It’s been revealed that Fury must change his surname if he loses the battle of social media stars, with doting dad John revealing there are a number of ‘awkward’ stipulations.
The 57-year-old told BT Sport: “[Paul’s team] are being awkward.
“The contract has been bizarre. If I was going to go through what they’ve put in the contract, we’d be here all day.
“I’ve said yes to everything; yes, yes, yes, yes, do what you’ve got to do because I know Jake Paul can’t beat Tommy no matter what he does.”
Fury, 22, will pocket a £423,000 bonus if he gets the better of The Problem Child, although he’ll legally be obliged to change his name to ‘Tommy Fumbles’ if he loses.
An excerpt of the pair’s bout agreement which read: “If Fury is declared the winner of the Bout, Paul hereby agrees to pay Fury Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) directly from Paul’s purse as an additional fighter bonus.

“However, if Paul is declared the winner of the Bout, Fury hereby agrees to (i) commence, within thirty (30) days of the conclusion of the Bout, an application process with the Royal Courts of Justice in the United Kingdom to obtain a deed poll legally changing Fury’s name to “Tommy Fumbles,” (ii) change, within twenty four (24) hours of the Bout, all of his social media accounts to reflect the name “Tommy Fumbles:, and (iii) immediately after the Bout utilise the name “Tommy Fumbles” in all forms of media…”
Fury – the half-brother of WBC heavyweight Tyson – has a wealth of boxing experience to his name in comparison to Paul.
And dad John is confident his son will do a number on the outspoken and divisive Youtuber.
He said: “Tommy knows he’s up against a stacked deck, but he should still beat Jake Paul at a canter.
“And if he can’t, there’s no way in the boxing world for him.
“It’s make or break, for both men, but it’ll hit Tommy harder because Tommy’s supposed to be a professional boxer.
“Tommy will work hard, he’ll do what he’s gotta do.
“Has Tommy got the skill to beat him? Yes. Has he got the power to knock him out? Yes.
“All it is with Tommy – he’s young, can he handle the big occasion on the night?

“But I’m sure he’s thought about it many times before and he’s got the king of the ring in his corner.
“Tyson’s gonna be in his corner that night. I think Tyson’s flying out there in a few weeks to help him out.
“Whatever desire he’s missing, Tyson will put there, I’m sure of that.”

“December 18 in Tampa Bay I’m changing this w***er’s name to Tommy Fumbles and celebrating with Tom Brady.
“Pucker up Timmy… it’s time to kiss your last name and your family’s boxing legacy goodbye.”
Tommy Fury: “This is an easy fight for me. A real easy fight. I’ve been doing this job since I was 7.

‘Lack of confidence in gameplan’ – Anthony Joshua asks head of security for advice ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch

EDDIE Hearn has revealed Anthony Joshua had a ‘lack of confidence’ before his fight against Oleksandr Usyk in September. The 32-year-old former heavyweight champion asked his head of security for advice on his gameplan for the bout before being outboxed over 12 rounds by the Ukrainian.

And AJ’s promoter Hearn has now revealed what the Watford-born fighter said to head of security and former heavyweight Clifton Mitchell before the clash.
The promoter believes Joshua had too many voices in his ear before facing Usyk.
He told True Geordie’s Pain Game podcast: “There was too much information and too many points of view.
“When he gets in the ring Clifton Mitchell his head of security is there and he is of course a former heavyweight champion.
“And he goes in to the ring and starts talking to him about the fight, ‘oh what do you think Clifton?’ and that is a sign that there is a lack of confidence in the gameplan and what you have to do.
“If you know categorically what you have to do and if you don’t do it you will be f****** told during that one minute break between rounds, you don’t go searching for the answers.
“The problem is with AJ is that he is smart, but he needs to know that he has the strategy right and is prepared with repetition.”

