Floyd Mayweather runs two miles in under 12 minutes after boxing legend talked down exhibition comeback fight

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is keeping fit in retirement as he ran two miles in under 12 minutes – but still has no desire to make a boxing return. The American legend posted a video on Instagram running on a treadmill, where he showed off his impressive speed.

But Mayweather recently admitted in an interview with the WBC that he does not miss fighting.
He said: “I’m OK. Floyd Mayweather made a lot of smart investments.
“One of the buildings I own is the tallest commercial building in America. So if you get a chance go to New York and check it out. This is my ninth sky scraper.”
The building Mayweather is referencing is the One Vanderbilt, a 93-story skyscraper in the Midtown Manhattan neighbourhood of New York City.
Mayweather has stakes in the building, which opened in 2020 after three years of construction.
After beating UFC star Conor McGregor, 33, the unbeaten icon hung up the gloves, but not for good.

He has since returned for two exhibition bouts, the first against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 23, which he won in a round.
But this June, Mayweather faced YouTuber Logan Paul, 26, in an extraordinary spectacle bout, giving away TWO STONE in size.
Paul managed to take it the full eight round distance, technically avoiding defeat.
Mayweather has since talked down another return, despite Julio Cesar Chavez’s best efforts.
The legendary boxers were both in attendance at the WBC convention where it was announced they agreed to an exhibition.
Floyd Mayweather’s 15 world champions beaten consecutively
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said: “At the same time, they turned to each other and they said, ‘Let’s do an exhibition’. Chavez and Floyd.
“And they are here to announce they will be doing an exhibition next year either in Mexico or Texas where many Mexicans will be.”
The pair then shook hands, but a day later, Mayweather snubbed interest in the bout despite fighting talk from 59-year-old Chavez.
Mayweather, 44, told reporters: “He kept talking about how he wanted to do an exhibition, I said, ‘I can use one hand if you want me to?’
“He was trash talking. But I wouldn’t do that, I wouldn’t want to do that, because that would tarnish his legacy as well as my legacy.”

And now he will finally get his chance, with SunSport recently revealing how the pair will clash in a December bout after a breakthrough in negotiations.
The fight was confirmed on Friday, October 29 by promotor Frank Warren.
Paul last fought in August, beating Tyron Woodley by split decision, while Fury outpointed MMA fighter Anthony Taylor on the undercard.
Paul vs Fury will represent the former’s first dalliance with a fully-fledged pro boxer in his short career so far.
And although Fury has predominantly fought boxers throughout his career, many regard Paul to be one of his toughest tests yet.

    When is Paul vs Fury?

Jake Paul will fight Tommy Fury on Saturday, December 18.
The fight will take place at the Amelie Arena in Tampa.
The event should pull in thousands of spectators, with the arena having a capacity of 21,000.
With the fight being held in the USA, expect it to take place in the early hours of Sunday morning in the UK.

What TV channel is it on and can I live stream?

Paul vs Fury will be shown live on BT Sport Box Office.
BT Sport Box Office broadcasted Paul vs Woodley in August and they have an afinity with Fury through his promotional contract with Frank Warren.
You can live stream events on BT Sport Box Office from the app, which is available for download onto your mobile or tablet device.
Paul vs Woodley cost £16.95, but it’s likely Paul vs Fury could set you back around £19.95.
Check back to SunSport for confirmed PPV info.

    Paul vs Fury FULL CARD
As yet, the full undercard for fight night has not been confirmed.
But one fight between former NBA and NFL stars Deron Williams and Frank Gore has been announced.
The pair will clash in a four-round heavyweight bout.

