Five fights for Jake Paul if YouTube star gets past Tyron Woodley in rematch including finally taking on Tommy Fury

JAKE PAUL will have to go over old ground after agreeing to rematch Tyron Woodley at late notice. The YouTube star beat ex-UFC champion Woodley over eight rounds in August and set up a mega-fight with Tommy Fury.

But with less than two weeks to go, Fury, 22, pulled out with a broken rib and chest infection.
Woodley, 39, was training on standby and ready to fill in for a rematch on December 18 in Florida.
A win for Paul increases his stock even more, and here SunSport runs down what could be in the immediate pipeline.
Tommy Fury
Despite Paul’s unbeaten 4-0 record, he has been levelled with criticism for not facing an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.
And Fury, who is 7-0 and has a celebrity profile after his 2019 stint on Love Island, offered the perfect opportunity to answer those critics.
Even though Paul has hinted towards leaving Fury ‘in the dust’ the fight could be too lucrative and well matched to go to waste.

With wins over ex-UFC stars in Ben Askren, 37, and Woodley, Paul has built up a good rivalry with Dana White’s MMA promotion.
Diaz, 36, has been among those to feud with Paul in recent months and only has one fight left on his UFC deal.
If he can fulfil the last remaining bout on his UFC contract, it would then pave the way for a boxing switch.

Conor McGregor
McGregor, 33, has been at the top of Paul’s ‘hit-list’ for some time and even claimed to have a $50m offer for the Irishman last year.
The former UFC champion still has two fight left on his contract making a move into the ring difficult.
But in 2017, White did make an exception as McGregor fought and lost to Floyd Mayweather, meaning if the money is right, he could do the same again.

Anderson Silva
The Brazilian, 46, was released from his UFC contract in 2020 and returned to the boxing ring, where he was already 1-1.
What followed was a win over former boxing champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 35, and fellow MMA legend Tito Ortiz, 46.
Silva then entered talks to fight Paul but nothing prevailed, meaning the matchup remains a possibility.

Floyd Mayweather
Mayweather, 44, in June faced Paul’s older brother Logan, 26, in an extraordinary exhibition, which ended without a winner as it went the distance.
But beforehand, Paul stole the headlines – and Mayweather’s hat – after he nicked the American icon’s cap, sparking a mass brawl.
Mayweather has insisted he is done with boxing, but is never retired from making money, meaning a fight with the YouTuber cannot be ruled out.

JAKE PAUL plans to whisk stunning girlfriend Julia Rose away on holiday after his rematch with Tyron Woodley. Paul beat Woodley on points in August to go 4-0 as a boxer but the pair will share the ring again on December 18.

After which, Paul thinks he’s in need of a rest from boxing.
The YouTube star, 24, made his professional debut in January 2020, and has since become one of the most polarising figures in the sport.
In Paul’s first three fights, he beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But his win over eight rounds against ex-UFC champion Woodley, 39, was his biggest to date.
Their rematch will mark Paul’s fourth fight in just over a year and leaves the workaholic American finally ready to take a rest with his other half.
He said on his brother Logan’s podcast: “I wanna go on vacation with Julia, travel the world.
“I haven’t done much, you know. I didn’t feel like I deserved a vacation and I haven’t really taken one.

Fury withdrew following a chest infection and broken rib but was swiftly replaced by Woodley, who was training on standby.
Paul confirmed: “It’s official: Tommy Fury is the biggest bitch in boxing.
“He has withdrawn from the fight. The Fury withdrew from the fight due to a ‘medical condition’.
“Who knows what the hell is going on in that camp – I couldn’t believe the news at first. It doesn’t even seem real.
“He lost the biggest opportunity of his life. Now he’ll be looking at home, paying me 60 dollars instead of getting paid millions of dollars to fight me.
“I have fought with a broken nose, sick, damn it, this is boxing. It’s official; He was scared, I think the trash talk affected him.
“The good news is that we spoke to Mr Tyron Woodley, and we said; ‘Hey, do you want to fight?’ He has been training.
“He answered us; ‘Sure, I’ll take the fight, let’s do the rematch.’ I’ll give you an extra 500,000 dollars if you can knock me out.

The pair, both 6ft 9in, posed topless as Bjornsson – known as ‘Thor’ – visited Fury at one of his evening with tour nights.

Fury, 33, scaled 19st 11lb for his last fight, an 11th-round knockout win over rival Deontay Wilder, 36.
Amazingly, during Bjornsson’s strongman days he weighed as heavy as 32 STONE.
But, since transitioning to boxing the super-heavyweight has dramatically lost nine stone, trimming down to 23 stone.

