      CONOR McGREGOR has ‘followed’ Jake Paul’s boxing manager on Instagram – fueling speculation of a mega-money grudge match. Paul has long named the UFC legend as his dream opponent, and once claimed to have a $50million offer for McGregor.

      The Irishman still chose to largely ignore the callouts and barely even acknowledged the YouTuber-turned 5-0 prizefighter.
      But now, eagle-eyed fans on social media noticed McGregor has recently followed Paul’s manager and advisor Nakisa Bidarian.
      Additionally, Bidarian was the UFC’s Chief Financial Officer up until 2016 and had a front row seat for The Notorious’ meteoric rise to superstardom.
      But since leaving the UFC, he has helped build Paul as a pay-per-view boxing attraction.
      And despite McGregor opting against interacting with the American, Paul has insisted talks for a lucrative boxing bout have taken place behind the scenes.
      He told Graham Bensinger last year: “His [McGregor’s] manager is good friends with my manager and another one of my advisors and they talk constantly about making it happen.
      “They’re like, ‘Yeah we’re down, we’re about it’.”

      Despite Paul’s claim, UFC fighters are prohibited from competing outside of the MMA promotion unless given special permission.
      McGregor was granted the chance to face Floyd Mayweather, 44, in a 2017 boxing crossover.
      But UFC president Dana White has spent the last year feuding with Paul, leaving the polarising celebrity to doubt if he would bend the rules again.
      He said: “I think Dana White is obstacle No1.
      “If Dana would ever let Conor out of his contract to set up the boxing match, I think that’s what is needed to make it happen.”
      Paul has already knocked out two of White’s prior fighters before, Ben Askren, 37, and then Tyron Woodley, 39.
      It added to KOs over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37.

      Paul initially beat Woodley on points in August and then signed to fight Tommy Fury, 22, in December.
      But Fury pulled out with a bacterial chest infection and broken rib, leaving Woodley to fill in on two week’s notice, only to lose in round six.
      Paul, still yet to face an opponent with professional boxing experience, later called out UFC pair Jorge Masvidal, 37, and Nate Diaz, 36.
      But in an interview on former boxing trainer Teddy Atlas’ podcast, White was quick to shoot down the idea.
      White said: “You notice how he wants to fight f***ing everybody that’s not in his weight class, guys that are older and all this bulls***.
      “Go fight a boxer. Go hump somebody else’s leg, you goofball.”

      Floyd Mayweather, 44, ROLLER SKATING as part of three-session-a-day training schedule to prepare for Money Kicks fight

      FLOYD MAYWEATHER trained three times in one day including a ROLLER SKATING session as he prepares for his potential ring return. Mayweather has recently linked up with boxing coach Gerald Tucker as talks to face YouTuber ‘Money Kicks’ continue.

      Tucker, a former eight-fight unbeaten professional and Team USA amateur representative, cornered Mayweather for his last fight, an exhibition with Logan Paul.
      And they are back to work again as Tucker shared pictures of the two on a run together and Mayweather in the gym.
      He captioned the post: “Three workouts today.. boxing, skating @skaterockcity , and a 7-8 min pace long run.”
      Mayweather, 44, roller skated throughout his career as a means of entertainment and exercise.
      He enjoys it so much, he owns a rink in Las Vegas called Skate Rock City.
      But for now, Mayweather will have to swap the skates for boxing boots with another exhibition comeback bout looming.

      But it appears beforehand she was no stranger to the squared circle – having worked as a ring card girl.
      The Aussie posted throwbacks snaps of her ring girl days and captioned ‘how it started’.
      But she followed it up by revealing ‘how it’s going’ with highlights of her 7-1 professional boxing career.
      Bridges, 34, only defeat came to London’s Shannon Courtenay, 28, in an April 2020 thriller for the WBA bantamweight belt.
      She has since returned with two wins, against Bec Connolly, 37, and France’s Mailys Gangloff, 25.
      Bridges, who taught maths at high school, is renowned for her raunchy weigh-in attire.

      And Bridges also made light of Eddie Hearn awkwardly looking away during weigh – but said the promoter makes up for it in his attempts to secure her another title fight.
      Bridges said on Instagram:  “My next fight is looking to be early next year in the UK. Fingers crossed locking in a world title fight.”

      Boxing’s pound-for-pound No1 recently unified the super-middleweight division’s four belts in the space of just 11 months and four fights.
      But his return opponent remains a mystery, with WBC cruiserweight champion Illunga Makabu, 34, and US star Jermall Charlo, 31, frontrunners.
      Speculation increased when ESPN’s Salvador Rodriguez, via talkSPORT’s Michael Benson, said it ‘could now be one that a lot of boxing purists are not going to like.’
      Other names still linked to Canelo, 31, are light-heavyweight champion’s Dmitry Bivol, 31 and Artur Beterbiev, 36, as well as unbeaten super-middle David Benavidez, 25.
      Still Paul, 25, took the opportunity to align his name with Alvarez as he replied to the news with three ice cold emojis.
      But the chances of the American social media sensation sharing the ring with Canelo, now or ever, are slim.

      The WBC recently ordered Fury to defend his heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte.

      But they later confirmed the percentage of any purse split would be 80 per cent in the champion’s favour.
      Whyte has since protested against the decision and is appealing it, pushing back the dates of the purse bids.

      Sauerland reckons Paul would be scared off once he saw highlights of the Latvian’s chilling knockouts.
      But in an effort to land a huge pay-day with the social media star, Breidis has had ‘JAKE’S BAD KARMA’ inked onto his leg.
      Sauerland was shocked by the tattoo and told talkSPORT Boxing. “He sent it to me, the day before it went out, and I didn’t know what to say!
      “I mean, he is a very jokey character and you mustn’t misunderstand him – he’s preparing now for his mandatory defence now, which he has to do.
      “It will be [Jay] Opetaia, again a very tough contender, he has earned the right to fight him. He is a three-time world champion.
      “So people out there saying he is after Jake Paul… yeah right! 
      “He is a three-time world champion who won the World Boxing Super Series to unify the belts. You can forget that part, of course he looks at it as a commercial opportunity!”
      Sauerland scoffed at the idea of Paul agreeing to take on the IBF and Ring Magazine’s 200lb king.

      He does not have an opponent yet, with WBC mandatory Dillian Whyte seemingly not ready to accept a 20 per cent share of the purse.
      Along with Fury and Williams was fellow heavyweight Joseph Parker, who himself is waiting for a title shot.
      Parker defeated Derek Chisora for a second time in their rematch, and is the former WBO belt-holder.
      Williams, who played 58 times for the New Zealand rugby union side between 2010 and 2019, is now a pro boxer.
      He has fought eight times, winning all of them with three knockouts.
      The 36-year-old is back in the ring on March 23 when he fights Barry Hall in Sydney.

      Fury is eager to fight at Old Trafford next to secure his ‘hero’s homecoming’.
      He said: “It’s always been my dream to fight at Old Trafford.”
      There has also been talk of Fury fighting Whyte in Cardiff for an all British showdown.
      Alternatively, Fury could fight Andy Ruiz jr in the USA.
      The heavyweight world champion has not fought in the UK since his bout with Francesco Pianeta in 2018, having fought Deontay Wilder twice in Las Vegas and once in Los Angeles.
