Jake Paul refusal to be drug tested for Tommy Fury fight ‘suspect’ and ‘bizarre’ – claims UFC legend Michael Bisping

UFC legend Michael Bisping says it is ‘bizarre’ and ‘suspect’ that Jake Paul will allegedly refuse to be drug tested ahead of his clash with Tommy Fury.Fury’s father John was the first to claim that the controversial YouTuber had turned down voluntary testing.

And he says he is convinced that the American is ‘hiding something’ ahead of the December 18 fight.
Paul defeated ex-UFC man Tyron Woodley in August and took part in drug testing for that fight.
But that was on behalf of the Ohio Athletic Commission – which is not the recognised Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).
Woodley accused Paul of taking steroids ahead of their bout and claimed he had not been drug tested, despite producing a negative test.
Now Bisping has hit out at Paul’s strange decision to allegedly turn down VADA testing – something the 24-year-old has yet to confirm.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “Recently we have seen the rise of Jake Paul.

“Jake Paul is doing great things in combat sports and he’s young in his career.
“But I just saw, a moment ago an MMA Junkie article said that he hasn’t allowed drug testing to happen, for his latest against Tommy Fury, which is bizarre.
“He’s put in all kinds of stipulations about ‘you got to change your name to Tommy Fumbles’ and this and that.
“There’s all kinds of things in there, all kinds of stipulations, lots of rules, lots of work for the lawyers to put in, but he refused or said he didn’t want to have VADA testing in there.
“Which is, I don’t know, that’s a little suspect, I don’t know, I mean if you’ve got nothing to hide.”
After being accused of using PEDS during the build-up to Woodley, Paul said: “Yeah so I woke up a couple of mornings ago and my manager sent me that headline and said, ‘Hey hope you see this’.
“So I first swiped up on my phone and typed in ‘what are PEDs’.
“This is honestly hilarious, how many excuses are they gonna make?
“People were saying ‘Ben Askren is going to beat Jake Paul’, ‘Nate Robinson is the betting favourite, he is just a YouTuber’.
“They just know now that I am coming for their five-time UFC champion, I am gonna knock him out and they are trying to make up any excuse they possibly can.
“It’s a real professional fight with commissions and drug testing, so how are these people coming up with that?
“I am looking at it as a compliment as I am making light work of these people, and they are running out of excuses.” More

Neither a date or location has been determined for that targeted 2022 bout.
Meanwhile, after the WBC failed to determine Dillian Whyte as his mandatory challenger, Fury has no opponent to make the February or March ring return he wants.
Fury and Usyk have fought 51 times between them without defeat and currently own every belt in the heavyweight division.
Now Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk has told Sky Sports his fighter is ready to face the Gypsy King – depending on AJ.
He said: “The talks on AJ’s step aside have been around since Fury KO’d Wilder.
“I heard that Joshua could consider stepping aside if the money is right as he feels respect to the division and is willing to let the undisputed heavyweight championship happen.

“Usyk says that he can fight Fury next if the offer is right and if AJ allows to do so.”
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn did not make any response to Krassyuk’s remarks.
But he has previously revealed that his man’s plans for the Usyk rematch were being put in place.
He said: “AJ is already in camp physically and mentally for the Usyk rematch, and it’s all he has thought about since the night of the first fight.” More

‘I had to make changes’ – ‘Angry’ Anthony Joshua reveals he’s training with new coaches ahead of crunch Usyk rematch

ANTHONY JOSHUA admits he ‘had to make changes’ to his team following his devastating defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.AJ had the unified heavyweight titles ripped from grasp by the slick southpaw in their September showdown at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Joshua, 32, has sought the help of coaches in America in preparation for a do-or-die rematch with the Ukrainian and believes a change of approach has been long overdue.
The Watford warrior said: “I had to make changes.
“If you remain the same, you get the same results. I’ve got to look at myself, I can only be accountable for me.”
Two-time heavyweight king Joshua is still livid with the approach he adopted for his Tottenham tussle with the crafty Usk.
He told the BBC: “I’m angry at myself and the only way I can be in a better place is to get myself right by going out there and performing.
“It’s going to be like this for a few months.