    What has been said?
Jake Paul: “It’s finally official. Timothy had no choice but to sign the contract so he could finally pay his bar tabs, afford a shirt for the club, and stop living off Molly.
“December 18 in Tampa Bay I’m changing this w***er’s name to Tommy Fumbles and celebrating with Tom Brady.
“Pucker up Timmy… it’s time to kiss your last name and your family’s boxing legacy goodbye.”
Tommy Fury: “This is an easy fight for me. A real easy fight. I’ve been doing this job since I was 7.
“He’s not a boxer. He’s gonna see that when we fight.
“I will end his boxing career. There’s no more Jake Paul after we fight. That’s it.” More

“The fans are going to be the winners in this fight, because we’re both coming in prepared to be at our best. I’m ready to put on a great show.
“It’s going to be fireworks for sure. It’s going to be something you can’t miss. Don’t go get your popcorn or anything like that during this fight. This is another tough task, but this is what I’m made for.”
But Cruz believes he has the beating of Davis.
“I’m ready to put on a show,” he said. “There were a wide array of feelings when I knew I got this fight, but most of all, it made me really motivated to be ready for this opportunity.
“We are not overconfident in any way, but Gervonta has not fought anyone with my style and with my characteristics.
“We’re working really hard to make sure my style will work the best that it can.” More

Mike Tyson ‘had sex with groupies just before fighting’ as he was ‘so afraid he would KILL opponent’ with raging energy

MIKE TYSON was so scared of killing opponents he would need to have sex with groupies moments before fights to take ‘the edge’ off his rage. Tyson was fuelled with so much pumping emotional energy that he would also cry before heading into the ring to eviscerate opponents.

That is the insight from one of his closest friends, recalling Tyson’s mindset and talent on the 35th anniversary of becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in history.
Tyson’s confidante, ex bodyguard and chauffeur Rudy Gonzalez revealed that his ‘dark side’ along with the New Yorker’s raw talent and elite training from boxing legend Cus D’Amato made him unstoppable in the mid 80s.
Gonzalez watched the then 20-year-old channel rage, grief and an inner psychological torment to destroy Trevor Berbick in round two to make history in the title fight on November 22, 1986.
Gonzalex said: “One of the greatest secrets with Mike was that he needed to have sex in the dressing room before fights.
“I would have to find a groupie, it did not matter who it was. He’d say ‘if I do not get laid I will kill this guy right now.’
“Mike had to get laid to disengage some of the strength he had. So I had girls tucked away in bathrooms and changing rooms.
“Sometimes he’d go in with them for a minute, bang the s*** out of them, snap his neck and say: ‘Okay this guy is going to live tonight.’
“His biggest fear was that he would kill someone in that ring. He knew he could do it.

His biggest fear was that he would kill someone in that ring. He knew he could do it. Rudy Gonzalez
“I still see some of the guys he fought. I was there at ringside seeing these huge men crying, bones shattering or their blood flying everywhere.
“It is no exaggeration to say Mike was like a train hitting these guys. Having sex was his way of disengaging that power and loosening up a bit.”
Gonzalez, whose book about his Tyson experiences – The Inner Ring – is being developed into an animated movie, added: “Someone once asked me why does Mike need four armed bodyguards, and I said ‘We are not here to protect him, We are here to protect him from you.'”
Gonzalez was at Tyson’s side from the mid 80s seeing his rise through the amateur ranks unbeaten in 27 fights and with a record 12–0 in 1986 alone.
Legendary trainer Cus D’Amato, who became Tyson’s legal guardian after serving time in juvenile prison, guided the teen criminal from a street fighting hoodlum into a polished power punching boxing phenom.

However a year before the history making Berbick showdown, D’Amato passed away.
Gonzalez said: “Mike used to break down in tears before fights. He had an anxiety problem where he would be in despair with anxiety of not feeling good enough or not wanting to screw it up.
“He never recovered the loss of Cus, because he found someone special who had faith in him and saved from the depths of hell.
“He used everyone one of those emotions for as long as he could – and that is why he walked into the ring with all that and beat the s*** out of Berbick.”
Veteran manager D’Amato trained Tyson during the day, pushed him to be build his fitness and made him study boxing history at his mansion’s attic in Catskill, New York.
“It was a love story. Mike had the fear that if he screwed this up would end up back in his old neighbourhood or be locked up.
“Cus was the only man he trusted. He would yell at him, and Mike would respectfully bow his head and and say ‘yes sir – no sir.’
“And he gave Cus a reason to wake up every morning – honestly Mike made him feel like he’d live for a thousand years.”

