FLOYD MAYWEATHER revealed he owns NINE skyscrapers including ‘the tallest commercial building in the US’ as he looks to build his wealth. The boxing legend, who officially retired 50-0 in 2017, has claimed to have made $1billion throughout his prizefighting career.

And in an interview with the WBC, when he attended their annual convention in Mexico, Mayweather admitted he does not miss competing.
And instead, he is focussing his efforts on adding to his property portfolio.
Mayweather, 44, said: “I’m OK. Floyd Mayweather made a lot of smart investments.
“One of the buildings I own is the tallest commercial building in America. So if you get a chance go to New York and check it out.
“This is my ninth sky scraper.”
The building Mayweather is referencing is the One Vanderbilt, a 93-story skyscraper in the Midtown Manhattan neighbourhood of New York City.

Mayweather has stakes in the building, which opened in 2020 after three years of construction.
After beating UFC star Conor McGregor, 33, the American icon hung up the gloves, but not for good.
He has since returned for two exhibition bouts, the first against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 23, which he won in a round.
But this June, Mayweather faced YouTuber Logan Paul, 26, in an extraordinary spectacle bout, giving away TWO STONE in size.
Paul managed to take it the full eight round distance, technically avoiding defeat.
But Mayweather boasted before and after about walking away from the 24-minute ring cameo $100m (£74m) richer.
Despite having no desire to continue professional boxing, the unbeaten great will never lose the passion for making money.

Floyd Mayweather hops on his private plane
His right hand man Leonord Ellerbe told Insider last year that Mayweather’s ‘goal’ was to match the $1bn (£743m) he made in the ring, outside the ring.
As revealed by SunSport, the retired boxer’s businesses include a strip club, fashion line, real estate and music label.
He also has homes in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, including a £19m mansion in Beverly Hills.
Mayweather’s lifestyle also includes car collections of over £20m, a private plane and several watches, with one costing £16m alone.

‘I will beat him’ – Jake Paul says fight with UFC star Conor McGregor could ‘one hundred percent’ happen in two years

JAKE PAUL believes he will ‘one hundred percent’ fight Conor McGregor within two years time. The YouTube sensation has long called to face McGregor and even had a $50million offer on the table in 2020.

Despite that, McGregor has appeared uninterested in the lucrative boxing bout and has barley even acknowledged Paul, who is 4-0 as a boxer.
But the social media influencer is adamant they will one day share the ring, as he continues to gain more experience and respect in the sport.
Paul told Bleacher Report: “I will fight everybody. This started with me calling out McGregor.
“And people were like ‘this kids crazy, Conor will kill him’. But now this fight could happen within the next 24 months one hundred percent.
“I will beat him, people are seeing how serious I am being about this and are changing the way they think about it.”
Paul’s first two wins were against online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ and then ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37.

But then he set his sights on rivalling the UFC, as he knocked out retired welterweight Ben Askren, 37, in April.
And he returned in August to beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, over eight rounds.
Attempts to prize McGregor, 33, beaten by Floyd Mayweather, 44, on his boxing debut in 2017, have proven unsuccessful.
Instead, Paul fights Tommy Fury, 22, the brother to heavyweight champion Tyson, on December 18 in Florida.
And he claimed the Gypsy King is just one of several boxing icons to have supported his polarising splash in the sport.
Paul said: “I’m the best thing that’s happened to boxing in a century – period.
“The legends would agree – the Anthony Joshuas, the Mike Tysons, the Manny Pacquiaos, the Tyson Furys.
“They’ve all said what I’m doing for boxing is a breath of fresh air. “I think that debate started about a year ago – is Jake Paul good for boxing?
“I have silenced that, and I don’t think there’s anybody on the other side of the equation who thinks I’m bad for boxing.”

Floyd Mayweather, 44, rejects comeback fight against Julio Cesar Chavez, 59, after appearing to shake hands on bout

FLOYD MAYWEATHER confirmed he will not return for an exhibition fight against Julio Cesar Chavez – despite appearing to shake hands on it. The legendary boxers were both in attendance at the WBC convention where the governing bodies’ president announced the agreement.

