Jake Paul says Tommy Fury only fights because ‘his dad told him to’ and would rather be ‘an Abercrombie & Fitch model’

JAKE PAUL said Tommy Fury is only a fighter because ‘his dad told him to’ and would rather be ‘an Abercrombie & Fitch model’. Paul’s verbal warfare with Fury continued as they took part in a press conference ahead of their December 18 grudge match in Florida.

Tommy Fury fights Jake Paul on December 18
The American, who was in Tampa attending the media event, hit out at the 2019 Love Island star, who was present on Zoom alongside his brother Tyson.
Paul, 24, said: “This kid’s chin has never been tested. He’s only been put in with opponents that were meant to lose.
“I’ve never done that. All my fights were stepping into the unknown. For him, this is the first fight where the opponent isn’t just put in there to lose.
“On the biggest stage possible, in front of all these people, this young man will crack. He’s not battle-tested like me.
“He hasn’t lived the life that I have. He’s had a silver spoon in his mouth his whole entire life.
“He’s doing this because his brother does it. Because his dad told him to do it. This isn’t something he wants to do.
“If it was up to him, he’d be an Abercrombie & Fitch model.”

Paul beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, in his last fight and Fury, 22, won against his sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32, on the undercard.
The YouTuber previously stopped online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But he is entering his third pay-per-view main event and believes Fury’s inexperience on the big stage will be his downfall on fight night.
Paul said: “Tommy claims to have been doing this his whole life and he’s had this amateur career, and he’s been around it and that is true, but he hasn’t worked as hard as me.
“I see a green guy who hasn’t sparred enough times and who has only been put in there with opponents that were meant to lose.
“This is his first real test where his opponent just doesn’t flop over. You’re going to see that. You’re going to see a fighter who is a virgin, in my opinion.
“He has no idea what he’s getting himself into. This is his first time under the big lights and on the big stage, and he’s going to crack under the pressure.”

Anthony Joshua told to step aside to allow Tyson Fury to fight Oleksandr Usyk next in undisputed heavyweight title fight

ANTHONY JOSHUA has once again been told to step aside from a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk to allow Tyson Fury to fight for the undisputed title. Joshua was dethroned of the WBA, IBF and WBO belts by Usyk in September after falling victim to a 12 round masterclass.

But the defiant former two-time champion has already invoked his right to an immediate rematch next year.
It means any hope of Fury unifying his WBC title with Usyk have been shelved, much to the displeasure of the Gypsy King’s US promoter Bob Arum.
He told ESNEWS: “I think it would be maybe wise to not force a fight with Usyk right away and let Usyk fight Tyson Fury and the winner to fight Joshua and Joshua to have an interim fight in the meantime.
“That’s what I hope and that’s the sensible thing. Whether it works out that way or not is not dependent on me, it’s dependent on Joshua.
“F*** Eddie Hearn. He has nothing to say about it. All he does is spit his mouth.
“No, Joshua will make the decision for Joshua, and Joshua will make whatever decision he feels is correct.”

Fury, 33, is now expected to instead fight long-time rival Dillian Whyte, 33, the WBC mandatory challenger.
Meanwhile, Joshua, 32, will attempt to reclaim the throne he lost in the capital with a rematch against Usyk, 34, expected to take place before the end of April.
The winner of that fight could then proceed to an undisputed title decider against the victor between Fury and Whyte.
Joshua has been trialling new coaches in America to potentially add to his training team.
And he was even offered help from Fury and his cornerman Sugarhill Steward.

‘Doesn’t care’ – Oleksandr Usyk reacts to Anthony Joshua getting new trainer for rematch fight next year

OLEKSANDR USYK ‘doesn’t care’ that Anthony Joshua is looking for a new trainer ahead of their rematch. The Ukrainian left London with AJ’s unified heavyweight titles in September after a 12 round masterclass.

Joshua has since invoked his right to an immediate rematch, which looks set to take place before the end of April.
The British superstar has been spending time in America, looking to potentially add a trainer to his coaching team.
But the news has not affected the newly crowned champion, according to his promoter Alexander Krassyuk.
Asked on Instagram if Usyk, 34, had heard AJ was looking for a new trainer, Krassyuk replied: “He has. He’s said he doesn’t care.”
Joshua, 32, is trained by Rob McCracken, the man who led him to Olympic gold and two unified heavyweight title reigns.
But he appears open to the idea of strengthening his camp and visited Canelo Alvarez’s coach Eddy Reynoso, Virgil Hunter and Robert Garcia.