Juvenile criminal Tyson grew up with a mother tormented by addiction issues in rundown apartment in Brownsville.
While serving time at Tryon School for Boys, a now-shuttered juvenile facility, ex boxer and guard Bobby Stewart, channeled his energy into boxing and then introduced Tyson to D’Amato.
Tyson’s ‘first real experience of home and family’ came as D’Amato and wife Camille Ewald moved him into their 14 bedroom mansion.
“Mike felt having keys to a house was a huge deal, because he’d never that security before.
“Camille would cook for him and we’d all eat together, it was the first time he had a sense of normalcy. We took it for granted, but how he grew up his family was his worst enemy.
“He always said I cannot believe white people like me. He’d been built one way before this – rob chains, get beat up, live in the worse humane conditions and start again.
“For the first time he experienced love from Cus and Camille. It was an unforgettable experience to see him break out of that shell.”
After D’Amato died, Tyson often returned to his old home even though he’d moved out.

“We’d go back to the house where Mike would sit in Cus’ chair and transform into him. He liked to sleep in the attic of that home. He held on that love for as long as he could,” Gonzalez said.
“Years after Cus died, he asked me to drive to the house and parked in the driveway. He would stay in the back and cry for hours.”
Gonzalez has made headlines in the past with a book about his time with Tyson as he witnessed his fall from reigning champion to a convicted rapist.
Rudy levelled a raft of allegations against Don King, who became Tyson’s top aide and promoter.
He raised questions about how Tyson ended up being given a six-year prison sentence for raping beauty-pageant contestant Desiree Washington in Indianapolis in 2004.
He watched Tyson break down learning that his entire fortune was lost after signing over much to companies he never owned – given that he could not read properly.
Gonzalez claims King ‘psychologically broke him,’ adding: “Mike’s story would have had a different ending if Cus had lived longer. His sister Denise always made me promise to keep Mike away from Don, calling him a clown.”
He claimed that he witnessed ‘deceit, betrayal, and fraud perpetrated’ upon Tyson.

Watch as Tony Bellew KNOCKS OUT next Canelo Alvarez opponent Ilunga Makabu in Goodison Park world title fight

CANELO ALVAREZ’S potential next opponent Ilunga Makabu is a familiar face among British boxing fans. After the news the WBC green lit Canelo’s request to jump to CRUISERWEIGHT, several would have been quickly googling Makabu’s name.

But others would have recognised him from the 2016 world title fight he had with Bellew, at the Evertonian’s beloved Goodison Park.
It was his coronation night and capped off three chaotic rounds of explosive action.
Bellew, now 38, was down in the first round following a left hand, which was so hard the Brit did a backwards roll.
But Makabu, 34, was brutally knocked out on the ropes half way through round three after a devastating left hook.
It did prove to be the cruiserweight’s last career loss, winning nine since, beating Pole Michal Cieslak, 32, for the vacant WBC belt in January 2020.
Canelo, 31, meanwhile has won belts from light-middleweight all the way to light-heavyweight.

His heaviest career victory was for the WBO 175lb title which he won after knocking out Sergey Kovalev, 39, in November 2019.
But Canelo soon moved back down to super-middleweight, where he has since settled.
And the Mexican superstar became undisputed champion in just 11 months and four fights.
Wins over Callum Smith, 31, Avni Yildirim, 30, Billy Joe Saunders, 32, and most recently Caleb Plant, 29, saw him win and retain the belts.
Talk has quickly turned to what could be next for Canelo, who is currently a free agent.
His trainer and manager Eddy Reynoso named Artur Beterbiev, 36, Dmitry Bivol, 30, Jermall Charlo, 31, and David Benavidez, 24, as potential options.
I was speaking to Tony Bellew – who could be looking real good in a few months if this happens – and he said that Makabu is a huge puncher, huge puncher, and very strong.Eddie Hearn
But moving as high as the 14st 4lb cruiserweight, which is over TWO STONE more than Canelo’s usual fighting weight, has emerged as a new avenue.
And promoter Eddie Hearn revealed Bellew has personally warned him of the power Makabu possesses.
Hearn told iFL TV: “I think it’s a dangerous fight.
“I was speaking to Tony Bellew – who could be looking real good in a few months if this happens – and he said that Makabu is a huge puncher, huge puncher, and very strong.”
Hearn added: “I like the fight against Makabu. I think it’s a dangerous fight, I think it’s an exciting fight and as I said, Saul and Eddy are interested in making history.
“They’re not interested in having normal, boring fights. Every fight has to mean something.”

