TYSON FURY has told Dillian Whyte that he has finally got his WBC heavyweight world title shot.The Gypsy King holds the green and gold belt that Whyte is mandatory challenger for.

But the 6ft 9in undefeated ace wanted Whyte to accept around £5million to step aside and let him fight WBA, IBF and WBO boss Oleksandr Usyk.
The Ukraine sensation is contractually obliged to rematch Anthony Joshua but AJ was considering a similar deal in the region of £15m to let Fury vs Usyk happen – in Saudi Arabia – IF he was guaranteed a lucrative shot at the eventual winner and holder of all four belts.
After four delayed purse bids for the Fury vs Whyte clash – the final auction is now scheduled for Mexico City on Friday – Fury suggested the negotiations were over and Whyte had finally got his shot.
Putting on his best cockney accent, the Morecambe giant boomed: “I can’t wait to punch Dillian Whyte’s face right in, mate.
“I am going to give him the best hiding he has ever had in his life.
“Dillian Whyte, train hard because you are going to get annihilated, bum.”

Fury’s latest outburst came just hours after Usyk’s manager had accused the Brit of being the man at fault for holding up the division.
Egis Klimas seemed to be sick of Fury publicly blaming the three other fighters for delaying this summer’s super-fight schedule.
The mentor to boxing icons like Usyk and Vasiliy Lomachenko said: “Before the next time you mentionOleksandr Usyk’s name, check with your team, management, advisers and promoters who agreed with all terms and conditions.
“It looks like you are the one who is holding this wagon up, yelling and talking is cheap.”
While Joshua’s initial offer to step aside was in the region of £15m, it’s claimed that he could have made as much as £66m by being guaranteed a shot at the winner as part of the deal.
In another social media attack amid claims that AJ was dithering over the step-aside offer, Fury roared in his best Emerican accent: “I had to do this video.
“Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua have to be the worst two damn businessmen in history. Today they lost 90 million dollars, god damn sons of b.”

KEITH THURMAN warned he will only need ONE comeback fight before eyeing welterweight stars Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford.The ex-WBA and WBC champion returns on February 5 against Mario Barrios, ending his 31 MONTH layoff following injury and Covid setbacks.

Thurman is welcomed back into the ring by former light-welterweight title holder Barrios, who was knocked out by Gervonta Davis last June.
And he insisted the risky return sets him up perfectly to then challenge pound-for-pound rivals Spence and Crawford or WBA champ Yordenis Ugas, 35.
Thurman, 33, told SunSport: “The fans know what Keith Thurman is all about.
“They know what Keith Thurman represents and they know that I’m always trying to bring some of the most exciting fights into the welterweight division.
“Regardless of whether it’s Spence, Crawford, Ugas, whoever is out there, they know after February 5th, as long as they see the Keith Thurman that has always excited them, we’ll be moving on to bigger and better and more exciting fights.”
Crawford most recently defended his WBO title against Shawn Porter, 34, meanwhile Spence is in talks to unify his WBC and IBF belts with Ugas’ WBA version.

Thurman, joining many boxing fans, wants to see Spence, 31, and Crawford, 34, clash to determine the No1 welterweight in the world.
And he called for a contract to finally be put in front of the pair – so that he can then face the winner of the super-fight.
Thurman said: “You’ve seen Errol Spence and Terence Crawford going toe-to-toe with words, they’re world-class fighters.
“They’re not just going to start throwing punches at each other for no reason.
“But if they can get a contract they’d be more than happy to put the gloves on, oblige, be gentleman and go emano emano with one another.
“I love both fights, I can’t take both fights at the same time, but I’d love to see both fights in my near future.”
Before Thurman can plot a path back to the title he first has to deal with rugged Barrios, 26, who pushed Davis, 27, all the way before losing in round 11.

And the American believes Barrios’ love for battle could lead to his downfall as he moves up in weight.
Thurman said: “He’s a talented young man, he has great hand speed, he definitely seems to be a bit of a combination fighter.
“He knows how to let his hands go and when it comes to exploitation it seems like he’s willing to trade with people.
“He likes to put himself in position to land that left hook but when you’re in that position, you’re kind of in the position to take a left hook.
“I look forward to possibly trading left hooks with him. I see myself as the bigger puncher and the bigger guy in the ring.
“I don’t know if he’ll be able to back me up as easily as he did Tank Davis. He seems to be better on his front foot than on his back foot.
“But all that for me is very speculative, so the most important thing for me is to have my fundamentals down.”

He then spent years terrifying the division, well and truly living up to his self-proclaimed ‘Baddest Man on The Planet’ nickname.
In an advert for fashion label Hugo Boss, former unified champ Joshua, 32, credits Tyson, 55, for his iconic career.
He said: “I like Mike Tyson. He embodied the discipline of a boss, which actually made him one of the greatest heavyweights ever.
“He didn’t wait to get there. He lived it from day one.”
Joshua for a long time was the boss of the heavyweight division, previously holding the WBA, IBF and WBO world titles.