Mike Tyson’s former trainer Ronnie Shields was also another experienced cornerman Joshua was captured training with.
Tyson, 55, himself has even opened the door to taking Joshua under his wing.
He replied: “That’d be an honour. Not to fight, but to help each other – that’d be awesome.
“He has so much potential, he should not be depressed. Him and (Deontay) Wilder should not be depressed and give up on the world.”

“Jake, how are you feeling? And what’s gonna happen to Tommy Fury?”
His brother, whose impersonation attempt was nothing short of woeful, predicted an easy win.
The Problem Child, 24, replied: “Feeling good.
“I’m eating his a** in two rounds, I mean I’m beating his a** in two rounds.”
Logan, 26, added: “That’s right, he is.”

The video came as a direct response to a video posted by Tyson earlier in the day.
Filming his lunch and brother Tommy in ‘Camp Sparta’, the WBC heavyweight champ insisted his sibling would obliterate Paul Jr.
The 6ft 9ins giant said: “The Pauls are getting annihilated! Dossers!”
The younger Fury is finally set to fight rival Jake Paul on December 18, as both wannabes put their unbeaten records on the line.
Older brother Tyson, 33, is so confident in Tommy winning that he claimed he’d retire him and force him to change his surname if Paul came out on top.
Tommy is usually cornered by dad John Fury.
But due to a prior criminal conviction, his father is unable to travel Stateside.
This means WBC heavyweight champion Fury and his coach SugarHill Steward are leading Tommy’s training camp.

After beginning the camp, Tyson said: “Just finished my first day as a trainer. First morning session rather. Really happy with myself for the way things went.
“All the boys trained hard. How was it Tommy? How you feeling?”
The Love Islander, 22, responded: “The run this morning was good. Good leg work, feeling good, feeling fit.
“Trainer T is doing the best job.”
Fury then asked: ‘What’s happening to Jake Paul?”
To which Tommy replied: “You’re getting knocked spark out. Two rounds.”
The Gypsy King then remarked: “Jake Paul, we’re coming for you.”

It comes just weeks after Tyson battered Deontay Wilder in their trilogy scrap.
Andy Lee, who is part of Team Fury, shared a clip showing the Gypsy King working with his brother in the ring.
Tyson danced in front of the camera in his white boxers and a ‘WBC World Champion’ T-Shirt.
Earlier in the day the fighting siblings were spotted out in Morecambe after going for some breakfast.
While Tyson displayed little emotion, Tommy cracked a smile before the two boxers got into a black Range Rover.
They had earlier grabbed breakfast at Keegans coffee and sandwich shop.

Tyson was dressed in jeans and a ‘Gypsy King’ coat topped with a cap, while Tommy braved the cold with shorts and a thin jacket.
And the cafe appears to be a favourite spot for the brothers.
Tyson has previously shared clips on his Instagram Stories from inside the establishment while talking about how training Tommy is going.
The Sun exclusively revealed how Tyson took two fans out for a drinking session last week after they asked him for a selfie.
Stella Kabelis, 21, and Kailah Downie, 24, knocked back shots and danced with Tyson at a bar.
The 33-year-old fighter then went back to their Manchester flat while wife Paris was at home.
Fury eventually called it a night at around 11.30pm — more than eight hours after he met the girls.
The Morecambe mauler had a busy weekend too – he showed his support for dad John on his speaking tour in Blackpool.
Fury also did some filming for A League Of Their Own in Buzz Bingo in Morecambe, along with Jamie Redknapp and Freddie Flintoff.
And he managed to squeeze in date night with stunning wife Paris too.

Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury: From glam partners to flash watches, famous brothers and private jets… who comes out on top?

ON December 18, reputations will be on the line when Tommy Fury fights YouTuber Jake Paul in the States. The grudge match will take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, with both looking to settle their heated feud.