Lee McGregor vs Narek Abgaryan (12 rounds – bantamweight)
    #Zelfa Barrett vs Bruno Tarimo (10 rounds – super-featherweight)

    What have they said?
“I’m half excited and half not. I’m happy for the fight but might be disappointed what comes with the fight,” Chisora said.
“I’m going to speak to my management company. We need an American referee and get good judges for this fight because so many times I’ve been robbed.
“It’s one of those things but it gets a bit frustrating. Joseph Parker does not scare me. He doesn’t have anything I’m scared of. He hasn’t got power punches, I don’t even know how they gave him the last fight.”
Parker added: “I’ve watched the fight back and I thought I won, he thought he won, that’s why we’re doing it again,” said Parker, whose two defeats from 31 fights have come against Britons Joshua and Dillian Whyte.
“Derek is a tough guy – he comes forward, puts you under pressure, bites down on his gumshield and throws the kitchen sink at it.
“It’s my goal to be a two-time world heavyweight champion and I’m well placed in the rankings so you have to take the opportunities when they come.” More

Jake Paul says Canelo Alvarez fight ‘will definitely happen’ as he denies ‘highly illegal’ allegations of rigging wins

JAKE PAUL said a fight with Canelo Alvarez ‘will definitely happen’ as he denied the ‘highly illegal’ allegations of rigging his wins. The YouTube sensation is 4-0 as a boxer and this year set his sights on facing boxing’s pound-for-pound No1 in just three years.

Even more surprisingly, when asked about the proposal before beating Caleb Plant, Canelo did not close the door on fighting Paul.
Paul is confident that, despite the infancy of his boxing career, remaining unbeaten will lead him to Alvarez.
Social media sensation, 24, told Bleacher Report: “I mean that’s something that’s never been in conversation but again, all I gotta do is win, which I will and that’s why I dedicate myself to doing every single day is winning.
“And the Jake Paul fight against Canelo will definitely happen.”
Paul’s first two wins came against online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ and a brutal knockout over ex-NBA star Nate Robinson.
He then KO’d retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren and then ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

But Paul, who now fights Tommy Fury on December 18 in Florida, was hit with match fixing allegations in both – claims he ferociously denies.
MMA fighter Dillon Danis, commonly recognised as Conor McGregor’s training partner, has long feuded the American celebrity.
And Danis alleged Woodley had a clause in his contract which banned him from knocking Paul out.
His manager Malki Kawa was quick to shut this down, as he tweeted:  “There is absolutely no clause that would prohibit knockouts.”
And Paul further addressed the accusations – and revealed he takes it ‘as a compliment’ to his skills.
I look at it as a compliment because people just don’t want to believe my ability and I’ve knocked mostly everyone out in the first round.Jake Paul on allegations of rigging his fights
He said: “Yeah, I mean first of all that’s illegal, like highly illegal.
“Because you involve like gambling and oddsmakers and people betting on the fights and so I would be in jail if I was manipulating that much money.
“Because it’s illegal, first and foremost. So if there was actually something in my contracts that were like, ‘Oh, you have to do this or that’, I would be in jail, first and foremost.
“And I look at it as a compliment because people just don’t want to believe my ability and I’ve knocked mostly everyone out in the first round.
“It looks fake, but that’s just how good I am. And I beat a five-time UFC champion and of course, people are going to have excuses and they’re going to do anything they can to discredit me.