Mauricio Sulaiman said: “At the same time, they turned to each other and they said, ‘Let’s do an exhibition’. Chavez and Floyd.
“And they are here to announce they will be doing an exhibition next year either in Mexico or Texas where many Mexicans will be.”
The pair then shook hands, but a day later, Mayweather talked down the bout despite Chavez’s best efforts.
He told reporters: “He kept talking about how he wanted to do an exhibition, I said, ‘I can use one hand if you want me to?’
“He was trash talking. But I wouldn’t do that, I wouldn’t want to do that, because that would tarnish his legacy as well as my legacy.”
Chavez, who officially retired in 2005, twice beat Mayweather’s uncle and former trainer Roger.

The Mexican icon, 59, has fought in multiple different charitable exhibitions since retiring, most recently Hector Camacho Jr, 43, in June.
Similarly, Mayweather, 44, hung them up as a professional in 2017, after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 33, in ten rounds.
But a year later, he returned for an exhibition against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 23, which he won in a round.
Then, in June he boxed YouTuber Logan Paul, 26, in an extraordinary eight-round spectacle bout.
Mayweather gave away TWO STONE and was taken the distance, meaning no winner was declared.
Since then, the 50-0 unbeaten American has appeared happy on the sidelines, away from the ring.

‘This ain’t no regular motherf***er’ – Snoop Dogg predicts Mike Tyson will KO Logan Paul in second round of their fight

SNOOP DOGG reckons Mike Tyson will dispose of Logan Paul in just two rounds if their proposed mega-bucks fight goes ahead.YouTube sensation Paul revealed last week that he was in talks with Tyson over a fight that he hopes will silence those who think the boxing legend would destroy him.

But according to Snoop, Paul’s wasting his time.
The social-media sensation did go the eight-round distance with Floyd Mayweather in June, but the rapper believes once Tyson’s old instincts kick in, it will be night-night for the 26-year-old.
Snoop told Joe Rogan: “C’mon Joe, quit playing with me, man. It’s Mike Tyson we talking about.
“This is not a regular mother. It may trigger his old instincts. That mother is still in there! I predict a second-round KO for Tyson.”
And a Tyson victory could signal trouble for Logan’s brother Jake, as the former world champ may want to take him on next.
Snoop, who gained plaudits for his commentary during Jake’s fight with Nate Robinson on Tyson’s undercard versus Roy Jones, added: “Well, see, when he whoops Logan, it’s all a domino effect” [Like] ‘Now go get your little brother!'”
Rogan shares the same view as Snoop about the Logan vs Tyson bout and is in disbelief that the older Paul sibling is even considering it.

He said: “The fact that Logan Paul wants to box him, it’s like wow.
“I can’t believe they’re really going to do that. That kid’s going to get hit for sure.”
If the latest clips of Tyson are anything to go by, Snoop and Rogan may have a point.
The 55-year-old was captured in his pants showing off his blistering speed and incredible punching power a few days ago, leaving Logan with a lot of training to do before they potentially meet up in February.

Dillian Whyte FAILS to get Tyson Fury world title fight sanctioned by WBC in another big blow to mandatory challenger

THE WBC have sensationally FAILED to grant Dillian Whyte a long overdue world title shot against Tyson Fury. With Anthony Joshua having to rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, it seemed Fury would next have to defend his title against Whyte.

Tyson Fury has not yet been mandated to fight fellow Brit WhyteCredit: Reuters
But SunSport understands that the WBC have FAILED to pass a resolution finally giving the Londoner his big chance.
It could now be ‘months’ before the mandatory challenger for Fury’s belt is ratified – and the Gypsy King is desperate for a fight early next year having only had one in 21 months.
The WBC held a convention in Mexico to discuss all things boxing – and the next big heavyweight scrap was hot on the agenda.
Whyte, who spent over 1,000 days as mandatory challenger when Deontay Wilder had the belt, reclaimed that position after avenging a shock KO loss to Alexander Povetkin.
But it appears there are yet MORE hurdles for the Bodysnatcher to jump over.
Whyte is currently involved in an ongoing legal case against the WBC, with the Brit fuming that he continues to be overlooked.