Bjornsson, 33, is preparing to fight strongman rival Eddie Hall, 33, who he called out in May 2020 after he broke the Brit’s 501kg deadlift record.
Ever since, the pair have dropped the weights and picked up gloves to prepare for a spectacle billed as ‘the heaviest boxing match in history’.
Bjornsson has had three tune-up exhibition bouts in preparation for the grudge match with Hall next year.

And Bjornsson is sure to have picked up some tips from unbeaten Fury, who is one of his favourite fighters.

CONOR BENN has revealed a painful tribute to son Eli tattooed on the side of his face and his fear of getting it in the ear from his mum.The 25-year-old welterweight and wife Victoria welcomed Eli Clay Benn to the world last January and the ink-loving ace knew exactly how to mark the arrival.

But, before he could add to his vast array of body art, the son of British boxing legend Nigel had to ring the REAL boss of the Benn dynasty to get permission to break a promise.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash with Chris Algieri in Liverpool, 19-0 Conor revealed all to SunSport: “I have my son’s name tattooed down the side of my face now so he is never far away from me.
“I must admit I had to call my mum and get permission for that one because I always promised her I would never get one on my face.
“I made the call and explained it to her and she gave me permission.
“I was never going over the eyebrow, or doing a Mike Tyson, I had thought about a facial one before but don’t think I have it in me.”
Benn has a red-hot intensity about him and can be as fearsome on the end of a dictaphone as he is on the end of a jab.

He laughed: “I didn’t pick the name Eli just so the tattoo was quick.
“It was so he would be the first to spell his name in school, because I was the last in my class!

The Covid-19 lockdown meant Conor went a year without seeing his Australia-based dad but the family has recently been reunited for tears of joy and hilarity.
Grandad Nigel, 57, was back on babysitting duty while Conor chatted to us before training – but only after a stern word following a bumpy debut.
He grinned: “Eli banged his head for the first time the other day and it was when my dad was looking after him alone for the first time.
“He had a little mark on his face and I wasn’t too happy about it but these things happen.
“I told my dad, ‘I don’t want him turning out like me, so no more dropping him on his head please’.
“But really it’s such a blessing having them two together finally.”

The Game of Thrones star was scheduled to face his former Strongman foe in September but the British Behemoth suffered a detached bicep in the summer to delay the fight until next year.
The Icelandic superstar instead faced arm wrestler Devon Larratt as a short-notice replacement in Dubai and won comfortably with a first-round knockout.
The 33-year-old giant, who played Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane on Game of Thrones, is getting ready for this highly-anticipated match-up and is putting himself through his paces in a big way.
Thor’s incredible workout seems to be paying off as he appears to have cut a huge amount of mass in a video shared on Instagram showcasing his newly trim physique.
Bjornsson captioned it with the following message: “My fat [percentage] is getting pretty low guys. How do you like the new half-Thor?”

CONOR BENN has revealed a painful tribute to son Eli tattooed on the side of his face and his fear of getting it in the ear from his mum.The 25-year-old welterweight and wife Victoria welcomed Eli Clay Benn to the world last January and the ink-loving ace knew exactly how to mark the arrival.

But, before he could add to his vast array of body art, the son of British boxing legend Nigel had to ring the REAL boss of the Benn dynasty to get permission to break a promise.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash with Chris Algieri in Liverpool, 19-0 Conor revealed all to SunSport: “I have my son’s name tattooed down the side of my face now so he is never far away from me.
“I must admit I had to call my mum and get permission for that one because I always promised her I would never get one on my face.
“I made the call and explained it to her and she gave me permission.
“I was never going over the eyebrow, or doing a Mike Tyson, I had thought about a facial one before but don’t think I have it in me.”
Benn has a red-hot intensity about him and can be as fearsome on the end of a dictaphone as he is on the end of a jab.

But get him chatting about his 11-month old boy and his own upbringing and his guard drops down and his sense of humour can floor the room.
Especially when quizzed on how his love of tattoos will impact on his family planning and picking names for more of the next Benn-eration.
He laughed: “I didn’t pick the name Eli just so the tattoo was quick.
“It was so he would be the first to spell his name in school, because I was the last in my class!
“We will probably have a couple more kids, depending on how the career pans out, Eli definitely wants a little brother or sister already.
“It would be handy if the other names are as short, save on ink, but I will leave the other ones up to my wife.”

The Covid-19 lockdown meant Conor went a year without seeing his Australia-based dad but the family has recently been reunited for tears of joy and hilarity.
Grandad Nigel, 57, was back on babysitting duty while Conor chatted to us before training – but only after a stern word following a bumpy debut.
He grinned: “Eli banged his head for the first time the other day and it was when my dad was looking after him alone for the first time.
“He had a little mark on his face and I wasn’t too happy about it but these things happen.
“I told my dad, ‘I don’t want him turning out like me, so no more dropping him on his head please’.
“But really it’s such a blessing having them two together finally.”