Future opponent Jake Paul loves sharing his swag on InstagramCredit: Instagram
In the past year, the pair have constantly called each other out – with the bad blood bringing in Love Island beauty Molly-Mae Hague, who was dissed by the American.
Outside the ring, Tommy, 22, and Jake, 24, have enjoyed celebrity status on TV and social media, as their stock and bank balances have risen.
    Here’s how the fighters compare.
    GIRLFRIENDS
Famously, Fury met Molly-Mae, 22, on the fifth series of Love Island in 2019.
They coupled up together and made it to the final, before finishing runners-up. However, the country soon fell in love with them.
Molly-Mae has since gone on to become a creative director for online clothing giants PrettyLittleThing, where she is said to have signed a £500,000 contract to produce her own line.
Model Julia Rose, 27, was first seen with ‘The Problem Child’ back in 2020.
The 5ft 10in stunner has since been seen ringside, most recently taking in Paul’s fight against Tyron Woodley.
Like Fury and Hague, Rose got famous through reality TV – appearing on MTV’s dating show Are You the One?
She also famously flashed her breasts on live TV during the 2019 MLB World Series.

    MUTUAL LOVE OF ROLLS-ROYCE
Paul has a fine collection of motors, including a  £165k Lamborghini Huracan and a custom-wrapped £81k Tesla.
But, it’s his love of British luxury car Rolls-Royce that he shares something in common with his fierce rival.
His custom Phantom would’ve set him back somewhere north of £360,000.
Tommy also posed with a Phantom, when he was in Las Vegas. But that doesn’t appear to be his motor.
Back in the summer, he did splash £120,000 on a new BMW i8 Hybrid supercar – just weeks after passing his driving test.
He followed that up by buying a £100,000 Mercedes S-Class.

    WATCH THIS
Both boxers love their bling, especially smart watches.
Fury has been seen wearing a fancy Rolex Yachtmaster II worth around £20,000.
However, at the end of October Tommy and Molly-Mae were robbed of belongings worth a reported £800,000 from their Manchester flat.
Last summer, Jake Paul trolled Conor McGregor with a special diamond necklace, said to have cost around £80,000, that featured an image of the UFC star knocked out on the canvas.
Paul loves jewellery, and is said to have a £1million collection.
The pick of the bunch is his 41mm Audemars Piguet worth £35,000.

    FAMOUS BROS
Another thing Fury and Paul share is famous brothers.
Tommy’s elder sibling is WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. The pair have a tight bond, with the younger Fury supporting his brother’s career and often seen ringside at his fights.
But Tyson has said he will “disown” Tommy, if he loses to Paul. He also joked he will have to change his name to ‘Fumbles’ as a forfeit.
Jake has a love/hate relationship with Logan Paul.
He has called Logan, who also pursued a career in boxing, a “fake fighter”.
Jake also revealed his brother slept with his ex-girlfriend Alyssa Violet.
Interestingly, Logan has called out Tyson for an MMA fight, claiming “the bigger they are, the harder they fall.”

    JET-SET LIFE
In early October, Jake trolled Tommy for taking a cheap connecting flight to Las Vegas.
He shared an image of Fury standing at the desk of budget Spirit Airlines and joked about his rival’s earning power.
“This is what happens when you turn down a $1m pay day,” Jake captioned a social media post sharing the photo.
Although, Tommy has been known to travel by private jet with Tyson.
Jake, who is said to be worth £13million, is often spotted taking private jets.
He has taken his mates to Ibiza and boxing events, galavanting around the globe.

    HARD GRAFT
When it comes to training, Fury and Paul do not mess around.
Paul had training camps in Big Bear California, Las Vegas and Miami for his first three fights, and moved to Puerto Rico ahead of the clash with Woodley to concentrate on his boxing.
He once shared an amazing image that would befit a world’s strongest man contest – pulling a fire engine.
A bit more old school, Fury opts for chains and heavy lifting when he’s bulking up and gets help from his older bro.
While his dad John Fury revealed: “He don’t lift weights. All this is press-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and road work.
“People think he’s a bodybuilder, he’s no bodybuilder.”

    DRESSING UP
The Halloween festivities allow for celebrities to dress up in frightful outfiits.
And Paul and Fury were no different, flooding their Instagram accounts with their scary costumes for the recent celebration of all things ghoulish.
Tommy and Molly-Mae stayed close to his sport – with the former as a bloodied boxer, while the social media influencer went as a ring girl, also splattered in fake blood.
Jake hilariously aimed a dig at Dana White with his costume – dressed as the UFC chief holding a bag of ‘(UFC) Unlimited Free Cocaine’.

While his missus Julia was in a glam leopard print dress.
The look was inspired by a forum post that read: “News – Brazilian Stripper Taped Dana White Banging her, Boyfriend…”