CANELO ALVAREZ has been offered a fight against Jermall Charlo on his return – or a two-bout deal with Dmitry Bivol and Gennady Golovkin. The Mexican superstar is a free agent and not aligned to one single promoter or TV company and free to navigate his own path.

According to ESPN, Al Haymon’s PBC banner have offered Canelo a one-fight deal to headline on pay-per-view against American Charlo.
Whereas Eddie Hearn has a double header package, which would see Alvarez move up to light-heavyweight to face Bivol and then a trilogy bout with GGG.
Charlo, 31, is the current unbeaten WBC middleweight champion but has long rivalled Canelo, 31, who campaigns a division above at super-middleweight.
Alvarez finished his final fight of 2021 under PBC, beating Caleb Plant, 29, to become undisputed king.
He banked a guaranteed £30million with that figure rising following the box office success, where 800,000 PPVs were sold.
Staying with Haymon’s stable on either Showtime or Fox could prove a lucrative choice for Canelo.

But, after he split with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy banner in 2020, Alvarez would fight three times under Hearn, while still on streaming service DAZN.

Perhaps the most lucrative fight for Canelo in boxing is a trilogy with long-time rival Golovkin, 39.

The pair contentiously drew in 2017 with GGG unfortunate not to be given the verdict, only for the Kazakh to lose in the thrilling rematch a year later.
Both sold over 1m PPVs but the two would go on separate paths.
Golovkin has remained at middleweight, where he reigns as the IBF title holder and is set to unify it with the WBA belt against Japan’s Ryota Murata, 36.
But Canelo has warned GGG he must move up in weight for the first time to ensure a third instalment of their series.
Hearn is capable of offering the trilogy, having signed Golovkin, who fights on DAZN.
Canelo did have a request accepted by the WBC to move up to CRUISERWEIGHT and attempt a fifth world title.
But challenging champ Ilunga Makabu, 34, appears on the shelf for now.

Tyson, 55, drew in an eight-round exhibition with fellow American great Roy Jones Jr, 53, on a Triller pay-per-view which sold a reported 1.6million packages.
But following the commercial success of Iron Mike’s comeback, he admitted boxing became more of a burden again.
Tyson said on Nelk Boys’ podcast: “I don’t think I will [fight] either but you never know again. 
“Every 12 to 13 months, boom, something is missing.
“Like, something is missing. Boom, I’m missing muscle mass, boom, it’s always something different.
“Guys want to fight me for $100million. I don’t think I’ll ever do stuff like that any more.
“I wanted to do it the first time, just for fun, to have fun. Some people took it to another level and made it financial and the fun went out of it.”

The 32-year-old Team GB legend has been offered a stepaside deal, in the region of £15m, to cancel his rematch against WBA, IBF and WBO world champ Oleksandr Usyk and let Fury, 33, meet him to decide an undisputed champion.
Part of the plan would have to include AJ getting first crack at all four of the belts – after the potential Saudi Arabia clash – but Whyte is the WBC’s long-waiting mandatory challenger and would not accept that lightly.
Fury’s dig suggests Joshua has refused the offer of a stepaside fee AND a guaranteed shot at the winner to fulfil the instant rematch clause he activated after losing to Usyk in September.
In his best American accent, Fury roared: “I had to do this video, Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua have to be the worst two damn businessmen in history. Today they lost 90 million dollars, god damn sons of b******.”
Almost every respected boxing pundit believes the stepaside deal is a no-brainer for AJ, especially as he is yet to confirm a new head trainer after parting with mentor Rob McCracken.
But such a strategic business move might harm his brand and reputation as a self-proclaimed throwback fighter.

And Hearn confirmed that if he does allow Fury and Usyk to decide the first four-belt heavyweight king in history, it is likely to hurt him.
He said: “There has been an offer, there’s been several discussions with myself. I can’t rule it out, it’s not my job. AJ’s the boss – he will rule it out or not rule it out.
“He’s very smart about the plan. He won’t want to do it. Sometimes you have to think with your head. There is a smart play here somewhere but Anthony is not about the money.
“If the plan makes sense from a development point of view – working with a new trainer, maybe having a fight first, going into a much bigger fight – yeah, I can see the sense in it.
“But with Anthony it’s never been a case of, ‘Here’s some money, does it tempt you?’ Because he’s not about that, he’s a throwback fighter, he’s about legacy.
“All he’s thinking about at the moment is beating Oleksandr Usyk.”
A WBC statement said: “The World Boxing Council has received once again requests from the teams of Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte, to extend the period of free negotiations.