“I do things with a smile on my face, but behind that, there’s a lot of tension brewing and the only way to get it out is by training and performing.”
Defeat to the undefeated Usyk – which has potentially scuppered a multi-million-pound Battle of Britain with Tyson Fury – has lit a fire under Joshua.
He declared: “I know I can be better than that night.
“It’s easier to say than it is to do, but within my heart and soul, my brain and body, I truly feel I’ve got a lot more to give.
“I’m angry. It’s growing, but it’s fuelling me every day.”
SunSport understands Joshua’s shot at redemption and becoming a three-time heavyweight champion is being targeted for late March.
But the bruising Brit admits finalising the rematch has been far from smooth sailing.

He said: “When that fight happens. There’s been one hurdle then another.
“I can’t keep chasing what’s not in front of me.
“What’s in front of me is to become three-time heavyweight champion of the world, and that’s the motivation.”

Conor Benn will ‘one million percent’ be ringside for Khan vs Brook and eager to prove he’s Britain’s best welterweight

CONOR BENN will be front row when Amir Khan and Kell Brook clash to call out the winner to decide Britain’s best welterweight. The 25-year-old son of legend Nigel looks to continue his learning curve on December 11 when he faces respected American Chris Algieri, 37.

Benn can then enjoy Christmas and Valentines with his son Eli and wife Victoria, before taking a VIP seat at the Manchester arena to watch Khan and Brook settle a 17-year grudge on February 19.
The clash between Khan, 34, and Brook, 35, is expected to send one of the former world champions into retirement.
But 19-0 Benn is ready to puff up both their pension pots to snatch away the title of the UK’s best 10st 7lbs slugger.
Before another brutal session under Tony Sims, Benn told SunSport: “Both of them are talking like their fight is a warm-up for me so that’s fine.
“I will be ringside for their fight, one million per cent. I will fight the winner, no problem at all, bring on Khan or Brook, either of them.
“When I hear them and their promoter describe them both as Britain’s two best welterweights, I completely disagree.

“If anyone still thinks they are the two best welterweights we have to offer, or the winner of the fight is the No1, I would like to clear that up straight away.”
Khan became a national treasure when he won silver as a 17-year-old Olympian in 2004, before becoming a world champ and then starring in reality shows in the jungle and his own home.
While low-profile Brook produced one of the best away wins of any modern British fighter when he went to America to beat Shawn Porter for the IBF title in 2014.
Benn enjoyed those early years as a fan but both men have suffered heavy defeats and injuries in the tailend of their careers, so he will not stand for them talking him down and is ready to put friendships aside.
He added: “I never called out Brook before because I know him. But since he is dropping my name in, he can have it too.
“I watched them both growing up as a kid and even when I first turned pro I watched them both as a fan so I would love to fight the pair of them. It would be a massive domestic fight.
“I would fight either, if they offered me a choice I would toss a coin, I couldn’t care less.
“Brook got knocked by a jab against Terence Crawford and the other one has got bingoed in his last few fights, when he has not boxed blown-up featherweights like Billy Dib.”
Benn has become on of Britain’s most-exciting talents More

Anthony Joshua can resurrect career like Wladimir Klitschko did by moving training camp to US, says Ukrainian’s manager

ANTHONY JOSHUA can resurrect his career in the same way Wladimir Klitschko did by uprooting his training camp to America. That is the expert view of Klitschko’s former manager Bernd Bonte, who helped put the heavyweight and iconic coach Emanuel Steward together.

