, great. I’d be glad to experience that side of Joshua. I am sure it will be another brilliant fight.”
Joshua is champing at the bit to settle the score with Usyk and avenge his second professional loss, telling iFL TV: “I’m done with losing.

“I’m done with trying to learn the sweet science. [Usyk] might get thrown on the floor in the next fight because this is war.”
He added: “I’m heading into my 12th world title fight now and the learning is done. It’s done. It’s just war.
“I’m annoyed. I’m boiling up just speaking about it.”

Tommy Fury’s dad John says Jake Paul ‘can’t beat’ Love Island star ‘no matter what’ ahead of December 18 grudge match

JOHN FURY said Jake Paul ‘can’t beat’ his son Tommy ‘no matter what’ ahead of their December 18 grudge match. The celebrity boxing rivals have finally confirmed their eagerly anticipated fight, set to take place in Miami, Florida.

John Fury says his son Tommy can’t be beaten by the YouTube star turned boxerCredit: Rex
Tommy is trained by his dad John, who opened up about the tough negotiations before the bout was signed.
He told BT Sport Boxing earlier this month: “They’re being awkward. The contract has been bizarre.
“If I was going go go through what they’ve put in the contract we’d be here all day.
“I’ve said yes to everything; yes, yes, yes, yes – do what you’ve got to do because I know Jake Paul can’t beat Tommy no matter what he does.”
Due to previous criminal convictions, John is unable to enter the US and will not be in Tommy’s corner on the night.
But he revealed his other son, unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, will be and soon flies out to America where he will link up with his brother.

John said: “Tommy knows he’s up against a stacked deck, but he should still beat Jake Paul at a canter.
“And if he can’t, there’s no way in the boxing world for him.
“It’s make or break, for both men, but it’ll hit Tommy harder because Tommy’s supposed to be a professional boxer.
“Tommy will work hard, he’ll do what he’s gotta do. Has Tommy got the skill to beat him? Yes. Has he got the power to knock him out? Yes.
“All it is with Tommy – he’s young, can he handle the big occasion on the night?
“But I’m sure he’s thought about it many times before and he’s got the king of the ring in his corner.
“Tyson’s gonna be in his corner that night. I think Tyson’s flying out there in a few weeks to help him out.
“Whatever desire he’s missing, Tyson will put there, I’m sure of that.”

Devin Haney offers himself to fight Gervonta Davis if Rolando Romero is withdrawn amid sexual assault allegations

EDDIE HEARN revealed Devin Haney has offered himself to face Gervonta Davis if Rolando Romero is withdrawn amid sexual assault allegations. Romero faces being pulled out of his Showtime pay-per-view fight with Davis after a police report was filed against him.

A new opponent is being looked into and according to ESPN, Mexican Isaac Cruz is the frontrunner if a substitute is needed.
But promoter Hearn revealed WBC lightweight champion Haney – still in talks to fight JoJo Diaz – is also prepared to fill in for Romero.
He said: “I spoke to Devin Haney earlier, and I said, ‘Are you happy for me to put your name in the mix?’
“And he said yeah, because at the moment ‘No-go Diaz’ has not signed his contract after being offered more to fight Devin Haney than he was getting to fight Ryan Garcia.
“So we’ll have to see what happens, but we want to make the JoJo Diaz fight. But he’s got to hurry up and sign the contract.”
Diaz, 28, was due to fight Garcia, 23, but the unbeaten American pulled out injured.

He has since verbally agreed to instead face Haney, 22, but has not officially signed his side of the deal.
Davis was set to fight Romero, both 26, on December 5 in Los Angeles.
But several women have come forward and accused Romero of sexual assault.
A spokesperson for the Henderson (Nevada) Police Department confirmed to ESPN that they received a report on Friday involving the boxer.
The spokesperson said there is an open investigation connected to the alleged incident.
Showtime executive Stephen Espinoza told FightHype: “Obviously those are disturbing allegations, very concerning.
“At this point we’re still monitoring the situation, looking to find out all the facts.
“And until we feel like we have a firm grasp we’re not gonna comment further, but it is something we’re looking into very seriously.”

Dillian Whyte to be officially ordered to fight Tyson Fury after WBC received ‘medical certification’ of his injury

DILLIAN WHYTE is set to be officially ordered to fight Tyson Fury after the WBC received ‘medical certification’ of his shoulder injury.Whyte was due to face Otto Wallin over the weekend until he was forced to withdraw after suffering the setback in training.

    WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury
It saw his fight with Wallin scrapped, despite the winner being guaranteed a shot at Fury’s WBC crown.
But the sanctioning body have seen evidence of his injury, so are poised to call Whyte, 33, to fight Fury, 33, instead of rescheduling the bout with Wallin, 30.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman told talkSPORT: “The WBC order was very clear, that the winner of Fury vs Wilder has one month to try to secure the ultimate unification against Usyk, who defeated Joshua.
“If they’re not capable of doing such, then the WBC would go with a mandatory, which is the interim champion.
“We have received from the British Boxing Board of Control the medical certification that Whyte could not fight Wallin because of the injury.
“So we are going to do what we promised, which is that way we are moving forward.”