AJ came under fire for trying to match the crafty Ukrainian for boxing skills when they faced off at Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
So he recently jetted out to America to trial new coaches to work with him alongside current trainer McCracken.
That would seemingly further increase the tactical points of view within his camp.
But the Brit has confirmed he knows TWO ways in which he can win the rematch against Usyk.
Joshua has invoked his rematch clause with former cruiserweight Usyk and is expected to battle the newly-crowned champ again around March.
And he could even have Tyson Fury help train him after The Gypsy King offered his services for the rematch.
Joshua seemingly accepted Fury’s help and even wants to spar with the fellow Brit before his second bout against Usyk.

‘A dream team’ – Tyson Fury’s trainer wants Anthony Joshua to link up with Brit rival for Oleksandr Usyk training camp

Rival AJ was then beaten by Oleksandr Usyk in September, leaving plans of an all-British unifier in tatters.
Fury, 33, then took the unusual step of offering to help Joshua ‘fight like a big man’ ahead of his rematch with the Ukrainian, likely to take place in the spring.
And Steward thinks it could be a good idea.
The American told talkSPORT: “I mean, you look at the situation here,.
“You have any other sport right; you have basketball, you got football, you got soccer, American football…
“You got guys that are friends or very competitive champions, and you see people now, put together teams.

“They’re putting together dream teams or things like that, as far as basketball or football or anything other kind of sport like that.
“These guys are joining up with each other, playing for the same team, to be successful.”
Joshua accepted Fury’s offer last week, telling iFL TV: “Yeah lovely mate. If he takes no money for it. I don’t know if he’s after a quid or two.
“He’s more than welcome to come through the doors, he can even spar with me as well. I need a coach that’s lived it, breathed it, so it’ll be perfect.
“That’ll be the easiest way to get him in the ring. I’ll set up a camera, Eddie [Hearn] will be there with a few cameras running it on Facebook or YouTube.”
I’m seeing pictures with Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Muhammad Ali, all sitting together, in each others training camps.Anthony Joshua
Joshua, a keen boxing historian, has no fears in welcoming Fury into his camp.
He said: “I’m seeing pictures with Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Muhammad Ali, all sitting together, in each others training camps.
“I feel like I’ve been tucked away a lot. Come into my training camp, come and see what the heavyweight champion gets up to.
“Tyson can definitely come and watch me train, 100 per cent.
“Sparring ain’t fighting, so he can definitely come in, he’s more than welcome to step in to the gym and give me some tips.
“I’m not fighting him next anyway so he ain’t got nothing to worry about.”

Wilder, 36, is currently banned from competing until April but plans to return to the ring shortly after serving his medical suspension.
Coach Malik Scott told World Boxing News: “We should be back in camp, in my opinion, no later than March and fight in May.
“Or we may be back in camp before March. It all depends on how he recovers, how he’s feeling, how everything’s going.”
He added: “Deontay said he’s going to go on vacation, and I’m all for that, and in a few months, we’ll be back in camp, and he’ll be fighting.”
Scott insists his former opponent’s return to the ring won’t be a tune-up fight.
He said: “With Deontay, obviously, the first fight back is not going to be at the level that he just left. We have to do things the right way.

“But at the same time, we can’t go much lower than that because he’s a high entertainment revenue fighter.
“He’s big-time boxing. We have to give him a threat because Deontay gets up for threats.
“Obviously, it won’t be a Fury level, but it won’t be somebody down in the bucket.
“We’re not going to get somebody with a record of 27-11. That’s not happening.
“It has to be a name that fans have heard of.”
Although his man didn’t have his hand raised, Scott admits he thoroughly enjoyed Wilder’s epic trilogy fight with The Gypsy King.

He said: “It was so good. It was such a good fight. Deontay would be out on his feet, and I knew we had clipped Fury.
“Then Fury would come back, and then he would knock Fury down, and Fury would get up.
“There were certain shots Fury was hitting Deontay with that he was on fumes.
“He caught Deontay with a shot one time from the blindside, and Deontay took that shot and continued to fight.
“Fury continued to come forward. I’ve never seen a gutsy balls trilogy at that level in the heavyweight division.
“That was a real battle of the giants.
“Before the fight, I called Fury a very, very good fighter.
“After the fight, I gave him his credit and called him a great fighter because he beat a great fighter.”

