AMIR KHAN has hinted at sensationally making a U-turn on his retirement plans after finally fighting Kell Brook. Khan revealed he is in the middle of the most gruelling training camp of his life as he prepares for his long-awaited grudge match with Brook.

He had admitted it would be the finale fight in his illustrious career and said he would be ‘done’ with the sport afterwards.
But now, having pushed himself to the limits in camp with new coach Brian McIntyre, Khan claimed there could still be more to come.
He told SecondsOut: “Let’s see where it goes. Because look, I’m going to see how this training camp makes me as a fighter.
“I mean, I might feel so good that I might want to do another one. I’ve never been pushed this hard in my career in any training camp.
“Training this hard, I know I can do it. And if I felt a little bit old that I had to retire, or felt beaten up, I wouldn’t have done it.
“I’ve been running with guys that are younger than me, who are like in their early 20s, out-sprinting them and beating them.

“And my times are better. A lot of the younger guys when I’m running the hills. I’m sparring well, I’m throwing more punches than fighters younger than me.
“So I don’t know. There’s nothing telling me I should call it a day yet.”
Khan, 35, is now being trained in Colorado by McIntyre, the man who cornered Terence Crawford, 34, to a win over the Bolton hero in 2018.
He is even now sparring with former opponent Crawford, who also has a win over Brook, 35, making him the perfect advisor in the camp.
Khan achieved Olympic silver aged just 17 before earning unified world title honours in the professional ranks.
So it leaves little left for him to prove heading into his 40th fight.

Khan is also currently away from wife Faryal and his three kids, Lamaisah, sevenm Alayna, three, and Muhammad Zaviyar, one.
And he admitted hanging them up on his own accord, instead of being brutally forced out of the sport, will always be on his mind when making a choice on his fighting future.

Khan said: “I always said that I never want boxing to retire me, I want to retire at the right time. I just don’t know.
“I’m going to see how this training camp goes because I feel that, if we get a really good win off the Kell Brook fight, then it might open a new chapter in my career.
“Let’s just see. But like I said, I don’t want to be too greedy because you’re always that one punch away from getting hurt.
“I’ve got a family and I’m going to wait and see after the fight what I do.”

And what is most surprising about the shock bout is that it is set to be staged on top of the 700ft Burj Al Arab Jumeirah’s hotel helipad in Dubai.
If sharing the ring with one of the greatest fighters ever was not daunting enough, an opponent afraid of heights would be hopeless.
But the son of a billionaire construction mogul Money Kicks – real name Rashed Belhasa – evidently has no such panic.
He told SunSport: “I did skydiving, I’m not scared!
“But it’s a different experience, but it’s not my event, it’s Floyd’s event.
“So when they told me they’re going to do an event on the helipad, I was like, ‘That’s crazy’.”

Mayweather’s unbeaten 50-0 career needs no introduction but for Belhasa he is as green in the sport as it comes.
Only inspired to fight following the rise of American brothers Logan and Jake Paul, 26 and 25 respectively, has had two wins in the ring.
They came against Anas Elshayib and Ajmal Khan on the celebrity boxing banner ‘Social Knockout’ – which Money Kicks co-owns.
But he will now be stepping into Mayweather’s world – which means not having to shell out a penny from his pocket.
Belhasa said: “I have my own event with my media company, Social Knockout, we started that.
“That’s my event. So people are confused, they think I’m going to give Floyd fifty million, I’m not paying nothing.”
Mayweather, 44, officially hung up the gloves in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 33, in a lucrative crossover fight.

But he has returned twice since, both in exhibitions, starting with a one round demolition job over featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 23.
More recently, in June retired icon was taken the distance over eight rounds by YouTuber Logan Paul, 26, who weighed TWO STONE more.
The former five-weight boxing champion boasted before and after of earning $100million (£72m) for what he called ‘a legalised bank robbery’.
Belhasa cannot speculate how much their spectacle bout will make – but knows it will be more than enough to convince Mayweather back into the ring.
He said: “Floyd is about the money, I know Floyd.
“Floyd’s going to make m’s (millions) no joke. Or Floyd will not go in the ring, he’s the best in the world.”

Belhasa’s entrepreneur dad Saif Ahmed is one of the wealthiest businessmen in the UAE and has afforded his son a life of luxury.
That includes supercars, celebrity meetings and a private zoo which has seen sports stars including Mayweather visit.
So transitioning to the gruelling world of boxing on the surface looks like a questionable choice.
But for Belhasa, the move was about breaking out on his own accord and becoming a trailblazer for boxing in the Middle East.
He explained: “I just wanted to build my own name, build my own empire.
“I wanted to be the first boxer from the Middle East, because there’s like no big boxers over here.
“I was like let me start something. I love challenges, I love hard work. It’s something risky – you can put everything on the line – you can lose everything.
“But I like that pressure.” `

Team GB mentor Rob McCracken is set to be the most high-profile casualty, with AJ leaving his Sheffield base.
And Joby Clayton – the assistant trainer who was heavily criticised for loudly praising some of Joshua’s worst efforts as he slipped to a unanimous points defeat – has vanished from Joshua’s entourage.
But Fernandez – who trains his charges out of Loughborough University – was working with the former WBA, IBF and WBO champion on Monday.