And now the body, headed up by Mauricio Sulaiman, have decided to let an independent arbitrator look into the mandatory position.
Boxing fans were left fuming after the Battle of Britain between Fury and Joshua for ‘all the belts’ fell by the wayside thanks to Usyk’s shock win.
The Ukrainian came over to London to easily outpoint AJ and snatch the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight straps.
The two will now rematch in March – leaving Fury looking elsewhere for his next opponent.
It was widely believed that would be Whyte – with the 33-year-old Londoner back in the mandatory slot after his impressive KO revenge win against Povetkin – in March or April next year.
However it seems years of vocal criticism of the WBC has thrown a spanner in Whyte’s hopes for that world title chance.

Whyte has previously revealed that he believes Fury could swerve him and hang up his gloves.
The Brixton brawler said: “The Tyson Fury fight is a fight that I wanted, it’s a fight I tried to get before.
“[It was] Mandated for belts and it didn’t happen. And fortunately for me now, it seems like it’s gonna go ahead.
“But you can never bank on anything Tyson Fury says.
“Because he might say, ‘You know what I’ve had enough I don’t want to fight anymore.’ Or he might say, ‘I need a longer rest.’
“He’s had three hard fights with Deontay Wilder. We don’t know how much they have taken out of him.
“So we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Canelo Alvarez gets green light from WBC to move up to CRUISERWEIGHT and fight champ Ilunga Makabu for FIFTH title

CANELO ALVAREZ has been given the green light from the WBC to challenge CRUISERWEIGHT champion Ilunga Makabu. The announcement was made at the governing bodies’ convention in Mexico, and will pave the way for Canelo to try and become a FIVE-weight champion.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said: “We just approved the challenge between Canelo Alvarez and Junior Makabu in cruiserweight.”
Canelo, 31, has won belts from light-middleweight all the way to light-heavyweight.
His heaviest career victory was for the WBO 175lb title which he won after knocking out Sergey Kovalev, 39, in November 2019.
But Canelo soon moved back down to super-middleweight, where he has since settled.
And the Mexican superstar became undisputed champion in just 11 months and four fights.
Wins over Callum Smith, 31, Avni Yildirim, 30, Billy Joe Saunders, 32, and most recently Caleb Plant, 29, saw him win and retain the belts.

Talk has quickly turned to what could be next for Canelo, who is currently a free agent.
His trainer and manager Eddy Reynoso named Artur Beterbiev, 36, Dmitry Bivol, 30, Jermall Charlo, 31, and David Benavidez, 24, as potential options.
But moving as high as the 14st 4lb cruiserweight, which is over TWO STONE more than Canelo’s usual fighting weight, has emerged as a new avenue.
Makabu, 34, is 28–2 and can be remembered by British fans for his 2016 knockout loss to Tony Bellew, 38, in Everton.
But only last year the Congolese boxer won the WBC belt with a win over pole Michal Cieslak, 32.
Canelo has been known to spar heavyweights in the gym and according to his coach, requested the move up to cruiserweight.
Reynoso said, via ESPN Deportes: “What he has done with the heavyweights he spars with, and that is why we asked for the fight.
We just approved the challenge between Canelo Alvarez and Junior Makabu in cruiserweight.WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman
“We know that [Makabu] is strong, but Canelo can beat him.
“Many may say that it is crazy, but they also said that it was crazy when Canelo was junior middleweight champion and we were looking for middleweights, super middleweight, light heavyweights.
“I have a lot of confidence in Canelo. He is very strong and has many qualities, and I know that he is going to win that fight.”
Canelo would join the likes of Floyd Mayweather, 44, Manny Pacquiao, 42, Sugar Ray Leonard, 65 and Oscar De La Hoya, 48, to have won titles in five divisions or more.
Roy Jones Jr, like Canelo, reigned as middleweight champion and in 2003 moved up to heavyweight and beat John Ruiz, now 49, for the WBA title.
The American, now 55, became the first man since England’s Bob Fitzsimmons in 1897 to go from middleweight to heavyweight titles.
But he never won a cruiserweight world title, and his career declined after moving down from heavyweight back to light-heavyweight.
Eddie Hearn says Canelo’s next fight could be at light-heavyweight vs Dmitry Bivol or an epic Gennady Golovkin trilogy More