Dillian Whyte reveals he ordered medics to inject his shoulder with morphine to get Wallin fight on as he calls out Fury

DILLIAN WHYTE has revealed that he ‘begged’ his team to let him inject his shoulder with morphine to get his fight with Otto Wallin on.The Brit reportedly suffered an injury during his training camp in Portugal.

Whyte, 33, had been set to fight Wallin before finally getting a shot at WBC gold against Tyson Fury.
But the Body Snatcher is now set to bypass the frustrated Swede into a title shot.
Addressing claims that the timing of his injury was ‘convenient’, Whyte said: “We need to put some respect on my name. Listen, I’ll fight anyone; I don’t care.
“I’m always willing to go and ready to fight, but my injury, I tried to make the fight.”
On what he’d been willing to do get his fight with Wallin on, he then added: “I begged my team to put some morphine in my shoulder to numb it for three or four rounds and go in there and give it hell.
“But they said, ‘Don’t be stupid, this isn’t your last fight. It’s not like your 40 and have one fight left in your career.

“So, they’re the brains, and I’m the muscleman, and I have to listen to what they say because they’ve guided me well and taken no wrong steps in my career.
“Let’s be honest. Who do you want to see me fight? Otto Wallin or Tyson Fury. Let’s go, baby.”
Whyte has taken risky fights in the past when in a commanding position to compete for the belt.
He earned the WBC interim heavyweight title by defeating Oscar Rivas in 2019, before beating Mariusz Wach in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia later that year.
Whyte then suffered defeat to Alexander Povetkin in August last year, before avenging his loss to the Russian in March.
He is now set to be officially ordered to fight Fury, rather than have his Wallin bout rescheduled, after the WBC received ‘medical certification’ of his shoulder issue.

Covington aggressively pursued a rematch with Africa’s first UFC champion after their war for the ages in December 2019 but was unsuccessful.
And Chaos claims the Nigerian Nightmare has only agreed to give him a shot at redemption for fear of being stripped of the belt.
He told ESPN: “It’s been such a journey. It’s been tough. It wasn’t supposed to happen.
“They did not want it to happen. His manager, they were refusing.
“They were trying to find every way in the book out of fighting this rematch.
“They didn’t want this fight and the only reason they have to take it is the UFC gave them no choice.

“They said, ‘Hey, you fight this fight or we strip you. It’s one or the other.’
“‘You’ve got to come out and prove you’re the best in the world. There needs to be no controversy surrounding this fight.’ So it’s been tough.”
Covington and Usman, 33 and 34 respectively, locked horns with one another in the main event of UFC 245 in December 2019.
Following a back-and-forth affair, Usman retained the 170lb strap with a fifth-round TKO victory.
Covington has only fought once since that fateful night in Las Vegas, registering a fifth-round TKO victory over his old team-mate and former welterweight champ Tyron Woodley.
And the former interim 170lb titleholder has attributed his inactivity to the top contenders in the division refusing to face him.

He said: “The fact is no one wanted to fight me. Go to Hunter Campbell, go to Dana White, ask them the truth. No one would fight me.
‘Street Judas’ [Jorge] Masvidal, they wanted to make this big hype fight, best friends turned rivals who hate each other’s guts now.
“He was running his mouth in the media saying all this and that, ‘I’ll drop Colby on sight, that guy’s fragile, blah blah blah.’
“I was trying to put on the biggest and best fights for the UFC.
“No one wanted to take the bait so now we are here and we get the best fight in the welterweight division and it’s gonna be a real treat for the fans.”
Covington will happily jump right into a trilogy fight with Usman should he level their series this weekend.
But he doesn’t foresee Usman following suit.
    SunSport’s latest pound-for-pound UFC rankings
He told Yahoo Sports: “I’m not going to be a coward. I’m going to give the people what they want.
“If they want this trilogy, I’ll do it right away. The thing is, after I finish him next weekend, he’s not going to want to come back. It’s going to be a life-changing defeat.