Whyte’s WBC interim title, which he was set to defend against Wallin, means he is mandatory for Fury’s belt.
The British contender has been waiting for almost four years for his shot at the title – and promoter Eddie Hearn hopes for a stadium filler in the UK next year.
Hearn said on DAZN: “We’re going to see it, we’re going to push for that fight in a big stadium in the spring, and I believe we’ll see that next.
“I think it’s been four or five years since Tyson Fury boxed in England, and he should come back and box in England because he’s done amazing for English and British boxing, and he’ll get a great reception himself.
“Dillian is popular. That is a war, that fight. That is a war. He’s been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, and that fight is going to fill up a stadium and do a huge audience as well.
“It’s time to see Dillian Whyte get a shot at the world heavyweight title.”

Deontay Wilder to go on holiday after hand surgery but will return to training ‘in a few months’ ahead of May comeback

DEONTAY WILDER will go on holiday before returning to training ‘in a few months’ ahead of a May comeback fight. The American heavyweight was beaten after 11 brilliant rounds against Tyson Fury in their trilogy bout in Las Vegas.
Deontay Wilder will go on holiday before returning to training ‘in a few months’Credit: Getty
And he had to have surgery on his right hand following an injury sustained in the gruelling yet thrilling fight.
Wilder will now enjoy some well earned down time before getting right back to business.
His trainer Malik Scott told World Boxing News: “Deontay said he’s going to go on vacation, and I’m all for that.
“And in a few months, we’ll be back in camp, and he’ll be fighting.”
Wilder, 36, was handed a six-month medical suspension after defeat to Fury, 33, meaning he can return to the ring by April.
Scott said: “We should be back in camp, in my opinion, no later than March and fight in May.
“Or we may be back in camp before March. It all depends on how he recovers, how he’s feeling, how everything’s going.”

Wilder, who twice floored Fury in round four of their trilogy, was three times dropped before finally being knocked out.
But the resilient former champion never stopped coming forward and even in defeat restored his reputation.
Super-fights with the likes of Anthony Joshua, 32, Andy Ruiz Jr, 32, or Dillian Whyte, 33, are all exciting prospects for the Bronze Bomber.
But coach Scott warned their comeback bout will be step down in level, but only a slight one.
He said: “With Deontay, obviously, the first fight back is not going to be at the level that he just left. We have to do things the right way.
“But at the same time, we can’t go much lower than that because he’s a high entertainment revenue fighter.
We should be back in camp, in my opinion, no later than March and fight in May. Deontay Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott
“He’s big-time boxing. We have to give him a threat because Deontay gets up for threats.
“Obviously, it won’t be a Fury level, but it won’t be somebody down in the bucket. We’re not going to get somebody with a record of 27-11.
“That’s not happening. It has to be a name that fans have heard of.”
Despite the loss, Wilder had a huge part to play in what turned out to be an instant classic in Sin City.
And even Scott could sit back and appreciate the all-out action when watching it back to study what went wrong.
He revealed: “It was so good. It was such a good fight. Deontay would be out on his feet, and I knew we had clipped Fury.
    ‘REAL BATTLE OF THE GIANTS’
“Then Fury would come back, and then he would knock Fury down, and Fury would get up.
“There were certain shots Fury was hitting Deontay with that he was on fumes.
“He caught Deontay with a shot one time from the blindside, and Deontay took that shot and continued to fight.
“Fury continued to come forward. I’ve never seen a gutsy balls trilogy at that level in the heavyweight division.
“That was a real battle of the giants. Before the fight, I called Fury a very, very good fighter.
“After the fight, I gave him his credit and called him a great fighter because he beat a great fighter.”

Tommy Fury ‘should go to a desert island and just stay there for life’ if he loses to Jake Paul, claims Eddie Hearn

PROMOTER Eddie Hearn has heaped pressure on Tommy Fury, telling him he should go to a ‘desert island’ if he is beaten by Jake Paul. The pair are finally set to face off on December 18 after months of back-and-forth on social media.

He will fight American YouTuber and social media star Paul in Tampa later this yearCredit: Instagram / @jakepaul
And after claims from Tyson and John Fury that Tommy will come out on top, Hearn has also waded in on the situation.
He has declared unbeaten professional Tommy, 22, should ‘never’ be beaten by Paul, 24.
Speaking on the hotly anticipated clash, via talkSPORT’s Michael Benson, Hearn said: “Logic would tell you a pro that boxed for a living and was also Tyson Fury’s brother should never lose to Jake Paul…
“If Tommy loses, he should go to a desert island and just stay there for life. It would be the most embarrassing thing.”
Hearn also responded to claims that Paul didn’t deserve a shot at fighting Fury.
The promoter said: “I don’t agree with all these comments, ‘It’s not fair they’re earning all this money and you’ve got this other guy whose grinding and not getting the opportunities.’ Well he ain’t good enough and he’s not built a fanbase like Jake Paul, so tough s***.”

Meanwhile Tommy’s half-brother Tyson recently claimed he would change Tommy’s last name if he fails to beat Paul.
Tyson said: “If Tommy can’t splatter Jake Paul, I’ll retire him from boxing myself.
“He’s got ambitions of being a world champion, never mind beating some YouTube guy.
“His name’s Fury. If he can’t beat Jake Paul, I’ll have to change his name.”
Paul meanwhile challenged Fury to change his surname for a YEAR if he loses their grudge match.
And Tommy’s dads John revealed Tyson will fly to Las Vegas to train his brother in the same city that The Gypsy King knocked out Deontay Wilder earlier this month.
Outspoken Paul on the other hand has claimed he will enlist the services of viral social media star Hasbulla to help coach him. More
