‘He’s not hearing that eighth bell ring’ – Jake Paul makes Tommy Fury fight prediction and says rival is ‘going to fade’

JAKE PAUL predicted Tommy Fury will ‘fade’ in their fight and claimed: ‘He’s not hearing that eighth bell ring’. The celebrity fighting rivals have signed and confirmed their December 18 grudge match in Florida, over eight rounds.

Paul beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley over the same distance in August, the night Fury won against his sparring partner Anthony Taylor in a four-rounder.
But the 2019 Love Island star has never been past that four round distance in his seven fights.
Paul said: “I will TKO him in the later rounds. He hasn’t had a fight past four rounds so I think he’ll be gassed.
“I think this will be the first time he’s getting punched in the face by someone who can actually hit and is the same weight as him.
“He’s always fought smaller guys with losing records. So I think he’s going to fade. I know he’s going to fade.
“It’s just what round? Fifth? Sixth? Seventh? Maybe I knock him out in the last ten seconds of the eighth.

“But he’s not hearing that eighth bell ring. I’ve got $500,000 on the line, and when he loses, he has to change his name to Tommy Fumbles.
“He accepted it, so we’ll see what happens.”
Fury, 22, is more experienced at 7-0, but Paul, 24, is entering his third consecutive pay-per-view headliner.
Before beating Woodley, 39, he knocked out YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
And despite Fury being scheduled as his first opponent with prior professional boxing experience, Paul takes confidence from his most recent win.

He said: “It was my first real test that I passed. A UFC Champion who dominated the UFC with his big overhand right.
“He hit me with a shot in the fourth round that was nothing. I ate it very easily and kept moving.
“I found a way to win and passed my first test in my fourth professional fight.
“Nobody from Muhammad Ali to Mike Tyson to Floyd Mayweather was testing themselves as much as I was in my fourth fight.
“I learned a lot about myself and what I’m capable of and performing under pressure.
“I look forward to bringing that experience to my next fight.”

Gennady Golovkin and Ryota Murata confirm middleweight unification in Japan on December 29… in rare WEDNESDAY fight

GENNADY GOLOVKIN and Ryota Murata have confirmed their middleweight unification bout in Japan… in a rare WEDNESDAY fight night.Golovkin will put his IBF title on the line against Murata’s WBA version on December 29 in Saitama.

Japan has a long history of New Year’s Eve events in martial arts, stretching back to the early 2000s.
But Golovkin’s trip to the Far East will conclude two days shy of the landmark date on the fight calendar.
He travels to Murata’s hometown for a midweek, Wednesday main-event, a rarity in boxing.
GGG won the IBF title vacated by former rival Canelo Alvarez, 31, in October 2019 in a razor-thin points victory over Sergiy Derevyanchenko, 36.
He defended it against Kamil Szeremeta, 32, in his last fight in December 2020, but has not returned since.
Golovkin, 39, said: “I am really excited to be bringing the Big Drama Show to Japan, a country where boxing is very popular.

“Ryota Murata has been an outstanding champion.  It is going to be a special night when we meet in the ring to unify our titles.
“We are going to give the fans a great fight.”
Murata, 35, has a 16–2 record and has been beaten only by Hassan N’Dam, 37, and Rob Brant, 31, but won both rematches.
He was the WBA’s ‘Regular’ champion and was later elevated to their full title with Canelo now campaigning at super-middleweight.
Golovkin was unfortunate not to walk away with a 2017 win against Alvarez, after they drew, and contentiously lost the rematch a year later.
Murata considers the controversial results a write off, as he set his sights on dethroning Kazakhstan’s middleweight king.
I am really excited to be bringing the Big Drama Show to Japan. Gennady Golovkin
He said: “I feel that my entire amateur and professional boxing career has been a preparation for this fight against Gennady Golovkin.
“This fight will determine my place in the middleweight division and boxing history.
“Gennady Golovkin has long been the standard-bearer of the middleweight division. To me, he is still undefeated. I have the highest respect for him.
“It has been almost two years since my last fight, because of the pandemic, but I have put that time to good use, working very hard with my trainers on improving my physical conditioning and adding more power to my punches.
“I am so proud Japan is hosting this fight.  It is a great honour for me.”

KSI predicts Tommy Fury will ‘s*** himself on the big stage’ and backs YouTube rival Jake Paul to beat Love Island star

It has captured the attention of the YouTube and reality TV scene and was discussed by British social media star KSI and his ‘Sidemen’ group.
He said: “Yeah, I see Tommy losing, you know why? I see him s***ing himself on the big stage.”
Fury, 22, comes into the fight more experienced at 7-0, but Paul, 24, is now entering his third consecutive pay-per-view headliner.
He has wins over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But his last win was over eight rounds against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, in a homecoming Cleveland fight.
Fury will be his first opponent of prior professional boxing experience and even his dad and trainer John raised the question of dealing with the big moment.

He said to BT Sport: “It’s make or break, for both men, but it’ll hit Tommy harder because Tommy’s supposed to be a professional boxer.
“Tommy will work hard, he’ll do what he’s gotta do. Has Tommy got the skill to beat him? Yes. Has he got the power to knock him out? Yes.
“All it is with Tommy – he’s young, can he handle the big occasion on the night?”
KSI, 28, beat Paul’s brother Logan, 26, in their rematch a year after they drew in a 2018 exhibition.
And he agreed Fury, who featured on the 2019 series of Love Island, has all the tools to win, but has to hold his nerve.
KSI said: “I think that’s it, he knows you’ve got everything, you’re ready, you could f*** him up, but will you be able to act on the night? And he’s just not sure.”

One recent one saw her dressed in a blue thong bikini, with the caption: “Wrestled today, didn’t take a picture.
“Here’s some pics of me looking like a h** instead. Yolo.”
VanZant, 27, left the UFC in 2020 and signed a shock deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
But in her first two brutal fights without gloves on, she was beaten, first to Britain Hart then in a rematch against old UFC rival Rachael Ostovich.
It has left her bare-knuckle boxing future in question, with rumours circling of a switch back to MMA.
VanZant has also featured on pro wrestling promotion AEW lately, alongside her American Top Team training partners and gym owner Dan Lambert.

But the American still has one fight left on her BKFC deal and will return to honour it in early 2022.
Promoter Dave Feldman told BJPenn.com: “We are in talks with Paige and we will be bringing her back in early 2022.
“It is heartbreaking for her to lose her first two fights, but she is putting her heart back into this thing.
“We will work out a deal in the next week or so, and you will see Paige VanZant back in the BKFC ring.”