The Ukrainian looked down and out after defeats to Ross Puritty, Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster.
But under the guidance of Steward at the famous Kronk gym in Detroit, Steward led Klitschko to a nine-year reign in the blue ribband division.
And with AJ, who spent a summer holiday training Stateside, in need of some inspiration in the school of hard knocks, Bonte knows the impact a change of scenery can have.
He said, via Vegas Insider: “When I called Emanuel and set up a meeting between him and Wladimir, the rest is history as we both know.
“With Emanuel’s support and his different tactics and his very close relationship, Wladimir came back stronger than he had ever been before.
“And after that he was undefeated for almost ten years. AJ can do the same.”

Bonte watched ringside in 2017 as Joshua, 32, sent Klitschko, 45, into retirement following an 11-round thriller.
AJ had to get up the deck, bite down on his gumshield and at times physically beat his now-mentor to the floor.
But fast forward four years and against Klitschko’s countryman Oleksandr Usyk, 34, Joshua aired on the side of caution over 12 rounds.
It saw him outclassed and dethroned of the unified WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles.
To gain revenge and win back those belts, Bonte has urged AJ to get rough and tough, much like he did against Klitschko in that modern classic in front of 90,000.
With Emanuel’s support and his different tactics and his very close relationship, Wladimir came back stronger than he had ever been before. And after that he was undefeated for almost ten years. AJ can do the same.Wladimir Klitschko’s ex-manager Bernd Bonte
Bonte said: “AJ has to fight as the big dog, he has to.
“I mean he’s the bigger puncher, he’s taller, he’s 17 stone he has to fight like the big dog and put pressure on Usyk.
“It’s hard because the guy is a flexible, good counter boxer, but if AJ lets his jab go and throws more combinations and more right hands and puts more pressure on him, takes a higher risk, he has a good chance to win that fight.
“He got too reluctant and in the rematch he needs to go all in, it’s all or nothing. He has to take more risks.
“One thing for sure, if Usyk gets into his rhythm he’s hard to beat so what you have to avoid is that and what you have to be is on him, and to pressure him, and still it’s a very difficult fight.
“I think AJ wins that fight, the rematch. My gut feeling tells me that AJ comes back stronger and wins that fight. On points or a late knockout.”

‘That was not lucky shot’ – Watch Kambosos pull off exact same punch that dropped Lopez in amazing training footage

GEORGE KAMBOSOS JR proved the right hand he dropped Teofimo Lopez with was no hit and hope. Kambosos, 28, had Lopez, 23, down in round one of their lightweight world title fight in New York.
George Kambosos Jr’s revealed the right hand he dropped Teofimo Lopez with was no hit and hope

And he later went on to capture the WBA, IBF, WBO and WBC ‘Franchise’ belts with a heroic upset.
The early knockdown put the wheels in motion and Kambosos had it all mapped out before the fight.
A clip uploaded by BOXRAW revealed the Australian practising the overhand right which decked Lopez.
Kambosos later said: “I set him up beautifully. That was not a lucky shot. That was many months of setting that shot up. Working on that shot.”
The newly-crowned champion, who also got up off the deck in round ten, is set to stay Stateside and watch Devin Haney defend his WBC belt against JoJo Diaz.
Haney’s promoter Eddie Hearn wants to set up a massive undisputed title fight with Kambosos, if the American, 23, beats Diaz, 28.

Hearn told Boxing Social: “It was such a brilliant performance, so I think it’s disrespectful to say that George Kambosos is an easy touch.
“He just beat Teofimo, who beat Lomachenko. So George disserves respect and credit, and right now, he’s the man. I don’t mind saying it.
“Devin Haney is my man, but massive respect for George and his dad. But right now, George is the man; he has the standout victory in the division.
“And this win for Devin this Saturday will be another standout victory, and then the two must meet.”