And fellow 32-year-old Chris Eubank Jr, who enjoyed gruelling sessions alongside his friend in the Middle East, says a drastic change is better than going stale.
“Is it a big risk?” the middleweight wondered with SunSport. “I think it is less of a risk than just staying with who he is with and doing the same thing.
“You have to make adjustments, improve and evolve and sometimes you get stale and too comfortable.
“So AJ is looking to get out of his comfort zone, which is the right thing to do.
“It’s extremely hard to change your fighting style later in life. The younger you are the easier it is.
“You are easier to mould at a younger age. When you are an experienced fighter it is very hard to change but it can be done.
“You cannot change a 32-year-old, you just can’t, you can tweak and adjust and learn but your base cannot change.

TYSON FURY has been trading body blows with heavyweight pal Joseph Parker ahead of his next fight. The pair were captured sparring to the midriff in Fury’s Morecambe gym, while the WBC champion remains in talks to fight Dillian Whyte.

Fury, 33, formed a friendship with Parker, 29, after the former WBO belt holder beat his cousin Hughie, 27, in 2017.
And the Gypsy King even helped the Kiwi link up with coach Andy Lee, with the duo since recording two wins over Derek Chisora, 38.
Lee has also been an assistant trainer to Fury recently, for his pair of knockouts over rival Deontay Wilder, 36.
Since then, he has been ordered by the WBC into a mandatory title defence against Whyte, 33.
But the challenger has only been given a 20 per cent share of the potential earnings if the deal goes to purse bids.

Whyte has since appealed, believing due to his ‘interim’ title he is owed 45 per cent.
With a deal unlikely to be agreed by opposing promoter, it is set to go to purse bids, meaning the highest offer will stage the fight.
Fury’s promoters Bob Arum and Frank Warren have revealed March 26 as a potential date for their man to return.
But Whyte’s backer Eddie Hearn doubts it can be that soon, possibly expecting even a two month delay.
Hearn told the BBC:  “People keep talking about March dates – that’s starting to look unrealistic for a fight of this magnitude.

“Either March, April, early May potentially. This is the window for the fight. Depends what happens this week.
“There are so many conversations going on behind the scenes right now. Something could turn at any moment.”
Hearn also confirmed Whyte WILL accept a 20 per cent cut if necessary, despite his appeal to receive a more profitable slice.
He said: “Looks like Dillian Whyte will definitely get his shot at the WBC title, but we have to fight for his rights and make sure it’s fair.
“It’s not going to stand in the way of the fight.”

And now Usyk is set to return the capital with a rematch against AJ looming.
Joshua has invoked his right to an immediate second fight and an attempt to win back the WBA, IBF and WBO belts he lost at Tottenham’s stadium.
And according to Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk, an announcement is nearing.
He told Sky Sports: “Many things are happening at the moment. Soon we will unveil everything.”

A fight with Jake’s brother Logan had long been rumoured for Tyson, but it appears the boxing legend would prefer to face his sibling instead. 
One Vegas source, who counts Tyson as a business associate, confirmed that ‘if all goes to plan’ then the fight is on.
The source added that organisers hope the bout will generate as much as £36million as a live and pay per view event.
The source said: “Mike and Jake are on board for an exhibition bout in Las Vegas.

“A verbal deal has been struck to get it on, but like all forms of sports business, now it’s all about the contracts and money split.
“Mike is looking for a certain figure to get into the ring with a profit share guarantee.

Brixton banger Whyte has refused to accept the 80-20 split in Fury’s favour, which co-promoter Bob Arum admits could pave the way for either Helenius or Charr to face The Gypsy King.
He told talkSPORT: “If Dillian Whyte is not gonna fight for whatever reason, obviously we’re not gonna keep Tyson Fury – not gonna make him pay the price of waiting.
“Fury wants to fight and wants to fight sooner rather than later.
“We can look around, get a good, decent opponent for him to fight if Whyte isn’t available…
“You’ve got guys like Robert Helenius and Manuel Charr.
“You just look at the rankings and pick a couple of guys from the rankings who would make decent opponents.”

Purse bids for the bout were due to be heard last week but were delayed in order to give both parties more time to hash out a deal.
But Arum is hopeful of an agreement being reached to ensure purse bids aren’t required.
He said: “I think unless an agreement is reached with Dillian Whyte, it [the purse bid] will go ahead sometime in the coming week.
“Maybe not on Tuesday, maybe on Friday, but there it is.
“The WBC has decreed that Whyte will get 20 per cent of the purse bid and if the purse bid goes ahead, we’ll figure out what that 20 per cent comes to…
“I’m always optimistic that a deal gets done before the purse bid. I don’t think a purse bid does anybody any good.
“I think the parties should sit down, there’s plenty of money involved, and just work out a normal deal…
“Obviously there’s talks to try and settle the matter so it goes ahead without purse bids.”
Fury, 33, plans to make the second defence of his WBC heavyweight title on March 26 with or without Whyte.
Co-promoter Frank Warren told iFL TV: “Tyson wants the fight to be the end of March. As a team, we’re looking at other situations as well.