Eddie Hearn slams Teofimo Lopez’s ‘delusional’ dad after he blames promoter for son’s shock defeat to George Kambosos Jr

EDDIE HEARN revealed he was blamed by Teofimo Lopez’s dad for his son’s shock defeat to George Kambosos Jr. Lopez, a Top Rank star who fights on ESPN, defended his unified lightweight titles on Hearn’s Marchroom Boxing bill, aired by DAZN.

But disaster struck as Kambosos scored a heroic upset on points to snatch the WBA, IBF, WBO and WBC ‘Franchise’ belts from the American.
Promoter Hearn was then accused by Lopez’s dad and trainer Teofimo Sr.
He told Boxing Social: “I feel for him, I know his dad seems to want to blame me for the fact that he lost.
“It sort of comes with the territory I guess, but he deserves a lot of credit because he showed a lot of heart as well.
“About a week ago it was the best thing he ever done coming to DAZN.
“All of a sudden he lost a decision that everybody thought he lost and it was my fault and DAZN’s fault.

“You can’t reason with someone like that. He called me a couple of times and he messaged me saying he can’t believe what I did.
“I said, ‘Listen, we treated you with unbelievable respect’. I love Teofimo, I love his dad, good people. But you have to move away from delusion.”
Hearn, who bid the second highest amount for the fight, only inherited the rights after social media platform Triller failed to find a date for it.
Lopez, 24, fighting in his home of New York, was later booed by his own fans as he interrupted Kambosos’ post-fight interview to insist that he won.
His dad then went one further to say it was a ‘robbery’, an ‘easy fight’ for his son and talked down a rematch, to instead move up to super-lightweight.
I love Teofimo, I love his dad, good people. But you have to move away from delusion.Eddie Hearn
Lopez Sr told SecondsOut: “I should’ve never fought with DAZN, I should’ve stood with Top Rank ‘cause those are the people that really love us.
“And You learn from your mistakes. So we go back with Top Rank and two PPV fights next year. Everybody knows what happened, okay.”
For Kambsos, 28, he is now eyeing an undisputed title fight with the full WBC title holder.
Devin Haney, 23, defends that strap against JoJo Diaz, 29, on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua given huge boost as promoter Bob Arum reveals Gypsy King will fight THREE times in 2022

TYSON FURY is being primed to fight three times next year in a massive boost to his British rivals. The Gypsy King has fought only twice in the last two years, both wins against Deontay Wilder.

Former heavyweight champion Anthony JoshuaCredit: Mark Robinson Matchroom Boxing
Most recently, he knocked Wilder, 36, out in round 11 in October to dramatically close out their trilogy series in style.
And his US promoter Bob Arum wants Fury to return in no later than four months’ time to kickstart a busy 12-month period.
Arum told talkSPORT: “What I would like to see, and this is what he would like to see, getting in the ring at the end of February or March and doing at least three fights in 2022.
“Hopefully that is how it will all roll out, Fury is ready to fight anybody.
“I really believe that he is the pre-eminent heavyweight in the world, there is nobody out there that he would be reluctant to fight.”
Fury, 33, admitted he is only interested in fighting Anthony Joshua, 32, or Oleksandr Usyk, 34.

FREE BETS: GET THE LATEST BETTING SIGN UP OFFERS AND FREE BETS
But the heavyweight pair are already lined up to rematch by April following Usyk’s upset over AJ in September.
The winner will then set their sights on WBC champion Fury and finally unifying the division once and for all.
For now though, the Gypsy King will need to look elsewhere and Dillian Whyte, 33, has emerged as the frontrunner to face him.
Arum said: “I think Dillian Whyte should be the next fight for Tyson Fury. We’ve got to push ahead and get a date and an opponent for Fury.
“And it seems to me that it is logical that it should be Dillian Whyte.”
Whyte is the WBC ‘interim’ champ and in turn the mandatory challenger for Fury’s belt.
But his legal case launched against the WBC has actually prevented him from being ordered to fight for the title.
It could leave Fury negotiating a defence against Whyte on a voluntary basis instead, opposed to being mandated.
